The 2026 edition of DESERTFEST BERLIN just turned up the fuzz and drifted deeper into the void, as more mind-bending acts join the already eclectic line-up!
From the sunburned deserts of California, NEBULA bring their fuzz-soaked, interstellar riff rituals – pure cosmic fire. Portland’s BLACKWATER HOLYLIGHT summon a dark, dreamlike blend of heavy psych and ethereal melody, where doom meets hypnosis. Sweden’s EF shape vast post-rock landscapes, full of emotion and light, stretching beyond the horizon. Switzerlands fuzz prophets FOMIES channel raw desert spirit through sun-cracked distortion and groove, while FUZZ SAGRADO (ex Samsara Blues Expieriment) deliver hypnotic, groove-driven stoner rock rooted in thick tones and jam-heavy flow. Seattle’s MONSTERWATCH erupt in a storm of grunge and punk fury, reckless and cathartic. And from the streets of Mexico City, CARDIEL willignite the DESERTFEST BERLIN stage with their skate-punk–meets–psychedelic fuzz revolution – political, wild, and unstoppable.
Today’s new additions crank the line-up to the next level, joining a first wave that already boasts heavy-hitters like RUSSIAN CIRCLES, HERMANO ft. JOHN GARCIA, THE SWORD, KING BUFFALO, ACID KING, TRUCKFIGHTERS, EARTHLESS, and many more!

Metal pioneers Master, one of death metal’s founding bands, have announced the release of Spirit of the West on vinyl, which will be out on 23rd January via Hammerheart Records.
The Spirit of the West blends death metal, thrash metal, punky moments, and even a country song into one diverse offering. Rather than dissecting every track, here are a few highlights to give you a sense of the album’s range. The album kicks off with the thrashy ‘You’ll Be Blamed’, which recalls the earlier Collection of Souls album with strong Abomination tendencies. Similarly, ‘Sign Up’ delivers old-school thrash metal complete with those signature harsh Speckmann vocals. ‘The Serpents Tongue’ is a straightforward, uptempo death metal tune, as is ‘Whatever, Wherever, Forever’. Meanwhile, ‘The Perfect Family’ comes closest to the d-beat Master sound fans came to love on their first two albums. A pleasant surprise arrives with ‘Pistols, Whips and Coyotes’, which channels Macabre‘s riffing style, albeit with slightly simpler drumming. Had Dennis the Menace played on this track, it could easily pass for a Macabre song. The album’s punky attitude shines brightest on ‘Rights of Life’ and ‘Envy’ both of which evoke 1987–1991 era Sodom. The most notable track is the punk-driven ‘Another Day in Phoenix’, which features clean vocals and stands as one of the album’s undeniable highlights. Finally, the closing cover of Johnny Cash‘s ‘Ring of Fire’ trumpets and all, caps off the record in unexpected fashion.
Spirit of the West is one of Master‘s most diverse and surprising albums to date.
Track-list: 1. You’ll Be Blamed 2. The Serpents Tongue 3. Rights Of Life 4. Envy 5. Sign Up 6. Another Day in Phoenix 7. Whatever, Wherever, Forever 8. The Gold Mine 9. The Perfect Family 10. Pistols, Whiskey and Coyotes (The Spirit of the West) 11. Long Knives 12. Ring of Fire
In the genre of heavy music, heavy metal demands your attention with its raw power and pure adrenaline. Through the years, this now classic formula of loud sounds often played in minor keys for that eerie effect has morphed into several subgenres. This form of extreme metal was super-charged and turned into what is now death metal. Make no mistake; Master were the leaders, right from the beginning and continue to be at the top of their game. Master is death metal personified.
There are just a handful of innovators that have proven to have the sheer determination and drive to create the monumental sound of a band armed with their weapons of Master‘s destruction. Paul Speckmann has been there since the very beginning of death metal. A voice of the people and sending his messages loud and clear with constant touring and bringing his music to the world.
Among this group of audio assassins, Paul is gearing up for the next target of annihilation; A steady requirement of endless touring, recording, and writing his view of life as seen through his eyes. Paul creates songs that are topical for an audience he admires and respects. Paul and Master continue to terrorize, obliterate, and demonstrate the need to sanctify and satisfy the audience as this entity continues to grow.
WHITECHAPEL is pleased to present their new video for “Prisoner 666.” The track comes off of the band’s Hymns In Dissonance full-length, released earlier this year on Metal Blade Records.
