MAN WITH A MISSION Announce North & South America 2026 Tour

Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: MAN WITH A MISSION. Leave a comment

Half man, half wolf, all rock phenomenon! MAN WITH A MISSION will embark on the MARKING NEW GROUND tour this May, bringing their high‑octane live show to cities across North and South America.  The Japanese rockers are hitting markets they have never headlined before. Designed as the first step in a bold new chapter for the band, the tour sees the wolfpack deepening their global footprint while connecting with a new generation of fans who discovered them through their iconic anime theme songs.

The May run begins in the United States with a stop in San Francisco on May 14 at August Hall, followed by a special appearance at Los Angeles’ ZIPANGU Festival on May 16. From there, MAN WITH A MISSION heads to Mexico for two long‑awaited dates: Monterrey’s Show Center Complex on May 19 and Mexico City’s legendary Foro Teambro on May 21. The tour then moves further south to Chile for a show at Santiago’s Coliseum Theatre on May 24, before closing out in Brazil at São Paulo’s Carioca Club on May 27.

MARKING NEW GROUND focuses on the breadth of MAN WITH A MISSION’s catalog, spotlighting the songs that have defined their international rise. Central to the live set are three of their most recognizable tracks: “Kizuna no Kiseki,” the explosive collaboration opening theme for Demon Slayer, “Merry‑Go‑Round,” which powered the fifth season of My Hero Academia and “Raise your flag,” the adrenaline‑charged opening theme to Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron‑Blooded Orphans. These songs, along with fan favorites from across their discography, anchor a show built for both die‑hard followers and new fans arriving from the anime world.

Guitarist, vocalist and rapper Jean‑Ken Johnny sees the MARKING NEW GROUND tour as a statement of intent for where MAN WITH A MISSION is headed next. “We are very proud to announce and more than looking forward to this upcoming tour. Hope to see our fellow fans and new friends at each and every country, especially the two new areas which are the first time for us to visit, Chile and Brazil.  Those who always waited for us, those who discovered us recently, thank you all, we are The MAN WITH A MISSION and here we come.”

Consisting of Tokyo Tanaka (vocals), Jean‑Ken Johnny (guitar, vocals, rap), Kamikaze Boy (bass), DJ Santa Monica (DJ) and Spear Rib (drums), MAN WITH A MISSION has grown into one of Asia’s most successful rock exports. Their catalog spans hit singles, EPs and albums that fuse rock, metal, hip‑hop and electronic elements, while their music has featured in films, TV dramas, games, sports broadcasts and global campaigns in addition to anime. With MARKING NEW GROUND, the band are using their hard‑won catalog as a bridge into new territories and future releases, inviting fans to dive deep into their body of work ahead of the shows.

Tickets for all dates on the MARKING NEW GROUND North & South American tour will be available via local ticket outlets; further information, including venue and ticketing details for San Francisco on May 14, will be announced shortly. Fans are encouraged to secure tickets early due to limited capacities and the band’s history of rapid sell‑outs.

INTERNAL DECAY Stream New EP “Fires Of The Forgotten” Ahead of Release

The fire within Swedish cult death metal band Internal Decay burns again. More than 30 years after their legendary classic album A Forgotten Dream (1993), new music arises in the form of a new EP titled Fires Of The Forgotten. The EP will be out on 27th February, 2026 via Hammerheart Records but is already streaming in full via Death Metal Promotion in advance of the release date.

Order Fires Of The Forgotten here: https://internaldecay.lnk.to/firesoftheforgotten

Spawned in 1991, Swedish cult death metal band Internal Decay were an influential presence in the early death metal underground in Stockholm, Sweden, after playing thrash metal under names like Misery and Subliminal Fear since 1987. In 1991 the band entered Twilight Studios to record their eponymous demo. Released in the same year, the tape featured four tracks of raw, unpolished and crude death metal. It immediately gained loads of attention in the underground tape trading community and fanzines, leading to live gig bookings and a record deal.

Through relentless rehearsals and stage shows the band developed the unique brand of eerie, otherworldly melodic death metal that would eventually emerge on the classic 1993 album debut A Forgotten Dream. Recorded at iconic Sunlight Studios in 1992-1993, it was engineered by the legendary Thomas Skogsberg and mixed and produced by Lars Lindén. Despite recording at the literal ground zero of the Stockholm “buzzsaw” sound, the band deliberately moved in another sonic direction, opting for a more atmospheric sound. The album got great responses from the death metal scene and led to more and bigger shows, furthering the bands reputation as a fearsome live act.

