TORCHIA Unveil New Video ‘Nekromanteion’ from Upcoming Album

Finnish extreme metal force Torchia unveil the official video for “Nekromanteion”, premiering today via Metal Insider. The single will be released worldwide on all digital platforms on March 11th.

Following the first single “Stygian Waters”, which introduced listeners to the darker sonic direction of the band’s upcoming album “They Are Born Under Rules of the Darkness“, “Nekromanteion” pushes further into the occult themes and shadowed mythology that define Torchia’s evolving artistic vision.

Hailing from Tampere, Finland, Torchia have steadily refined a distinctive style rooted in thrash-infused melodic death metal while expanding their sound with darker tonal layers and a stronger emphasis on atmosphere and narrative depth. Across their discography, the band has gradually shaped a fictional realm inhabited by old gods, arcane rituals and practitioners of forbidden arts, blending extreme metal intensity with the imagery of gothic horror.

Musically, “Nekromanteion” reveals another dimension of that evolution. Driven by ominous arrangements and a growing sense of tension, the track places greater weight on mood and atmosphere while retaining the band’s trademark guitar-driven aggression. The title refers to the ancient Greek Nekromanteion, a temple believed to serve as an oracle of the dead. In the song’s narrative, a necromancer attempts to cross into the realm of the dead, risking the perilous passage across the waters of Styx.

As the opening track of the album, “Nekromanteion” sets the tone for the record’s overall direction: a synthesis of memorable songwriting, technical intensity, and darker sonic textures supporting the album’s gothic horror narrative.

With “They Are Born Under Rules of the Darkness“, Torchia further expands the cursed world introduced throughout their previous releases, pushing their sound toward a darker and more blackened dimension while preserving the melodic sensibility and guitar-driven foundations that have defined the band since their early years.

Fans of Behemoth, Cradle of Filth, and Children of Bodom will find in Torchia a band capable of merging extreme metal ferocity with dark storytelling and memorable melodic hooks.

The official video for “Nekromanteion” is now streaming via Metal Insider HERE.

The single will be available on all digital platforms on March 11th.

Garage Rockers LE ZOK Put a New Spin on Bomfunk MC’s Hit Song ‘Freestyler’

Alternative garage rockers Le Zok are set to release their debut album, Yksäs, on 27 March 2026 via Secret Entertainment. The final single released from the album is an unique interpretation of the legendary hit ‘Freestyler’ by Bomfunk MCs.

LISTEN to Freestyler on streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/le-zok-freestyler

–Composed and lyrics by Jaakko Salovaara & Raymond Ebanks
–Mixed by Martin Granö
–Mastered by Risto Ylihärsilä
–ISRC: FI3FC2665810
–Single cover by Vivi Tarkka

Whereas the creamy slide guitar riff in the original version ends in the intro, Le Zok sees no reason to stop the ear candy that started so well, and in this alternative rock reality, the slide guitar continues its rumbling until the end.

The band takes us on a journey to an alternative turn of the millennium, where the mood of the hit song is not defined by an electronic hip hop soundscape, but by shameless rock ‘n’ roll riffs. However, the song gets the respect it deserves, and the enigmatic lyrics get even more attention when sung with raw clarity.

Yksäs Track list:

  1. Tatu (intro)
  2. Pastori
  3. Juoksuhiekka
  4. Radio Day
  5. Skuutin tarina (ei saatana)
  6. Kärpäsvaikutus
  7. Joulupukin tervehdys
  8. Shamaani
  9. Kauppa on auki
  10. Freestyler (Bomfunk MC’s cover)
  11. Löysää göysiin
  12. Nuuksio
  13. Tatu ei suosittele

–Album cover by Vivi Tarkka
–Mixed by Martin Granö
–Mastered by Risto Ylihärsilä

Le Zok is a four-piece band from Helsinki, whose music can be described as alternative rock drawing influences from a wide range of sources. Blending experimental directness with unconventional structures, the band is not that easy to categorize. Their organic and just gritty enough sound features elements of garage, psychedelia, grunge, and 1970s new wave rock.