Comments vocalist Phil Bozeman, “‘Prisoner 666’ was the first song we wrote and musically feels like the 2014/2021 WHITECHAPEL morphing back into the 2006-2010 WHITECHAPEL and continuing the 2006-2010 era for the rest of the album. This is the beginning of the narrative of ‘the last living son’ of the Father Of Lies coming to be. Relinquishing his faith, religion, burning the church, and serving Satan, who he believes is his father.”
Adds guitarist Alex Wade, “It’s got heavy ‘Saw Is The Law’ [from the band’s 2014 Our Endless War full-length] vibes in the opening groove; it’s like we took that song and made it more epic and melodic. The ‘beats per minute’ are pretty similar to ‘Saw….’“
WHITECHAPEL will return to US stages next week on the Rituals Of Hate headlining tour. The journey makes its way through over two dozen cities from November 12th through December 14th and will see the band perform Hymns In Dissonance in its devastating entirety alongside some old favorites. Support will be provided by Bodysnatcher, Angelmaker, and Disembodied Tyrant. Find tickets and VIP upgrades at: whitechapel.soundrink.com

WHITECHAPEL‘s Hymns In Dissonance finds the band reinventing themselves, going darker, deeper, and heavier than ever before. Revolver lauded “a blistering attack of ground-fissuring blasts, terror-thrashed guitar melodies and guts-hucking mosh sections.” Metal Injection concurred noting, “it’s heavy as shit, it’s unrelenting, and it will destroy you.” MetalSucks championed, “one of WHITECHAPEL’s heaviest offerings since the glory days of The Somatic Defilement and This Is Exile,” adding, “It captures that same raw energy and mouth-frothing rage in a way that… hasn’t been seen for quite some time, but with a new and improved modern twist borne of the nearly twenty years of experience they have accumulated since then,” while Blabbermouth hailed the band’s “…white-knuckle, weaponized deathcore with brains, brawn, and a point to prove. Hold on to your helmets.”
The record earned the #2 position on Billboard’s Current Hard Rock Albums chart, #3 on Independent Label Current Albums chart, #4 on the Current Rock Albums chart and #7 on the Digital Albums chart upon its first week of release.
Hymns In Dissonance is available now on CD, vinyl, and digital formats.

Matteo Mancuso, born in 1996, a guitar child prodigy, approached the world of music at an early age, thanks to his father Vincenzo. He enrolled in a musical high school where he deepened his studies in classical guitar and founded the trio “SNIPS.” With this trio, he released the famous version of “The Chicken,” which quickly reached millions of views across various social media platforms.
In 2019, he began a collaboration with Yamaha Guitars, participating in the NAMM Show in Los Angeles, the “Young Guitar Festival” in Bangkok, and several masterclasses in Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Perm).
“An absolute talent. His improvisational ability is light years ahead. It would take two or three lifetimes. It was like when Jacko Pastorius came on the scene. How did he get so good and so fast?” – Al Di Meola
In 2020, Matteo formed his new trio with Stefano India on bass and Giuseppe Bruno on drums and began dedicating space to his compositional vein by presenting his first original tracks. This marked the beginning of his first intense live activity in Italy and Europe, which developed throughout 2021/2022.
On July 21, 2023, his first solo album, titled “The Journey,” was released. This work outlines his authentic, polyhedric musical nature and kicked off a new cycle of concerts with his new lineup, featuring Riccardo Oliva on bass and Gianluca Pellerito on drums. This cycle continued throughout 2024 with more than 50 concerts between the USA and Europe.
In 2025, he embarked on his first major international tour with over 30 concerts in the major cities of the USA, Canada, and Europe. His YouTube channel is followed by a vast international audience of nearly 300,000 subscribers. He has received praise and recognition, among others, from Steve Vai, Al di Meola, Joe Bonamassa, and Eric Johnson.
Nashville-based, blues-soaked Southern rockers Parker Barrow are pleased to announce the release of their new 5-track EP Hold the Mash on Wednesday November 5th. The EP is available on all streaming platforms HERE.
Hold The Mash marks the band’s first release since their debut album Jukebox Gypsies (2023) and features the previously released 2025 singles “Make It” and “Novocaine”.
The EP also includes the new single “The Healer”, and two more new songs “Glass Eyes Crying” and “Olivia Lane.” “The Healer” is available on all streaming platforms HERE.
‘Hold The Mash – Track Listing
1. Make It – 3:26 2. Glass Eyes Crying – 4:22 3. Novocaine – 3:57 4. Olivia Lane – 4:13 5. The Healer – 3:44
Hold The Mash arrives just as Parker Barrow embark on a UK tour supporting Canadian rockers The Damn Truth on November 12th. Tickets are available from The Gig Cartel.
