Polish atmospheric black/epic doom metal solo project Divine Sovereign has announced a new album, Autaxia Chronicles: A House Divided, due out via Wormholedeath. The first single, “Heresy,” is available now as an audiostream video.
A House Divided is the second installment in the Autaxia Chronicles series, picking up where 2025’s Dawn of a New Age left off. Where the first album treated religious fanaticism as a unifying force, people bound together against oppression, this one examines its opposite: how the same beliefs can fracture societies from within. The album draws on the historical reality that nearly every major religion, from early Christianity and Islam to Buddhism and Judaism, carries its own legacy of schism and doctrinal conflict. In the Autaxia universe, things are no different. With the independence war concluded and the planet’s inhabitants now in control of their world, their psionic abilities begin to fail. The king and his priests resort to increasingly brutal rituals in pursuit of what they believe is the species’ ultimate destiny: immortality.
The concept behind A House Divided explores the other side of the same coin examined on the first record, religion as a force of division rather than unity, and how that dynamic plays out across different faiths and different eras, both in real history and in Autaxia’s. Musically, the project draws on the atmospheric and epic traditions of Ethereal Shroud, Panopticon, Gallowbraid, and Atlantean Kodex, building long-form songs designed to carry the weight of the story they tell.

Elevate Records announces the release of “Facing The Mirror”, the first single by SILVER HORSES taken from their upcoming album “Weird Tales”, out 13 June 2026.
A fast, hard-hitting hard rock track perfectly balanced between the echoes of classic ’70s rock and a thoroughly contemporary edge. “Facing The Mirror” is the ideal calling card for an album set to be one of the most significant chapters in the band’s career.
The single artwork — a young woman gazing into a mirror, seeing herself reflected as an older woman, surrounded by candelabras and gothic atmosphere — captures the essence of the song: an intimate, unfiltered confrontation with time, choices, and who we have become.
Silver Horses are Jacopo “Jack” Meille on vocals (Tygers of Pan Tang, Sainted Sinners, Mantra), Gianluca Galli on guitars (Mantra, Secret Alliance), Andrea Castelli on bass (Mantra, Shabby Trick), and Matteo “Bona” Bonini on drums: four musicians with decades of experience, united by a shared vision and a passion for authentic rock.
“Facing The Mirror” is available now on all digital platforms. The album “Weird Tales” follows on 13 June, released via Elevate Records.
Swedish heavy metal veterans LION’S SHARE are celebrating the success of their comeback album “Inferno” with the release of a brand-new video for “We Are What We Are”.
Having now surpassed the 1 million mark on Spotify, the track has become one of the standout songs on “Inferno” and proves that classic heavy metal still holds a strong place in today’s scene.
Vocalist Nils Patrik Johansson explains the message behind “We Are What We Are”:
“The lyrics are basically about ignoring all the politics and bullshit around us and just doing our own thing. We simply live and breathe heavy metal. It’s a tribute to ourselves, our lifestyle, and all the hardcore heavy metal fans out there.”
The video was shot in an abandoned industrial wasteland and directed once again by Tom Wouda, who was also responsible for the band’s successful “Pentagram” video.
Guitarist Lars Chriss comments:
“Funny enough, part of the ruin we filmed in actually collapsed not long afterwards. We still don’t know if it was the riffs or all the flames we unleashed during the shoot.”
“Inferno”, released in March this year via Metalville, was LION’S SHARE’s first studio album in 17 years and has been widely hailed as one of the strongest in the band’s career – it combines the darkness, melody and power of classic heavy metal with a modern, edgy production.

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER continues to tour in support of their critically adored tenth studio album, Servitude, released in 2024 via Metal Blade Records. “At a brisk thirty-three minutes, there’s no real fat, just a collection of raging riffs and solid gold grooves that never overstays its welcome…,” lauded Blabbermouth. “Whether wallowing in grim, doomy waters on ‘Mammoth’s Hand,’ or blasting away like some crazed, nihilistic army of intergalactic ghouls on ‘Transcosmic Blueprint’ and climactic hook avalanche ‘Utopia Black,’ this is an album that nobly delivers the goods, while screaming defiance at the stars. Everybody involved should be immensely proud.” Metal Injection accurately hailed a record of, “fucking killer death metal,” Distorted Sound crowned THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, “one of melodeath’s greatest, most consistent bands,” while Kerrang wrote, “…the release of Servitude faces down existential concerns with determination and defiance.” Added Last Rites, “Servitude doesn’t feel like a debut because it’s unpolished or full of missteps; it feels like a debut because it’s brimming with a fresh energy and feels like it’s only hinting at what could be in store.“
Forged in 1996 by Swedish guitar hero Michael Amott, ARCH ENEMY has spent three decades carving out a singular legacy at the intersection of extremity and melody. ARCH ENEMY quickly evolved into one of the defining forces of modern extreme metal with their razor-edged riffing, twin-guitar leads and anthemic songwriting that has carried the band from underground acclaim to global festival dominance. Across a formidable catalogue of eleven studio albums – from the cult-classic Black Earth (1996) to genre milestones like Wages of Sin (2001) and the arena-conquering works of the 2000s – ARCH ENEMY has continuously reshaped their sound without compromising its core intensity. A defining aspect of their evolution has been the succession of charismatic frontwomen: Angela Gossow’s revolutionary arrival in 2001 helped break gender barriers in extreme metal, while her successor Alissa White-Gluz fronted the band through a highly successful era, delivering critically acclaimed releases such as War Eternal (2014), Will To Power (2017), Deceivers (2022), and 2025’s Blood Dynasty. Relentless touring and an unwavering commitment to technical precision have cemented ARCH ENEMY as one of metal’s most enduring live acts, a band whose identity has remained anchored by Amott’s vision even as lineups shifted around him. Now, in 2026, ARCH ENEMY enters a bold new chapter: The band has unveiled former Once Human vocalist Lauren Hart as their new frontwoman, ushering in a revitalized era. Their latest single, “To The Last Breath,” serves as both a statement of intent and rebirth while retaining the band’s trademark ferocity by introducing a fresh vocal dynamic. With a renewed lineup, big European Summer festival appearances and a lengthy North American tour announced for the fall, ARCH ENEMY stand poised once again to redefine their own legacy – louder, sharper, and more unyielding than ever.

With Good Ones, originally by Charli XCX, the band turn their attention to modern pop — transforming a sleek, hook-driven track into a raw, driving indie rock cut with a sharp punk edge. Retaining the irresistible melody and core tension of the original, their version amplifies the grit, distortion and urgency, pushing the song into new territory.
“Charli first came onto my radar in 2011 with her debut EP Stay Away, possibly via our mutual collaborator, producer Patrik Berger,”Fred from the band explains. “However it happened, I’ve been hooked ever since. And when ‘Good Ones’ dropped a few years ago, it went straight into my STAH folder of potential covers.
Lo-fi, distorted drum and bass gelling with a sticky synth line and an irresistible melody. Maybe it hits harder than she originally intended — but we don’t care, we love it.”
The result is immediate, punchy and high-voltage — a fearless reinterpretation that highlights Satan Takes A Holiday’s instinct-driven approach and their ability to bridge genres without losing their identity.
