DEFECTS Reveal Brand-New Single And Video ‘Heresy’

Fast-rising metallers Defects today drop their brand-new track, Heresy – an unrelenting exorcism of the soul, which rages at false promises. Watch the video for the song HERE.

The band has spent the start of the summer tearing across the European festival circuit. Debuting the song at Slam Dunk (UK) to a phenomenal response before releasing it on Mystic Festival (Poland), Rock Im Park/Rock Am Ring (Germany), Rock for the People (Czech Republic) and Krakow (Poland) in support of the mighty Northlane. “It has been incredible. It’s brought a new level of energy to our live sets and really gets the crowd jumping. It feels more polished, more evolved than anything from the first album.,” says singer Tony Maue.

Heresy is the first track since last year’s breakthrough debut, the incredibly personal Modern Error. 2024 saw them take the stage at Download (UK) and Graspop (Belgium), as well as perform alongside Of Mice and Men, Orbit Culture, and Funeral for a Friend, in addition as already having shared the stage with Bullet for My Valentine and In Flames.

Hypnotic riffs whirl into action before they throw out the opening gambit, “Let’s go!” and Maue launches into the guttural growl. “So keep on telling yourself that everyone will be saved.”  Riffs from hell combined with apocalyptic drums, which continue their incendiary, hardcore-meets-melodic, mountain-shaking sound.

Talking about the new song, Maue goes on to say, “Heresy is a brutal confrontation with blind faith and false hope—a soaring anthem for anyone fed up with being lied to. It doesn’t hold back, warning of the silence that follows empty promises and the chaos that comes from unquestioned belief. Every lyric is a cry for accountability and justice.”

The band are never afraid to delve into the most personal depths of their emotions. Talking about the band’s evolution, Maue adds, “Following on from Modern Error, our sound has taken a big leap forward. We didn’t cut any corners—every detail was considered. We set out to do something new while staying true to the core of what makes this band special and why people connected with us in the first place. Writing this time was a challenge. We pushed ourselves to go places we hadn’t before, rewriting countless demos until we had something that felt like the best version of ourselves. I think people will feel that.”

Defects are set to spend the rest of the summer lighting up the festival stages across Europe; Jera On Air (The Netherlands), Impericon Festival (Germany), Rockharz (Germany), Summer Breeze Open Air (Germany), Parkpop (Belgium) and supporting metalcore titans Trivium for three shows across Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands.  Sharing the stage with Trivium will be a particularly poignant moment as the singer smiles, “This is a real full-circle moment for all of us. We grew up listening to them and took a lot of influence from their music. This is what we live for—moments like this.”

“The response to Modern Error was unreal,” Maue reflects. We were writing those songs during lockdown, mostly for ourselves. So to see people get tattoos, scream the words back at us, and say the music helped them through hard times… that’s something we’ll never get over. We love our fans deeply and appreciate every bit of support. That connection fuels us. We want to show them why they should stick around for this next chapter. The new material has pushed us creatively and emotionally—it’s bigger, smarter, and more intense. Still raw and emotional, like the first record, but with more depth and intention. All killer, no filler.”

As Defects enter a new chapter, the deep personal connection with fans has grown. Comfortable in their own skin, they remain committed to the messages they convey, and now the music has taken a leap forward, with its sights firmly set on the biggest stages.

STYGIAN FAIR Unveil New Single + Video ‘All of Us’ from Upcoming Album

Posted by tarjavirmakari on June 19, 2025

Following the raw intensity of their previous single “Abide Your Master”, Swedish heavy epic metallers Stygian Fair unveil a new and more introspective side of their upcoming album “The Hidden Realm” with the release of “All Of Us” — available now on all digital platforms alongside an official music video on the Rockshots Records YouTube channel.

Described by the band as “the closest we’ll come to a ballad on this record”, “All Of Us” explores themes of loneliness and conscience, trading thunder for nuance while keeping the emotional impact intact. With its haunting melodies and melancholic undertones, the track stands as a powerful reflection on the fragile spaces between isolation and inner strength.

The upcoming full-length “The Hidden Realm” marks a new chapter for Stygian Fair — sharper, more melodic, and more direct than ever before, yet uncompromising in its authenticity. Lyrically, the album dives deep into modern chaos and ancient myth alike, tackling everything from AI, political cults, and consumerism to existential reckoning and forgotten histories. It’s a record about the truths we bury, the world we ignore, and the cost of staying silent.

Known for their refusal to chase trends or rely on backing tracks, Stygian Fair keep things real, both in the studio and on stage. Their live performances are raw, honest, and deeply human. No masks. No click tracks. Just honest, melodic, heavy music delivered with purpose.

