NERO KANE Announce New Album “For the Love, the Death and the Poetry” + Unveil Hypnotic Video for Lead Single ‘As an Angel’s Voice’

Prepare to be drawn into a world where catharsis meets the desert’s desolate beauty. Dark psych folk visionary NERO KANE, alongside his enigmatic collaborator Samantha Stella, is set to release his fourth studio album, “For the Love, the Death and the Poetry”, on September 26, 2025, via Subsound Records. Accompanying this announcement is the unveiling of an experimental short film for the album’s lead single, “As an Angel’s Voice”, a track described by Kane himself as “A desert of the soul. The Love we were never given, a flutter of wings, the fall into the End. The Eternal.“

From his California debut to widespread acclaim, NERO KANE has meticulously crafted a unique and profoundly personal sound. “For the Love, the Death and the Poetry” is no exception; it’s a folk liturgy that navigates the complex terrain of eternal love, the raw fascination with death, and ghostly poetics. Listeners will find themselves immersed in a soundscape that American Songwriter magazine previously lauded as “A desert procession for the living, in goth-folk-style, searching for a belief.“

The album’s sound references the apocalyptic folk of Michael Gira/Jarboe/Swans, the gospel spirituality of Nick Cave, the perdition of Johnny Cash, and the tragic poems of Nico – the latter being evoked in Stella’s algid spoken word, as critics have pointed out. It also incorporates the vision of Jodorowsky and the sick sound of Italian Occult Psychedelia, an element that especially defines their live performances as captivating, shamanic, and unearthly.

Tracklist:

  1. As an Angel’s Voice
  2. My Pain Will Come Back to You
  3. Unto Thee Oh Lord *
  4. Land of Nothing
  5. Mountain of Sin
  6. The World Heedless of our Pain
  7. Receive my Tears
  8. There Is No End
  9. Until the Light of Heaven Comes
*track included only in the CD and digital version

The single “As an Angel’s Voice” is accompanied by an experimental short film directed by Samantha Stella, focusing on objects and symbols that have shaped NERO KANE‘s artistic journey. The musician describes the track with these words: “A desert of the soul. The Love we were never given, a flutter of wings, the fall into the End. The Eternal.” In the images, the dimensions of past and present reiterate an incessant circularity. Kane and Stella become imprisoned souls in the gothic atmospheres that recall the overturning of life and death roles in Alejandro Amenábar’s film The Others.

“As if Bela Tarr and Sergei Parajanov found themselves with Alejandro Jodorowsky in the American desert,” Stella remarks. The short film will be on display at the beginning of October 2025 at the MAIIIM Centre for Contemporary Arts in Genoa on the occasion of the anthological exhibition of Samantha Stella.

“For the Love, the Death and the Poetry” will be coming out on September 26 via Subsound Records in vinyl, CD and digital formats and is available for pre-order here:

VIANOVA Surprise Drop Debut Album “Hit It” Following ONLY FANS Leak, New Single / Video ‘Squier Talk’ Out Now

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 7, 2025

Berlin metalcore eccentrics Vianova have today surprise dropped their debut album HIT IT along with a wild music video for new single ‘Squier Talk’ via Arising Empire, following a week of leaking material themselves via ONLY FANS. The quartet’s lack of convention and creative appoach has rapidly catapulted them to becoming one of the fastest growing acts in modern metalcore, and their accention to the top is about to be realised with the release of one of the most brilliant and quirky metal albums of 2025.

Stream ‘HIT IT’ here: https://arisingempire.com/vianova

Vocalist Alex commented: “It’s only once in a lifetime you get to drop your debut album and we couldn’t be more exited about releasing HIT IT!, our loveletter to the past, the present and the future of music.

