MAREA Presents New Single ‘The Beauty of Broken Things’ from Forthcoming Album

Italian atmospheric black metal project MAREA have released “The Beauty of Broken Things”, a new single taken from the forthcoming album “A Caress of Autumn for All the Lost”, due on October 9, 2026 via Hypnotic Dirge Records and Masked Dead Records.

The track offers another glimpse into the increasingly refined musical language developed by mastermind Matteo Balzarini, where melancholic melodies, atmospheric textures and black metal intensity are shaped into a carefully balanced composition. “The Beauty of Broken Things” further reflects the album’s focus on loss, memory and the fragile spaces between darkness and beauty, revealing another facet of MAREA’s most accomplished work to date.

Matteo Balzarini comments:

“This second single of our upcoming new release is by far the most complex and layered song in our discography.
While on our debut album it was the final self-titled track that summarized the whole record, here we did the exact opposite: excluding the acoustic intro, this opening track unveils all the sonic shades that unfold throughout the album.
It is undoubtedly the most representative song of the record, capturing the essence of Marea’s new incarnation. It features some lyrics in Italian, blast beats and tremolo-picked riffs (that lean closer to traditional black metal compared to the mid-tempos of our past releases), all seamlessly blended with the atmospheric textures and melancholic melodies that define our sound.
I think the true uniqueness of this track lies in its three-minute closing guitar solo, a rather unconventional choice for the genre.
Conceptually, it channels the core themes of the whole album: a journey into introspection and regret, a dreamlike scenery painted with the colors of October sunsets.”

Recorded, mixed and mastered by Carlo Meroni at ADSR Decibel Studio, with cover artwork and visual design by Francesco Gemelli, the new full-length marks a significant step forward for the project led by mastermind Matteo Balzarini. Without abandoning the emotional core that has always defined MAREA, the album sharpens every aspect of its songwriting, resulting in a record that is simultaneously more incisive, more melodic and more refined than anything the band has released before.

Rooted in atmospheric black metal and post-depressive black metal, “A Caress of Autumn for All the Lost” refuses to remain confined within genre boundaries. Balzarini continuously shifts between textures and dynamics, allowing songs to unfold through subtle transformations rather than predictable contrasts. Instead of relying on the conventional loud-quiet formula, each composition develops organically, revealing unexpected turns while maintaining a remarkable sense of cohesion. Throughout the album, delicate melodic brushstrokes occasionally recall the melancholic elegance of fellow Italian visionaries Novembre, enriching an already expansive emotional palette.

The result is a work enveloped in an autumnal melancholy that permeates every note. Its atmosphere is fragile yet piercing, intimate yet expansive, balancing moments of despair with glimpses of fragile beauty. Every transition feels purposeful, every melody carefully placed, allowing the album to flow naturally from beginning to end without sacrificing intensity or emotional depth.

Lyrically, “A Caress of Autumn for All the Lost” explores isolation, remorse, regret, broken dreams and the fragile nature of human relationships. It reflects on how a single wrong choice or careless word can shatter a lifetime of trust, and how pride and selfishness often lead us to lose the people we love most. The album also delves into the feeling of being undeserving of happiness, portraying the self-destructive impulses that drive us to wound ourselves, and inevitably those who care about us.

While the sea served as the dominant symbol throughout MAREA‘s previous works, autumn now becomes the central metaphor. The imagery has changed, but the emotions remain deeply familiar: profound loneliness, nostalgia and melancholy continue to define the project’s artistic vision. Just as the music constantly balances darkness with light, desperation with solace, the album embraces this same duality within its lyrical concept.

Far from being an exercise in hopelessness, however, “A Caress of Autumn for All the Lost” ultimately offers a message of compassion. The title itself is conceived as an embrace extended to all those who feel lost: an invitation to recognize the quiet beauty hidden in everyday life, to cherish fleeting moments of happiness, to set suffering aside, even if only briefly, and to forgive ourselves for our failures. It is a raw confrontation with inner demons, an honest confession of fear and vulnerability, but also a resting place for our mistakes and the possibility of redemption beyond them.

With “A Caress of Autumn for All the Lost”, MAREA reaches a new level of artistic maturity, crafting an album that transcends stylistic labels through nuanced songwriting, emotional honesty and a rare ability to transform melancholy into something deeply moving.

WAYLANDER Release New Video ‘Hy Brasil (Isle Of Mists)’ from Upcoming Album

Northern Irish Pagan Metal pioneers WAYLANDER return with “Hy Brasil (Isle Of Mists)”, the second single from their forthcoming album “Mac Tíre – Son of the Land”, due for release on November 6th, 2026. Blending extreme metal with traditional Irish influences, the band will appeal to fans of Skyclad, Eluveitie and Korpiklaani.

