CURSE OF CAIN return with full force: their brand-new studio album “Achtung” is out today via ROAR! To mark the release, the Swedish dark modern metallers have unleashed a video for “Mirror Mirror”, a striking audio-visual statement that captures their apocalyptic and cinematic spirit.

The new clip is now premiering below – a must-watch for fans of Rammstein, Pain or Motionless In White, and a visual continuation of CURSE OF CAIN’s unique cinematic vision.

Defining their sound as Movie Metal, CURSE OF CAIN are more than just a band – they are storytellers, characters, and creators of their own dimension. With “Achtung”, the saga continues: each track plays like a chapter, immersing listeners in a dystopian struggle of survival, defiance, and unity. Tracks like “Mirror Mirror” and “Starry Eyes” dive deep into the inner turmoil of the band’s personas, while anthems like “Feel The Pain” become rallying cries for outsiders seeking strength in solidarity.

On stage, CURSE OF CAIN blur the line between concert and theater. With elaborate costumes, immersive lighting, and gripping storytelling, every performance becomes an entry point into their universe – a world where chaos collides with order, and where fans are invited to join the journey, feel the power of their music, and embrace the story of struggle and unity.

“We are the ones who walk the line between light and shadow, chaos and order,” Curse Of Cain declares. “Through “Achtung!”, we offer a glimpse into our battles and triumphs. This album is not just our story, it’s yours. Together, we defy the darkness.”

With “Achtung”, CURSE OF CAIN are not just releasing an album – they are unleashing the next chapter of their saga. A defiant statement of unity over chaos, and a testament to what Movie Metal really means: an experience to see, hear, and feel.

IDA MARIA Returns in Full Force with “Seven Deadly Sins + 3” – Riotous, Confessional + Deeply Personal Punk-Rock Opus

Ida Maria returns in full force with Seven Deadly Sins + 3, a riotous, confessional, and deeply personal punk-rock opus that confronts our ugliest truths with blistering honesty and a wicked grin.

Written and recorded with her longtime core band – Jan Ole Kristensen, Ruben Fredheim Oma and Alf Magne Hillestad, — alongside producer Martin Selen and engineer Hans Petter Heggli, Seven Deadly Sins + 3 is as immediate as it is fearless.

From the volcanic fury of “STILL ANGRY” (co-written with Finnish rocker Joonas Parkkonen) to the unhinged groove of “LAZY”, a brutally honest take on shame, duty and the paradox of living in a world that preaches modesty while idolizing fame and fortune. As such each track is a sin dissected, and shouted out loud with no remorse.

DO NOT expect a sermon! — this is Ida Maria. It’s punk rock, baby.

Listen to the album here: https://ffm.to/idamaria7ds

“I’ve dabbled with sin, I’ve dabbled with religion — both can be dangerous if taken too far,” she says. “This project isn’t about casting stones. It’s a shopping list of ‘been there, done that.’ You can’t sin all day and all night — it’s exhausting.” – Ida Maria

The core idea for the album sparked in Helsinki during a writing session with Topi Latukka and Aleksi Kiskinen where the track “More” was born and sparked a brand new fire in Ida Maria.

“More” kicked the doors open: a bold anthem of hunger, ambition, and the human itch for excess. It set the tone for an album that doesn’t just name sins — it chews on them, spits them out, and sometimes laughs in their face.
Neither the sinner, nor the people who judge get away when Ida Maria rips through the paradoxes and the moral two facedness of our society.

Seven Deadly Sins + 3 also features guest performances from legends like Sivert Høyem (Madrugada), Dave Krusen and Tommy Akerholt, adding unexpected textures to an otherwise raw and direct sonic assault.

A punk-rock shapeshifter who’s flirted with every subgenre from riot girl to glam rock, Ida Maria describes her sound simply as:

“A completely bonkers single mom dabbling with forces she doesn’t understand. A punk rocker trying to explain some things.”

For nearly two decades, Ida has set her own rules, building a legacy that resists every attempt at softening her edges. From her breakout debut Fortress Round My Heart to viral anthems like “I Like You So Much Better When You’re Naked,” her music has always offered a kind of sonic confessional — messy, bold, and impossible to ignore.

“Music is sacred,” she says. “I don’t cast spells without a reason. I know its power.”

Born and raised in Nesna, northern Norway — a tiny coastal town where self-entertainment was survival — Ida Maria’s roots run deep. It’s this grounding, combined with her global experience, that fuels her latest record. She’s not just singing about sin — she’s turning it into poetry, philosophy, and punk-rock theology.

And as always, she’s not holding back.

“This is my comment on the world and myself. I’m not trying to project my sins — just have a fun discussion about them.”