Featuring members with deep roots in the Scandinavian metal scene — including Andreas Stoltz (Hollow, Binary Creed), Emil Holmqvist and P-O Jonsson (Crave), and Anders Hedman (Witch) — Stygian Fair blends epic heavy metal with progressive influences and strong, emotionally driven songwriting. Their sound has been described as “uncompromising, melodic and timeless”, drawing comparisons to bands like Tad Morose and Memento Mori.

With “All Of Us,” Stygian Fair shows that heaviness doesn’t always come from volume—sometimes, it comes from honesty.

Finnish rockers Rust N’ Rage are back with the brand new album “Songs Of Yesterday”, set for release on August 22nd, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.

Pre-Order “Songs Of Yesterday” HERE

The band are pleased to unveil the first single and accompanying video, “One For All (All For One)”, available today.

Describing the new single, the band commented: “It’s time to face the revolution with our brand new heavy-hitting single! So, dive into our world of rock n’ roll, where we truly are One For All and All For One!”

About the new album, they added: “Songs Of Yesterday” is an ultimate collection of nasty riffs and tasty hooks; all forged in the fires of adrenaline filled rock n’ roll! These tracks are sure to get your head banging, so give it a spin and play it loud!”

Through lots of hard work and gigging, Rust N’ Rage have been starting to make a name for themselves in their home country of Finland. With energetic live shows and anthemic songwriting, this rock n’ roll quartet is ready to introduce themselves to the world more than ever before.

Coming from a small Finnish town called Pori, Rust N’ Rage are four musicians – Vince, Johnny, Jezzie, and Eddy – who share a common passion for rock n’ roll. Initially playing individually around their town, it didn’t take long for them to unite under a shared musical vision.

Drawing inspiration from ’80s legends such as Guns n’ Roses, Judas Priest, Mötley Crüe, and Dokken, the band has crafted a sound rooted in classic hard rock but with a fresh and personal twist.

The band’s debut album, produced by Jimmy Westerlund (One Desire), was filled with hard-hitting, melodic tunes. In 2020, things accelerated for the band as they found a new manager and teamed up with a new producer to bring their vision to life.

Now, their latest release, “Songs Of Yesterday”, produced by Olli Anttila, is the band’s defining statement – a high-energy dose of rock packed with powerful anthems, memorable choruses, infectious guitar solos, and explosive rhythms. It’s a celebration of their influences, but also a testament to their identity and evolution as a modern hard rock force.

“Songs Of Yesterday” Tracklist:

1.    One For All (All For One)
2.    Songs Of Yesterday
3.    Just Like Brothers
4.    Hey Jane
5.    Gone But Never Forgotten
6.    Rollin’ Till The Morning
7.    Open Fire
8.    I Am The One
9.    Gave It All I Got
10.    Fire It Up

Line Up:

NECROTTED Release New Single And Video ‘Fat God’, Feat. Alan from Distant

After the release of their single ‘Deus Ex’ (feat. Sven of Aborted/Coffin Feeder) and their recent tour with Cytotoxin, Swabian death metal heroes Necrotted have dropped another new song ‘Fat God’, featuring Alan of Distant.

Stream ‘Fat God’ here: https://necrotted.bfan.link/fat-god

The band comment on the track and video: “We promised new music for the year 2025 and ‘Deus Ex’ certainly wasn’t everything, as we’re dropping another new song. For ‘Fat God’, we didn’t let ourselves get carried away either and found a duet partner for Fabi in our buddy Alan from Distant, whose inhuman vocals fit perfectly into the overall picture of the new single. We can be seen live at a few festivals over the summer, and we might have ‘Fat God’ on our setlist. So come and party with us!“

‘Fat God’  about a voracious monster worshipped as a god, which allegorically stands for the boundless greed of mankind living under capitalism, which is gradually destroying the basis of its own existence. The new track was recorded by Marco Bayati and mastered by Marco Kollenz. A music video was once again produced by Markus Zabel (Sio Motion).

Melodies that stay in the ear, with at the same time merciless speed and brutality and always a clear political message – this is what the modern death metal band Necrotted from Southern Germany stands for now more than 15 years.

Founded back in 2008, the band from Abtsgmünd (Baden-Wuerttemberg) has since grown to become a notable force in the scene, constantly thrilling their growing fan base and the music press with both their musical releases and their energetic live shows. In the time of their existence, Necrotted have already released four albums with Anchors Apart (2012), Utopia 2.0 (2014), Worldwide Warfare (2017) and Operation: Mental Castration (2021) and two EPs with Kingdom Of Hades (2010) and Die For Something Worthwhile (2019). In addition, the quintet has played hundreds of live concerts over the years on smaller and bigger stages in various countries.

Their latest album Imperium marks another milestone in the band’s history. The LP is once again designed as a concept album and consistently develops the elaborate storyline of its predecessor in a substantial as well as in a visual way. Also, Necrotted continue to tread experimental parts in a musical way. Their proven recipe of melodic guitar riffs, thundering blast beats and oppressive slams is joined by more and more black metal elements. In the lyrics, which are basically written in English, there are also more and more text passages in the German native language, which are performed as usual in banefully deep growls and strident screams. ‘Imperium’ was released in September 2023 via the label Reaper Entertainment and left a resounding echo in the field of contemporary, diversified death metal.