Following the release of “Macha”, WAYLANDER delves deeper into the folklore and ancient mysteries of their homeland with a song inspired by “Hy Brasil”, the fabled island said to lie hidden in the mists off the west coast of Ireland.

Shrouded in mystery for centuries, “Hy Brasil” has long captured the imagination of those drawn to tales of lost lands and the unknown. WAYLANDER channels that sense of wonder into a track that brings together metal intensity and traditional elements, providing a fitting musical backdrop to one of Ireland’s most enduring legends.

“A tale of a mysterious island off the west coast of Ireland.” – WAYLANDER

“Hy Brasil (Isle Of Mists)” offers another glimpse into “Mac Tíre – Son of the Land”, an album shaped by the Irish landscape, ancient traditions and the relationship between people and the land.

Formed in Northern Ireland in 1993, WAYLANDER have spent more than three decades developing a distinctive sound that combines extreme metal with traditional instrumentation and themes rooted in mythology, history and pagan spirituality.

With “Mac Tíre – Son of the Land”, the band continues that journey, carrying their established musical and cultural identity into a new chapter.

ARMORED SAINT Present Visualizer for ‘Not on Your Life’

ARMORED SAINT today presents their visualizer for “Not On Your Life.” The track comes by way of the band’s critically acclaimed new full-length, Emotion Factory Reset, released earlier this year on Metal Blade Records. The kaleidoscopic clip was created by Costin Chioreanu of TWILIGHT13MEDIA.

Comments vocalist John Bush, “The opening lyrics are, ‘You already know my name is John Doe / Yeah you already know but still give it a go.’ I think Phil [Sandoval] had the term, ‘you already know.’ Rhyming, I was, ‘oh, okay, this is cool, like, John Doe.’ There are a couple meanings to it: the cool guy from X is John Doe. It also means that you don’t know who this person is. It led to me thinking in terms of something a little vague, which sometimes I like to do. You already know, yet you don’t know at the same time.

Phil sent me the phrase ‘from dollars to donuts,’ and I got ‘Heavens to Betsy.’ My mom was named Betty, and it’s a little nod to [Bitch vocalist] Betsy Bitch because she’s on Metal Blade. I thought, ‘why not just have a little correlation here.’ It’s a cool, great rock song, and it seems to be some people’s favorite. The lyrics ‘dollars to donuts’ sounds like something somebody said on the streets of Manhattan in 1950. I also used the phrase ‘lying on the floor in the drunk tank.’ ‘Drunk tank’ is another term people don’t really use in 2026.”

Watch the band’s previously released video for “Every Man-Any Man” HERE, “Close To The Bone” HERE, and “Hit A Moonshot” HERE.

ARMORED SAINT will kick off their North American co-headlining tour with Metal Church this November. The Metal Saint Tour 2026 begins on November 2nd in San Juan Capistrano, California and runs through November 21st in Agoura Hills, California with support provided by LiveKill.

Following the fiery response both bands received during their recent shows together in Europe and fans’ excitement for the upcoming Fall shows, a Spring 2027 leg of this killer metal package has also been announced. The journey will commence on March 19th in Austin, Texas and close on April 10th in Las Vegas, Nevada. Support will be provided by One Machine.

Offers ARMORED SAINT vocalist, John Bush, “Three weeks in the Fall just didn’t seem enough so we decided to do another run of the Metal Saint tour in the Spring of 2027. Celebrating two classic bands from the ’80s who also have new records out in 2026 is a no-brainer for any metal fan. Plus, there is still a lot of the country to cover. See you at the show!“

Comments Metal Church guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof, “We are stoked to be heading back out on the road with our friends in ARMORED SAINT for another round of the Metal Saint Tour!“

Adds Metal Church drummer Ken Mary, “We are really looking forward to so many fans and friends on tour on this run and we are honored to be with our brothers in metal, ARMORED SAINT!“

Produced, as were the previous four albums, by bassist Joey Vera and mixed by Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Stone Sour), the record finds the quintet challenging themselves. Songs like “Close To The Bone,” “Hit A Moonshot,” and “Every Man-Any Man” have ARMORED SAINT honoring their past as one of the most respected and recognizable bands in heavy music while making forward-thinking music rooted in the present.

Emotion Factory Reset was recorded across several studios including 606 Studios, Secret Hand Studios, Skullseven Studios, Constantine Studios, and Bridge Recording, engineered by Oliver Roman, Bill Metoyer, Joey Vera, and Jason Constantine, and features cover art by DDKing.