Entering the studio again in 1994, Internal Decay recorded the single song ‘Et Cetera Ad Inifitum’ for a metal compilation. That album was never released in the end, and in the following months the band became inactive as the members went separate ways. Individually the members have made an impact in bands like Therion, Epitaph, Deformity, Pandemonic, Stormrider, A Canorous Quintet and Serpentine to name a few.

With a reissue of the debut album out in december 2025, and a new EP Fires Of The Forgotten releasing on Hammerheart Records in February 2026, Internal Decay are back and ready to unleash their distinctive style of darkly melodic death metal upon the world once more.

Founding members Mikael Vega and Kim Blomkvist still helm the band, with Linus Nirbrant joining on bass, Emil Hedman on drums and Björn Sundling on guitar completing the lineup.

Track-list:
1. Fires of the Forgotten (Dance Upon Your Grief)
2. A Demon’s Bow
3. Dying Wish

Line up:
Kim Blomkvist – Vocals
Mikael Vega – Guitar, backing vocals
Björn Sundling – Guitar, backing vocals
Linus Nirbrant – Bass
Emil Hedman – Drums

SYK Release New Drum Playthrough Video for ‘The Cross’

For the past decade, syk have been relentless in their pursuit of innovation. The Italian band’s latest album doesn’t just push the envelope of progressive, groove-laden death metal. eartHFlesh tears it apart.

“This has to be a contender for ‘album of the year’”, Metal Temple wrote in 2024 upon sinking its teeth into eartHFlesh.

Today, syk are releasing a new drum playthrough for “the Cross”, one of the most concentrated displays of technical prowess and dynamic evolution on eartHFlesh. The song channels a sharp tech-death attitude on top of drummer Federico Leone’s groove-driven foundation. Leone balances restraint and escalation, reinforcing the hypnotic core of the riff while gradually introducing complexity through layered accents, shifting subdivisions and dynamic control.

“I chose The Cross for this playthrough because it shows how drum arrangements can shape and drive a song built around a hypnotic, obsessive riff”, Leone says. “The goal during the writing process was to create evolution and tension through subtle variations, adding new layers without taking space away from the guitars, before pushing into some of the fastest and most intense sections I’ve recorded, including high-speed double bass and blast work.”

eartHFlesh is out now on Season of Mist. Order & Stream: https://orcd.co/sykearthfleshpresave

Catch syk in their native Italy this weekend.

February 27 – Siracusa, IT @ Sonica Cicolo Arci
February 28 – Paermo, IT @ Mind House

Tracklist:

1. I Am The Beast (6:02)
2. Where I Am Going There Is No Light (5:54)
3. I’ll Haunt You In Your Dreams (6:08)
4. eartHFlesh (05:42)
5. The Sermon (5:06)
6. The Cross (3:50)
7. For To Themselves I Left Them (4:20)
8. The Passing (8:14)
Total runtime: 45:17

syk is a metal band that came into existence in 2013 when Stefano Ferrian and Federico De Bernardi di Valserra decided to embark on a new musical venture following the disbandment of their previous project, .psychofagist. They were soon joined by the immensely talented vocalist Dalila Kayros, whose vocal skills left a deep impression on the band during live performances.

In May 2014, syk released their debut album titled Atoma through L’Inphantile Collective. The album caught the attention of Philip H Anselmo from Housecore Records, who not only expressed his appreciation for the band’s work but also offered them a deal for their second album. This second album, titled I-Optikon, was released on December 2, 2016, and was produced by Philip H Anselmo himself. The album was notable for its technical compositions that offered a unique and unparalleled listening experience, as Metal Trenches aptly described it.

Following the release of their second album, the band welcomed their long-time friend Marcello Cravini as a permanent member, taking on the role of the second guitarist. syk subsequently embarked on extensive tours across Europe in 2017 and 2018 and had the honour of being the official support act for GODFLESH during their Italian/Slovenian run in May 2018. Additionally, they also participated in the prestigious Roadburn Festival in the same year, further cementing their reputation as a promising metal act.