Necrotted are:
Fabian Fink – Vocals
Markus Braun – Drums
Philipp Fink – Guitars
Koray Saglam – Bass
Johannes Wolf – Guitars

ANADREBA Sign with Soundsrock Agency

Soundsrock Agency is thrilled to announce the signing with ANADREBA.

ANADREBA project was born from the mind of Enrico “Zino” Ruzza in the Po Delta, where the echo of the rock ‘n’ roll has never stopped being heard. Anadreba’s sound consists of vocals distorted, pyrotechnic guitars and a granitic rhythm section. A power trio driven by a fiery voice, to tell the stories of a damn true suburbia.

In 2023 Zino decided to take over the project again by putting together a new lineup that features: Aldo Pattaro on drums, Edoardo Tiozzo Fasiolo on lead guitar and Biagio Modena on bass. In August 2023 they participated in the Veneto-Trentino-Friuli Regional Finals of the Sanremo contest. Rock in Fontanelle di Treviso finishing in 2nd place, thus gaining the right to perform at the Finals National Finals in Sanremo at the Ariston Theater on September 6, 2023. Also in 2023, they participated in the Rock Targato Italia contest and were selected for the finals National Finals at Rock ‘n’ Roll in Milan on September 21, 2023. In May 2025 they release their latest single Non Mi Ascolti Mai on all platforms of
music streaming.

Due To Popular Demand ALLY VENABLE Upgrades Edinburgh Concert to La Belle Angele

Due to overwhelming demand, Texas-based blues rock guitarist Ally Venable’s concert at the Voodoo Rooms in Edinburgh on Wednesday October 15th at has been moved to La Belle Angele. Tickets for the upgraded Edinburgh concert are available HERE.

In addition to the Edinburgh concert, Ally’s other October UK tour dates include ManchesterNight & Day (Oct 14), Nottingham Bodega (Oct 16), London Garage (Oct 17), and Sittingbourne, Bourne Music Club (Oct 18).

Tickets for the Manchester, Nottingham and London concerts are available from alltickets.com. Tickets for the Edinburgh concert are available HERE. Tickets for the Sittingbourne are available from Gigantic.com.

Ally’s October 2025 UK tour follows her sixth studio album Money & Power released by Ruf Records on April 18th. The album is available on vinyl, CD and digital HERE.

Watch the official music video for the title track single “Money & Power.”

“Money & Power is such a strong statement, especially for women,” says the award-winning Texas gunslinger of her Nashville-recorded album, on which Ally’s crack-squad band is joined by A-lister guests Shemekia Copeland and Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram.

“All the songs on this album showcase the theme of what it truly means to be a force to be reckoned with. I want this record to wake people up,” continues Ally.

Money and power make the world go round. But in the right hands, music can be every bit as potent. Right now, on the heels of 2023’s acclaimed Real Gone – an album that hit #1 on the Billboard Blues Charts and was still in contention a year later – Ally is rated amongst the best young singer-songwriters in American roots, saluted by Total Guitar magazine in its poll of Top 100 Blues Guitarists.

“With her heels, sequins and Les Paul growling on a leash, she’s one of Ruf’s most head-turning young artists,” wrote Classic Rock, “and while the instrumental prowess can be taken as read, Real Gone marks a growing maturity in the Texan’s songcraft.”

In February 2024, with the dust still settling from Real Gone, the Money & Power sessions saw Ally and producer/drummer Tom Hambridge push through the doors of Nashville’s famous Soundstage Studios. And while the studio band was strictly A-list, as always, Ally’s new songs are the real stars. That attitude is palpable on opener “Brown Liquor,” Ally’s battlecry decorated by a stinging guest guitar solo from the Mississippi hotshot Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram.

“Money & Power shouts to the masses,” she explains, “that women are not to be doubted in their ability to thrive in the world.”

Vital right to the end, Money & Power plays out with “Stepping Stone’s” earthy roar of empowerment, the shuddering, spooky, tremolo-soaked groove of “Feel That Sting,” and the dust-blown rocker “Unbreakable,” where Ally goes toe-to-toe with New York powerhouse Shemekia Copeland.

“That song spreads a message of women that have been oppressed,” she says, “to rise to the occasion and break above it all.”

Money & Power is a modern roots record that plays by its own rules and marches to the beat of its own drum. The same could be said for Ally herself. “I’m thrilled to release this album,” she says. “For me, it’s a sonic embodiment of a woman’s unstoppable ambition, and showcases my musicality on all fronts. I’m looking forward to seeing where this one will take me.”
