SEVEN KINGDOMS, a power metal band hailing from Deland, FL, was formed in 2007. After solidifying their lineup in 2009, the band signed with Nightmare Records and began gaining momentum in the metal scene. Their big break came in 2010 when they were handpicked by BLIND GUARDIAN to support their North American tour, which introduced SEVEN KINGDOMS to a wider audience. Following this, they played notable tours and festivals, including ProgPower USA and the 70,000 Tons of Metal Cruise, while releasing The Fire is Mine in 2012, which marked a pivotal moment in their career with its refined sound and strong reception.
In recent years, SEVEN KINGDOMS has continued to expand their reach with international tours alongside acts like STRATOVIRUS, AMARANTHE and EVERGREY. The band’s latest full-length album, Zenith (2022), was released through Distortion Music Group, further cementing their place in the power metal world where they were featured as the sole support for the first US Tour of POWERWOLF and then with WIND ROSE in the USA and Europe shortly after. After 22 years away, GF93 are back with “Intercession, Temporary Return,” a new EP that revisits their legacy through a darker sonic lens, featuring three iconic tracks from the band’s catalogue reimagined for a new era.
The release strips down and resurrects three of GF93’s most iconic and defining songs: “Crist Buck RU,” “Demonology,” and “Lost Boy.” Reimagined with slowed-down tempos and layers of reverb, the tracks take on a darker, more atmospheric dimension, as if echoing from the depths of the Earth.
GF93 formed in 1996 and built a reputation on an uncompromising, elitist approach to their sound across three studio albums. Their 1997 debut, Beaten, was produced by Paolo Favati (Einstürzende Neubauten, Pankow, Dive) following a year of pre-production, and released through Worldloop/Dune Records. The album drew on the industrial/metal sound of the era and combined the sensibilities of founder Carlo Bellotti, previously of black metal act Necromass, with Favati’s production approach. Beaten performed well commercially and built the band a dedicated following in Italy.
The band’s second album, Goetia Fetish 19.93, followed in 1999–2000 on UK label Copro Records, with production by Dave Chang (Earthtone9, Stampin’ Ground) and distribution through Plastic Head across Europe. The record introduced a heavier, more melodic and hardcore-influenced sound and expanded the band’s reach across the continent. In support, GF93 toured the UK with Misery Loves Co. and Snub, toured Italy with Earthtone9, and played support slots for NOFX, W.A.S.P., Ultraviolence and Swamp Terrorists, alongside a headline set at the Beach Bum Festival’s Tent Stage. A video for “Sleepless” received national rock television airplay.
Following lineup changes that brought in Fabba, Korea, and Vittorio, the band worked with producer Alessandro Paolucci (Westlink) on their third album, Convulse All-Star, recorded and mixed by Martin Barbour (Vacant Stare, Medulla Nocte, Forever Until October, Fony) and released October 22, 2002, through Copro Records/Plastic Head. The album reached the Top Ten of the Rock FM chart, received coverage from Total Rock, Music Choice, Shoutweb and Pimp Rock Palace, and was supported by a video for “Eight Years,” featuring Patrik Wirén of Misery Loves Company. The band appeared on MTV, Rete A All Music, Matchmusic, and Rock TV, and the album prompted a remix EP through Mechanism Records.
GF93’s fourth album, OSR (Own Style Research), followed on November 8, 2004, through Incendiary Records with M-System/SELF distribution, and included a collaboration with Godcity Studio in Boston.
Twenty years and 10 albums into one of the most successful hard rock careers of the modern era, Five Finger Death Punch today released Legacy, the record the band regards as the definitive statement of everything they are. The album arrives on the heels of current single “Eye Of The Storm,” delivering the band’s 18th No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart, extending their own record for the most consecutive No. 1s in the chart’s 45-year history. Few bands reach a 20th anniversary. Fewer still reach it at the height of their commercial power.
Revolver praised the track’s blend of battering riffs and melody driven by Ivan Moody’s introspective vocal performance, while Loudwire called it “a furious opening statement for the new album cycle.”
Founding guitarist Zoltan Bathory left no doubt about where Legacy stands in the band’s catalog: “This album is our loud and clear answer to the question of whether a band can stay true to the signature sound that has become the soundtrack to millions of fans’ daily lives and still write something new and exciting. He doesn’t want to rob the fans of their own interpretation, so a song means whatever it’s supposed to mean to each listener. That’s by design, and I love that about him. But to me, ‘Nails In The Coffin’ is about burying the things that tried to bury us. Every doubt, every prediction that we wouldn’t last, every catastrophe that was supposed to be the last nail in our coffin. 20 years later, we are still here and we’re the ones holding the hammer.”

DECONSEKRATED is an occult death metal band hailing from the cold, rain-soaked south of Chile. Founded in 2020 by guitarist Agorh Skullptor, the project initially began as the vision of three like-minded “black souls” before evolving into a full five-piece lineup. The band’s music explores themes of death, the desecration of Christian dogma, and spiritual transmutation, translating these concepts into a dark and uncompromising sonic identity.
In 2024, DECONSEKRATED released the EP “Ascension in the Altar of Condemned”, issued on CD by Iron Blood and Death (Mexico), on vinyl by Futhark Records (Canada), reissued on CD by Alkolik Holocaust Records (Argentina), and released on cassette by Ancient Sounds of Madness Productions (Poland) and Infernal South Productions (Chile).

With ‘The Explorer’, CALLIDER (Stefan Lange) presents his second album, a sonic expedition that blends melodic death metal with literary depth and cultural reflection.
Following the successful debut ‘Southern Stars’ (2023), Lange takes things a step further: rather than science fiction or Viking clichés, the focus here is on the search for universal values – a tribute to forgotten cultures, historical narratives and the question of what holds humanity together.
Musically, Lange breaks with genre conventions: wind instruments, oriental sounds (Makam music) and acoustic ballads meet classic metal riffs and varied vocals. The result is an accessible yet complex sound that delights even non-metal fans. The lyrics are political, philosophical and poetic – ranging from the unity of humanity (‘One Note’) to a critique of social division.
The artwork (a Polynesian catamaran following the stars) symbolises humanity’s journey: we navigate through crises – but what are our guiding stars? Humanity, solidarity, moral principles. ‘The Explorer’ is not an album to listen to in passing, but an invitation to reflect.
Today also sees the release of the second single, “Kalamas”, complete with a lyric video, from the upcoming new album “The Explorer”. The track also features Kai Biegler, singer and guitarist of the Aalen-based melodic death metal band PARASITE INC, who contributes a guest solo on “Kalamas”.
“Inspired by the Greek national holiday ‘Ochi’ Day, the lyrics are loosely based on the events of the Italo-Greek War during the Second World War. “Kalamas” is the name of a river in north-western Greece, where some of the fighting took place. The lyrics also reflect the never-ending conflicts and wars that humanity wages against one another. The song is a statement against fascism and pays tribute to those who stand up against it”, comments Stefan Lange.