In 2019, Federico made the difficult decision to leave the band due to personal reasons, and shortly after, the global pandemic hit, disrupting the band’s search for a new drummer. However, towards the end of 2020, Mauro Maraldo joined syk as their new drummer, and with their lineup complete, they wasted no time in entering the studio to record their third album. This album, titled Pyramiden, was released on March 11th, 2022, through Housecore Records/Nuclear Blast. The album’s distinct and powerful character earned syk high praise, with MetalheadCommunity recognizing them as one of the most promising metal acts of the time.

Pyramiden received further acclaim when it was included in the ProgSpace Awards 2022 under the category of ‘Album of the Year 2022/Extreme Prog Category’, alongside esteemed acts like Fallujah, Allegaeon, Cult of Luna, and Conjurer. Unfortunately, soon after the album’s release, both Mauro and Dalila had to depart from the band due to personal reasons.

However, syk, known for their sonic evolution, decided to press on. Founding members Stefano and Marcello continued working on their fourth album while actively searching for new members. Alan La Roca joined the band as the bass player, solidifying the lineup, but the search for a drummer remained a challenge. It wasn’t until Federico Leone answered their call that the band found their new drummer. With the lineup in place consisting of Stefano Ferrian as the new frontman, guitarist, and main songwriter, Marcello Cravini on guitars, Alan La Roca on bass, and Federico Leone on drums, syk took on a new form.

In early 2023, syk caught the attention of Season Of Mist, who signed them for the release of their fourth album, eartHFlesh. This album not only marks the band’s latest offering but also signifies their first decade as a band. With a reinvigorated sound and an intensified sonic progression, syk continues to captivate listeners and solidify their place in the metal scene.

NECROCCULTUS Announce New Album “The Afterdeath Blackness”, Out April 24th

Posted by tarjavirmakari on February 25, 2026

Mexican death metal veterans NECROCCULTUS are set to make their triumphant return with their new full-length album “The Afterdeath Blackness”, scheduled for release on April 24th, 2026 via Terror From Hell Records.

Proud standard-bearers of the purest and most solemn death metal tradition, NECROCCULTUS return with a record that both honors and revitalizes the genre’s roots. Forged through years of underground militancy and unwavering dedication to the death metal cause, the band channels its accumulated experience into an album that feels timeless yet fiercely alive. “The Afterdeath Blackness” stands as a statement of intent: death metal in its most essential, uncompromising form.

Across eight tracks, the album showcases everything that has defined NECROCCULTUS since their inception: massive riffs, carefully crafted songwriting and a dark atmosphere rooted in ritualistic heaviness. The compositions are elaborate without ever becoming self-indulgent, balancing complexity with raw impact and maintaining a natural flow that keeps the listener immersed from beginning to end. A constant sense of menace runs through the record, while a subtle veil of epic grandeur elevates the material beyond mere brutality.

Rather than chasing trends or modern gimmicks, NECROCCULTUS embrace the spirit of classic death metal, filtering it through decades of underground commitment and artistic growth. The result is an album that sounds both reverent and commanding, a work that speaks directly to devoted followers of the old ways while reaffirming the band’s place among today’s torchbearers of authentic death metal.

The first single “Dread Midnight Entities” is now streaming HERE.

Tracklist:

I. Intro (The Highest Sphere Of The Dead)
II. Slaughter Of Bestiality
III. Transition To The Tortuous Reign
IV. Unburied Hellish Presences
V. Dread Midnight Entities
VI. Multiform Devourer Of Souls
VII. Old Coffin Miasma
VIII. The Afterdeath Blackness

NECROCCULTUS was formed in 2003 as a five-piece band consisting of César (guitar), Omar (bass), Chago (guitar), Daniel (drums), and Isaías (growls). During the following three years, this original line-up recorded several releases, including the brutal full-length “Encircling The Mysterious Necrorevelation” (2005) for Sempiternal Productions (US), a 7” EP for Blood Harvest Records (Sweden), a three-way split CD with Sanctifier and Throneum on Warfuck Records (Colombia), and a split LP with Shub-Niggurath released by Iron Bonehead Productions (Germany).

Between 2006 and 2009, the band went through a series of line-up changes while continuing to perform live. Among their most notable appearances was “Glorifying the Great Beast” in 2009, where they shared the stage in Berlin, Germany, with bands such as Necros Christos, Kaamos, Graveyard, and others.

