BREAKING IN A SEQUENCE Release New Single + Lyric Video ‘Don’t Run’, New Album “Inanimate” Arriving Later This Year

Melodic alternative metal band Breaking In A Sequence released their new single “Don’t Run” via TLG|ZOID, distributed by Virgin Music Group. The track serves as the second single from the band’s completed full-length album INANIMATE, due out later this year.

“‘Don’t Run’ was the first song written with new drummer BC Vaught. We didn’t write anything for the first year and a half after to give us time to meld together. The song carries the NuMetal torch from the early 2000’s with a perfect blend of melody, groove and aggression. It has a rawness that is absent in today’s music,” shares the band.

The single was produced by Chris Collier alongside the band and mixed and mastered by Collier as well. The release marks the beginning of a new chapter for BIAS as they build momentum toward the full album launch.

Upcoming Show:
Sep. 12 @ House of Blues, Parrish Room in Anaheim, CA

DROWNING POOL & SALIVA Announce Tour Celebrating 25 Years of “Sinner” & “Every Six Seconds”

Twenty-five years after releasing two of the most recognizable albums in modern hard rock, Drowning Pool and Saliva are joining forces for a special co-headlining U.S. tour celebrating the legacies of Sinner and Every Six Seconds.

Launching October 8 and running through October 25, the tour brings together two bands whose breakout records became the soundtrack of the early 2000s. Rather than looking back, both acts are bringing the energy that made them festival favorites while continuing to evolve with new music, new lineups, and decades of road-tested performances.

Released in 2001, Drowning Pool’s debut album Sinner became one of the defining heavy records of its era, propelled by timeless anthems including “Bodies,” “Tear Away,” and “Sinner.” The album helped launch the band onto the global stage and remains a cornerstone of modern hard rock.

That same year, Saliva exploded onto radio with Every Six Seconds, delivering unforgettable hits including “Click Click Boom,” “Your Disease,” and “Always.” The album established the band as one of the era’s biggest rock acts and continues to resonate with fans more than two decades later.

“We are beyond grateful and thankful to still be here rockin out with everyone after 25 Years of Letting the Bodies Hit the Floor!  Looking forward to sharing the stage on tour again with our friends in Saliva performing the 25th Anniversary of two amazing albums! A very sincere thank you to all of the amazing friends and family who have supported us throughout this Rock & Roll Roller coaster ride that we’ve all had together! Come share this once in a lifetime experience of celebrating 25 years of Sinner with us!” says CJ Pierce.

Bobby Amaru shares, “I joined Saliva in 2011, when it had already been out for a decade, but that’s exactly what makes this anniversary so special. Great music has a life far beyond the people who create it. It belongs to the fans who have kept these songs alive for 25 years. Getting to celebrate this anniversary alongside Drowning Pool and two of the defining rock records from 2001 is something I don’t take for granted. I know Wayne Swinny and Dave Williams would be proud to see these songs still bringing people together all these years later.”

He adds, “I know some people will always have opinions about who should be on stage. I respect that. But this tour isn’t about reliving the past or cashing in on nostalgia. It’s about honoring the music and giving the fans a chance to celebrate 2 great records. Twenty-five years later, that’s what this is about, not the members, but the music. And as long as people keep showing up and singing every word, we’ll keep doing everything we can to honor that legacy.”

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Sinner, Drowning Pool will also bring an extremely limited run of 25th Anniversary Sinner vinyl to the tour. These are the final remaining copies available drawn from the band’s own personal reserve after the anniversary pressing sold out online. The vinyl will be available exclusively at the merchandise booth while supplies last, giving fans one last opportunity to own a piece of Sinner history.

While the tour celebrates the past, Saliva is charging into the future. The band will release its highly anticipated new studio album, Breaking Through, on August 14 via Judge & Jury Records, giving fans a chance to hear brand-new material alongside the songs that helped define an entire generation of rock.

Fans can expect career-spanning sets from both bands featuring the albums that launched them into rock history, fan favorites, and newer material, making each night both a celebration and a reminder that neither band has slowed down.

In addition to the anniversary tour dates, both Drowning Pool and Saliva will perform select headlining and festival appearances throughout the fall.

Joint VIP experiences featuring both Drowning Pool and Saliva will also be available for fans looking to celebrate this milestone tour in an even bigger way. VIP packages including exclusive experiences and limited offerings will go on sale soon.

FiRSUN Sign to SBG Records & Release New Album “Fortitude”

From the pine-lined edges of East Texas to the salt-stained air of Palm Coast, Florida, FiRSUN is the sound of starting over.

