STARBYNARY Sign with Elevate Records + Announce New Shakespeare-Inspired Concept Album “Romeo and Juliet, Pt. I”

Five years after the release of Paradiso (2020)—the final chapter of their trilogy dedicated to The Divine Comedy—STARBYNARY returns with an ambitious new project.

On September 27, 2025, via Elevate Records, they will unveil Romeo and Juliet, Pt. I, the first volume of a concept album inspired by William Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy.

Led by founding members Joe Caggianelli (vocals) and Luigi Accardo (keyboards), Starbynary continues their exploration at the crossroads of literature and music, shifting focus from Dante’s epic to Shakespearean drama.

The new work navigates progressive terrain with intricate structures, complex harmonies, and a refined dialogue between modernity and tradition—drawing influences from Baroque lyricism to 17th-century Italian music.

Alongside returning members Alfonso Mocerino (drums) and Sebastiano Zanotto (bass), the band welcomes guitarist Alessandro Cossu (formerly of Ashent), whose contribution promises to enrich their sound. Adding further brilliance to the album is guest soprano Anna Piroli, a Baroque specialist, who lends her voice to the role of Juliet.

Romeo and Juliet, Pt. I will be available in physical and digital formats.

SIENA ROOT Release Raw Gem with New Live Single ‘Outlander’

Stockholm’s pioneering “dynamic root rock” outfit SIENA ROOT proudly present their second single and video, ‘Outlander (live),’ from their monumental double live album “Made in KuBa,” releasing October 3, 2025 on Perception – A Division of Reigning Phoenix Music.

The audio was recorded during the band’s legendary March 2024 performances at Germany’s Kulturbahnhofin Jena – with every note captured straight to tape, no overdubs, and no safety net. Completed by footage capturing SIENA ROOT where they feel home the most – on stage – ‘Outlander’ bursts with analogue intensity. The result is unfiltered, immediate, and vivid: a sonic journey from shadow into light and full of organic tension.

As the band explains: “‘Outlander’ was the first song we worked on for our “A Dream Of Lasting Peace” album. It was one of those songs that came to us in a very natural way. The lyrics paved the way for the common thread that the rest of the album’s tracks would come to follow. A big part of that was how everyone in the band contributed to the songwriting – something that really defined the creative process this time around. This live recording features the extra energy and tension that the song deserves.”

Stream ‘Outlander (live)’: https://sienaroot.rpm.link/outlanderPR

The release follows the first single ‘Wishing For More (live),’ and offers another glimpse into the sound and spirit of the upcoming live album “Made in KuBa.”

Pre‑orders are live for double digipak CD and half-speed mastered black double vinyl editions for maximum analogue depth: https://sienaroot.rpm.link/madeinkubaPR

OTHERWISE to Release New EP “Some Kind of Alchemy” + Drop Single & Video ‘Stop, Drop & Roll (Doesn’t Work In Hell)’

The Las Vegas-based gold-certified, hard-rock titans, OTHERWISE, triumphantly return with a brand new EP and label home.

Some Kind of Alchemy EP will be released 22nd August via Seek and Strike.

To celebrate the news, the duo have revealed their new single and video, ‘Stop, Drop & Roll (Doesn’t Work In Hell)’. A hard-driving banger with a massive catchy chorus, ‘Stop, Drop & Roll (Doesn’t Work In Hell)’ will quickly garner your undivided attention.

OTHERWISE have returned to their roots and re-embraced their classic harder rock sound, reminiscent of their widely acclaimed debut album.

Pre-order the EP: https://orcd.co/otherwiseskoa

OTHERWISE state: “Signing with Seek and Strike was honestly a very easy decision for us. The label was co-founded by a dear friend who has believed in the band and our message since our inception. He cares about us and vice versa, which is saying a lot for the music business.

“The first single, ‘Stop, Drop and Roll (Doesn’t Work in Hell),’ was initially conceptualized years ago, in the midst of the Iraq War. We thought about the sacrifice of our fellow poet-warriors in military service and the lies that were being propagated to justify the actions of those in power. Another truly beautiful aspect of this release was our chance to reconnect with the incomparable Dave McMahan (our original drummer), who helped us focus all of that early fire into formidable performance art. The raw, sleek simplicity of those days was perfectly captured in the video for the song by its talented director, Lance Gergar. The intro gave us goosebumps the first time watching it. Plus, for me (Adrian) personally, getting to rock my balls off barefoot in a corporate elevator and NOT get arrested, is a hell of a statement!