In 2012, NECROCCULTUS recorded another 12” EP, “Solemnelohim, Bringer Of Death”, once again released via Blood Harvest Records. Further line-up changes followed, and in 2020 the band unleashed the demo “Unburied Hellish Presences”, released by the Italian label Unholy Domain Records. Shortly after, due to the global pandemic, the band disbanded.

In 2024, founding member Isaías H. reactivated NECROCCULTUS alongside a new line-up: Roel (guitar), Néstor (bass), Alex (guitar), Dante (drums), and Isaías (growls). After performing several live shows, the band entered the studio between July and October 2025 to record their new abominable full-length, “The Afterdeath Blackness”, featuring eight tracks of bestial, unholy death metal.

Roel – Guitar
Alex – Guitar

DRUDKH Announce New EP “Thaw” + Share Lead Single ‘Memory’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on February 25, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: DRUDKH. Leave a comment

Ukrainian atmospheric black metal entity DRUDKH announce their forthcoming EP Thaw with the release of its lead single, “Memory.” Conceived during the same sessions as 2025’s Shadow Play, the new EP stands as a direct continuation of that album’s emotional and thematic landscape.

Rather than marking a departure, “Memory” extends the introspective current established previously. Running just over seven minutes, the track unfolds with deliberate pacing and sustained atmosphere. Its title suggests persistence rather than nostalgia, an emotional residue that remains present beneath the surface. Suspended melodies and restrained repetition guide the composition forward, reflecting the EP’s central image of thawing as fragile transition.

Thaw is best understood as a transitional release in the most literal sense. Recorded during the same creative period as Shadow Play, it shares its spirit and atmosphere, functioning as a distilled appendix rather than an independent statement. Across three tracks, the EP explores liminality, inner exile, and the quiet instability of change. “Memory” serves as its entry point, embodying the tension between stasis and subtle movement that defines this release.

Thaw is out April 24th via Season of Mist: Underground Activists. Pre-order & pre-save: https://orcd.co/drudkhthaw

Tracklist:

  1. Memory (07:07)
  2. Somewhere, Sometime (05:51)
  3. A Moment in Eternity (07:02)
    Full runtime: 20:10

Born from the whispering winds and the brooding landscapes of Ukraine, a realm steeped in history and draped in the enigma of folklore, emerges DRUDKH – a beacon of profound expression in the vast expanse of black metal. In their essence, DRUDKH are the custodians of a narrative, combining atmospheric and pagan influences into a mesmerizing portrayal of their homeland’s soul. Their journey is one of introspection, seeking to create music that evoke a profound emotional resonance that stirs the depths of the human experience.

With the unfolding of Shadow Play, their latest album, DRUDKH invites the listener into a realm where the boundaries between the corporeal and the ethereal blur. This album emerges as an ode to the contrasting forces that shape existence: light against shadow, silence against storm, ephemeral beauty against the decay of oblivion. A story untold, exploring themes of exile, the cycle of life and death, and the perpetual yearning for a return to origins—both personal and collective.

Through Shadow Play, DRUDKH transcends the conventional expectations of music, engaging in a dialogue that is both personal and universal. They challenge us to confront our own shadows, to find beauty in desolation, and to appreciate the intricate dance of light and darkness that defines our existence. This album is another chapter in DRUDKH’s storied discography – it represents an invigorated exploration into the myriad facets of human emotion, the relentless pursuit of truth, and the undying passion for unearthing the hidden threads that connect us to the past.

In the wake of Shadow Play, DRUDKH extend this same creative breath with Thaw, a three-track EP recorded during the album’s sessions and conceived within the same emotional horizon. Rather than opening a new chapter, it lingers within the existing one, offering a quieter, more concentrated meditation on transition and inner exile. If the album traced the tension between shadow and illumination, Thaw inhabits the fragile interval between stillness and movement, where change begins almost imperceptibly beneath a frozen surface. In doing so, it reinforces the coherence of this period in DRUDKH’s work, deepening its atmosphere and affirming continuity over rupture.

DRUDKH continues to illuminate the path for those who dare to wander, to question, and to dream.

All lineup, production, mixing & mastering information is not published.