FiRSUN has officially signed with SBG Records and celebrates the partnership with the release of its album, Fortitude, featuring “Oh Preacher” and its accompanying official music video.

Led by vocalist, songwriter, and producer Matt Jackson, FiRSUN represents a new chapter built from hard-earned experience. Jackson has shared stages with Nothing More, Set It Off, From Ashes to New, Filter, Dead Poet Society, Oxymorrons, Silly Goose, and many more. Joining him is guitarist Aaron Grove.

“This new chapter isn’t a return—it’s a resurrection,” says FiRSUN.

Influenced by the shadows and shimmer of Deftones, the depth of Failure, the soul of DC Talk, and the angst of early 2000s alt hard rock, this project is unfiltered truth. No more shrinking to fit. No more swallowing songs that should have been sung.

At the heart of the album is “Oh Preacher,” a song that confronts manipulation, hypocrisy, and the search for validation through the perspective of a narcissist who insists they have done nothing wrong while their actions tell a very different story. Framed through the language and imagery of religion, the song explores the emotional impact of experiencing that kind of behavior firsthand.

“The lyrical aspect of this song is a first-person point of view from a narcissist’s standpoint seeking validation for their actions. They say they’re not doing anything wrong, but their actions speak otherwise, while being dressed up in a way that is commonly seen through religion. Dealing with it firsthand and seeing how it has affected me, this song was the best way I could let out how I feel. I hope it connects with anybody that has dealt or is dealing with a similar situation,” says Matt Jackson.

Fortitude is out now via SBG Records HERE

  1. The Woods Go Quiet
  2. Speak
  3. If We Want It

DROWN IN SULPHUR Release New Single + Video ‘Groan From The IXth Circle’

Deathcore force Drown In Sulphur from Italy have released their second single and music video “Groan From The IXth Circle” via Noble Demon! The song is taken off their upcoming EP Strix, due out on September 11th.

Pre-save right here: https://music.nobledemon.com/strix

DROWN IN SULPHUR are the latest addition to the German Metal Record Label and proudly present new music with a fresh band line-up. After they dropped a bomb with the first output “New Moon Rising On Florence” in June, the brand new single cements even clearer where the band is heading towards with their revamped sound. Be prepared since the upcoming digital EP Strix is blending the nostalgic fury of MySpace-era deathcore with grim black metal influences, marking a deliberate shift toward a less symphonic, more hardcore sound.

Watch the video for “Groan From The IXth Circle” and enjoy the single here: https://music.nobledemon.com/groan

The band is giving us some context to the song by telling: “Reinterpreting Lucifer’s fall within Dante’s Inferno, this track explores the freezing depths of the Ninth Circle (Cocytus) through an aggressive, pure Deathcore assault blended with glacial Black Metal riffing that sonically channels the landscape’s eternal frost. Amidst this dark and solemn sonic violence, the lyrics deliver a provocative moral dilemma, questioning the true nature of betrayal between the entity who gifted mankind the fruit of knowledge and a sovereign ruler intent on keeping them enslaved.”

Tracklist:
Neither Night Nor Day
Groan From The IXth Circle
New Moon Rising On Florence
Oscolum Infame
The Heptad Omen

With Strix, Drown In Sulphur delivers a desperate and focused body of work born out of a renewed hunger for reinvention. The upcoming EP leaves behind traditional symphonic tropes to deliver a sound driven by raw energy and complex, occult storytelling—blurring the lines between theological dread and sonic violence.

Formed in Milan, Italy in 2014, Drown In Sulphur quickly shook the underground metal scene, securing millions of streams and views with their explosive early singles “An Epilogue to the Arrogant” and “Blackwind.” Through a relentless creative fire and an evolving lineup, the project dropped a string of powerful full-lengths, including Sulphur Cvlt (2021), Dark Secrets Of The Soul (2024), and the rebellious Vengeance (2025).

Now, reinforced by their current definitive lineup, the band enters their most authentic era yet.

Drown In Sulphur is:
Manuel Riboldi – Vocals
Erik Bellan – Rhythm Guitar
Ciprian Grigore – Lead & Rhythm Guitar
Domenico Francesco Tamilia – Drums & Backing Vocals

Strix will be available on Sept. 11 on all major streaming platforms. You can pre-save and pre-order the EP at this location: https://music.nobledemon.com/strix

India’s SHIVERWOOD SHADE Explore Depths of Anger & Isolation in ‘Divided By Hate’

Indian alternative/groove metal outfit Shiverwood Shade have released the visualizer for “Divided By Hate”, one of the most explosive and emotionally charged tracks from their debut album “Escaping Darkness.”