CRESCENDIUM Release Brand New Video Single ‘Chandra’ + Announce New Album “DRAC”

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 30, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: CRESCENDIUM. Leave a comment

A mystical fog is settling over the metal world – and CRESCENDIUM is at its heart. The project led by frontwoman and mastermind Elena Cor Tauri embodies gloomy energy channeled from the inner darkness. In this spirit, the project has transformed numerous international shows into dark, occult rituals, supporting such grand bands as Napalm Death, Aephanemer, and Ancst.

Following the release of unconventional compositions on their debut album “Within”, which explores mental illness, the project returns with the concept album “DRAC” (release date: November 11, 2026).

Haunting black and death metal frames a profound message: How is the medieval witch hunt connected to women’s lives in today’s society? In contrast to a digital world where everything is frantic and overwhelming, the music invites listeners to delve into their own shadows and transports them into a melancholic experience. Set against the backdrop of collective wounds from the past, “DRAC” tells the tale of a moving female journey through a repressive world. Powerful black metal passages collide with uncompromising death metal riffs, accompanied by epic choirs and orchestral soundscapes. The bombastic songs are framed by intense screams and soft vocals. DRAC, a word for “dragon,” is formed from the song titles, which blend English, German, and Latin lyrics.

“DRAC” Tracklist:

1. Prologue: As Within, So Without
2. Dämmerlicht
3. Ravish My Flesh, Soil My Name
4. Anderswelt
5. Chandra
6. Epilogue: As The Universe, So The Soul

PRE-SAVE THE ALBUM HERE

The concept album tells the story of a nature-loving woman with magical abilities who fights for the greater good. Yet a patriarchal society stigmatizes her and burns her alive. This brutal fairy tale comes to an end with her transformation into a demon: no longer part of society, but free. The unreleased third single “Dämmerlicht” (coming in late October) weaves in quotes from the “Malleus maleficarum”, the grotesque 15th-century compendium of rules that was responsible for numerous witch burnings. Martin aka ChaoZ, frontman of the black metal band Verderbnis, appears as a dogmatic priest and guest vocalist.
“DRAC” is a reflection on forced exclusion and breaking free from a corrupt system. The first single “Ravish My Flesh, Soil My Name” (released in August 2026) depicts the brutality of this system. It becomes clear that the witch hunt is not just a medieval phenomenon, but continues to take place all over the world today.

CRESCENDIUM presents the new music video “Chandra” as the next chapter in the feminine black metal saga. This surreal, cinematic adventure unfolds in the dark forests of Finland. It is a horror fairy tale about the transformation of a naive girl into a demonic entity. Filled with striking metaphors that demand a second or third look, and intense imagery centered around frontwoman Elena, the music video is not for the faint of heart. Elena accompanies the fable with the words: “Don’t run away from your shadows – instead, embrace them with open arms.” Anyone who wants to experience CRESCENDIUM live is invited to attend the “DRAC” album release show in Hanover on November 7, 2026. Get your tickets HERE.

About CRESCENDIUM

Rebellion and darkness speak from the heart of CRESCENDIUM – under the flagship of Mystic Metal, the project sails through the abysses of the human soul to guide it into the light. CRESCENDIUM is the project of frontwoman and composer Elena Cor Tauri and was founded in 2018. The project has toured alongside bands such as Napalm Death, Aephanemer and Ancst, appeared on regional television, and played shows all across Europe.

The debut album “Within” received extensive praise from international metal media. It tells stories from inner worlds; each track is dedicated to a mental disorder. The compositions swing like a pendulum between chaos and hope, between death, black, and progressive metal. Philosophical, emotional, and gloomy metal with progressive and melodic elements transports listeners into profound realms. Aggressive blast beats and emotive orchestral passages alternate with blood-curdling screams and delicate vocal passages. Surrounding them are mystical sounds that tell of spiritual journeys, the eternal cycle of life and death, and the struggle against oppression. Night falls on dragon’s wings. The unspeakable reveals itself in a musical crescendo.

Bullet For My Valentine will release their new album, Social Apocalypse, on March 19, 2027. The announcement arrives with a towering new single by the samename. “Social Apocalypse” is the band’s first new song in four years; on the title track, Matt Tuck rages against “the end of the world as we know it,” when “all hope has faded.”

An accompanying video for “Social Apocalypse” is available to view below.

