Finnish metal band KAKSONEN has released the sophomore single from their upcoming second album (VALO-OLENTO to be released on October 17th 2025). IKUINEN (Eternal) represents the lighter side of the Valo-olento album. It’s a song about finding one’s place in the endless cycle that spans throughout space and time. Our lives are a glimpse somewhere between the Big Bang and entropy. Accepting your place in the cosmic scale helps find peace of mind, balance and stability. As such, it doesn’t matter whether you believe in metempsychosis, reincarnation or anything else; what matters is that you are aware of your own position and impact on the world around you. The epic song, which flows onward with a much groovier sentiment than the first single, grows to a truly heartfelt ending in its seven-minute length.
Valo-olento (Being of Light) is the second album by the metal band Kaksonen (Antti Lähdesmäki – guitar & vocals, Ville Koskivaara – bass & vocals, Tuomo Rinkinen – drums, Miika Vainio – vocals & guitar) hailing from Äänekoski, Central Finland. The eight-track album is musically and thematically a natural follow-up to the 2023 album Universumin kuningas (The Emperor of the Universe). As with the previous album, Inverse Records will also release Valo-olento.
Canada’s SCORCHING TOMB will unleash their long-awaited debut album “Ossuary” on October 24th, 2025 via Time To Kill Records.
After carving a name for themselves with a string of well-received EPs and a crushing split, the band is now poised to make their boldest statement yet. “Ossuary” captures their feral fusion of raw death metal and metallic hardcore at its most hostile, stripped of any modern gloss and delivered with total disdain for compromise.
With its filthy riffs, suffocating grooves and relentless aggression, the record is set to resonate with fans of Skinless, Fulci, Internal Bleeding, Xibalba and Terminal Nation, marking SCORCHING TOMB as one of the most uncompromising new forces in today’s extreme underground.
“Slow, catchy and insanely effective, ‘Skullcrush’ is the perfect dummy-death anthem. Featuring Devin Swank of SANGUISUGABOGG, this song won’t make you bang your head, it will get you punch your way through the fucking walls!”
Tracklist:
1. Stalagmite Impalement 2. Skullcrush (feat. Devin Swank of Sanguisugabogg) 3. Diminished to Ashes 4. Sanctum of Bones (Ossuary) 5. Sentenced to Rot 6. Feel the Blade feat. Primal Horde 7. Bloodlust Sacrifice 8. Expired Existence
SCORCHING TOMB emerged from the sewers of Montreal in 2018 with one clear mission: to fuse old-school death metal with modern hardcore in a city ruled by technical death metal. It didn’t take long for the band to make a name for themselves in the underground. Their blend of blistering old-school riffs, crushing mosh parts, and explosive live energy quickly caught the attention of the hardcore scene in particular.
Originally formed by tattoo artist Vincent P.L. (vocals) and guitarist Philippe Leblanc, SCORCHING TOMB has since solidified its most formidable lineup yet with the addition of Miguel Lepage (ex–Blind Witness, ex–Obey the Brave) on bass and Émile Savard (Profane Order, ex–Malebranche) on drums. With this new blood, the band has evolved from a local standout into a fully weaponized force.
Now, the time has come to follow in the footsteps of Cryptopsy, Quo Vadis, and Despised Icon, proving once again that Montreal remains a relentless, unyielding powerhouse in the world of death metal.
Line-up:
Vincent Patrick Lajeunesse – Vocals Philippe Leblanc :- Guitars, Backing vocals Miguel Lepage – Bass Émile Savard – Drums
Europe’s biggest horror punk band THE OTHER are back with their long-awaited new studio album “Alienated”, set for release on October 31st, 2025 via Massacre Records – just in time for Halloween.
Following their 2020 chart success “Haunted”, “Alienated” marks a triumphant return to the band’s darker, punk-driven roots.
Produced by Tim Schulte (Massendefekt, Rogers, Callejon, Stefanie Heinzmann), mixed by Arne Neurand (Guano Apes, Subway To Sally, ZSK) at Horus Studios, and mastered by Olman V. Wiebe (Kreator, Caliban, Sondaschule), the album delivers a raw yet powerful sound that captures both classic horror punk energy and modern intensity.
