Japanese BEYOND THE VEIL Sign with Wormholedeath for Release of Upcoming Album “Oblivion”

Wormholedeath proudly welcomes Tokyo-based progressive extreme metal band Beyond The Veil to its roster. The international lineup, featuring members from Japan, the United States, and the United Kingdom, has signed with the label for the release of their upcoming album “Oblivion.”

Formed in 2020 by DB Karma, Yoshihiro Yamaji, and Eric Fetterman, Beyond The Veil quickly established a distinctive identity within the extreme metal landscape. Keisuke Tsuboi joined the band in 2021 on bass and drums, and Dave Griffiths completed the current lineup on bass in 2025.

Their sound merges thrash, death metal, black metal, and blackgaze with elements of progressive rock, jazz, folk, and classical music. The result is music that moves between crushing intensity and reflective, melodic passages. Most compositions come from lead guitarist Yoshihiro Yamaji and keyboardist DB Karma, while vocalist and rhythm guitarist Eric Fetterman writes the English lyrics. DB Karma contributes the Japanese lyrics, and the rhythm section, Dave Griffiths and Keisuke Tsuboi, develops the band’s bass and drum arrangements.

Oblivion was built around a specific ambition: to drag the spirit of 1970s and ’80s progressive rock into direct collision with modern extreme metal. To do it authentically, the band reached for the instruments that defined that era — Mellotron, Moog, and Chapman Stick — giving the record a texture and warmth that sets it apart from anything currently on the heavy music landscape. The songs are long by design. Beyond The Veil was not interested in compromise, and it shows.

Their influences read like a well-worn record collection: UK and Italian prog, Nordic and Asian prog, and a deep, foundational love for thrash, death, and black metal, particularly the output from before 2010. It’s that combination, the old and the extreme, the delicate and the crushing, that gives Oblivion its character.

The band is already working on their next release, with a stated intent to evolve the format while keeping the philosophy intact: modern music made by people who genuinely revere the golden age of progressive rock.

Tracklist:
1 Built on Sand
2 A Glimpse into Eternity
3 Reflection
4 Enigma
5 Collapse
6 Terminus

Finnish dark metal band Horizon of Aeons are set to release their debut album,

Timeless Forms of Desolation, on 29 May 2026 via Inverse Records. The second single ‘Until the Darkness Claims Us’, is unleashed today and it’s available on all essential streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/horizon-of-aeons-darkness

The band comments:

“The title of the song is taken from the book written by Sarah J. Maas. The lyrics are loosely based on that story. The vow of absolute loyalty and brotherhood binds us to one another until our very last breath. The doomy atmosphere in the first part of the song is crushingly heavy, but only momentarily until the melodic relief comes. Later in the song, the heaviness returns, followed by beautiful melodies from keyboards and guitar, and the outro features three consecutive key modulations. This is something you don’t hear every day in metal music.”

Themes and Lyrics

Horizon of Aeons’ lyrics delve deeply into the dark and complex concept of time and its relentless progression. Their songs often explore the infinite future contrasted with the finite past, creating a haunting and introspective atmosphere. The band masterfully weaves themes of existence and memory into their music, painting vivid pictures of a world where time is both a creator and a destroyer.

In addition, Horizon of Aeons touches on themes of cosmic forces, often using esoteric and mystical imagery. They explore the inherent inclinations of humanity, the seductive nature of sin, and the purifying power of darkness. This adds a layer of depth to their music, as they challenge conventional beliefs and embrace the darker aspects of existence.

DOMINUM Announce New Album “Night is Calling”, Out July 3rd

DOMINUM return with their third full-length album, Night is Calling, out July 3, 2026 via Napalm Records. After storming straight into the Top 10 of the Official German Album Charts with their previous album The Dead Don’t Die, the fast-rising band led by mastermind and vocalist Felix Heldt – better known to fans as Dr. Dead – is ready to open the next chapter of their dark and theatrical universe.

Blending substantial songwriting with heavy riffs, arena-ready hooks and irresistibly catchy choruses, DOMINUM have carved out their own thrilling niche between modern metal and horror aesthetics. With their bombastic sound and unmistakable stage presence, the band continues its unstoppable rise within the international metal scene. Night is Calling is now available for Pre-Order – selected formats include the Live at Wacken 2025 Bonus album.

Dr. Dead on Night is Calling:
“’They grow up so fast.’ – Ugh. It makes me sick.
And now I feel it myself: my zombies have grown up. Our creation… has grown up too.
But unlike the pitiful rest, we don’t mourn our childhood. No. We revel in who we are. Being a child, being an adult – what does that even mean? Anyway – the world lies at our feet, and we can do whatever we damn well please.