With  Seven Deadly Sins + 3, Ida Maria offers more than just a rock album — it’s a confessional booth, a punch in the gut, and a kitchen-table chat with a friend who’s seen some things and still comes back with laughter, love, and rock’n’roll

About Ida Maria
Ida Maria is a Norwegian punk-rock powerhouse celebrated for her electrifying live performances and raw, melodic energy. Drawing inspiration from icons like Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin, as well as her contemporaries, Ida Maria’s music blends a rebellious rock attitude with sharp social commentary.

Ida Maria grew up in the small town of Nesna in the far north of Norway—a town that may seem an unlikely birthplace for a new female international rock star. But talent and willpower know no borders, and in 2008 she crashed onto the international scene with anthems like “I Like You So Much Better When You’re Naked” and “Oh My God” from her debut album, Fortress Round My Heart (2008).

Her powerful, raw voice and high-energy live performances led her to perform at major festivals, including Roskilde (Denmark), Reading (UK), and SXSW (US), as well as collaborate with legends like Iggy Pop and earn praise from artists such as Tom Waits. She has released several albums, including Katla (2010) and Scandalize My Name (2016), and her work has been featured in films, TV shows, and commercials- like Grey’s Anatomy, Big Mouth, Skins, Gossip Girl +++, further solidifying her influence in pop culture.

Ida Maria’s new full-length album is due in fall 2025, and it’s a true powerhouse of a record.
The narrative behind the songs revolves around the Seven Deadly Sins. Through catchy rhythms, sing-along chorus, and sassy yet clever lyrics, Ida Maria delivers a provocative and passionate exploration of sin and the contemporary world we live in.

THE AMBLERS Expand Their Sound with Bold New EP “Never the Two Shall Part”, Out Now

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 30, 2025

The Amblers have never been a band to play it safe. Known for their raw grit, honest songwriting, and uncompromising ethos, the South African duo now step into bold new territory with the release of their upcoming EP, Never the Two Shall Part — out now via Mongrel Records.

The bands evolution is striking but never contrived. For the first time, they incorporate synth textures and layered production elements into their sound. Yet, true to form, the music retains the weight, soul, and signature tones that have earned them a dedicated following.

“We’ve branched out a bit,” the band shares. “There’s a lot more synth work and some new production techniques in the mix. But it all still fits. It’s undeniably The Amblers — just more of what’s always been there, waiting to come out.”

Unlike many contemporary releases that are designed around marketing strategies or big concepts, Never the Two Shall Part emerged organically. The band describes the process simply: songs written out of instinct and necessity.

“We were simply writing again — letting songs come naturally. There was no major concept or theme. Just a continuation of the work. When it’s time to create, we create.”

And while they resist being pinned down to politics or identity narratives, The Amblers acknowledge that the world’s divisions inevitably seep into their work. “It’s not South Africa specifically — more the state of the world. It’s divided. Always has been. Maybe always will be. That’s why art matters. Artists push back. They interrogate. They speak when everything else is noise.”

Still, this isn’t music built to deliver easy answers. Never the Two Shall Part is about expression, not resolution. Every song is personal, yet open for interpretation, inviting listeners to derive their own meaning.

“We don’t have a formula. Songs come how they come. No desired outcome. We don’t create with an audience in mind. It’s for us — and always has been. That authenticity is what people connect to in the end.”

Buy and stream the EP here: https://orcd.co/never2prt

The EP was brought to life with help from trusted collaborators. Drums were recorded at High Seas Studios with Jacques Du Plessis, while much of the band’s unmistakable guitar tone comes from gear crafted by Benjamin Craig of Craig Amps. Both remain integral to The Amblers’ sonic identity.

With Never the Two Shall Part, The Amblers once again prove that they are more than just a band — they are artists who push boundaries while staying true to themselves. And, as they hint, this is only the beginning.

“We’re already writing. More music is definitely on the way.”

SOLENCE Release New Single for Title Track of Upcoming Album “Angels Calling”

Electronic metal group SOLENCE are as bold as ever on their new single “Angels Calling,” an anthemic song about living out loud and in the moment.  Released on September 26, it’s the title track of, and fourth single from, their ANGELS CALLING album, now due  October 31 via Better Noise Music. Listen to the track HERE and view the video HERE. Pre-orders for the album are available HERE.

SOLENCE—frontman Markus Videsäter alongside guitarist David Strääf, keyboardist Johan Swärd, and drummer David “Viking” Vikingsson—is based out of Los Angeles and originally hail from Sweden. They deploy big pop hooks and electro savvy with the heavy yet melodic intensity of trailblazing Swedish metal into a distinctive international sound equal parts hypnotic and uplifting.