The first single, “I Give You the Creeps”, is a perfect introduction to the album’s direction: fast-paced punk verses, a massive sing-along chorus, and vampire-themed lyrics that will instantly resonate with fans. Directed by guitarist J. Ends, the accompanying music video perfectly channels the band’s gothic-horror aesthetics and live energy.
Frontman Rod Usher describes “Alienated” as a “back to the roots” album that merges the immediacy of their early work with fresh ideas born from the band’s revitalized lineup. The return of founding bassist Andy Only, alongside guitarists J. Ends and Van Tom and drummer Jag Boone, has injected new energy and creative firepower into the band.
Thematically, the album revolves around feelings of estrangement and darkness – from the existential weight of “Alienated” and “Die Human Die”, to campy horror tributes like “The Witch From Outer Space” and “Horror Movie Monster”.
With 13 tracks of haunting anthems, sinister sing-alongs, and horror-soaked storytelling, “Alienated” might just be THE OTHER’s darkest and most powerful album to date.

OMNI [ULTRA] features the original ten tracks of OMNI plus remixes from BIOHEX, Jonny McBee, Kaixo, Kodeseven, Darksiderz, MACHINYST, and Zardonic. This upgraded two disc edition of their latest full-length creation is more than an album. It’s a visceral descent into a futuristic fusion of deathcore, industrial, EDM, hardstyle, drum & bass, and rave metal laced with industrial textures, cybernetic rage, and raw emotional fire.
The originalOMNI was a visceral journey through the depths of deathcore, featuring ten powerful tracks, including collaborations with Nik Nocturnal and THE DEFECT. The album showcased some of The Browning‘s heaviest songs to date, like “HIVEMIND” and “Poison,” which together have amassed over 3.5 million streams across all digital platforms. “Deceiver,” the third release from the album brings a blistering critique of the deceitful narratives perpetuated by those in power. Accompanied by an adrenaline-fueled official music video, “Deceiver” blends the explosive energy of metalcore with the dark, mechanical undertones of industrial and the raw emotion of deathcore and its inspiration – the iconic delivery found in Rammstein’s “Du Hast.” The explosive single “OMNI” featuring THE DEFECT, which premiered at Revolver Mag, served as a harbinger of the album’s fierce energy. The album ends with the ominous double capstone of singles “Come To Grips With Death and the End” and “Soul Drift” which flip a complete 180 while still maintaining the fierce vocals with “Soul Drift” illustrating the very definition of rave metal.
The Browning is an electronic metal band founded by Jonny McBee as a solo project in 2005. In 2010 The Browning transitioned into a full band and has toured the world with bands such as Electric Callboy, Static X, Fear Factory, and We Came As Romans. They’ve put out two EPs Standing On The Edge EP (2010), Time Will Tell EP (2011), and five albums, Burn This World (2011) Hypernova (2013), Isolation (2016), Geist (2018), and End Of Existence (2021). The Browning’s current lineup is Jonny McBee and Hardcore Keem. The Browning has consistently pushed the boundaries of music, fusing genres and redefining heavy sounds. The band’s new line-up sets the stage for an electrifying chapter in their journey.
In 2011 on their full-length debut Burn This World, The Browning expanded the boundaries of heavy music through a seamless fusion of industrial, electronic, rock, and metal. In 2013 Hypernova represented a high watermark for the band. Named ‘Album of the Week’ by Revolver, it yielded the signature anthem “Bloodlust,” which clocked over 2.6 million views and nearly 2 million streams. In 2016, they reached another level with Isolation, earning acclaim from outlets such as New Noise Magazine and generating millions of views between “Dragon” and “Disconnect.” The fourth full-length album, Geist, released in 2018, would push The Browning even further into the boundaries of heavy music with added deathcore and techno influences. End Of Existence released in 2021 would go on to receive generally positive reviews with Dom Lawson of Blabbermouth.net saying, “As ever, if the idea of metal mixed with EDM gives you violent facial tics and a sense of impending doom, End of Existence makes no attempt to make amends or win you over. And nor should it. The Browning have spent a decade pursuing an eccentric and polarizing path, and they still sound like a flash of inspiration brought to life.”
