Franco-Spanish flamenco death metal torch-bearers IMPUREZA present “Reconquistar Al-Ándalus”: a militant and ceremonial march from their long-awaited concept album Alcázares. Blending percussive flamenco, death metal extremity, and historical fantasy, this single occupies a pivotal narrative moment in the album’s grand arc: the fall of Granada and the bloodstained ascension of the cross over the remnants of Islamic Iberia.

Driven by relentless double-kick rhythms and tremolo-picked fury, the track evokes the spiritual violence of the Reconquista’s final hour. Flamenco-inflected passages and orchestral accents frame a scene of brutal redemption, as crusading forces advance on the last bastion of Al-Andalus. Through the voice of Esteban Martín, the listener is cast into the role of a Christian zealot who welcomes death and sets ablaze the very memory of the Caliphate—commanding submission, invoking annihilation, and swearing dominion beneath the symbol of the cross.

A hymn of fire and faith, where the cross is thrust forward as a weapon of reckoning. Watch the lyric video for “Reconquistar Al-Ándalus” on the Season of Mist YouTube channel now:

IMPUREZA is a Franco-Spanish metal band formed in 2004 by guitarist Lionel Cano Muñoz from Orléans. Their music is distinguished by a unique fusion of extreme metal and Spanish sounds inspired by Andalusian culture and flamenco, creating an atypical style known as Hispanic Metal. IMPUREZA remains an innovative project in the international metal scene, making it a pioneer of the genre.

Concept:

The entire concept of the band revolves around the voluptuousness of Latin atmospheres, the ferocity of metal, and Spanish culture and history, explored through a fictional and esoteric aspect. Their compositions feature both clean and guttural vocals sung in the language of Cervantes, flamenco guitar, acoustic fretless bass, extreme metal, and orchestral arrangements that evoke the colors of Spain. The very essence of their music lies in the duality between two seemingly opposed musical genres, which, through clever composition, give birth to a new and avant-garde style. Their fiery music is literally the union of traditional Hispanic folklore and extreme metal. These metal warriors brandish their Iberian sounds as weapons with pride. This ingenious alliance is matched only by the singular and unprecedented creative originality of its founder Lionel Cano Muñoz and his compañero Esteban Martín, both of Spanish nationality. IMPUREZA’s conquistadors draw inspiration from their strong identity, which defines the band’s very essence. Often nicknamed the “French Nile” due to their primary influences, combining the complex and brutal lines of death metal with the most ardent and undulating Latin flames. IMPUREZA‘s members are also influenced by many Spanish artists such as flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucía and gypsy singer Camarón de la Isla, as well as bands like Behemoth, Morbid Angel, Krisiun, and Fleshgod Apocalypse, among others.

Let the conquistadors of IMPUREZA lead you into their realm and immerse you in Spanish culture with a groundbreaking musical concept — the one and only fierce guardians of Hispanic Metal!

Crungus drag you deep into the psyche’s rotting underbelly with “Lost” — a suffocating descent through fear, paranoia, and the shadows we refuse to face. This is brutal death metal at its most unrelenting: filthy, introspective, and unafraid to stare into the mirror.

“Lost” offers a powerful preview of the intensity awaiting listeners on the band’s highly anticipated upcoming album, Hollow, set for release on August 1, 2025, through Wormholedeath.

Fans of Suffocation, Gatecreeper, Tomb Mold, Blood Incantation, and Nile will find plenty to sink their teeth into on Hollow.

Swedish hard rock outfit S.O.R.M has officially unleashed their brand new track, ‘The Sacrifice’, which offers another powerful statement from the Lidköping-based four-piece. The stand-alone single is out now via Noble Demon and available for streaming HERE.

The band offers insight into the single’s core message: “The new single is a song that speaks to everyone. It’s about all the sacrifices we do just so we can keep on living. At the end we all turn to the lord and ask for a hero that can help lead the way. My problems in life are different from yours but we all sometimes need to do sacrifices to keep on moving forward. The hardest work is to sacrifice something without regrets. But in the end we always wonder if he hears you calling out.“

Formed in 2017, S.O.R.M quickly made a name for themselves with the release of their outstanding “Hellraiser” EP (2020), which introduced the band to the world and captivated audiences with their infectious hooks right from the start. The band’s 2023 debut album, “Under My Skin” (Noble Demon), further solidified their position in the hard rock scene, featuring guest appearances by legendary guitarists Doug Blair of W.A.S.P. and Nick Petrino of Dee Snider. German metalcore outfit ACCVSED just unleashed the emotional new track ‘Make Sure It Hurts’ from their upcoming debut Dealers of Doom. The album is set for release on 1st August via Arising Empire.

Stream here: https://arisingempire.com/accvsed

ACCVSED have been making noise for a while now with singles like ‘Day of the Locust‘, ‘Avoider‘, ‘Never Enough‘, ‘Don’t Let Me Fall Apart‘ and ‘Killer of Minds‘, gradually building a solid rep as one of the most promising heavy acts coming out of Germany. Each release has only added to their momentum, with fans digging their emotionally raw songwriting and explosive live energy.