Believe me from firsthand experience: an army of zombies makes everything a hell of a lot easier… and way more fun with every bit of trouble getting the punch it deserves. We have the power to reshape our world. And oh, we do.
‘Night is Calling’ – this is our outlet.
Stronger melodies, heavier riffs, sharper, unflinching lyrics – honesty as our deadliest weapon. We are who we are. And you… you’re in this whether you like it or not. The undead are on the march, more relentless than ever. Join us – immediately, willingly… or a little later when we come to your neighborhood.
Either way… we’ll be seeing you.
Dr. Dead”

Touring alongside icons such as Bruce Dickinson, Avantasia, Battle Beast and Peyton Parrish, the band has proven its strength both at major festivals and during their own headline shows.

Produced by Felix Heldt and mixed by renowned producer Jacob Hansen, Night is Calling expands the band’s sonic universe with even heavier riffs, bigger choruses and cinematic drama. The explosive opener “The Circus Is In Town” throws listeners straight into DOMINUM’s twisted carnival, while infectious anthems such as “Doctor Doctor” and “Dark Melodies” deliver massive hooks destined to echo across festival crowds. Swedish rockers THUNDERMOTHER let us join the energetic experience that is their live shows once again with the third single from their upcoming live album, Live’n’Alive, coming digitally on April 17, 2026 via Napalm Records. Next up as a pre-taste of their first album with their new label is “Can You Feel It”, originally released on their latest studio album, Dirty & Divine, in 2025. The track from THUNDERMOTHER’s first album with their current lineup shines just as bright in its new live setting as previous hits. Recorded during a show in Cologne, Germany, in February 2025, “Can You Feel It” is now a powerful kick-off for a powerful album. Alongside it, THUNDERMOTHER shares video footage, mirroring the thrilling atmosphere, as well as two further songs: “I Don’t Know You – Live in Cologne” (Black and Gold, 2022) and “Thunderous – Live in Copenhagen” (Rock ’N’ Roll Disaster, 2014) are also available to stream now. This is pure rock’n’roll—and you can feel it!

Filippa Nässil about “Can You Feel It – Live in Cologne”:
“There’s something magical that happens when a good riff comes on through a Marshall stack. I came up with the idea of the song while walking and blasting rock music. We’ve opened gigs with this song, and therefore it also opens the live album since it follows the setlist. It’s heavier and even better than the studio recording. Enjoy.”

Swedish rock’n’roll powerhouse THUNDERMOTHER is set to unleash a thrilling new live album, Live’n’Alive, out digitally on April 17, 2026 and physically on July 10, 2026 via Napalm Records! Founded in 2009 by guitarist Filippa Nässil, the band is well-known for their electrifying rock anthems and relentless touring – some live highlights include supporting the legendary Scorpions both in North America and Europe, playing the KISS Kruise, and performing regularly at major festivals such as Wacken Open Air. In 2025, THUNDERMOTHER unleashed their highly acclaimed sixth album, Dirty & Divine – their first with the new lineup consisting of Filippa Nässil, vocalist Linnéa Vikström Egg, returning bass player Majsan Lindberg, and drummer Joan Massing – hitting the top 3 on the Official German Rock/Metal Charts. Live’n’Alive was recorded on the European headline tour that followed – this hefty 19-track offering showcases THUNDERMOTHER’s explosive live energy through their 2025 setlist.

With no backing tracks, overdubs or re-recording of instruments, Live’n’Alive makes no compromises. This is THUNDERMOTHER – 100% live, 100% rock’n’roll! Live’n’Alive will be available as a digital album first – stay tuned for physical formats!

Filippa Nässil about Live’n’Alive:
“It’s all live. We use no backing tracks like almost every band does today. We have made no overdubs or re-recordings of instruments. It’s ALL live and rock’n’roll. Me on guitar, Majsan Lindberg on bass, Joan Massing on drums, and Linnéa Vikström on lead vox and rhythm guitars on some songs. Song order is not compromised, it’s our setlist of 2025, through and through. Hell yeah, this is how it’s done.”

Pre-Save Live’n’Alive NOW

Further highlights include the groovy “Whatever – Live in Gothenburg” (originally from the 2018 album Thundermother) as well as the catchy “Speaking Of The Devil – Live in Huskvarna” (from the 2025 album). THUNDERMOTHER wraps the album up impactfully with a new version of their biggest hit “Driving In Style – Live in Huskvarna”, originally from the 2020 success record Heat Wave (#6 on the Official German Album Charts).

ANTIROPE Bring Authentic Emotional Intensity w/ New ‘Intervention’ Video & Single

Posted by tarjavirmakari on March 18, 2026

Germany has long been a powerhouse for industrial and heavy metal, but Munich-based outfit ANTIROPE is currently carving out a space that feels decidedly more cerebral and atmospheric. With their latest music video for the single “Intervention,” the band leans heavily into an alternative metal sound that bridges the gap between the gloom of 1990s Seattle Grunge and the crushing weight of modern alternative-metal. “Intervention” is the second music video from their highly anticipated second full-length album, Bring Me To Zero, which will be released on May 1st, 2026, via Eclipse Records.

