Hard rock juggernaut The Dead Daisies have officially charted a bold course for 2027, ushering in a thrilling new chapter with the addition of legendary former Foreigner frontman Kelly Hansen on lead vocals. Signalling a restart for the band, the rock collective has confirmed the upcoming release of abrand- new singlealongsideextensive global touring plans.
Fronted by exceptional lead vocalist Kelly Hansen (Foreigner/Hurricane), the lineup features stellar guitar work from Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake/Dio) alongside driving rhythm from guitarist David Lowy (MINK/Red Phoenix). Rounding out the powerhouse rhythm section are heavy-hitting drummer Tommy Clufetos (Black Sabbath/Ozzy Osbourne) and dynamic bassist Jimi Crutchley (The Quireboys).
“When I left Foreigner after 20 great years, I told everybody I wasn’t “retiring” just moving on to other things. This project gives me the opportunity to stretch out with some new melodies, a new vibe and fresh energy. We’re gonna rock it!” – Kelly Hansen
With the band in the studio working on new music, ‘Lift Me Up’ is the first track to materialise as a preview of what lies ahead….
“‘Lift Me Up’ started off as a dead simple guitar riff and heavy groove….as the song progressed the melody just grew from there. It’s very melodic and the lyric reflects positively and a vibe to lift us up in these crazy times. We’re working on more cool music for the album right now and I’m excited about where it’s heading. It’s also gonna be amazing to be onstage with Kelly again after all these years! His vocal range is exceptional and he’s a badass frontman. Can’t wait to get out there and see you all in 2027!!” – Doug Aldrich

The Dead Daisies will spend the remainder of the year in the recording studio and hit the road for an extensive global tour in 2027. While their confirmed spring leg runs through Europe and the United Kingdom from March 4 to March 21, the band has also announced an upcoming USA tour leg for 2027.
Audiences can expect an explosive live set bringing the band’s new tracks and classic fan favourites to stages worldwide.
“We’re fired up about the direction The Daisies is taking. Kelly has slotted in and it just feels right. We’ve got a killer record taking shape and looking forward to a big year of touring ahead. Bring on 2027!” – David Lowy

Alt-rockers The Intemperate Sons have released their third studio album, Ephemera, via FRAME|WORK, marking the latest chapter for a band whose music exists at the intersection of atmospheric alternative rock, emotional intensity, and powerful songwriting.
Produced by The Intemperate Sons and Amir Derakh, Ephemera captures the band’s ability to balance expansive, immersive soundscapes with deeply personal and introspective songwriting. The album explores themes of memory, change, relationships, loss, and the fleeting nature of the moments that shape our lives.
Ephemera pushes the band into its darkest and heaviest territory yet, blending gothic atmosphere with driving alt-rock. The album takes its name from the Greek for “lasting only a day,” and its songs circle the fragile, hungry nature of being alive: the body as a borrowed costume, the masks we wear, the light we can’t hold on to, and the things that consume us while we consume them. Previously released singles including “Chew,” “Meat Suit,” and “The One That Eats You” introduced that theme; Ephemera completes it.
At the heart of the album is “Chasing the Shadows of Dragonflies.” The dragonfly preys on things that may only last a day, and the song follows the pursuit of something that can never quite be caught, a shadow mistaken for the real thing.
For collectors and longtime fans, physical editions of Ephemera are also on the way. Vinyl and CD editions are scheduled for release in early November, giving fans the opportunity to own the album in physical formats.
Ephemeraby The Intemperate Sons is available now via FRAME|WORK. Vinyl and CD editions arrive in early November.

