N.Y.C. Deliver Video Single for Title Track of Upcoming Album “Built To Destroy”

Following the stomping “Heavy As Hell”, the first single release from their upcoming album “Built To Destroy”, New York steamrollers N.Y.C. are once again kicking down the doors of the virtual Heaven ‘n’ Hell Bar to blast our ears with the title track of their perfect metal battering ram for the beginning of the end times – a banger that’s even more intense than the single before.

“Built To Destroy” rages, thrashes, and rocks with an attitude that seems to have sprung straight from a time when badass was still considered a compliment to idols, when real Arnies were still allowed to eat the finest jungle mud and stuff themselves with invincible alien hunters for dessert, when action heroes were still wacky adult guys instead of neurotic teens and twentysomethings, when leather jackets were still made of leather, and metal still gave pop the middle finger.

Metal, action flicks, and later, with Doom, shooters belonged together – simply because no other cultural form delivered such a rich and refined punch in the face as those.

And N.Y.C. aren’t in the mood for making exceptions either. Or, how N.Y.C. axeman Tommy Bolan describes the return to lost values: “The title song – a crisp ‘I’m fed up and sick of everything!’ Simply a respawn of the good old ‘Do it My Way’ – and if you get in my way, I’ll run you over and drop a building on you. A feel-good song for everyone who’s had enough!”

Since a touch of wholesome blasphemy goes with the territory, “Built To Destroy” is presented in the flame-spewing cathedral of the Heaven ‘n’ Hell Bar, which for the first time opens a gate to the dark dimension beyond, offering a glimpse of a still unknown post-apocalyptic cityscape. Fans who quickly drew parallels to the aesthetics of the Doom series in the video for “Heavy As Hell” will be reminded even more of the Doom Slayer and his sinister missions.

Once again, the music video is the brainchild of award-winning Hollywood veteran Walter Schulz, who continues the band’s series of virtual performances. The Academy Award winner comments on the unique collaboration with Epic/Unreal Engine as follows: “The approach to the N.Y.C. music videos has been a unique new way and possibly a future industry standard to produce content for this type of material.”

Markus Liedtke, CEO and founder of production company AMNET (ADRENALIZING MEDIA NETWORK), adds: “Every gamer knows Epic’s Unreal Engine – but we’re taking it to the next level. With our groundbreaking N.Y.C. music video project, we’re redefining how artists, gaming, and entertainment merge into a new kind of global franchise.”

The Heavy ‘n’ Hell Bar itself was introduced as the first established location in the still young NRCity narrative universe at San Diego Comic-Con (CCI 2023) in an exclusive comic book edition of the “NRCity Stories Extreme” series entitled “Chapter 0 – A Painful Birth”, in which the band already made an appearance.

About N.Y.C. and the upcoming album “Built To Destroy”

What would it sound like if AC/DC brawled with Judas Priest in an alley, while Motörhead revved a Harley over the whole thing? Meet N.Y.C. and their debut album “Built To Destroy” (release date: November 14). The record was produced by Tommy Bolan and is being released by ADRENALIZING MEDIA NETWORK (Executive Producer). It was recorded at Deep End Music Studios (mixed by Kenny Meriedeth) and mastered by Robert Vosgien (Los Angeles/USA). The album also features a guest performance by Grammy Award Winner and Hollywood composer Vince DiCola (Rocky IV, Transformers: The Movie). “Built To Destroy” is heavy, it’s loud, it’s fed up – and it’s definitely not here to make friends.

Founded by lead singer/guitarist Tommy Bolan, the six-string shredder behind Warlock’s platinum “Triumph & Agony”, born and raised in Queens, NY, the band also features metal legends Stet Howland (W.A.S.P., Metal Church) on drums and Steve Unger (Metal Church) on bass. Together, they channel the sound of New York City – noisy, restless, pissed-off, and ready to rise from the gutter.

The album is a full-on sonic tantrum and the pre-release festivities are coming in hot. The launch of Bolan’s signature guitar strings (via Optima Strings) is underway, alongside some – quite literally – epic and amazing videos with VFX veteran Walter Schulz (Emmy & Academy Award Winner and Hollywood VFX Director). Mr. Schulz and the team of ADRENALIZING MEDIA NETWORK have been working with Unreal Engine and all their latest technologies, spared no effort to get never done before use cases out of the outstanding capabilities of the latest gaming tech. “Walter is a Master at his craft and a perfect fit,“ states Bolan, ”The visual world he has created captures the intensity of N.Y.C.”
Music experts should keep an eye out for some exciting promo content and give-aways with Schecter, Peavey, Morley, Optima Strings, Tascam, EHX, Gator, or Levy’s and look out for the upcoming release of the N.Y.C. signature Wine and Vodka.