“Throughout the record’s story, told through our music videos and social media ‘minisodes’ we have played on crazy gameshows, swapped our gender and were stripped of our identities. ‘Squier Talk’ concludes this visual odyssey with us arriving at the headquarters of the “biggest record label in the world”, Intergalactic Records, where we are confronted with the harsh surreality of the music industry.
It’s also the records opening track, launching you into the sonic rollercoaster that is HIT IT!.
If you like tight poppy song structures, polished commercial metalcore, and lyrics that talk about „being pulled into the abyss/ getting stabbed in the back“ this album is… not for you. HIT IT!”

New video ‘Squier Talk’ is also the latest installment of the Vianova soap opera, told across episodic social media reels, shortform video and a series of creative music videos accompanying the album’s singles.

The story has follows the surreal rise of a caricatured version of the band from studio grind and quirky side hustles into full-blown, Kill Your Friends-esque chaos. The band hustle on a wild gameshow, cruise through night-time Berlin in a vintage Mustang, and even swap genders in a dreamlike twist. After shooting with metalcore’s top director, they’re shockingly replaced by doppelgängers, only to be scooped up by the fictional Intergalactic Records. In the penultimate chapter of the story, in true Vianova fashion, they leaked clips of their own album on OnlyFans, turning the music industry inside out with a mix of satire, spectacle, and raw creativity.

‘Squier Talk’ sees the conclusion of the story (for now), as Vianova’s expectations of “making it” and the stark realities of the music business collide with comedy and poignancy in equal measure.

Track list:
01 Squier Talk
02 Más Rápido
03 Wheel of Fortune
04 Oh No (Believer)
05 Marimba
06 Melanchronic
07 Whatever Alright
08 Two More Hours
09 Future Nostalgia
10 Uh Yaya
11 Obsolete

Vianova have already gained traction in the UK as shown by their sold out their London headliner at 229 in August, and being hailed as one of the highlights of Arctangent festival.

Catch the band live:
17.09.25 – Hamburg, Reeperbahn Festival (DE)
19.09.25 – Helsinki, On The Rocks (FI)
27.09.25 – Köln, Euroblast Festival (DE)
13.11.25 – Leipzig, Neues Schauspiel (DE)
14.11.25 – Berlin, Badehaus (DE)
15.11.25 – Hamburg, Bahnhof Pauli (DE)
21.11.25 – Vienna, Chelsea (AT)
22.11.25 – Munich, Backstage (DE)

Following the viral momentum of their recent singles ‘Más Rápido’, ‘Melanchronic’ ‘Whatever,
Alright ’, and ‘Uh, Yaya’, which were praised by top-tier influencers/reactors like Nik Nocturnal,
METALBIRB, bogdanhxc, and several prominent YouTube channels, Berlin’s Vianova have
quickly emerged as one of most exciting new heavy acts on the scene.

Blending the bounce of nu-metal, the snarling punch of metalcore, and the melodic dramatics of
post-hardcore with a no-f***s-given crossover energy, Vianova aren’t just knocking on the door –
they’re kicking it down. Armed with razor-sharp riffs, pounding grooves, jazz shifts, funk breaks, and a visual aesthetic that’s as unhinged as it is unforgettable, Vianova embrace the absurd and
the aggressive in equal measure. They are chaotic, catchy, and grab attention like a steel chair to
the face.

Armed with their debut album HIT IT!, Vianova push their sound even further. This new chapter
aims for a raw, fierce, and dynamic approach in both mixing and songwriting. Enigmatically
embracing influence from soul, jazz, R&B, and 80s synths, Vianova are unapologetically
themselves, the album a reflection of the quartet’s commitment to not just breaking but entirely
ignoring genre boundaries. Accompanying this sonic evolution is a vibrant visual transformation
and some ever-evolving lore, told through an ongoing series of energetic and charismatic music
videos.

SVARTSOT Release New Album “Peregrinus”, Out Now

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 7, 2025

SVARTSOT release today their sixth – and probably last traditional – album, in a year that is also the band’s 20th anniversary year.