SIX FEET UNDER to Unleash New Full-Length Album “Next to Die” on April 24th, New Video Single ‘Unmistakable Smell Of Death’ Out Now

American death metal pioneers SIX FEET UNDER will unleash their Next To Die full-length on April 24th through Metal Blade Records.

Next To Die marks a new creative high for SIX FEET UNDER, its dozen songs marking the band’s fifteenth album since 1995’s Haunted. “It started out as an album full of death metal songs with speed and aggression,” says guitarist Jack Owen. “Then [vocalist] Chris [Barnes] had the brilliant idea to keep half of those death metal songs and add some groovier songs in the vein of the early SIX FEET UNDER material. Chris emphasized tempo, so keeping with the beats per minute for early SFU classics, I wrote a side of tasty groove-laden music with Chris doing all the lyrics.”

The creative collaborative approach sees Next To Die essentially broken down into two different sides – Death and Groove – resulting in an aural masterwork that satisfies SIX FEET UNDER as artists, while also offering something for every fan.

The record was produced by Owen and Barnes and mixed and mastered by Mark Lewis of MRL Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, and follows 2024’s Killing For Revenge. It’s the third record that Barnes and Owen have created together since reuniting in 2017. “We don’t discuss lyrical themes, we each write what we’re feeling,” explains Barnes. “We each just write what we find interesting.”

SIX FEET UNDER was initially formed as a side project for Barnes during his final years with the band that he co-founded, Cannibal Corpse. It became the frontman’s sole focus in 1995, coinciding with the release of their debut, Haunted. The current lineup of Barnes, Owen, lead guitarist Ray Suhy, bassist Jeff Hughell, and drummer Marco Pitruzzella make for a devastating unit.

That sonic devastation shines on lead single, “Unmistakable Smell Of Death,” which sees Owen owning his blast and fast riffs with dynamic pull-offs and stop sections. “This song began musically before I had any lyrical ideas in mind,” says Owen. “I dug through my riff archive for some blast and fast riffs and updated them with some pull-offs and stop sections. The middle section riffs were also from my riff archive. I do scratch leads on my demos, but Ray always does a much better job with the leads.

“Lyrically, I’m writing from the perspective of a killer who toys with a victim and unties them, allowing them to fight. He underestimates their ability to fight, and they get the better of the killer, ultimately impaling and beheading him. The ‘Unmistakable Smell Of Death’ is now that of the killer!“

SIX FEET UNDER will return to stages this Summer on a North American headlining tour. Set to begin on July 8th in Detroit and run through August 11th in Chicago, the tour features support from Kataklysm and Wormhole.

Comments Barnes, “July and August are gonna get ultra brutal on our headline tour of North America in support of our new album Next To Die, with our old friends in Kataklysm, and special guests Wormhole. Very psyched to get back on the road in the States, and really, really looking forward to playing Canada on this tour. I think it’s our first time in Canada in decades… You do not want to miss these shows! See you all this Summer!“

The North American journey will follow the band’s previously announced European headlining tour this June with support from Embryonic Autopsy.

HANGING GARDEN Reveal Music Video for New Single ‘Eternal Trees of Turquoise’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on March 11, 2026

Finnish death/doom metallers HANGING GARDEN reveal music video for new single  “Eternal Trees of Turquoise”. Watch the video below, and keep a lookout for the band’s new album, “Isle of Bliss”, set for release on March 20th via Agonia Records.

On their ninth album “Isle of Bliss”, HANGING GARDEN takes a different approach to their signature somber melancholy: the new full-length presents perhaps a darker, more sinister rendition of the oftentimes dreamlike tones of the past releases. Synths and sweet and airy vocal layers – albeit still present – give more room for a heavier aesthetic in the drum and guitar work.

The album was recorded in various studios in southern Finland by the band, along with the drums recorded at Klaukkala’s renowned D-Studio by master Jarno Hänninen. Mixing and mastering was performed by none other than the legendary Jaime Gomez Arellano, known for his work with names such as Opeth, Moonspell, Ghost and many others. The album artwork was created by Kalle Pyyhtinen (Children of Bodom).