“We started writing ‘Angels Calling’ while on tour with The HU back in 2024, inspired by Eastern European folk music,” explains singer Markus Videsäter. “When we had the vocals and the song started to come together, it instantly felt like a perfect title track. This song has everything—the lyrics, the energy, the chorus, the breakdown—everything we wanted the album to include. We really hope the fans enjoy it as much as we do!”

“Angels Calling” follows up on the August 8 release of “Wish You The Worst.” Listen to the track here HERE and watch the video HERE. “Where Were You..?” came first on May 13, available for streaming and downloading HERE, and the lyric video can be viewed HERE. “Dead_Alive” followed June 27. Listen to it HERE and the watch the lyric video HERE. All the videos released so far have amassed over 222k views.

SOLENCE returns on ANGELS CALLING with fresh visuals, a new look, and a retrofitted sound that combines the best of their past with a look into the future for both the group and the genre. “For some reason, I’ve always felt like my time on earth is limited, as if I might die young,” Videsäter explains. “Our music is about making the most of life, relationships, and passion before heaven calls us home.”

With songs like “Monsters in My Head,” “MESS,” “All of the Pain Must Go,” and the title track, the band forms a diverse collection of their most highly charged material yet. “We are now the hype squad and the party train,” smiles guitarist David Strääf.

Each member began playing music at a young age: Markus played the trumpet, David the violin, Johan the bassoon, and Viking the drums. “I knew music was what I wanted to do when I was seven,” Markus says. “I went to music school, where I met the band. We shared the drive to create. That’s the spirit that started this band. The goal was to keep moving, no matter what direction we went.”

Lauded as one of Pandora’s “Rising Rock Artists To Watch In 2023,” SOLENCE have, to date, garnered over 378 million cumulative streams with as many as 862k monthly Spotify listeners and over 100 million video views since their formation in 2012. The band started by releasing heavy renditions of well-known pop hits from the likes of Imagine Dragons, Fall Out Boy, Ed Sheeran, Britney Spears, and Queen before breaking out with their 2019 debut album BROTHERS. It was quickly followed by their sophomore album, DIRECTION, which saw them achieve their first Active Rock radio charting with “Animal In Me” which became SiriusXM Octane’s most-played track in 2020. Octane’s Sr. Director, Music Programming Vincent Usuriello described SOLENCE’s sound as “a dynamic fusion of rock, metal, and pop elements, with powerful vocals, electrifying guitar riffs, and infectious melodies, creating an immersive sonic experience.” In 2021, SOLENCE released their third album, DEAFENING, which showed their range of inspirations from music to anime, gaming, sci-fi, and even philosophy and soon followed with their fourth album HOPE IS A CULT in 2023. Amidst writing new material for SOLENCE, Videsäter and Strääf have lent their songwriting skills to pop acts including Jason Derulo and Bebe Rexha.

In 2025, SOLENCE continues to spread its life-affirming message. “‘Until I hear the ‘Angels Calling’ reminds us that life is way too short to worry about doubt or making mistakes,” Markus points out. “We never know when our time is up, so let’s make the most of it while we can!”

SOLENCE will hit the road later this year for a European tour opening for NOTHING MORE, which launches November 7 in Finland, along with Catch Your Breath and Ankor. General tickets are available now on their official website.

Arizona, extreme metal trailblazers SOULFLY will deliver their tribally fueled thirteenth album CHAMA on October 24th 2025 via Nuclear Blast Records. Once again, a remarkable testament to the Brazilian songwriter’s natural affinity for slamming yet rhythmic riffs that defined his signature sound to listeners around the world. A true return to the spiritual upbringing of SOULFLY that somehow bears a modern-day edge and vitality. Something that could only be attained by a true master of the craft, and Max has stunned us all again.

The latest song from SOULFLY ‘Nihilist‘  continues the Cavalera family legacy with a track that is a testament to raw aggression. The song features the bands legendary sound enhanced by the evolving role of Zyon Cavalera as producer. The track not only delivers on the band’s hallmark sound but it injects a modern, vital, sonic assault onto the listener and features Todd Jones of NAILS.

Max Cavalera comments, “My lyrics are inspired by LG of Entombed and Nihilist. He left this earth in 2021 and he was always a big influence on me. This is one of the heaviest songs on the record and I love the fact that we went to Bulgaria to make the video. Todd Jones is the special guest on the song, delivering the hardest line on the record. ‘I don’t believe in anything!’”

Mike De Leon states, “From the depths of the deepest tribes, we bring you the new Soulfly. This being my first official video ever with the guys, is a complete honor. Enjoy it, crank it up and start the living room mosh pits!”