“‘Built To Destroy’ is basically the return for anyone to end all of the bullshit that has been dumped on them in their life,” Bolan adds. “All of the madness, lies, and self sacrifice of body, mind, and soul at the hands of others shall now be turned around. As my song says: I am ‘Tired Of Smiling’. All of this has made me the half man, half machine you see before you. I have returned to set my demons free and tolerate no one’s limitations any longer.”

“Built To Destroy” isn’t just an album. It’s a sonic 10-ton nuke honing in on your stereo, so get ready and brace yourselves!

The epic melodic metal force HUMAN FORTRESS unleashes their brand-new single and video “Pain” — a powerful glimpse into their upcoming album “Stronghold”, to be released on October 17th, 2025 via Massacre Records.

Now available on all digital platforms, “Pain” strikes with heavy riffs, soaring melodies, and raw emotion, accompanied by an intense official video.

STREAM/PURCHASE THE SONG HERE: https://save-it.cc/massacre/pain

About the track, the band states: “‘Pain’ is about mental pain and how you want to free yourself from it.”

With its heavy riffing, emotional depth, and soaring vocals, “Pain” showcases the darker and more aggressive side of Stronghold, while staying true to the band’s epic melodic roots.

Following the previously released single “The Abyss Of Our Souls”, this new track underlines the band’s determination to explore themes of struggle, liberation, and human resilience, wrapped in their signature melodic and powerful sound.

“Stronghold” marks the band’s 8th full-length album and represents a new chapter in HUMAN FORTRESS’s more than two-decade career. Produced by the band at Soundhoops Studio, with mixing and mastering handled by Alex Krull (Mastersound Studio), the record delivers a heavier, guitar-driven sound, intensified by Krull’s powerful production.

With the departure of long-time keyboardist Dirk Liehm, “Stronghold” is the first HUMAN FORTRESS album written largely without keyboards, resulting in a more guitar-heavy and aggressive sound. While some tracks explore more mainstream songwriting elements, the album remains firmly rooted in epic heavy metal, blending powerful riffs, soaring melodies, and thought-provoking lyrics.

The album will be available as a 2-CD Digipak and as a limited edition vinyl LP.

Posted by tarjavirmakari on October 4, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: FROM THE LAND, NYTT LAND. Leave a comment

From The Land, the dark country/gothic rock project featuring Nytt Land members, continue their musical journey with the release of their third single, “Would You Know”. The track follows the previously released singles “Psalm 2” and “F.K.” as a prelude to their debut album, “Stolen Season pt. I.“

Stream the new single here: https://7Mater.lnk.to/WouldYouKnow

The band shared insights into the track’s origins, stating: “The song was originally penned a few years ago by Natalia Pakhalenko, the acclaimed composer and vocalist of the popular dark folk band Nytt Land. In this arrangement, inspired by the music of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Green Day, we decided to preserve the originality of Natalia’s sound and vocal technique, without departing from our own sound. This song is a question – are you ready to learn more than you know?“

‘Would You Know’ maintains the band’s core aesthetic, blending ritualistic dark folk with classic country, and serves as another powerful taste of “Stolen Season pt. I” set for release on 21 November via 7 Mater, with distribution by The Circle Music.

Listen to previously released singles “F.K.” and “Psalm 2”.

From The Land is the brainchild of Anatoly Pakhalenko, frontman of the dark folk band Nytt Land. Conceived in 2025, the project serves as an alter ego for Pakhalenko’s creative exploration and experimentation within dark country and blues genres. The band’s aesthetic is described as a “black and white world tired of all this s**t that’s going on around and gradually sinking into an endless sleep.”

“Stolen Season pt. I” was composed by Anatoly Pakhalenko and Aleksandr Rosliakov. The album was recorded at Nytt Land Studio between January and May 2025, with Anatoly Pakhalenko serving as recording and mixing engineer, and producer.

From The Land draws inspiration from the works of H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, and David Lynch.

There is true magic glittering in the second single taken from the forthcoming MER Redux Series release “The Downward Spiral Redux“. Avant-garde metal outfit DREADNOUGHT from Denver, Colorado present their astonishing and unique take on the NINE INCH NAILS classic ‘The Becoming‘ in the shape of a music video – and yes, there is a flute.

