LAURA COX Releases New Single ‘Not Your Story’

French modern-rock artist Laura Cox returns with a brand-new, previously unheard single, “Not Your Story,” out now via earMUSIC / veryrecords. Released in the middle of her current tour, the track delivers a relentless surge of raw rock energy – a fresh chapter that continues the spirit of her acclaimed album “Trouble Coming” while revealing a darker, more urgent edge.

Driven by a ticking, clock-like rhythm that dictates the pulse of the song, “Not Your Story” unfolds with a sense of constant tension. Click by click, the track builds into a gritty, guitar-heavy rock anthem with unmistakable 90s-tinged attitude – sharp riffs, pounding drums and Laura Cox’s unmistakable voice cutting straight through the noise.

Lyrically, the song dives into the maze of ambition, pressure, and identity. It captures the moment when chasing someone else’s dream becomes a trap – a place where the line between aspiration and obsession begins to blur. With lines that challenge the listener to question the path they’re on, “Not Your Story” becomes both a warning and a wake-up call: if the dream isn’t yours, what’s the point of chasing it?

RUNOVER Release New Single ‘Judgement Day’ in Collaboration with SIW (Superior Italian Wrestling)

Italian groove metal band RUNOVER unveil their new single “Judgement Day”, available on all digital platforms from Thursday, March 12, 2026.

The new single was created in collaboration with SIW – Superior Italian Wrestling and was specifically written for Giorno del Giudizio, scheduled for March 29, 2026 at Teatro Cartiere Carrara in Florence.

The band comment: “We can’t wait to hear our music echo through the arena as the fans take their seats, the wrestlers warm up backstage and the hosts ignite the crowd ready to witness the biggest wrestling event of the year”.

Stream “Judgement Day” here: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/runover/judgment-day

With Judgement Day, RUNOVER bring the full power of their modern groove metal straight to the ring and the audience, just like the energy of the wrestlers spreading through the packed arena during the Day of Judgement. It will be a spectacular show!

The song was recorded and produced at the renowned Domination Studio by Simone Mularoni (DGM, Wind Rose, Symphony X, Trick Or Treat), showcasing the band’s musical identity with clarity and force.

Active since 2010, RUNOVER deliver a distinctive blend of powerful groove metal forged through years of intense live activity. Over the years the band has shared the stage with international heavyweights such as Black Label Society, The Darkness, Testament and Sepultura, building a strong reputation as a formidable live act. Their musical evolution spans from the raw and aggressive debut “Feel The Anger” (2012) to the more mature and layered sounds of their latest work, driven by the powerful title track “The Wall” (2024).

The collaboration between RUNOVER and SIW began after two SIW athletes appeared in the music video for The Wall, the title track of the band’s latest EP. Following that experience, the idea was born to create a song specifically designed for one of the federation’s most important events.

GRIMNER Release First Single + Video ‘Träldomens Far’ from Upcoming Album

Swedish folk metal force Grimner return with thunder and fury as they unveil their new single “Träldomens Far”, out today, March 13 via Despotz Records — the first glimpse of their upcoming fifth full-length album Stormvingar, to be released 4th of September, 2026.

Lyrically, “Träldomens Far” (“The Father of Thraldom”) presents a faithful yet distinctive retelling of a classic Old Norse poem. The song brings ancient myth to life through Grimner’s signature storytelling — breathing new energy into the sagas of the North. Musically, the track is a groovy heavy-hitter packed with catchy melodies, crushing riffs, and a mighty chorus worthy of the shining Aesir.

After nearly four years of silence, Grimner returns to the realm of Midgård with renewed strength. With new blood in their ranks and the iconic voice of returning member Marcus Asplund Brattberg, the band conjures the power of a storm-torn ocean, heralding a new chapter in their saga. The upcoming album Stormvingar promises a full folk metal journey inspired by Swedish folklore and Grimner’s own interpretation of Norse mythology. Their sound continues to blend the aggression of old-school melodic death metal with Nordic folk traditions, alongside elements of classic heavy and power metal — a fusion that has become Grimner’s unmistakable trademark.

The album also sees the addition of brothers Anton Elowson and Axel Elowson, who bring fresh energy and musicianship to the band’s evolving sound.

The band comments:

“Our latest album, ‘Stormvingar’, has reignited a flame in us all, burning a path toward the future while at times taking us back to our roots. We are incredibly excited to unleash this beast of a record!” “As always, we have given everything we have to bring this album to life, and working with Ulf Blomberg of HoboRec Studio for the first time, we couldn’t be happier with the result. We feel that we’ve created something truly special!”

Stormvingar was recorded and mixed by Ulf Blomberg at HoboRec Studio and mastered by Gina Wiklund. The album artwork was created by Julien Bauer, with band photography by Alexandra Petersen. With “Träldomens Far”, Grimner once again sounds the Gjallarhorn — inviting listeners to join their stormbound journey through myth, melody, and metal. Sound the horn and spread the saga far and wide.