In the sweltering Dallas summer of 2019, before the onset of a global pandemic, The Intemperate Sons were born from blood, grit, and a shared obsession with the ghosts of alternative rock’s golden age. The Watson family—Keith on drums, Jake on guitars, and Max on vocals, guitars, and keys—joined forces with longtime friend and bassist Mark Marks to create a sound that’s equal parts searing riffs, haunting harmonies, and unapologetic soul. Think Alice in Chains’ brooding intensity, Stone Temple Pilots’ swagger, and R.E.M.’s poetic undercurrent, all filtered through a ‘70s rock haze that refuses to play it safe.
This isn’t just a band; it’s a family affair, where the unspoken bond between father and sons fuels every chord and lyric. Keith, a Dallas stage veteran, pens lyrics that cut deep—tales of regret, resilience, and the chaos of the human condition. Jake’s guitar lines, sharp yet soulful, weave narratives of their own, while Max’s voice carries the weight of a 25-year-old who’s lived a lifetime in his head. Mark, the groove-obsessed bassist, ties it all together.
The Intemperate Sons hit the ground running, catching the ear of rock heavyweights Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh (Orgy, Dead By Sunrise, Julien-K), who signed them to their Frame|Work label in 2021. Even a global pandemic couldn’t derail their momentum—holed up in The Kitchen Recording Studios, they crafted their debut album, The Color Within (2022), with tracks like “Dust to Dust” and “Running Man” that pulse with raw emotion and retro grit. Collaborations with legends like Tony Franklin (Whitesnake, The Firm) on singles like “Running Man” and “Dust to Dust” and Derakh’s production on singles like “Game of Keep Away” and “Dark Day’s Night” featured on their second and highly successful album, Dark Day’s Night (2024) pushed their sound further, blending post-grunge edge with folk and hard rock undercurrents.
For fans of alternative rock, this band is a throwback and a revelation—a reminder of why you fell in love with the genre’s raw honesty and a promise that its spirit still burns. The Intemperate Sons aren’t chasing trends; they’re carving their own path, one riff, one lyric, one night at a time.performing tracks that scratch deep into the backbone of the human experience. There is no shortage of darkness in their writing style which has a retro vibe with many guitar driven tracks stacked on top of a groovy rhythm section. The heavier style fits perfectly with the two and three-part vocal harmonies that are a huge part of their overall sound. It has been said that musicians that are related form unique sounds and communicate on a frequency only they can understand. This frequency has become engrained in their songwriting, arrangements, guitar melodies and vocal harmonies. The band has been compared to Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, and even R.E.M.
The Intemperate Sons are: Max Watson (vocals, backing vocals, guitars, keys, bass) Jake Watson (guitars, bass and backing vocals) Keith Watson (drums, backing vocals) Mark Marks (bass)
Swedish rock icon Matti Alfonzetti returns with “Going for the Kill”, his new studio album set for release on December 11, 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl.
The first single and official music video, “Runaway”, are also available today, giving a taste of the upcoming record.
Matti Alfonzetti described the single as “very much classic rock, and a favourite of mine. I think it sets the mood for the whole album. It’s pure Alfonzetti!”
“Going for the Kill” is a dynamic melodic rock album that seamlessly blends classic influences with a modern edge. Best known for his soulful voice, powerful delivery, and songwriting prowess, Alfonzetti once again proves why he’s considered one of Scandinavia’s most enduring and respected rock vocalists.
He stated: “Going For The Kill” is my way of paying tribute to 70’s and 80’s AOR rock which I grew up with. I think any fan of that era will understand what this release is about.”
“Going for the Kill” is a tour de force of contemporary AOR and hard-edged melodic rock, taking cues from genre masters such as Foreigner, FM, Def Leppard, Bryan Adams and Alias, while injecting fresh energy and production polish. From the soaring hooks to the crisp arrangements, the album is a showcase of melodic craft and passionate performance.
On the recordings, Matti Alfonzetti not only takes care of lead and backing vocals but also handles bass, rhythm guitars, and keyboards, underlining his multi-instrumental talent and personal investment in the project. The line-up of musicians on the album also includes Dante Alfonzetti (bass on “Going for the Kill” and “When The Gods Play Rock n’ Roll”), Staffan Brodén on drums, and Martin Jepsen Andersen on lead guitar.
With a career spanning over four decades, Matti first made waves in the ’80s with Bam Bam Boys and went on to front acclaimed acts such as Jagged Edge (UK) and Skintrade, before embarking on a successful solo journey with albums like “Ready” and “Machine”. He’s also been a key part of projects like Impera, Red White & Blues, and Road to Ruin, earning a reputation as both a consummate performer and a highly skilled producer and songwriter.
“Going for the Kill” is not just a return – it’s a reaffirmation. A statement album by an artist at the height of his creative powers, it’s essential listening for fans of melodic rock, both classic and contemporary.

Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina hardcore outfit URBAN INSTINKT have signed with Time To Kill Records for the release of their third album, marking another step forward for a band that has built a strong reputation in its homeland and is now increasingly looking beyond its borders. Active since 2010, the quartet have developed a direct and energetic take on hardcore, drawing from the genre’s classic vocabulary while allowing plenty of room for personal interpretation. Their music carries echoes of Cro-Mags, Biohazard and Sick Of It All, although these influences are absorbed rather than reproduced, with occasional old-school metal touches adding further weight and colour.
Several songs move through multiple changes of pace and register, revealing a broader musical perspective beneath the immediate impact of the riffs. Groove, melody and sharper metallic accents can all find their place without diluting the band’s hardcore foundation. Equally central is an outspoken lyrical approach, with URBAN INSTINKT addressing social and political issues head-on and refusing to stay on the sidelines.
Over the years, the band have shared stages with Pro-Pain, Agnostic Front, Born From Pain, Comeback Kid and Ignite, and even reached the finals of the Wacken Metal Battle among five former Yugoslav bands.
With Time To Kill Records now behind them, URBAN INSTINKT are ready to take their next step onto a wider European stage.

The new record from the Italian garage rock duo DOLI’S, released via Diotima Records, is a raw concept album mapping the emotional stages of a post-breakup journey.
Out today on all digital platforms is “Temporal(e)”, the highly anticipated new album from Doli’s, an Italian independent garage rock duo. Released via Diotima Records, the album drops alongside its second focus single and official lyric video: “Black Tones”.
The Album: “Temporal(e)” “Temporal(e)” is a seamless narrative and emotional journey composed of 14 interconnected tracks. Picking up the story right where their debut EP “Room 13” left off, the album functions as a continuous flow: every track is linked to the next through seamless intros and outros, guiding the listener through the psychological stages that follow a major breakup. The album features a very special guest on 8 tracks: world-famous operatic soprano and actress MARIAM BATTISTELLI!
Anger, frustration, sadness, envy, and disbelief take center stage in a soundscape driven entirely by the male protagonist’s perspective. Stripped of his identity after giving everything to the past relationship, the protagonist struggles against phantom memories and the recurring voice of his ex—who constantly seeks to manipulate his mind—while coping with unhealthy habits passed down like scars.
The album concludes with an open ending, designed to connect directly into the duo’s next release.
The Single & Lyric Video: “Black Tones” Leading the album release is the focus single “Black Tones”, capturing the moment of internal short-circuit.
After enduring relentless psychological mind games, the protagonist reaches a tipping point of self-contradiction, bordering on madness. Left alone without bearings, he is forced to react and confront the reality of his situation for the first time. “Black Tones” translates this emotional turmoil into sharp, tense, and visceral garage rock, accompanied by an official lyric video available today on YouTube.

With “Temporal(e)”, released on Diotima Records, the duo presents their most mature and ambitious work to date.
The two-time Fonogram winner Thy Catafalque is releasing the second single from its quietly expansive thirteenth album. Both the darkest and heaviest song on XIII: Sárga erdő, “Tömbök” is centered around a natural phenomenon that’s reminiscent of daily life’s affect on the human mind.
“In English, ‘Tömbök’ means Masses”, explains Thy Catafalque visionary Tamás Kátai. “The lyrics are about the method of waste disposal by incineration and the process of how the waste is being divided into heat and slag or lifeless masses and how matter shifts its shape during different chemical and physical circumstances. You can apply the phenomenon to how the human mindset is affected by daily life, if you wish, though that’s just an idea”.
“This is Thy Catafalque’s first video with the band playing a song”, Kátai continues. “On ‘Tömbök’, we have Gábor Veres on vocals and we also have a flute”.
XIII: Sárga erdőcomes out November 20, 2026 on Season of Mist.
On XIII: Sárga erdő (Yellow Forest), Kátai wanders through an old, half-remembered time from a quietly expansive direction. Thy Catafalque’s new album features more than 30 collaborators, including a 20-person choir and, for the first time in the project’s history, a live drummer. However, the folk and classical elements that flooded 2024’s XII: A gyönyörű álmok ezután jönnek are handled here with a lighter touch. Just as a forest doesn’t explain its colors, the album turns inside you, until you look up to discover that you’re somewhere new.

