Icelandic Darkwave artist KUGGUR (Former SÓLSTAFIR Drummer) releases a new single “There’s No Reason to Be Afraid”, from the coming album “Interglacial”, coming out November 21st. The single features Svart Tulpan.

–Artist: Kuggur and Svart Tulpan (= The Black Tulip – SE)
–Single title: There’s no reason to be afraid
–Release date: Sept 26th, 2025
–Presave link: https://found.ee/I5BeoZ

Music by Guðmundur Óli Pálmason and Svart Tulpan. Published by Bark At Your Owner Publishing. Recorded and produced by Guðmundur Óli Pálmason.  A&R John Lewis Cloud. Mixed and mastered by Henry Barboza from Henryaudiouk.com. Vocals for Svart Tulpan recorded at Blind Boy Scout Studio in Stockholm, Sweden.  Engineer: Max Lorentz. Backing vocals on ”There’s no reason to be afraid”: Max Lorentz, Cecilia Backman.

For fans of: Mareux, Boy Harsher, Zola Jesus, Dead Can Dance, Ten Walls, GusGus, Ulver, Perila, Molchat Doma, Polynation.

There’s no reason to be afraid was originally one of those songs that had some potential, but wasn’t much more than background music before it had vocals.

My label boss, John Cloud, a man extraordinary, had already pitched another one of my songs to Anders Ericsson, a Swedish legend known from Lustans Lakejer and a former member of Ubangi now operating under the moniker Svart Tulpan. Anders had already agreed to sing on, and delivered amazing vocals for that one (if I didn’t know John to be such a sweet guy, I’d swear he must have some shit on Anders! This must have been some blackmailing involved!)
Anders did such an amazing job on the first one that I thought I must try my luck and see if he’ll do another (he ended up doing 3 songs for this album!).

There’s no reason to be afraid was originally named TYDIH, an abbreviation I won’t explain here, but clues can be found in the album’s title, Interglacial, as well as MWP1a and MWP1b, two other songs written for Interglacial.

Without going into details, it all has to do with the transitions between glacial and interglacial times. The transition from a glacial maximum to a glacial minimum, in other words, it’s about change.

We’re petrified of changes, all of us, and understandably so, because one change leads to another, which ultimately leads to our end. Anders likes to argue though, that there’s no reason to be afraid, and I don’t know about you but there’s something in his voice that makes me believe him.

Guðmundur Óli Pálmason / Kuggur

MYSTIC CIRCLE Unleash New Single ‘The Bible of Witch Chase’ from Forthcoming Studio Album

Germany’s iconic black metal force MYSTIC CIRCLE have unleashed their brand-new single, “The Bible of Witch Chase”, taken from their upcoming studio album “Hexenbrand 1486”, set for release on October 31st, 2025 via ROAR! Epic and pitch-black in atmosphere, the track captures the sinister essence of the band’s vision: dark, unrelenting, and steeped in occult fire.

“The Bible of Witch Chase is the first part of our Heinrich Kramer trilogy”, the band comments. “Driven by distorted visions, he wrote the Malleus Maleficarum and condemned hundreds of innocent souls to death. This song takes you back to medieval times, where the screams of the innocent echoed as they were slaughtered by the servants of the Holy Church. Once again, it is a statement against an institution corrupted by greed and false piety. Musically, it is a dissonant, metal-influenced piece inspired by witchcraft, the inquisition, and the dark spirit of the Middle Ages.”

Stream / Download “The Bible of Witch Chase”: https://mysticcircle.rpm.link/biblePR

“Hexenbrand 1486” will be available on CD and Vinyl (both featuring a comic) as well as in Digital formats. Pre-order your favorite choice of format at: https://mysticcircle.rpm.link/hexenbrandPR

In support, the band will be helding several signing sessions around the album release, find all upcoming dates and record store locations below!

“More serious, more respectful and more authentic” is the definition of the tenth MYSTIC CIRCLE epic “Hexenbrand 1486” – a statement that certainly applies to the formation’s attitude. “It’s a journey through time in the Mystic Circle universe”, A. Blackwar recently said. “The album is very varied and each song has its own dominance. We could release every track as a single and that says a lot about the strength of the longplayer.”