Grimner members:
Ted Sjulmark – Vocals, guitars
Marcus Asplund Brattberg – Vocals, guitars
Axel Elowson – Bass
Johan Rydberg – Flutes and whistles
Kristoffer Kullberg – Keyboards
Anton Elowson – Drums

Delving Into MINISTRY’s Vault for Early Concert Favorite ‘Dancing Alone’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on March 13, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: Al Jourgensen, MINISTRY. Leave a comment

Hot on the heels of last year’s Squirrely Years deep dive into the early days of industrial superstars MINISTRY, Al Jourgensen’s youthful repertoire resurfaces once more with a supercharged remaster of a song known only from the band’s live show.

Remixed by Die Krupps mastermind Jurgen Engler, “Dancing Alone” originally appeared in the band’s live set in the aftermath of their debut album With Sympathy in 1982.

Yet it has little in common with the synth tones of that record, as Jourgensen struggled to free himself from the gravitational pull of “Work For Love” etc.

Instead, it points towards the dancier, heavier sound evinced on the singles that followed the band’s arrival at Wax Trax… in other words, the future starts here, even as the accompanying kaleidoscopic video transports you back to the early 80s club scene from which Ministry arose.

This is not the song’s first release.  A straightforward live version of “Dancing Alone,” recorded in Chicago in 1982, appears on Ministry’s 2015 Trax! box set of rarities and unreleased material, and again on the Chicago/Detroit 1982 compilation.

Here, however, it has been brought solidly into the band’s future, a wild 177bpm electro stomp whose 4 minute running in time is jam-packed with raucous riffs, aggressive rhythms and a sassy Jourgensen vocal that is scarcely reconcilable with the familiar growl of later years.

Yet still it instantly identifiable, a magnificent missing link that recaptures the past, even as it then points you towards Ministry’s unforgettable future.  The Squirrely Years roll on!

EIHWAR Premiere Full Stream of New Album “Hugrheim”, Out Today

Season of Mist present the full album stream of Hugrheim, the new album from EIHWAR, released today.

With their second full-length, the pagan troublemakers invite listeners into the hidden tenth world of Yggdrasil. This is Hugrheim, a realm shaped by the Hugr, the force of mind and spirit. It is also, conveniently, a place where war drums echo endlessly and nobody complains about the noise.

Blending Nordic folk instrumentation with electro-industrial pulse and thunderous ritual percussion, Hugrheim captures the chaotic energy that has already rattled festival grounds from Wacken Open Air to Midgardsblot. Eihwar treat Norse mythology less like a museum piece and more like a very loud celebration. Ancient symbolism collides with trance languages, pounding rhythms, and the kind of ritual enthusiasm that tends to make crowds forget they are supposed to stand still.

Across ten tracks, the album unfolds like a guided tour through the stranger corners of this unseen world. From the rune-bound trial of lead single “Nauðiz” and the invocation of “Freyja’s Calling” to the victorious chant of “Heill Óðinn,” each composition opens a new gateway into Hugrheim’s shifting landscapes, including the album’s eponymous track “Hugrheim”. There are battle rites, shadow realms, and luminous gardens. There are also quite a lot of drums.

At the center of the story stand Mark and Asrunn, wandering spirits whose memories of Hugrheim slowly return while inhabiting human bodies on Midgard. Through chants, war drums and trance-driven rhythms, the duo translate that mythology into sound. The result is a concept album that moves easily between ritual atmosphere and outright pagan dancefloor energy.

There is something truly unique about Eihwar. In a way, the band relates to Vikings much like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles relate to turtles: wild, over-the-top superheroes who don’t take themselves too seriously. And yet, from their mischievous spirit and contagious joy emerges a deep and moving poetry. A kind of childlike wisdom.

Following the release of Hugrheim, Eihwar will carry the Tenth World across Europe on a headline run presented under the banner Pagan Folk Nights, joined by special guest Mira Ceti. After commanding major festival stages and igniting packed club shows, the duo now bring their ritual drums, trance chants and industrial folk pulse into an extended continental campaign.

Get ready for the wild electro Nordic folk of EIHWAR! These “Enfants Terribles” aren’t here for solemn atmospheres—their fierce and festive fantasy is made for raging Viking dancefloors. Backed by Season of Mist (home to Heilung and Danheim), Eihwar burst onto YouTube in 2023 and hasn’t slowed down since. With millions of views and festival appearances at Hellfest, Wacken Open Air, and Midgardsblot at the Midgard Viking Center in Norway, they bring a new wave of pagan power shaking across Europe.

This second album from Eihwar describes the world from which these two pagan superheroes originate. It is “Hugrheim,” the 10th hidden world of Yggdrasil in Eihwar’s fantasy mythology. The two musicians explain:

“Over the past few years, our souls have gradually taken over the bodies of two human musicians. Through incarnation, we lost much of our memories. All that remains are images, emotions, and fragments from our previous existence, mixed in with the thoughts and memories of our human hosts. In this new song, we evoke the memories that gradually come back to us: memories of Hugrheim, the tenth world of Yggdrasil, hidden and unknown to men. This world is shaped by the Hugr, the spirit. In this realm dwell the invisible forces of the soul and consciousness. When our vessels perish here and our incarnation ends, we will return to Hugrheim. Still, we hope to remain here as long as possible this time, because nowadays the beer is fucking good, the rockstar life is pretty damn cool, and dental anesthesia actually exists.” — Mark & Asrunn