Thematically, Social Apocalypse combines the bare-faced lyrical introspection of people weathered and worn by the modern world with wide-eyed observations on a planet that feels as if it is coming off the rails at every turn. “Everything in life is changing at such a rapid pace, and it is hard to find a great deal of positivity when you look at events in the world,” Tuck says. “People are being pitted against each other. The world is full of conflict instead of unity. As a father, I look at what the world is like for younger people, and how completely different it is now.”

Working once more with producer Carl Bown — a veteran of four Bullet albums, alongside work with Sleep Token, While She Sleeps, Malevolence and more — each new album track was diligently scrutinized, constructed, and polished to its immaculate final form. “Carl doesn’t let you settle,” Tuck notes. “He is always ready to speak up, push and challenge you to be the best version of you.”

There are two collaborations on Social Apocalypse – a rarity for Bullet that brings thrilling new dynamics to the record — with Against The Current vocalist Chrissy Costanza stepping in to duet on “In The Absence Of You,” and a hair-raising vocal turn from Lorna Shore’s Will Ramos on “I Don’t Trust Tomorrow.”

SOCIAL APOCALYPSE TRACK LISTING:
“Social Apocalypse”
“In The Absence of You” (Feat. Chrissy Costanza)
“I Don’t Trust Tomorrow” (Feat. Will Ramos)
“Here Without You”
“Acid Rain”
“Fragile”
“CVLT”
“Masquerade”
“Read Between The Lines”
“Enough Is Never Enough”

A very special limited white-label first pressing of Social Apocalypse (album) is available for pre-order exclusive via Ceremony of Roses HERE for 72 hrs only. For digital listeners, you can now pre-save the album HERE.

Then, on September 28, a full-range of offerings go on pre-sale, including standard and deluxe vinyl variants and a signed version of the CD. Head HERE for more information.

Bullet For My Valentine have today announced their biggest tour yet; taking in arenas all over the UK and Europe. Having sold-out The O2 arena, London, last year as part of their co-headline run with Trivium, they are now returning as the sole headline act.

Pendulum will perform as very special guest across all shows, with Dark Devine appearing as openers.

Matt Tuck describes the creation of every Bullet For My Valentine album as a “journey.” Each, the frontman attests, is about capturing the essence of a moment in time; a freeze-frame snapshot of its creators and the world around them. Nothing forced, nothing scripted, nothing disingenuous. Such purity of creation is a methodology that has led to Bullet For My Valentine establishing themselves as one of Britain’s all-time most celebrated rock and metal exports. A truly global phenomenon, their multi-million album sales, multi-billion streaming numbers, a glut of awards, and regular appearances on the biggest stages across the globe remarkably only go some way to telling the story of their influence and impact.

The culmination of those experiences and achievements is writ large across Social Apocalypse, their eighth full-length album, which comprises a lifetime’s learnings and inspirations and definitively captures every facet of the Bullet For My Valentine sound in masterfully-honed results. Reminiscent of the band’s storied past without ever being repetitive of it, it’s with a steely-eyed determination to break new ground that the beloved hallmarks of Bullet For My Valentine past and present are now refocused and re-energized for the future.

Hatebreed have remained a fixture of the hardcore and metal scenes for the better part of three decades. In recent years, the band’s undisputed offensive continues with modern records The Concrete Confessional (2016) and Weight of the False Self (2020), remaining fixtures on charts globally. The band’s core values of self actualization, perseverance, and honest living have carried them from backyard and basement shows to festival dominators, selling out shows consistently across the world, effectively practicing what they’ve preached.

Enlisting long-time collaborator Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Accept, Shadows Fall), “Kill Count Increase” is crossover excellence with accelerating speeds, crushing riffage, and frontman Jamey Jasta’s venomous bark inciting crimson flashes of carnage.

Holding no punches, and taking no prisoners Fatal Paradox see the Connecticut-born juggernaut operating at full tilt, bludgeoning listeners with a barbarous blend of breakdowns, d-beats, and dogpiles. Whether it’s the thrash stylings of “Kill Count Increase” or “Total Invincible,” capital H hardcore excellence of “The Carrion Choir” and “Truth Is A Lion,” rage remains the unifying spark to blow the keg in glorious flashes of violence.

To date, Hatebreed have sold over 1.5 million albums in North America alone.

Hatebreed’s most recent album, 2020’s Weight of the False Self, was praised as a “return to their hardcore roots” by Brooklyn Vegan. The album was deemed “one of their most aggressive to date” by Consequence and “pummeling” by Revolver, while Psychology Today called it “a blazing combination of extreme metal and hardcore punk.” Hatebreed remain one of the most vital bands in the hard rock scene.

Their signing with BLKIIBLK and forthcoming ninth studio album find the band harder than ever, stronger than ever.