The highly anticipated new Redux Series installment is slated for release on November 28, 2025, via Magnetic Eye Records. Available for pre-order here: https://spkr.store/collections/redux-classic-album-re-imagined

Parallel to “The Downward Spiral Redux“, Magnetic Eye Records will release their customar companion album entitled “Best of Nine Inch Nails Redux” that contains 13 cover renditions of deep cuts and all-time classics from across NINE INCH NAILS‘ catalogue recorded by some of the heavy underground’s most exciting artists.

DREADNOUGHT comment: “What excited us most about our choice of ‘The Becoming’ for this tribute was the challenge of covering an artist with a completely different sound from us yet one that we love and respect“, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Kelly Schilling reveals. “While we wanted to pay homage to the original song, we also wanted to fully make it our own. We had a lot of fun interpreting the melodies and nuances with different voicings and instrumentation, and we couldn’t resist adding a new flair of our own.“

DREADNOUGHT hail from Denver, Colorado. Since their genre-defying inception in 2012, the band has focused on creativity and exploration, pulling from all aspects of their musical backgrounds to craft something exciting and unique. Joining in the common ground of extreme metal, DREADNOUGHT explore a blend of prog, doom, folk, jazz, classical, black metal, and post rock. With riveting vocal performances, ferocious grooves, and soaring synthesizers, the Americans have earned a reputation as pioneers of sound. The melodic awe of their debut full-length “Lifewoven” (2013) and the sophomore album “Bridging Realms”(2015) turned darker and more complex with “A Wake in Sacred Waves” (2017) and “Emergence” (2019), to culminate with a beautifully fresh perspective in writing, production, and performance on their latest release “The Endless” (2022).

At this moment, the world’s reliance on machines, algorithms, and artificial intelligence has never been greater. This makes now the perfect time to reflect on the emergence of a musical force whose blend of mechanized instrumentation and raw emotion was singular and revolutionary.

NINE INCH NAILS were formed in Cleveland, Ohio in 1988. They arrived around the same time as grunge when Generation X was developing an awareness of itself, but while there was cross-appeal, the sound they created was clearly and intentionally something very different.

The skepticism of that era came through in the music, with artists from RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE to NIRVANA pushing back against what were acceptable words and actions in our society, and everything from the ideals of what major musicians should do with their fame to what people and corporations stood for were fair targets.

NINE INCH NAILS were at least twice as cynical as everyone else and reflected the singular, driven musical expression of mastermind Trent Reznor. The music he made as NIN has always ranged from infectious, furious, delicate, and sexual to transgressive, uplifting, cautionary, and hopeless. While Reznor did not always make broad, blunt statements about politics, materialism or repression (though he definitely did at times), there was a consistently restless quality to his music. His frustration at the veneer of normalcy and acceptability that characterized modern popular music was palpable, and he seemed to search endlessly for seams to peel back and rip loose to expose what was underneath.

Of NINE INCH NAILS‘ seminal breakthrough album, Spin magazine respectfully had this to say in 2024: “As The Downward Spiral turns 30 this year, it still stands as an act of artistic transgression against the limits of popular music. Pushing the boundaries of creative censorship, it is still considered Nine Inch Nails’ most daring and uncompromising album.”

Join us in paying homage to one of rock’s most ambitious innovators and angriest Gen X voices railing against the status quo, as we present our latest Redux Series installment “The Downward Spiral Redux”, along with the traditional companion album “Best of Nine Inch Nails Redux”. The two double album collections together comprise 27 re-imagined renditions by some of today’s coolest and heaviest artists taking on NINE INCH NAILS classics and deep cuts.

The Magnetic Eye Redux Series features hand-picked classic albums from across the history of rock and metal re-imagined in their entirety from start to finish. Artists we love from within and outside the heavy rock landscape choose tracks to make their own, bringing these milestone records into the new millennium with crushing heaviness and searing energy. To date, we’ve produced Redux editions of PINK FLOYD’s “The Wall”, HELMET’s “Meantime”, BLACK SABBATH’s “Vol. 4”, JIMI HENDRIX’s “Electric Ladyland”, ALICE IN CHAINS’ “Dirt”, AC/DC’s “Back in Black”, SOUNDGARDEN’s “Superunknown”, JETHRO TULL’s “Aqualung”, and RAMONES’ self-titled debut, which have included artists like RED FANG, THE SWORD, MATT PIKE, PALLBEARER, THE MELVINS, ALL THEM WITCHES, KHEMMIS, ASG, SUPERSUCKERS, ZAKK WYLDE, MARK LANEGAN, VOIVOD, and many more amazing artists.

Join us for our tenth foray into Redux territory as we pay proper respect to the US industrial rock legends NINE INCH NAILS!