“Peregrinus” is a nine-track concept album telling the tale of an orphaned young man who gets the wrong young lady pregnant and is thus forced to take up the cross and go on a crusade in order to have his sins indulged. Whilst in the Holy Lands, he is repulsed by the way his fellow crusaders act and is almost murdered when he speaks up. He is nursed back to health by a hospitaller, and, after seeing more atrocities and absurdities committed by the crusaders whilst besieging a town, decides that fighting for the church is not something he can bring himself to do. Upon returning home, however, he is mortally wounded by an outlaw and, in his dying breath, discovers that all religion – whether that of Christian Europe or of the Infidel – is worthless lies.

“Peregrinus” is medieval Latin for a wanderer, stranger, or crusader. Seven of the tracks have names taken from the seven virtues crusaders were expected to live up to: Tarditas (slowness), Communitas (community), Simplicitas (simplicity), Libertas (liberty), Neglentia (carefreeness), Spiritualitas (spirituality) and Silentium (silence). Via Dolorosa (“The sorrowful way”) is a pilgrims’ route in Jerusalem. Como Póden Per Sas Culpas (“Because of his sins”) – the album’s intro – is a 13th century Spanish song about going on a pilgrimage, also known as Cantigas de Santa Marias no. 166. A melody in Libertas is borrowed from the 13th century German crusade song Palästinalied by Walther von der Vogelwiede, whilst a melody in Spiritualitas is based on the traditional Lebanese song Al Nedda. All other music is original compositions by Cris J.S. Frederiksen, all lyrics by Thor Bager.

The album was recorded in January 2025 at Antfarm Studios, Denmark, by legendary producer Tue Madsen, who also mixed and mastered the album. Artwork and layout were created by the talented artist and musician Frederik Jensen, who is known from the band Thus, the brightest new stars on the Danish metal scene. Photos were taken by the award-winning landscape photographer Lars Roed, who himself was the drummer in the now defunct Danish metal band Everticum.

“Peregrinus” is out now on LP (black, white and green vinyls, all limited to 200 copies), digipack CD and digital, via Mighty Music. It can be ordered here.

“Peregrinus” tracklist:

1. Como póden per sas culpas
2. Tarditas
3. Communitas
4. Simplicitas
5. Libertas
6. Neglentia
7. Spiritualitas
8. Via Dolorosa
9. Silentium

Following the release of “Kumbl” on Mighty Music in 2022 and a series of shows in support of the album, work commenced on the writing of the next album. It was, however, at this time that long-time drummer and producer of “Kumbl”, Frederik Uglebjerg, announced his departure from Svartsot. Frederik returned briefly in 2024 to help with a series of concerts, including performances at Graspop Metal Meeting and Wacken Open Air, before a new permanent drummer could be found in Rune Frisch and final preparations for recording the new album could be initiated.

Lineup:
Thor Bager – vocals, mandolin
Hans-Jørgen Martinus Vork Rosenwein – whistles, bagpipes, backing vocals
Rune Frisch – drums, percussion, shouts
Simon Ranjan Buje – bass, shouts
Michael Alm – rhythm guitar, backing vocals
Cris J.S. Frederiksen – lead guitar, acoustic guitar, extra mandolin, shouts, backing

‘I Am The Primal Fear’ is the perfect track to mark the release of German metal force PRIMAL FEAR’s new album, “Domination.” Out now via Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM), the 13-track record is a powerful statement of the band’s legacy and a showcase of their unmistakable sound.

A future fan favourite and live anthem in the making, ‘I Am The Primal Fear’ kicks off with a burst of solo drumming before the full PRIMAL FEAR engine roars to life, unleashing thunderous riffs and soaring melodic leads. The verses feel like an intense showdown, with vocalist Ralf Scheepers delivering a fierce performance, driven by the relentless rhythm section of bassist Mat Sinner and drummer André Hilger. Adding to the firepower is the band’s new guitar dream team, Thalìa Bellazecca and Magnus Karlsson, trading off with precision and power.