“Divided By Hate” stands as the album’s most aggressive moment, an eruption of nu‑metal riffs, industrial tension, and raw emotional catharsis. The track dives deep into the destructive nature of internal and external anger, mirroring the album’s overarching journey from turmoil to resilience.

Originally formed in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India, Shiverwood Shade first made waves by winning major Indian college festivals including Spring Fest at IIT Kharagpur, IIIT Gwalior, and ITM. After years of evolution, the band underwent a dramatic rebirth, relocating 1,500 kilometres east to Kolkata in 2022 and rebuilding their lineup from the ground up.

This transformation mirrors the emotional narrative of “Escaping Darkness”, leaving behind old worlds, confronting inner turmoil, and forging a new identity with cinematic intensity.

Shiverwood Shade’s sonic identity blends nu‑metal, post‑hardcore, industrial electronics, and dark cinematic atmospheres into a hybrid they describe as Cinematic Metal. Their sound is, in their own words, a heavy electronic collision designed to feel like a movie soundtrack for your darkest thoughts.

Each track on “Escaping Darkness” is built with sweeping orchestral pads, tense synthwave textures, EDM‑style drops, and down‑tuned guitars, creating a soundscape that is both crushing and emotionally immersive. The album is a ten‑track emotional journey through inner conflict, healing, resilience, and personal growth. It blends crushing riffs, cinematic layers, haunting electronics, and soaring melodies, balancing heaviness with vulnerability.

The band explains:

“We wanted to create an album that listeners could experience from beginning to end, a journey through darkness, doubt, resilience, and ultimately hope.”

Recommended for fans of Linkin Park, Bring Me the Horizon, Story of the Year, Breaking Benjamin, and Architects, Shiverwood Shade’s “Escaping Darkness” (released Dec 26, 2025) is available at the following links:

JAMES KENNEDY & THE UNDERDOGS Release New Single + Video ‘Revolution’, Feat. Benji Webbe

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 2, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: JAMES KENNEDY & THE UNDERDOGS. Leave a comment

South Wales alt-rock band James Kennedy and The Underdogs have released the thunderous new track “Revolution”, featuring guest vocals from Skindred’s Benji Webbe. This is the second single from their forthcoming album ‘Rebel‘, due out later in 2026.

“Revolution” is the first new release to feature Benji since Skindred’s recent Number One triumph in the UK Official Album Charts for their latest album, ‘You Got This’. Taking a different tone to The Underdogs’ bouncy, punky first single, ‘Us and Them’ (released in April), “Revolution” is darker, heavier, and brings the growl back out of Benji. The song is a play on words, alternating between Kennedy’s disdain with the revolving nature of our social struggles going round and round in revolution and Benji’s brutal call to arms for a literal Revolution.

It’s not the first time the two singers have shared a microphone. Kennedy has previously joined Skindred onstage at the Beautiful Days festival, covering the Jacoby Shaddix vocal part of their classic song, ‘Warning’. However, this fresh collaboration cooks up a whole new melting pot of styles, mixing alt-rock and Nu Metal with Benji’s trademark Ragga Rock stylings. The Underdogs recently began airing the song at their live shows, with Rock News UK describing it as “an absolute beast“.

Singer James Kennedy described working with Benji: “To sit and watch Benji do his thing in the studio was an absolute privilege. The man’s talent is mountainous. Everything you hear on the song was one-take, no rehearsal, no preparation. He just pressed record and went for it. Then he made us tea. To witness such an avalanche of talent at work was a real honour.”
Benji Webbe, Skindred: “James Kennedy and The Underdogs are the dogs bollox and I was totally down to get involved and spit some venom on this uncompromising groove, powerful piece of music and a call to unite. No, we will not lose to them! You’re goddamn right!

James Kennedy and The Underdogs are an alternative rock / punk band from Newport, South Wales, formed in 2023 by singer, author, podcaster and former ‘Kyshera’ frontman, James Kennedy. The band includes Jack Davies on guitar, Elliot Blake on bass, and Aggy Nowicka on drums, all former and current members of the bands Kane’d, Catalysts, and Ravenbreed.

In their mere three years as a band they have already earned a reputation for their anarchic and high-energy live shows, described by the Moshville Times as “pure rock ‘n’ roll energy” and as “Wales’ most vital live act” by Uber Rock. Their first album ‘Make Anger Great Again’ was released via Konic Records, and new album ‘Rebel‘ is due for release on the same label later in 2026.
