Speed metallers KNIFE share their next swath of destruction into the scene – the German band’s furious third album, Into Your Nightmare, releases December 18, 2026 via Napalm Records. Just in time for the holiday season, the four-piece celebrates the unholy trinity of speed metal, black metal, and scabious punk. Into Your Nightmare is heavier, wilder, and definitely more grim than previous releases, resuming KNIFE’s path authentically.

Together with the announcement comes the first single. “Shadows” immediately pulls listeners into the eponymous darkness. Into Your Nightmare’s closing track is rapid, shrieking, and brings an energy that will hold you by the neck even after the last note has faded away. If you don’t instantly replay the song, that is.

KNIFE über „Shadows“:
“KNIFE are back with a vengeance. Once again, a raging tornado of pure Speed Metal is ascending from Hell. The first single, ‘Shadows’, is fast as a shark, ready to break your neck. Join the pack of Black Leather Hounds and celebrate the first onslaught of our new album, Into Your Nightmare.”

Into Your Nightmare is sinister, raw, and impressively precise in its frenzy. Watch out – as this nightmare won’t let you go!

KNIFE about Into Your Nightmare:
“The KNIFE is back to give all you maniax what you need. The Chamber of Storms has opened its gates and out comes the most relentless and versatile piece of sonic steel. We are delivering the goods and you can be sure that we will continue to haunt your dreams forever. The grimness of steel is upon you! Follow us Into Your Nightmare.”

Leading into the darkness is “Nightmare”, a track that KNIFE have already unleashed on live audiences. Sawing riffs and a crushing bass line open up the gates to metal hell, flanked by thunderous drums and frontman Vince Nihil demanding, “Follow me into your nightmare.” In the underworld, “Sulphur” bows to the Gods of rock’n’roll, while “Teeth Of The Devil” emerges as the snappiest song in the band’s career so far. Crust punk, thrash, and death metal get put through the meat grinder to make up a proper portion of deadly lunacy. With galloping “Sound Of The Requiem Bell” and the following instrumental interlude, “Home Came The Nameless Dead”, KNIFE are opening up to classic 80s heavy metal – featuring their trademark energy. The second half of the album first sweeps over listeners with “Gehenna” and its speed metal-heavy melodies and catchy chorus, ready to become the next live classic. “Insanity” offers what its title states, heading back into darkness. Just like on their first demo, Black Leather Hounds (2020), KNIFE pay homage to the true metal maniax on Into Your Nightmare, having “Raging Metal” serve just that. “Gospel Of The Grotesque” leans into extreme metal of the 80s, after which “Shadows” bundles all of KNIFE’s strengths – unmistakable proof of the band refining their sound.

  1. Nightmare
  2. Sulphur
  3. Teeth Of The Devil

  5. Home Came The Nameless Dead

Exclusive Advance Premiere for Finland: ELECTRIC GUITARS – ‘Only In Your Head’ Official Video

After spending a year in the studio, Danish rock powerhouse Electric Guitars are set to release their new album, “What Are We Waiting For”, on October 30 via Target Music. The band’s third single and new video, “Only In Your Head”, offers another glimpse into a record that breaks away from convention through an adventurous and highly experimental approach to songwriting and production.

“When you’re writing an album, you inevitably end up with countless musical ideas and fragments that get pulled from one song only to resurface somewhere completely unexpected” explains guitarist and vocalist Soren Andersen. “The same goes for melodies and lyrics – they often end up somewhere entirely different from where they started. “Only In Your Head” is the result of exactly that creative process”. He continues: “You can hardly get any further away from traditional songwriting, and we genuinely think it turned into an absolute monster of a track”.

While the lyrics are deliberately open to interpretation, they carry a clear underlying message: Nothing worthwhile comes easy. It takes courage, determination, humility and inner strength to move forward – and a strong sense of self-awareness can take you a long way.

Join the video premiering, one day before its official release, here:

The album has once again been mixed by Ole Bjørn Binding and Morten Hellborn, with Hellborn taking on an expanded creative role as the album’s overall producer. “We gave Morten complete creative freedom to take the songs wherever he felt they needed to go”, says guitarist and vocalist Mika Vandborg. “And he certainly did. Having him oversee the production has given the band an entirely new sonic identity – something we’ve wanted to explore for a long time”.

Mighty Music is proud to announce the release of “What Are We Waiting For”, the brand-new studio album from Danish rockers Electric Guitars, due out on 30.10.2026. The band’s sixth studio album marks a bold new creative direction, with drummer Morten Hellborn taking over production duties and leading Electric Guitars into fresh sonic territory.

“I’ve wanted to take Electric Guitars into the future for a long time, if that makes sense; to leave the usual clichés behind and approach the band as if it were a brand-new project, free of rules and dogmas”, Mortem declares. “Taking full responsibility for the album has been an incredible journey. Soren produces other artists for a living, Mika works with top producers every day, so I definitely had to stay on my toes. I simply went for the sound and production that I wanted to hear, and the two guitarists fully embraced it. We’re incredibly proud of this album”, he concludes.