The intense call-and-response dynamic builds to a powerful, no-holds-barred chorus that sends a clear message: despite a few setbacks over the years, PRIMAL FEAR never considered calling it quits. The eagle was never gone, it was simply gathering strength, ready to soar once again and shake the metal world with an album that confidently claims its place among the top tier of heavy and power metal.

“Again, outta my way, I am the Primal Fear! No one can stop me and I’m gonna hunt you tonight, I’m your worst nightmare whenever you are trying to fool me!” states Scheepers.

About PRIMAL FEAR

Going strong for nearly three decades, the band founded and still led by Mat Sinner (bass, vocals) and Ralf Scheepers (vocals) have never let down their global fanbase. Relentless and constantly pushing their limits, PRIMAL FEAR ensure that no two albums ever sound the same. After “Code Red” [2023] hit some of the highest chart positions of their career, expectations for the next release were higher than ever. Now joined by gifted guitarist Thalìa Bellazecca and former touring drummer André Hilgers, the quintet were more than up for the challenge. And as “Domination” makes clear, no obstacle is too great for PRIMAL FEAR’s powerhouse songwriting trio – Sinner, Scheepers, and guitarist Magnus Karlsson, who has rejoined the band’s live line-up after several years away.

From the hard-hitting opener ‘The Hunter’ and first single ‘Far Away,’ to the uplifting mid-tempo anthem ‘Tears Of Fire’ and the epic ballad ‘Eden’ – featuring a surprise guest appearance by AD INFINITUM’s Melissa Bonny – “Domination” delivers on all fronts. Add in neck-breakers like ‘Scream’ and ‘Crossfire,’ and the reflective, string-and-piano-driven closer ‘A Tune I Won’t Forget,’ and it’s clear: PRIMAL FEAR aren’t here to reclaim the crown – they’re here to prove they’ve never left the throne of heavy/power metal royalty.

Mat Sinner | bass, vocals

THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE ZUGLY’s New Album “November Boys” Out Now

Through the album trilogy Misanthropical House, Algorithm and Blues and Research and Destroy, THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE ZUGLY have limped their way through midlife crises and pubescent antics. Loud-mouthed and bitter, we have embraced our fate as mediocre losers on the narrow and winding Scandirock path.

Haunted by a constant bad conscience over the outcome of our miserable lives, which in addition to bitterness, have resulted in substance abuse, pettiness, greed, spiritual lethargy, bastard offspring, excessive self-confidence, understated self-awareness, and of course – bodily decay. In breif; A urinal without a drain.

The question has always been nagging: Why us? Why have we, since the dawn of time, been made to curse the day we were born?

Well the truth shall set you free, as they say.

DAEDRIC Release New Single & Music Video ‘Dark Legacy’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 7, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: DAEDRIC. Leave a comment

Daedric continues the journey to their album ‘As The Light Left’ with their latest single, “Dark Legacy” out now across all platforms from FiXT.

The song marks a chilling turn in the band’s sonic journey. Blending alternative, dark pop, and ballad-style songwriting, the track conjures an atmosphere that’s as seductive as it is sinister. With siren-like vocals, ethereal synths, and cinematic orchestration, the song stands as one of the most haunting moments on Daedric’s forthcoming album.

Inspired by the eerie magic of Pan’s Labyrinth and the sultry darkness of The Weeknd’s early Trilogy era, “Dark Legacy” is unlike anything else in Daedric’s catalog. The track was initially written by Clay and later elevated by Geoff, who infused it with dramatic orchestral elements in the second chorus, heightening its hypnotic tension.

Lyrically, “Dark Legacy” dives deep into questions of fate versus free will, exploring overwhelming desire, possession, and the loss of self in a toxic relationship. Fire and shadow imagery reflect the dangerous allure of forbidden love the kind that consumes everything in its path.

Musically, the track builds with drums, guitars, bass, and synthesizers, weaving in unconventional sonic textures, including a distorted monster-like vocal that Clay originally recorded as a placeholder that ended up defining the song. A striking Arabic-inspired section adds an exotic flair, reinforcing the song’s sensual yet ominous pull.