Directed by the band’s own guitarist, Patrick Fleischer, the music video for “Intervention” eschews traditional narrative tropes in favor of raw, suffocating intimacy. The primary focus remains on the band in a studio-style performance setting, capturing the kinetic energy of vocalist and guitarist Slaven Stokic, bassist Julie Fleischer, and veteran drummer Jürgen “Bam Bam” Wiehler (ex-Bonfire, ex-Megaherz). However, the true centerpiece of the visual experience is a series of grueling underwater vocal sequences.

“For myself, it was a physically demanding process to capture these scenes, performing while submerged in a bathtub that visually exhibits distress,” explains vocalist Slaven Stokic. “These moments are not merely for shock value; they provide a visceral metaphor for the emotional weight and tension in the lyrics. The struggle for breath on screen perfectly complements the song’s oppressive atmosphere, making the Intervention mentioned in the title feel like a desperate necessity for the viewer, rather than a choice.” Guitarist & director Patrick Fleischer adds, “There isn’t a strict narrative or hidden concept behind the video. Our main goal was to create a visual atmosphere that supports the emotional tension of the song. Lighting, color tones, and the overall imagery were chosen to underline a slightly oppressive, intense mood rather than to tell a specific story. We actually like the idea that viewers can connect their own feelings and experiences to the visuals instead of being guided toward one fixed meaning. The focus was always on translating the song’s emotional weight into a strong but restrained visual atmosphere.”

Bring Me To Zero marks a significant evolution for the Munich-based band. Produced by guitarist Patrick Fleischer (Lacrimas Profundere, Darkseed, Alev) at Lungfull Studios, the upcoming album promises a heavier, more hook-driven sound characterized by bold vocal arrangements and an explosive rhythmic backbone. Overall, the album sounds massive without sacrificing intimacy, letting every riff, breath, and impact land with deliberate weight. Antirope’s sound remains rooted in the primal heaviness of Black Sabbath, the brooding grit of Soundgarden, and the hypnotic sprawl of Neurosis, yet the band never settles for homage. Instead, they carve a distinctly modern identity where dense, down-tuned riffs collide with psychedelic textures, and moments of crushing volume dissolve into eerie calm. As Antirope prepares to unleash their new album Bring Me To Zero, “Intervention” stands as a powerful testament to their evolution. It is a track that demands attention, not through flashy gimmicks, but through the sheer gravity of its performance and the uncompromising honesty of its presentation. For fans of heavy alternative metal music that explores the shadows beneath the surface, Antirope is proving to be a mandatory listen. The album contains eleven tracks, including standouts like “Zero,” “Intervention,” “Afterglow,” and a cover of the Cream classic “Sunshine Of Your Love.” The album artwork, created by the band themselves, mirrors that duality: stark, personal, and uncompromising. The album is set for release on May 1, 2026 via Eclipse Records.

IATT Release New Video Single ‘Somnophobia’ from Upcoming Album

Posted by tarjavirmakari on March 18, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: IATT. Leave a comment

Philadelphia-based extreme metal outfit IATT has released a brand new single and video for the track “Somnophobia”, taken from their forthcoming full-length album “Etheric Realms of the Night”, set for release on May 8 via Black Lion Records.

Following the recent release “Drift Away”, the band now unveils another glimpse into the haunting world of their upcoming record and accompanying film project. With “Somnophobia”, IATT continue the descent into the shadowy narrative that unfolds throughout “Etheric Realms of the Night”, where each track serves as a chapter within a larger cinematic journey.

As the story progresses, “Somnophobia” delves deeper into the fragile boundary between consciousness and dreams. The song intensifies the atmosphere established earlier, drawing the listener further into a realm where sleep becomes both inevitable and terrifying. Musically and visually, the track expands the album’s dark, immersive universe, blending oppressive soundscapes with striking imagery that further develops the film’s unfolding narrative.

Speaking about the new single, the band comments:

“‘Somniphobia’ embodies the fear of sleep itself; the moment where rest becomes a threat and the dream world is no longer an escape, but a source of dread. As tension and unease mount, this chapter captures the anxiety of resisting sleep while being inexorably pulled toward it. Sonically and visually, the piece is oppressive and disorienting, reflecting the psychological terror of losing control as our heroine begins to slip back and forth between the waking world and the realm of dreams.

Deepening the film’s descent, “Somniphobia” uses atmosphere, pacing, and stark imagery to fracture reality further, pushing the viewer into the unstable bleed between worlds within Etheric Realms of the Night.“

Tracklist:

01. Drift Away
02. To Lie Beneath
03. Somniphobia
04. Pavor Nocturnus
05. Quietus
06. Walk Amongst
07. Hypnos

With “Etheric Realms of the Night”, IATT continues to redefine the landscape of progressive metal, proving once again that their musical vision knows no bounds.

“Etheric Realms of the Night” drops May 8 via Black Lion Records and is available for pre-order at THIS LOCATION

IATT are:
Jay Briscoe – Vocals, Bass
Joe Cantamessa – Guitars
Alec Pezzano – Guitars, Orchestrations
Paul Cole – Drums