Dealers of Doom feels like ACCVSED are laying down their mission statement – unfiltered, intense, and diving headfirst into the darker side of life.

Since their formation in 2021, ACCVSED has adhered to one principle: presenting themselves to the world authentically, without playing a role or sugarcoating their expressions. They channel their deepest traumas and fears into their music, creating a distinct and energetic blend of bold guitar riffs, unique vocals, and raw emotion. This combination shapes their sound into an unstoppable force.

Hailing from Wiesbaden, ACCVSED quickly realized that being a local band was not their ambition. They moved swiftly and made a significant impact on the music scene with their debut EP, House of Doubt, released in December 2023. The breakthrough single ‘Currents’ led the 6-song EP, establishing a foundation for their constantly evolving musical style and garnering them worldwide attention. This success resulted in support shows and festival appearances throughout Germany and its surrounding countries.

Undeterred, ACCVSED set their sights on the next step, releasing their debut full length Dealers of Doom via Arising Empire on 1st of August 2025. Showcasing their evolution from their most aggressive and unrelenting side, ACCVSED is set to release 10 songs fueled by anger, deepest fears and regrets and a fatalistic view on life as such. As they dive deeper into the abyss, each album track feels like a bitter pill, leaving the listener in a state of catharsis and hard to swallow truth about their very own take on life. With relentless energy and bold sound, breakdowns feeling like a hammer straight to the bone, raw vocals feeling like hands woven tightly around your neck – ACCVSED makes sure you will swallow every single one of it, without escape.

All of these three must-have reissues, that belong into every well-sorted goth, death and dark metal record collection, are now available on limited colored vinyl through ROAR! Order your favorite copy now on:

Due to high demand, CREMATORY have furthermore announced to reissue and bring back to life: “Illusions” (1995), “Das Deutsche Album” (1996) and “Awake” (1997)!

In the mid-1990s, CREMATORY emerged as a leading force in the German gothic metal scene. Formed in 1991, the band fused death metal roots with darkwave and gothic influences, creating a unique sound marked by growled vocals, melodic keyboards, and melancholic themes. By the time “Illusions” was released in 1995, CREMATORY had refined their identity, gaining international attention with emotionally charged songs and powerful live performances. Their work during this era helped shape the sound of European gothic metal, and alongside 90s cult acts such as TYPE O NEGATIVE,  TIAMAT,  MOONSPELL, THE GATHERING and PARADISE LOST, CREMATORY became one of the most successful representatives of their genre.

“Illusions”, “Das Deutsche Album” and “Awake” will be re-released as limited vinyl editions on August 22, 2025 via ROAR. Pre-orders have just started at:

ENTRAILS Release New Single ‘Skin ’em All’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on July 5, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: Entrails. Leave a comment

Swedish death metal surgeons Entrails are back with a new studio effort titled Grip of Ancient Evil, to be released on 18th July via Hammerheart Records. The album’s third single, ‘Skin ’em All’, is now available to stream on the label’s YouTube channel.

Entrails comment: “Full throttle from the first second into a groovier part and a nice relaxed middle section, this song is a beast for the die-hard fans of the genre we play. Not modern, just simple old-school in the vein of the 90s.“

Pre-order Grip of Ancient Evil here: https://entrails.lnk.to/gripofancientevil

Listen to ‘Skin ’em All’ here: https://youtu.be/mgc_YfurSHg

FFO: Entombed, Dismember, Grave, Bloodbath
Genre: Death Metal

Following the acclaimed release of An Eternal Time of Decay, Entrails dug deeper into the grave to conjure up their darkest and most savage material to date with their eighth full-length album, Grip of Ancient Evil.

In addition to honouring all its promises of brutality, the LP also features a number of surprises, including guest vocals by Per “Hellbutcher” Gustavsson (Friends of Hell, Nifelheim) on the song ‘Inner Demon’ and some intriguing acoustic passages.

Fronted by relentless leader Jimmy Lundqvist since the band’s rebirth 15 years ago, Entrails have gone on to bless the European death metal scene with hailed performances at cult festivals such as Netherlands Deathfest, Obscene Extreme Festival, Kill-Town Death Fest, and Hellfest.

In the finest tradition of Swedish old-school death metal, Entrails deliver another uncompromising homage to extreme music with this new ritualistic offering. If an unhealthy mix of HM-2 buzzsaw guitars, bludgeoning rhythms, and horror-drenched lyrics sounds like a delicacy, Grip of Ancient Evil should be right up your alley.

Tracklist:

1. Grip of Ancient Evil
2. Untreatable Decay
3. Skin ‘em All
4. Conquering the Unknown
5. Hunt in the Shadows
6. Fed to the Dead

8. Graveyard Rising
9. Inner Demon
10. Insane Death
11. Consumed by Insects