“This was my Weeknd song. I wanted that sexy, sultry, but dark energy.”
 – Daedric

“Dark Legacy
” is a powerful companion piece to the previously released “Iridescent Wings,” together forming a thematic arc that traces a relationship’s descent from infatuation into obsession and ruin. With its sad, chill mood and immersive production, “Dark Legacy” offers listeners a beautiful yet brutal ballad that lingers long after the final note.

‘As The Light Left’ is an album forged in both chaos and catharsis. With an unrelenting blend of nu-metal grit, cinematic darkness, and raw vulnerability, Daedric pushes their sound further than ever before—channeling pain, nostalgia, and primal fury.

The album opens with “The Other Terror,” fueled by a mental breakdown and relentless guitar riffs keeping the chaos sharp and direct. With unnerving  screams and a tempo that mirrors the energy of fan-favorite “Nirn,” it sets the tone for an album that refuses to hold back. “Sand Tiger” stomps onto the scene like a nu-metal time capsule from the early 2000s, gritty, groovy, and scratched to hell. Inspired by the Cave of Wonders from Aladdin and built from a Linkin Park-esque synth loop, the track fuses live and electronic drums with existential lyrical weight. Then there’s “Callous”, a song that almost didn’t survive. The track was set to be delivered to the mixing engineer when the band collectively decided to tear it apart and rebuild it from the ground up. What emerged was a modern, emotionally devastating anthem about betrayal and self-inflicted retribution. It’s Daedric at their most emotionally and sonically unpredictable. “Night Mother”, is the song that truly marks the start of the album’s creation and all the turbulence that came with it to become a cornerstone of the album’s tone: brooding, cinematic, and deeply human.

Throughout ‘As The Light Left’, Daedric strips away polish in favor of pain, letting raw emotion bleed through genre-bending production and ferocious vocals. It’s not an album of easy answers or tidy resolutions. It’s the sound of collapse and creation, of dancing on the edge of the fire, torn between fury and fragility. Born from breakdowns, creative tension, and fearless reinvention, As The Light Left is both a cathartic purge and a statement of artistic intent: Daedric refined, but still untamed.

Preorder ‘As The Light Left’ here: https://link.fixtmusic.com/AsTheLightLeft

Daedric is an alternative rock and metal project led by vocalist and artist, Kristyn Hope, alongside producers, Clay Schroeder and Geoff Rockwell.

Daedric draws inspiration from an eclectic array of sources including the open world role-playing game series, The Elder Scrolls, from which the Daedric name is derived. The musical soundscape can best be described as “all killer, no filler” (according to Metal Epidemic) with a dance of hypnotic synths, elaborate grooves, and intensely dynamic vocals.

Kristyn launched the Daedric project in 2021 through a partnership with electronic rock label FiXT. With the debut full-length album, Mortal, and a May 2025 tour supporting TesseracT under Daedric’s belt, the project has solidified its hold on the line between rock and metal, with promises to tighten its grip on listeners’ ears. The band continues forward with a new album slated for release in late 2025.

Daedric has collaborated with labelmates Celldweller, Fight The Fade, Andromida, Void Chapter, and Highsociety for a gamut of well received singles that have also pulled in more fans from across the world. After dropping a variety of singles, music videos, and collaborations Daedric has amassed nearly 500K followers across all platforms, scored interviews in Outburn’s issue #112, mentions on Louder Sound, Punk Rocker, Metal Hammer, Metal Injection Spotify’s official “Women Of Metal” playlist, and recognition from Cristina of Lacuna Coil in a Spotify Women of Metal roundtable discussion between Lacuna Coil, Spiritbox, and Halestorm. They’ve also gained notoriety as Daedric’s track “Abandon,” a collaborative effort with Andromida, found its way into the spotlight when Ubisoft chose it for inclusion in a promotional trailer for Rainbow Six Siege.