Recorded at Medley Studios Copenhagen, “What Are We Waiting For” is the first Electric Guitars album produced without founding members Soren Andersen and Mika Vandborg behind the controls. The final mix was also handed over for the first time, with former Duné member Ole Bjørn shaping the album’s modern and forward-looking sound.

“It was a real pleasure to let go of the responsibility for the production process and simply focus on being an artist this time”, Soren Andersen adds. “Instead of worrying about the technical side, I could concentrate on the songs, the performances, the expression and the energy. Morten encouraged us to introduce a lot more electronic elements, so I’ve been diving deep into synths and loops – something I’ve loved ever since growing up with Duran Duran and Depeche Mode”.

Despite its contemporary production, the album features more guitars than ever before, while deliberately moving away from traditional blues-based and classic rock formulas. Every song was carefully evaluated, resulting in what the band considers its strongest collection of material to date.

“What Are We Waiting For” will be released on LP (black, limited to 500 copies), CD and digital formats on 30.10.2026, via Mighty Music.

Tomorrow, WEDNESDAY 13 will unleash his triumphant new live album UnAlive at Pol’and’Rock 2025. Recorded in front of 700,000 rabid Pol’and’Rock festival-goers, Weds’ energy is undeniable. In anticipation of the release, Weds unveils a bombastic live rendition of the Transylvania 90210 banger, “I Walked With A Zombie”. From the roar of the crowd, the pounding of the drums, and The Duke of Spook’s signature snarl, this is badassery in its purest form.

WEDNESDAY comments:
“It all started 21 years ago with my first single, ‘I Walked With A Zombie’ and it has stood the test of time. This song has become a fan favorite Live and always gets the audience singing along to every word. I wrote this song with a live audience in mind so to hear it in front of thousands of people singing it back is such a thrill.”

A career-spanning set of both WEDNESDAY 13 and Murderdolls hits, the band journeys through Mr. Motherfucker’s extensive catalogue on Un-Alive from Pol’and’Rock 2025. With Murderdolls classics like “Summertime Suicide” and “197666”, Weds takes us from the beginning through his solo catalog, featuring Transylvania 90210 hits “Look What The Bats Dragged In” and “Bad Things”, The Dixie Dead’s “Too Fast For Blood”, Horrifier’s “Good Day To Be A Bad Guy”, and a plethora of bangers from Mid Death Crisis including “In Misery”, “When The Devil Commands”, and “Rotting Away”. A bloody good time from beginning to end, this album is meant to be heard with the windows down, your accelerator through the floor, and bats on the moonlit horizon.

IGGY POP to Receive “Man with the Golden Ear” Award at Soundedit

The godfather of punk rock, a music icon, and one of the most influential artists in history, Iggy Pop is going to be awarded the prestigious “Man with the Golden Ear” award. The ceremony will take place at the 18th edition of the Soundedit International Music Producers Festival in Łódź, Poland.

For over five decades, Iggy Pop has been doing what he does best: playing his own way. As the lead singer of The Stooges, he helped define the raw sound of punk rock. In his solo career, he has created songs that have become permanent fixtures in the musical canon. His collaboration with David Bowie and subsequent projects with leading artists have cemented his status as one of the most charismatic figures on the global music scene.

The Man with the Golden Ear Award is an honour bestowed upon creators who boldly reshape the face of music: producers, sound engineers, and artists who pioneer new sonic directions. Iggy Pop will receive it for his exceptional expressiveness, artistic uncompromising spirit, and immense influence on the history of recording.

Reflecting on the announcement, Maciej Werk, director of Soundedit Festival, said: “This is a historic moment for us. After all, we’re talking about a man who defined the raw essence of punk both in the studio and on stage. His collaboration with David Bowie has become an absolute classic of music production. By awarding him the Man with the Golden Ear, we’re paying tribute to a giant whose legacy resonates perfectly with this year’s other honorees: Bogdan Kondracki and Ziemowit Kosmowski. Each of them, in their own way, proves that what matters most in music is one’s own inimitable style.”

Iggy Pop is the third honoree announced for this year’s festival. Bogdan Kondracki and Ziemowit Kosmowski were previously honoured. Bogdan Kondracki is a highly regarded music producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and sound engineer. His body of work includes more than fifty albums by Polish artists, including Dawid Podsiadło, Brodka, Kortez, and sanah. Ziemowit Kosmowski, frontman of the bands Brak and Rendez-Vous, is one of the most important figures in Łódź’s punk and new wave scene. For decades, his work has combined musical rebellion with independence and a unique style. Three winners, three different musical journeys. What unites them is their courage in exploring new sounds and the unmistakable character of their work.

The “Man with the Golden Ear” Award has been presented since 2009 at the Soundedit International Music Producers Festival in Łódź. Past recipients include Brian Eno, Sir George Martin, John Cale, Daniel Lanois, Tony Visconti, Grzegorz Ciechowski, and Wojciech Waglewski.

The 18th edition of the festival will take place October 23–27, 2026. The program will include concerts, a gala, workshops, and lectures. There will also be sessions focused on music production and new audio technologies.

Passes covering three days of festival concerts and events cost 499 zł. Single-day tickets for select days are also available.