“Returning to our roots with this EP is truly exciting for us and getting to do it with our friends and family at Seek and Strike is nothing short of righteous. We can’t thank our die-hard fans for all of their continued support and hopefully we’re hopeful to add a whole new legion of supporters to the fold with this next release. See you all soon.”

Tracklisting:

1 Bloody Knuckles, Broken Glass
2 Has Anyone Seen My God Damn Dignity?
3 Stop, Drop & Roll (Doesn’t Work In Hell)
4 I Am Spartacus
5 Shapes Of Metal
6 Emerson Road

OTHERWISE have been an unrelenting force in the unforgiving trenches of the music industry, for the past two decades. Consisting of blood brothers Adrian and Ryan Patrick, the powerhouse duo behind the Las Vegas hard rock outfit, they’ve turned scars into anthems and stages into battlefields, earning RIAA Gold Certification for their breakout hit ‘Soldiers’ a modern rock classic born from the grit of the independent grind. Raised in a city of illusions, the Patrick brothers built something real: a fiercely loyal fanbase they call The Family Wise, bonded not by hype but by heart.

Over 250 million streams later, their legacy isn’t just loud, it’s ever-lasting. Through their nonprofit Life By Music, the brothers use their platform to give back, delivering instruments, lessons, and life-changing experiences to at-risk youth and veterans nationwide. Every note they play carries purpose. Every show is a family affair and every song is a battle cry from two brothers who refuse to ever back down.

MONOLIYTH Unleash New Single And Lyric Video ‘He Who Kills’

Australian death metal titans Monoliyth return with “He Who Kills”, a savage slab of heavy and raw brutality. This is death metal stripped to the bone — no gimmicks, no polish, just pure violent intent.

This is a rage anthem for the utterly broken — no redemption, no remorse, just violent catharsis. Whether seen as a story of vengeance, a dive into madness, or a metaphor for inner demons, “He Who Kills” delivers unapologetic extremity, both lyrically and thematically.

Stream “He Who Kills” now: https://orcd.co/hwksingle

The single is a track taken from Monoliyth’s upcoming full-length album, also titled “He Who Kills”, set for release on August 22, 2025.

PERTURBATOR Releases New Single ‘The Swimming Pool’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on July 30, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: Perturbator. Leave a comment

PERTURBATOR – the Paris-based composer/producer/multi-instrumentalist James Kent – today released ‘The Swimming Pool,’ the third single previewing his new album Age of Aquarius due out on October 10th via Nuclear Blast Records. ‘The Swimming Pool‘ is a serene instrumental piano ballad that evokes video game music, fittingly as PERTURBATOR first broke through via the soundtracks to the beloved Hotline Miami shooter games in 2012 and 2015. The track’s gorgeous, moonlit ambiance is vaguely surreal, hinting at a dream that inspired the composition. “‘The Swimming Pool‘ is a little moment of respite in an otherwise mostly aggressive album,” Kent explains. “It’s simple, minimalist, and intimate. Inspired by a dream I had years ago in which I found myself stuck in a huge hotel, searching ever so unsuccessfully for the swimming pool.”

‘The Swimming Pool’ follows album singles ‘Apocalypse Now,’ featuring lead vocals by Norwegian metal titan Kristoffer Rygg (Ulver), and ‘The Art of War,’ which earned praise and support from Brooklyn Vegan, Metal Injection, Exclaim!, Metal Sucks, The PRP, New Noise, MXDWN, and more. Later this year, PERTURBATOR will embark on a headlining tour of the UK and Europe—which sees him playing his biggest venues to date—including London, UK’s 02 Forum Kentish Town and two nights at Paris’ La Bataclan; a full itinerary is listed below and tickets are on-sale HERE. Age of Aquarius is available for pre-order HERE

On Age of Aquarius, PERTURBATOR offers up a more propulsive spin on his moody early work, showcasing his most confident, plainly beautiful, and thematically refined music to date. Where his previous album, 2021’s Lustful Sacraments, was about bad habits and addiction, his sixth LP – mastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Ghost, Opeth) and also featuring Alcest, Author & Punisher and Greta Link – explores how individualism, conflict, and war are interrelated and dominant societal forces. Both brutal and sublime, Age of Aquarius feels like the musical equivalent of a scream into the existential void.