Yellow forests don’t stay yellow for long. That’s the image Tamás Kátai keeps returning to when he talks about THY CATAFALQUE‘s thirteenth album, Sárga erdő—a title that translates plainly and then unfolds into something less settled the longer you sit with it. There’s no single story running through the record’s twelve tracks, Kátai says, only a feeling: wandering through a forest built from old time, half-remembered and already turning colour. It’s the quietest premise he’s worked from in years, and perhaps even the most honest one yet.
Thy Catafalque began in Makó, in southeastern Hungary, in 1998, when Kátai and a bandmate named János Juhász put together a black metal project with no intention of ever playing it live. The name itself—catafalque, the platform that holds a coffin during a funeral rite—told you where the mood was headed before a single note was even heard. A year later, Sublunary Tragedies arrived through the Budapest label KaOtic Productions, tremolo-picked and grim in the way most things were grim in that corner of European metal at the time, though even then the seams were showing: this was never going to stay inside the genre’s lines.
It didn’t. Microcosmos followed in 2001, restless in ways the debut hadn’t dared to be, and when KaOtic folded, Kátai self-released 2004’s Tűnő Idő Tárlat rather than wait for another label to catch up to him. These were the years the project figured out what it actually was—not black metal with detours, but something closer to a single songwriter’s imagination refusing to be filed under anything.
Signing to the avant-garde label Epidemie Records in 2009 gave that imagination its first real audience. Róka Hasa Rádió became Thy Catafalque’s breakout, and it introduced a voice that would keep returning across the decades since: Attila Bakos, whose clean vocals still surface on Kátai’s records fifteen-plus years later, most recently on XII. But the real hinge point came in 2011, with Rengeteg—the first album Kátai wrote and recorded entirely alone, and his first for Season of Mist. From here on, Thy Catafalque wasn’t a band in any conventional sense. It was Kátai’s vision, executed with the help of whoever he needed to bring it to life, a model that would eventually mean twenty, thirty, sometimes three-dozen collaborators on a single record.
Sgùrr, Meta and Geometria carried that model through the back half of the 2010s, each one pushing the genre-hopping further—prog, electronica, jazz, Hungarian folk, all folded into records that critics increasingly struggled to categorize and increasingly stopped trying to. By the time Naiv arrived in 2020, Thy Catafalque had become something like Hungary’s most singular musical export, a reputation the country’s own industry made official the following year: Vadak, released in 2021, won the Fonogram Award—the Hungarian equivalent of a Grammy—for Best Hard Rock/Metal Album. That same year, something else changed. Thy Catafalque, for the first time in over two decades of existing purely as a studio project, played live—a single performance at the Fekete Zaj festival with twenty-six musicians onstage, later released as the concert album Mezolit. The project that had never intended to leave the studio had just proven it could fill a stage.
It’s kept proving that formula ever since. Alföld, in 2023, brought Thy Catafalque a second Fonogram win and a return to the heavier, more grounded sound of the project’s earliest years. XII: A gyönyörű álmok ezután jönnek followed in 2024, Kátai’s first album made with an outside producer—Gábor Vári, a longtime live collaborator who stepped behind the desk and helped shape a record New Noise called a five-star “celebration of the powers of music.” Thy Catafalque spent 2025 making its debut at Hellfest, Rockstadt Extreme and Alcatraz, and playing its first-ever shows in Latin America. A second European headline tour, opening at Budapest’s Dürer Kert in March 2026, has carried that momentum straight into the new album cycle.
Sárga erdő, out this autumn via Season of Mist, was recorded across various locations and at Miracle Sound Szeged with Gábor Vári again handling engineering, mixing and mastering. It marks another first for the project: real drums, played rather than programmed, for the first time in Thy Catafalque’s history. Thirty-four musicians and vocalists appear across the record, along with a twenty-voice male choir, but the folk and classical textures that flooded XII—sitar, kamancheh, zither, strings—are handled with a lighter touch here, chosen with more precision for the moments that call for them. There’s no unifying story across the twelve tracks, only that same felt sense of wandering through old, half-remembered time. A forest doesn’t explain its colours—it just keeps turning them, until you look up and you’re standing somewhere new.