The Browning officially signed to FiXT in late 2023, after collaborating with the label for several years, creating two official remixes for Celldweller and signing a merchandise deal. The band has since released three well received singles with the FiXT. “Poison” which scored placements on Pandora’s AMP: Fresh Cuts, Industrial Metal, New Metal, This year In Metal, New Metal Now; Spotify’s All New Metal,, as well as featured on the WWE. The single currently sits on over 1.5 million streams alone on Spotify since its release. “HIVEMIND” would go on to score placements on Spotify’s All New Metal, New Flesh (Knotfest), and The Core, as well as VEVO’s Incoming Metal. “Deceiver” hit Pandora’s New Metal Now, New Metal (Station), This Year In Metal; Deezer’s Killed By Metal, Deathcore, and Metal Radar, and; Spotify’s All New Metal. Their sixth full length album OMNI hit the airwaves in November 2024.
Jonny McBee, vocalist, and songwriter for The Browning, is a trailblazing presence in the metal scene. He is also known for his role as the host and operator of the “Burn This World Podcast,” which is set to make its triumphant return this Fall. He also streams in The Browning Discord channel with fans tuning in to watch his creative process. Jonny has also embarked on a parallel journey with his groundbreaking new side project: The Defect.
Hardcore Keem, the band’s guitarist, brings his unique vision and sound to The Browning. Originally just a fan of the band, he officially joined The Browning on tour in 2022, now becoming a staple for the band’s future and marketing. Besides being in the band, he’s also a heavy music influencer and promoter with over 300K in social reach, including 100K+ followers on Instagram alone, and runs his own podcast, The Hardcore Keem Show.
The powerful and poetic new single ‘Scuba Dive’ from Manchester-based singer-songwriter Dane Kelly, released today on 29th August via Magic Garden Recordings, produced by Gavin Monaghan and Liam Radburn.
Told through the eyes of a teenage girl breaking free from her parents’ tight grip, ‘Scuba Dive’ is a brooding and bold coming-of-age anthem that explores the messy thrill of rebellion. Inspired by Cyndi Lauper’s ‘Girls Just Want to Have Fun’, Kelly dives deeper — exposing the emotional undertow of growing up and stepping outside the lines. From sneaking out to late-night gigs to discovering love, lust, and independence, the protagonist isn’t spiraling — she’s evolving. “She’s not unraveling,” Kelly says. “She’s just finally living — and that scares her parents more than anything.”
With vivid, emotionally rich lyrics — “Thunder, alone she cried / Crawl under, a scuba dive” — and a soaring chorus, ‘Scuba Dive’ pairs gritty storytelling with glistening guitar lines, atmospheric production, and Kelly’s unmistakably soulful vocal delivery. The track will resonate with fans of Sam Fender, Phoebe Bridgers, and Kings of Leon alike. Backed by band mates Jack Batchelor, Matthew Fisher, and Elliot Taylor, Dane Kelly has already made a name for himself across Manchester and London, earning a reputation for emotionally charged performances that balance raw power with delicate nuance. ‘Scuba Dive’ is out 29th August via Magic Garden Recordings.
Dane Kelly is a Manchester-based singer-songwriter blending gritty alternative rock with vivid storytelling. Raised in a musical family, he first picked up guitar at 16 — an abandoned GCSE school project from his brother — and never looked back. Inspired by the likes of Kings of Leon, Queens of the Stone Age, and Paolo Nutini, Dane honed his sound through early gigs in Bedfordshire, including a sold-out hometown show at Bedford Esquires.
Rooted in narrative and observation, his songs explore life’s emotional undercurrents with empathy and edge. Whether writing from personal experience or channeling the lives of others, Dane’s music invites listeners to connect with the story behind the sound. Dane is currently working on new material at Magic Garden Studios with multi-platinum, Recording Academy producer Gavin Monaghan (Nizlopi, Editors, The Twang) and Liam Radburn.
‘Scuba Dive‘ is being released on 29th August via Magic Garden Recordings, in collaboration with Warner Music Group and Revolver Records.