MYSTIC CIRCLE sound unmistakable, their trademarks are manifold and their hunger seems almost insatiable. What the duo has created in recent years is unparalleled and continues the legacy that the band created in the nineties with their classics “Drachenblut” (1998) and “Infernal Satanic Verses” (1999). MYSTIC CIRCLE themselves describe their style as melodic extreme metal, their very own mix of old-school death and black metal, traditional heavy metal of the eighties and horror soundtracks.

Since the unholy reunion between the two MYSTIC CIRCLE founders A. Blackwar and Beelzebub in 2021, the Germanic black metal wargods are stronger than ever. What began anew in 2022 with the self-titled “Mystic Circle” album and was rewarded with a sensational #78 place in the German album charts, was continued the following year with “Erzdämon” and now completed with “Hexenbrand 1486”.
“Hexenbrand 1486”, produced with Nils Lesser, is largely about the ‘Malleus Maleficarum’, the hammer of witches, which was written in Speyer/Germany in the year 1486. “We are lucky to live near well-known events and dark legends. Our Nibelungen cult “Drachenblut” comes from our region, as does the concept in the second part of the new record about Heinrich “Institoris” Kramer, the author of the Hexenhammer,” A. Blackwar explains.

“Heinrich Kramer embodies everything we hate about the holy institution of the church. He was a vile sadist who acted out his resentment towards women under the cloak of Christian scripture. The Hexenhammer is the work of a madman and should encourage everyone even more to leave the church and follow their own path of faith,” says Beelzebub.

The horror flair of the 80s already played a major role in the duo’s style on “Mystic Circle” and “Erzdämon”. On “Hexenbrand 1486” they consistently go one step further and add dark synth wave passages in appropriate places, with a comparable flair to legendary horror shockers and soundtracks by Dario Argento, who used synthesizers in his very own way.

In keeping with the theme of witches, three women are represented on “Hexenbrand 1486”: The two singers Sarah Jezebel Deva (ex-CRADLE OF FILTH, THE KOVENANT) and Karo Hafke (UMBRA ET IMAGO, GIANTS CAUSAWAY) as well as Natalie Ostermaier, the author and illustrator of the book “Kramer”, from which the accompanying comic is taken, that is integrated in the CD booklet and comes with the vinyl first edition as a 12-page A5 comic. “Sarah has once again taken on the classic part. This time it’s different with Karo. She carries the album with her voice and embodies the countless women who were burned and tortured because of sick fantasies back then. She gives the new album a special stamp. Natalie Ostermaier and her book “Kramer” came into play through the concept. She liked the idea of using an excerpt from her book for our album, and so what had to come together came together.”

Album Track Listing:

  1. Luciferian
  2. The Scarlet Queen Of Harlots
  3. Boogeyman
  4. In The Sign Of The Goat
  5. Ghost Of Whitechapel
  6. Institoris (Heinrich Kramer)
  7. The Bible Of Witch Chase
  8. Blutschande Unzucht Sodomie
  9. Dance On The Wings Of Black Magic
  10. Zeugnis Der Verachtung (Outro)

In support of “Hexenbrand 1486”, MYSTIC CIRCLE will not only held the following, upcoming signing sessions, but also increasingly focus on a busy touring schedule, which is set to kick off in South America and Mexico in the Spring of 2026. The band recently signed a booking deal with Flaming Arts (POSSESSED, BELPHEGOR, GOD DETHRONED and others). They are looking for support from guest musicians to complete the band live. “We’re going to do a lot, because we like the old stage shows of great masters like W.A.S.P, DIO or ALICE COOPER.”

MYSTIC CIRCLE is:
Beelzebub – Vocals, Gitarre, Bass, Keyboards
A. Blackwar – Drums, Gitarre, Vocals, Keyboards

Glasya has released “Glimpse Of Memory” (featuring Visions Of Atlantis’ Michele Guaitoli), second single taken from the new album “Fear” to be released on October 24 by Scarlet Records.

This emotional song marks the moment when Sarah – the main charachter of the “Fear” story/concept – begins to have flashes of memory and remember herself and her past, and that there is someone else close to her… A magnificent duet with the very special guest Michele Guaitoli on vocals.

