The title track, “Estuary“, is the second song to be revealed from the album.
Accompanied by a music video produced by WITTR, the track follows mythical figures moving through a landscape of decayed concrete, collapsed railroad tracks, and industrial ruins overgrown with brambles and ivy. The Blue Heron overlooks the estuary, where salt water and fresh water combine in an alchemy of renewal.
Nathan Weaver says: “If wilderness overcame the cities in the future, the estuaries would be realms of power and magic. Within the world-building of the album, the estuaries are key nexus points where magic has taken on physical form. Spirits, both good and evil, walk the earth.”
French extreme metal band NECROWRETCH have announced a run of European dates with Iceland’s Misþyrming, taking place from 10 to 16 October as part of the All Worlds in Decay Tour 2026. The seven shows cover Belgium, Germany, Sweden and Poland, with French death metal outfit Profanation and Italian experimental black metal duo Gorrch completing the bill.
Live, Necrowretch operate as a four-piece, with Vlad on vocals and rhythm guitar, W. Cadaver on lead guitar, R. Cadaver on bass and N. Destroyer on drums. Their road record runs through club tours alongside Impiety and Cemetery Urn, Asian dates in 2018, Hellfest in 2022 and Nox Occultum in Tilburg in September 2025.
The dates follow Swords of Dajjal, the band’s fifth album, released through Season of Mist on February 2nd, 2024.
Three years in the making, Swords of Dajjal was recorded, mixed and mastered by Francis Caste at Studio Sainte Marthe in Paris and sharpens the band’s black metal focus while keeping traces of the death metal that shaped them. Its eight tracks are conceived as prophecies centred on Dajjal, the false messiah of Islamic eschatology, drawing on North African and Middle Eastern mythology.

Hard rock juggernaut The Dead Daisies have officially charted a bold course for 2027, ushering in a thrilling new chapter with the addition of legendary former Foreigner frontman Kelly Hansen on lead vocals. Signalling a restart for the band, the rock collective has confirmed the upcoming release of abrand- new singlealongsideextensive global touring plans.
Fronted by exceptional lead vocalist Kelly Hansen (Foreigner/Hurricane), the lineup features stellar guitar work from Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake/Dio) alongside driving rhythm from guitarist David Lowy (MINK/Red Phoenix). Alt-rockers The Intemperate Sons have released their third studio album, Ephemera, via FRAME|WORK, marking the latest chapter for a band whose music exists at the intersection of atmospheric alternative rock, emotional intensity, and powerful songwriting.
Produced by The Intemperate Sons and Amir Derakh, Ephemera captures the band’s ability to balance expansive, immersive soundscapes with deeply personal and introspective songwriting. The album explores themes of memory, change, relationships, loss, and the fleeting nature of the moments that shape our lives.
Ephemera pushes the band into its darkest and heaviest territory yet, blending gothic atmosphere with driving alt-rock. The album takes its name from the Greek for “lasting only a day,” and its songs circle the fragile, hungry nature of being alive: the body as a borrowed costume, the masks we wear, the light we can’t hold on to, and the things that consume us while we consume them. Previously released singles including “Chew,” “Meat Suit,” and “The One That Eats You” introduced that theme; Ephemera completes it.
At the heart of the album is “Chasing the Shadows of Dragonflies.” The dragonfly preys on things that may only last a day, and the song follows the pursuit of something that can never quite be caught, a shadow mistaken for the real thing.
For collectors and longtime fans, physical editions of Ephemera are also on the way. Vinyl and CD editions are scheduled for release in early November, giving fans the opportunity to own the album in physical formats.

In the sweltering Dallas summer of 2019, before the onset of a global pandemic, The Intemperate Sons were born from blood, grit, and a shared obsession with the ghosts of alternative rock’s golden age. The Watson family—Keith on drums, Jake on guitars, and Max on vocals, guitars, and keys—joined forces with longtime friend and bassist Mark Marks to create a sound that’s equal parts searing riffs, haunting harmonies, and unapologetic soul. Think Alice in Chains’ brooding intensity, Stone Temple Pilots’ swagger, and R.E.M.’s poetic undercurrent, all filtered through a ‘70s rock haze that refuses to play it safe.
This isn’t just a band; it’s a family affair, where the unspoken bond between father and sons fuels every chord and lyric. Keith, a Dallas stage veteran, pens lyrics that cut deep—tales of regret, resilience, and the chaos of the human condition. Jake’s guitar lines, sharp yet soulful, weave narratives of their own, while Max’s voice carries the weight of a 25-year-old who’s lived a lifetime in his head. The Intemperate Sons hit the ground running, catching the ear of rock heavyweights Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh (Orgy, Dead By Sunrise, Julien-K), who signed them to their Frame|Work label in 2021. Even a global pandemic couldn’t derail their momentum—holed up in The Kitchen Recording Studios, they crafted their debut album, The Color Within (2022), with tracks like “Dust to Dust” and “Running Man” that pulse with raw emotion and retro grit. Collaborations with legends like Tony Franklin (Whitesnake, The Firm) on singles like “Running Man” and “Dust to Dust” and Derakh’s production on singles like “Game of Keep Away” and “Dark Day’s Night” featured on their second and highly successful album, Dark Day’s Night (2024) pushed their sound further, blending post-grunge edge with folk and hard rock undercurrents.

Swedish rock icon Matti Alfonzetti returns with “Going for the Kill”, his new studio album set for release on December 11, 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl.
The first single and official music video, “Runaway”, are also available today, giving a taste of the upcoming record.
Matti Alfonzetti described the single as “very much classic rock, and a favourite of mine. I think it sets the mood for the whole album. It’s pure Alfonzetti!”

With a career spanning over four decades, Matti first made waves in the ’80s with Bam Bam Boys and went on to front acclaimed acts such as Jagged Edge (UK) and Skintrade, before embarking on a successful solo journey with albums like “Ready” and “Machine”. He’s also been a key part of projects like Impera, Red White & Blues, and Road to Ruin, earning a reputation as both a consummate performer and a highly skilled producer and songwriter.

Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina hardcore outfit URBAN INSTINKT have signed with Time To Kill Records for the release of their third album, marking another step forward for a band that has built a strong reputation in its homeland and is now increasingly looking beyond its borders. Active since 2010, the quartet have developed a direct and energetic take on hardcore, drawing from the genre’s classic vocabulary while allowing plenty of room for personal interpretation. Their music carries echoes of Cro-Mags, Biohazard and Sick Of It All, although these influences are absorbed rather than reproduced, with occasional old-school metal touches adding further weight and colour.
Several songs move through multiple changes of pace and register, revealing a broader musical perspective beneath the immediate impact of the riffs. Groove, melody and sharper metallic accents can all find their place without diluting the band’s hardcore foundation. Equally central is an outspoken lyrical approach, with URBAN INSTINKT addressing social and political issues head-on and refusing to stay on the sidelines.
Over the years, the band have shared stages with Pro-Pain, Agnostic Front, Born From Pain, Comeback Kid and Ignite, and even reached the finals of the Wacken Metal Battle among five former Yugoslav bands.