Iranian SHIVERED to Release New Album “Chains” on November 2nd, First Single ‘Ruins of Memories’ Out Now

After Existential Mourning (2024), Iranian gothic doom project SHIVERED returns with a new full-length Concept album titled “Chains”, set for release in November 2 2025. A concept record built on themes of mass suicide, psychological collapse, and the quiet end of civilization, Chains offers a bleak and immersive exploration of grief, disillusionment, and loss of self.

Mohammad Maki on the new album “Chains”:
“I had this vision of an apocalyptic landscape, where humans hang from chains, a mass suicide marking the end of humanity. Chains became the embodiment of that vision: a collision of fiction and reality, where grief mutates into madness and ultimately leads to destruction. The single ‘Ruins of Memories’ reflects a time when all joy is gone, when the past holds the only good moments, and nothing in the present can bring light anymore.“

Watch the video for ‘Ruins of Memories’:

More info on the album:

“Chains” is an 8-track concept album that blurs the line between fiction and reality, exploring the psychological unraveling of a man consumed by grief. As his connection to the world dissolves, he envisions a global end through a chilling act of mass suicide. After taking his own life, his spirit becomes the harbinger of humanity’s downfall, summoning spectral chains that descend as nooses upon every soul on earth. Set against a backdrop of apocalyptic dread and emotional collapse, Chains delivers a bleak and immersive journey into the darkest corners of the human psyche.

Eight slow-burning tracks shaped by melancholic riffs, stark melodic lines, and emotionally restrained vocals. The sound draws heavily from the lineage of gothic doom—atmospheric yet grounded, sorrowful yet composed. Written, performed, and produced by Mohammad Maki, the album marks a continued evolution in Shivered’s artistic direction: more focused, more intimate, and more suffocating in its emotional weight.

Recommended for listeners of Katatonia, Swallow the Sun, Paradise Lost, and Warning. Chains is not a reinvention, but a refinement—a precise, deeply personal document of despair at the edge of collapse.

Biography :
Shivered is a gothic doom metal project formed in 2015 in Iran by Mohammad Maki, who serves as vocalist, guitarist, bassist, and songwriter. After releasing the debut EP Bereaved and Gone Insane in 2016 and full-length Journey to Fade in 2017, the project went on hiatus before returning in 2024 with the self-produced album Existential Mourning—a bleak, introspective work exploring isolation and spiritual decay. Shivered’s upcoming concept album Chains, set for release in October 2025, delves into mass suicide, psychological collapse, and the collision of fiction and apocalyptic reality.

HUMMING WHALE Release First Single + Video ‘Ocular’ from Upcoming Debut Album

Finnish progressive metal band Humming Whale releases their debut studio album “Chasing Rabbits” in November 2025. Now they have released the first single “Ocular” from that album.

The band’s guitarist Lassi describes the song: “Ocular is the first single from our upcoming debut album. It was originally composed in 2016 as a song based solely on guitar riffs. When recording our album during 2017-2024, we got very inspired by synthesizers and acoustic percussions, and this led to the final form of the song.”

Listen to “Ocular” on streaming services (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal, Amazon etc.): https://push.fm/fl/hummingwhale-ocular

–Lyrics by Aki Hahto
–Composed by Lassi Paunonen, Aki Hahto, Ville Kiiveri, and Antti Lumijärvi
–Record label: Whale Records (self-published)
–Produced by Lassi Paunonen and Ville Kiiveri
–Recorded at Sycamore Studios by Lassi Paunonen
–Mixed by Jussi Kulomaa
–Mastered by Jaakko Viitalähde at Virtalähde Mastering

The story of Humming Whale begun in 2006 in Tampere, Finland. Lassi Paunonen and Ville Kiiveri had already been friends for a long time, and had also been playing together in various bands. Their musical backgrounds steered the new band towards heavier soundscapes, but due to their broad tastes, the band was also from the beginning open to influences from a wide variety of genres.

The band reached its first stable line-up in 2015 with Aki Hahto in vocals and Antti Lumijärvi in drums. The band begun to record its first full album in late 2016 based on the songs they had composed over the years. During the recording stage which took place in Lassi’s studio, the songs begun to absorb more and more influences from analogue synthesis, and the final sound of the album begun to take form. The band took their time in shaping (and even rewriting) the songs. The process finally resulted in the album Chasing Rabbits, published in November 2025.

At the end of the year 2023 the band also arrived at their current line-up, with Matias Kuure in drums.

Members:
Aki Hahto – Vocals and percussion
Lassi Paunonen – Guitar and synthesizers
Ville Kiiveri – Bass