Day tickets, full festival passes, and workshop registration details are available now via Ticketmaster, Eventim, and official ticketing partners.

Visit the festival website for more information: https://soundedit.pl/en/home/. Follow the event on Facebook and Instagram.

About Soundedit

Soundedit is the only festival in the world that celebrates the hard work and creativity of the people behind the final sound of the songs we listen to: music producers, sound designers and sound engineers.

Since 2009, Łódź has been the gathering place for the biggest stars of the global and Polish music scenes, as well as thousands of enthusiasts for whom sound is a true art form. It is a place where studio and live sound technology meets artistic vision, and a passion for sound becomes a shared language.

The festival was established by music producer, composer and radio broadcaster, Maciej Werk, who is best known as the founder and frontman of pioneering Polish rock band Hedone. Using his decades-long experience, he set up the festival to bring the focus of attention to the creators of music records.

BraveWords Records went deep into the vault to bring you two tracks that have never been heard before, recorded by David Reece (Banagalore Choir) and Rob Robbins. The songs were recorded to remember the late Rhett Forrester, famous for singing on two classic Riot albums – Restless Breed (1982) and Born in America (1983).

David Reece & Rob Robbins “Remembering Rhett Forrester” is now available to stream or purchase hi res audio downloads from Bandcamp.

Giles Lavery, A&R BraveWords Records: “I met Rob Robbins back in 2019, when I reached out to him to see if he would be interested in working on releasing some of his work with the late, great Rhett Forrester, much of which had gone unreleased. During this project and process, we came up with an idea to revisit two classic Rhett tracks. I put Rob in touch with a singer named David Reece (Bangalore Choir), who had that Rhett vibe (in more ways than one). We picked Rhett’s solo tune ‘Assume The Position”‘ and the Riot classic ‘Restless Breed’! These tunes sat around for a while as Covid got in the way, but now is the perfect time to unleash them! So, get comfortable and ASSUME THE POSITION!”

In 2024, BraveWords Records released Rhett Forrester & Rob Robbins – The Complete Dr. Dirty Sessions, a collection of songs celebrating a little known chapter in the musical journey of much missed rock vocalist, the one and only… the late Rhett Forrester during his time spent living in Canada in the early ’90s. Originally billed under the band-name Dr. Dirty from 1992-1993, the songs were written by Scot Gaines and Rob Robbins before Forrester joined to complete the then new band.

Produced by Robbins, this album features Forrester’s distinct vocals accompanied by a talented ensemble of musicians including Rob Robbins on guitar, keys, and vocals, Rod Albon on bass, Brent Gattoni on drums and Matt Whale contributing keys on the track “Hold On”. Rhett Forrester, known for his powerful voice and stage presence, takes center stage on this album.

German heavy metal force MYSTIC PROPHECY has released a lyric video for their new single “March Or Die,” taken from the band’s upcoming studio album In Metal. The album will be released on November 27, 2026 via PERCEPTION – Powered by Reigning Phoenix Music.

Pre-order In Metal: https://mysticprophecy.rpm.link/inmetalPR

Driven by classic heavy metal energy, powerful riffs and a defiant spirit, “March Or Die” is a song about standing together when everything around you descends into chaos. While its imagery draws from the battlefield, its message is rooted in everyday life: keep moving forward under pressure, face adversity head-on and refuse to give up.

Vocalist R.D. Liapakis comments:

“‘March Or Die’ may draw on the imagery of battle, but its message reaches far beyond the battlefield. At its core, the song is about human survival, perseverance and the need to keep moving forward, whatever life puts in your path. Time does not stand still, and neither can we: our actions determine the road ahead. Standing still is death – so, March Or Die!”

With more than two decades of history behind it, MYSTIC PROPHECY has long established itself as one of the driving forces of the German and international heavy metal scene. Following the success of its acclaimed albums Metal Division and Hellriot, the quintet surrounding charismatic frontman R.D. Liapakis, also known for his work as a vocalist with Michael Schenker, now returns with renewed energy, a strengthened lineup and a record built to hit with maximum impact.

MYSTIC PROPHECY is entering its next era with three powerful new additions to the fold. Tommy Gun takes over bass duties, while guitarist Dan Baune, known from NWOBHM act Monument, and drummer Christophe de Combe of Belgian metallers FireForce complete the renewed lineup. Together, they inject even more power, precision and fire into the unmistakable MYSTIC PROPHECY sound.

In Metal was produced by Dan Baune and R.D. Liapakis, with mixing and mastering handled by Henrik Udd. The album stays true to everything that has made MYSTIC PROPHECY a force for more than 20 years while pushing its sound firmly forward. Fans can expect powerful, concise hooks with instant shout-along appeal, technically brilliant riffs and a hard-hitting, monstrous sound. A modern production gives the songs weight, depth and unstoppable headbanging force without sacrificing the band’s classic heavy metal spirit.

Whether on stage or on record, MYSTIC PROPHECY has always treated heavy metal as a passionate ultimate fight: no compromises, no holding back, just pure power. With In Metal, the band is ready to prove once again why it remains at the forefront of international heavy metal.