In February 2026 the band will set sail on the sold-out Rock Legends XIII Cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Turks and Caicos, joining Gene Simmons, Blue Öyster Cult, REO Speedwagon, The Guess Who, Uriah Heep, Loverboy, The Outlaws, Eric Burden and the Animals, and many more.
“The recording process for the EP was a completely new experience, unlike anything we’ve done before,” says Parker Barrow’s lead singer Megan Kane. “With guitarist Alex Bender joining the creative songwriting journey with us, everything felt refreshed and reimagined. Balancing our touring schedule while carving out time to record came with its own challenges. Watching the songs grow from voice memos, to fleshing out ideas in the basement of our house to finished recordings has been incredibly rewarding.”
Of new single “The Healer”, drummer Dylan Turner comments “It’s an exciting track because it shows a brand-new side of Parker Barrow,” says Dylan Turner. “Our music has always been groove based, and guitar driven, but this track called for something different. It features Eric Safka’s psychedelic-tinged organ solo which sets it apart from the rest of the tracks we’ve released so far.”
“Olivia Lane is a personal favourite of mine off of the EP,” says guitarist Alex Bender. “The track gradually builds using various textures and dynamics until it climaxes when the full band features on the final chorus. The first single we released from the Mash EP, ‘Make It’, is a hard-hitting rock song that crashes in, and doesn’t let up until the final drum fill. Creating diverse styles of music on the EP shows depth and musicality that is very characteristic of who we are as a band.”
Parker Barrow are led by husband-and-wife duo Megan Kane (lead vocals) and Dylan Turner (drums). The name of the band is a homage to Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow – the infamous American bank robbers during the early 1930’s Great Depression.
A chance encounter in 2019 paired-up Megan and Dylan, who was hunting for a new singer. Two weeks later, they were on the road together, driven by one goal: making their musical dreams a reality. In 2023 Parker Barrow expanded with the full-time inclusion of guitarist and musical director Alex Bender. Dylan lays down a heavy groove while Megan’s soulful vocals soar high above. Alex’s inventive riffs and fiery playing pull it all together, creating Parker Barrow’s signature sound.
Parker Barrow’s vintage rock vibe features elements of Rock, Southern Rock, Blues & Soul; but their distinctive sound is unmistakably their own. There’s an impressive mix of old and new influences threaded throughout the band’s repertoire, including The Rolling Stones, Blackberry Smoke, Allman Brothers Band, Aerosmith, Tedeschi Trucks, The Black Crowes and traces of Led Zeppelin.
Parker Barrow’s debut album Jukebox Gypsies was released to glowing reviews from music press and fans globally; and the single “Back To Birmingham” racked up over a million YouTube views.
Represented by the American booking agency Intrepid Artists, Parker Barrow has earned a reputation for their powerhouse live shows featuring spontaneous jams and fresh twists on their songs. In 2025, the band were busy touring the U.S. and, in the summer, they played festivals, and headline shows in the U.K. and Spain.
Parker Barrow thrives on connecting with fans, both old and new. They will continue touring across the US and Europe through 2026. Their live shows deliver high energy, swagger, and pure heat—a testament that rock ‘n’ roll is very much alive and well.

Germany’s most dynamic export, Electric Callboy, answer that question with “TANZNEID”, their brand-new single that turns dance envy into a full-body experience and sets the stage for their biggest global chapter yet: the TANZNEID WORLD TOUR 2025/2026.
“TANZNEID” captures the moment when music takes complete control – when legs start moving before your mind even catches up. In just a few years, Electric Callboy have risen from local heroes to one of the most talked-about forces in modern heavy music. Their gold-certified anthems “Hypa Hypa”, “We Got The Moves”, and “Pump It”, along with their chart-topping, gold-certified #1 album TEKKNO, have defined a new era of genre fusion – combining metalcore, EDM, and tongue-in-cheek humor into a sound entirely their own.
Viral hits like “Everytime We Touch” and “RATATATA” (with BABYMETAL) expanded their global reach, amassing hundreds of millions of streams worldwide. In 2025, Electric Callboy continued to push boundaries with “Elevator Operator”, “Revery”, and their high-voltage cover of Sum 41’s “Still Waiting” featuring Frank Zummo.
Now, with “TANZNEID” and a string of sold-out arenas on the upcoming TANZNEID World Tour, the band enters its next chapter – turning every show into a worldwide celebration of movement, connection, and pure release, cementing their reputation as one of the most exciting and unmissable live acts of today.