The album’s themes revolve around the spiritual aspects of life, death and the liminality in between. The landscapes shift from the introspection of one’s core self, travelling past dense forests and deathless isles – all the way to the vast and distant infinities of the dying stars and the vast and eternal voids spun between.

The band comments on the album: “This time we decided to take a more conscious step towards a more bare-bones composition on the new songs, supporting the perhaps darker and maybe even more ferocious side of our music. We happened to meet with Gomez during a live show of ours a few summers back, and he was an obvious choice for the sound we had in mind. And as we see it, he really delivered.”

“To complement the rawer sound, we also decided to make more use of Riikka’s capability to scream – a stark contrast to her aetheric cleans – and this can be witnessed in the death metal duets between her and Toni that can be found a-plenty along the tracks.”

Tracklisting:

  1. To Outlive the Nine Ravens
  2. Eternal Trees of Turquoise
  3. Isle of Bliss
  4. To the Gates of Hel
  5. The Death Upon Our Shoulders
  6. The Blights Nine
  7. Arise, Black Sun

OATHBOUND’s New Music Video ‘Insomniac’ Turns Sleep-Deprived Anxiety into Lovecraftian Nightmare

SEATTLE, WA — Emerging from the rain-slicked streets of the Pacific Northwest, progressive metalcore outfit Oathbound has unleashed their most ambitious visual work to date with the premiere of the music video for their new song, “Insomniac.” Directed by Brandon Hartsock with CGI by Aryan Ratra, the video is a harrowing descent into the fragile psyche of a man losing his grip on reality due to chronic sleep deprivation.

The narrative expertly weaves modern metalcore intensity with the existential dread of Lovecraftian cosmic horror. The track serves as a visceral representation of anxiety-driven exhaustion, a theme the band members know intimately. This is the third music video taken from their full-length album Colors In Grey which was just released on March 6, 2026 via Eclipse Records.

“This video is deeply personal, born from our own battles with anxiety-driven insomnia,” says guitarist Taylor Harper. “We chose the Cthulhu mythos to represent that 3:00 AM dread—a cosmic, overwhelming weight that feels impossible to escape. We hope viewers struggling with their own ‘monsters’ feel seen. Filming on the Washington coast in December presented massive challenges. Between heavy flooding and hauling gear down steep trails, we battled unpredictable weather that swung from rain to blue skies. The highlight was watching Brandon and Brenton work waist-deep in frigid, sketchy surf. Brandon’s efficient workflow and quick thinking on set were fantastic, allowing us to capture the miserable, cold atmosphere essential for the video.”

This latest full-length from Oathbound, Colors In Grey, is exactly the kind of record the progressive metalcore scene needs right now. It’s a definitive statement that firmly entrenches the band in the upper echelon of the genre. More than a simple collection of songs, this is a rigorous, nine-track emotional excavation. The Seattle outfit has always possessed a gift for channeling raw human experience—confronting themes like trauma, addiction, and heartbreak head-on—but here they successfully forge those dark elements into a work of unexpected, profound catharsis. Released on March 6, 2026 via Eclipse Records, this album is an undeniable, critical pivot point for their career. The album’s thematic core lies in three defining pieces. “Searching for an Answer” is a brilliant, pointed piece of social commentary, diving headlong into the struggle for objective truth in a world rife with manipulation; the philosophical weight is palpable. This is followed by the technical force of “False Ideals,” which critiques herd mentality and blind faith with intricate, hard-hitting progressive arrangements. The emotional centerpiece arrives with “Insomniac.” This track strips away the armor, offering a raw, intimate portrayal of sleepless nights and racing thoughts, perfectly capturing the debilitating mental turmoil of unending exhaustion. These tracks alone prove Oathbound’s unique gift: blending weighty, universal themes with genuinely energetic compositions. The album was produced by Oathbound, and mixed/mastered by Aaron Chaprian (As I Lay Dying, Bleeding Through, Chimaira) at Iron Audio. Artwork for the album and singles was created by Aaron Varshay. Colors In Grey by Oathbound will be released on March 6, 2026 via Eclipse Records.