Kent intentionally chooses very evocative song titles since most of his tracks lack lyrics and primarily convey mood through instrumentals. “I like to think of every album as a movie,” he says. “The tracks are all scenes from that one big movie.” The most brutal scene, then, is ‘The Art of War,’ which ranks among Kent’s hardest-hitting songs; its vivid, forceful production attests to the two and a half years he spent tirelessly mastering and elevating his signature style (he wrote, recorded, performed, produced, and mixed the record himself, minus the guest vocals and lyrics). The track embodies the very sound of going into battle, and it could well be the album’s thesis. “It’s more of war as an idea than a concrete event,” Kent says about the LP’s subject matter. It’s no surprise his distinct style of electronic body music (EBM)–built on a DNA of post-punk, goth, and techno influences–has widely appealed to fans of new wave, industrial, and metal alike (his recent collaborators and tourmates HEALTH are an apt comparison).

We might always be in conflict as a species – with others and ourselves – but with Age of Aquarius, Kent provides its fantastic score.

Thrash/groove metal pioneers Exhorder will be touring across Europe this summer. Known for their ferocious live performances and foundational influence on groove metal, the band will bring their explosive energy and relentless sound to fans across in Europe. The tour follows their critically acclaimed 2024 album Defectum Omnium, hailed as a crushing return to form that blends classic aggression with modern heaviness. Featuring founding vocalist Kyle Thomas, the line-up continues to push boundaries while honouring their legacy as one of New Orleans’ heaviest exports.

Kyle Thomas commented:
“We’re looking forward to our first festival season with Pat O’Brien in tow! We will also play some headlining club dates, so let’s hang out! Apologies to the Duisburg fans, as the show on August 6 has been moved to Bochum at Die Trompete. We hope to see as many of you good folks as possible.”

EXHORDER SUMMER TOUR 2025
31-Jul    RO – Rasnovm, Rockstad Extremefest
02-Aug  DE – Wacken, Wacken Open Air
04-Aug  DE – Stuttgart, Schwarzer Keiler
06-Aug  DE – Bochum, Die Trompete
07-Aug  BR – Kortrijk, Alcatraz
08-Aug  DE – Burdlengenfeld, Vaz
09-Aug  CZ – Jaromer, Brutal Assault
10-Aug  DE – Munich, Backstage
12-Aug  HU – Budapest, Barba Negra
13-Aug  AT – Vienna, Viper Room
14-Aug  CH – Lucerne, Sedel
15-Aug  DE – Weinheim, Cafe Central
17-Aug  FR – Carhaix, Motocultor

Sonically unrelenting, Exhorder’s latest record, Defectum Omnium, revisits the band’s early influences of punk, hardcore and thrash, with 12 merciless tracks that sound as vital as when they first carved their groove in metal in 1985. Featuring crushing songs like ‘Year of the Goat’ and ‘Forever and Beyond Despair’ and ominous cover artwork by Travis Smith (Katatonia, Opeth), Defectum Ominum finds Exhorder at the top of their game with one of the year’s most vicious records.

Thomas said of the new record:
“It’s been quite a journey for Exhorder since the 2019 release of Mourn the Southern Skies. Lineup changes as well as the 2020-2021 pandemic and lockdown presented hurdles that weren’t easy to overcome. But we persevered, kept our heads down and went to work with intense focus and real goals. One of those goals was to bring our fourth full length album to our fan base. Defectum Omnium is a collaborative effort in songwriting, much as it was in the early days of Exhorder. We produced it ourselves, as we felt no need or desire to bring in anyone from the outside based upon our shared vision. It was also important to us not only to continue the natural progression this band has been in since the early 90’s, but to put a foot back into our roots. The influence punk and hardcore had on this band from getting our start in the New Orleans punk rock scene has a strong presence. We’ve also made sure to keep plenty of our thrash roots as well in our songwriting process. But we have also managed to keep our doom roots alive, which first surfaced on the song (Cadence of) the Dirge back in 1992. In fact, on one new song we have guest appearances by Rick Wartell and Bruce Franklin from Trouble, and they absolutely killed it!
From the time that we began pre-production until the actual release date, we can promise you that every bit of Defectum Omnium was crafted with great care, and we are really excited about it! Our goal was to make an album that WE loved and gives the experience of a journey
.”