Lead by the magnificent voice and imposing presence of Eduarda Soeiro (officially part of the current Moonspell live band), Glasya keeps marrying cinematic heavy metal and a bright storytelling vein.

Three years after the excellent “Attarghan” concept album, “Fear” displays a more modern symphonic metal sound with strong grooves, catchy chorus and several honorable special guests (Moonspell’s Fernando Ribeiro, Visions Of Atlantis’ Michele Guaitoli, Dark Oath’s Sarah Leitão).

“Fear” tells the quest of a woman who finds herself confronted with her own fears and gains the courage to overcome them. The listener will be walking in the shoes of the protagonist and feel her trepidation, her convictions, her achievements and the confidence that she develops in herself to help a close one.

During the course of the compelling story, she will fully reveal her weaknesses and how they can finally become her strengths – a real triumph over adversity.

Glasya are:

Eduarda Soeiro – vocals
Davon Van Dave – keyboards
Hugo Esteves – guitar
Bruno Prates – guitar
Ivan Santos – bass

Flmed at Atlas Audio & Visual Studios and produced by Domenik Papaemmanouil – Lensorama, the video for “No Gods, No Chains” is now premiering here:

With their upcoming new album “Glasgow Grin”, Full House Brew Crew are back with a vengeance. Led by frontman and guitarist Vagelis Karzis — current member of Wolfheart and former guitarist of Rotting Christ — the band is ready to unleash their signature brand of American-inspired Heavy Groove Metal on familiar and new audiences.

“Glasgow Grin” reflects the band’s current violent state of mind: pure aggression and power throughout. “We let ourselves loose and did what felt natural to us, not trying to push the songwriting in any direction other than what fits best for the song,” says Karzis. For the first time, the band worked with Finnish sound engineer Saku Moilanen at Deep Noise Studios, who mixed and mastered “Glasgow Grin”.

Lyrically, Vagelis digs deep into internal struggles, day-to-day battles, and personal injustices — always channeling tension and anger. “Like always, the band is moving towards a direction that feels best for us. That is the main reason we always evolve, we make changes, we take risks and that excites us. We created many albums and each represents a different musical state. Glasgow Grin is our proudest piece of work so far. We worked more like a team and didn’t hold back for any mainstream reasons.”

Having earned the rare endorsement of K.K. Downing as the next big thing in metal, and touring the UK supporting KK’s Priest, British newcomers TAILGUNNER have just signed with Napalm Records. Further endorsing his praise for the band, the Judas Priest guitar legend has now taken on a new role of producer for their dynamic sophomore album. TAILGUNNER have quickly made a name for themselves amongst heavy metal fans—this young band from the home country of metal is one to watch!

TAILGUNNER about the signing:
“There are iconic partnerships—like denim and leather, Jack & Coke, and swords and tequila. Now we hope to add TAILGUNNER & NAPALM RECORDS to that list. We’re proud of being pure Heavy Metal, with zero apologies or compromise—that’s why joining the world’s biggest independent metal label feels right at home. The blitzkrieg of our first three years as a band continues full throttle—with our upcoming sophomore album, and together with the incredible team at Napalm behind us and the great and legendary K.K. Downing producing the record, we’re taking on the world n’ planting the flag for British Metal right at the top of it. Heavy Metal for Eternity!”

K.K. Downing about TAILGUNNER:
“TAILGUNNER is a band we should have seen emerge years ago from the UK. They personify everything that is heavy metal. They are loud and proud, and totally descended from everyone in metal that has gone before—their energy and rawness, together with their brand of metal, incorporates all of the godfathers and much more. Maiden, Priest, Motörhead, Def Leppard—the list is endless. The band has a youthful freshness and a uniqueness that will no doubt elevate them to being a true Metal favourite of the fans.”

Napalm Records Senior A&R Sebastian Münch adds:
“Over the past few months, I’ve been fortunate enough to witness the development of the new album, and it’s simply incredible. K.K. Downing has already said everything perfectly here. TAILGUNNER are not a copy or nostalgically drawing on Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, or Def Leppard, but are creating their own fresh, authentic heavy metal universe.”
