The Browning unleash their signature brand of rave metal in a relentless fusion of deathcore, industrial metal, and metalcore. The Browning is an electronic metal band founded by Jonny McBee as a solo project in 2005. In 2010 The Browning transitioned into a full band and has toured the world with bands such as Electric Callboy, Static X, Fear Factory, and We Came As Romans. They’ve put out two EPs Standing On The Edge EP (2010), Time Will Tell EP (2011), and five albums, Burn This World (2011) Hypernova (2013), Isolation (2016), Geist (2018), and End Of Existence (2021). The Browning’s current lineup is Jonny McBee and Hardcore Keem. The Browning has consistently pushed the boundaries of music, fusing genres and redefining heavy sounds. The band’s new line-up sets the stage for an electrifying chapter in their journey. In 2011 on their full-length debut Burn This World, The Browning expanded the boundaries of heavy music through a seamless fusion of industrial, electronic, rock, and metal. In 2013 Hypernova represented a high watermark for the band. Named ‘Album of the Week’ by Revolver, it yielded the signature anthem “Bloodlust,” which clocked over 2.6 million views and nearly 2 million streams.
In 2016, they reached another level with Isolation, earning acclaim from outlets such as New Noise Magazine and generating millions of views between “Dragon” and “Disconnect.” The fourth full-length album, Geist, released in 2018, would push The Browning even further into the boundaries of heavy music with added deathcore and techno influences. End Of Existence released in 2021 would go on to receive generally positive reviews with Dom Lawson of Blabbermouth.net saying, “As ever, if the idea of metal mixed with EDM gives you violent facial tics and a sense of impending doom, End of Existence makes no attempt to make amends or win you over. And nor should it. The Browning have spent a decade pursuing an eccentric and polarizing path, and they still sound like a flash of inspiration brought to life.”
The Browning officially signed to FiXT in late 2023, after collaborating with the label for several years, creating two official remixes for Celldweller and signing a merchandise deal. The band has since released three well received singles with the FiXT. “Poison” which scored placements on Pandora’s AMP: Fresh Cuts, Industrial Metal, New Metal, This year In Metal, New Metal Now; Spotify’s All New Metal,, as well as featured on the WWE. The single currently sits on over 1.5 million streams alone on Spotify since its release. “HIVEMIND” would go on to score placements on Spotify’s All New Metal, New Flesh (Knotfest), and The Core, as well as VEVO’s Incoming Metal. “Deceiver” hit Pandora’s New Metal Now, New Metal (Station), This Year In Metal; Deezer’s Killed By Metal, Deathcore, and Metal Radar, and; Spotify’s All New Metal.
Their sixth full length album OMNI released in November of 2024 followed by OMNI [ULTRA] in 2025. 2025 was an active year for the band with The Browning touring continuously throughout the year, jumping into 2026 following the same trend, with the The Burn This World [EVOLVED] V2 USA 2026 Tour with DEADLANDS, THE CRIMSON ARMADA, EXTORTIONIST, and BLIND EQUATION running August 27th through September 25 and the EU Fall Tour 2026 with WITHIN DESTRUCTION and ABBIE FALLS.
Jonny McBee, vocalist, and songwriter for The Browning, is a trailblazing presence in the metal scene. He is also known for his role as the host and operator of the “Burn This World Podcast,” which is set to make its triumphant return this Fall. Jonny is set to embark on a parallel journey, launching a groundbreaking new side project: THE DEFECT.

Phil Soussan announces his new EP COSMO FIGHTER PART ONE, to be released on BraveWords Records on November 13th. COSMO FIGHTER is no ordinary album. It will be unleashed as a trilogy of three EP’s (Parts 1, 2, and 3). The first single and video for the track “Fading Out” is available now. All pre-orders of the new EP on Bandcamp will be able to immediately download the first single. The first single, “Fading Out” brings to the surface a sequencer styled bass line, a magnetic guitar riff, and a time change in the chorus that you neither expect nor understand. And the message that whoever chooses to oppress will one day become “faded out” themselves.
COSMO FIGHTER is a sonic roller coaster that forces us to reconfigure how we see the world. While it treats the listener with fierce respect, it plants subtle, haunting questions that linger long after the music fades. By the final track, the album clears out the background noise of modern society, leaving a profound, open mental space ready to be repopulated with life’s true harmony.
Written, performed, produced, and mixed entirely by Phil, other than a few guest appearances, it was born from an unexpected moment of silence. Finding himself off the road and on a rare hiatus, he felt an aggressive creative pull, an inspiration calling him to once again venture boldly into the labyrinths of creativity.
“I started pulling from a vast reservoir of embryonic ideas,” he says. “Looking around, I saw a world with no shortage of things about which to write. Pacing back and forth I had felt angry at the world, but I wasn’t mad at it. I certainly didn’t want to sound patronizing, but I had this urge to inspire people to wake up and realize that all truths rest in our own intelligence.”
The spark ignited a brilliant concept: a reality check delivered from the perspective of someone who has just returned from the future — THE COSMO FIGHTER.
“I’m not talking Sci-Fi here! …maybe only two or three years into the future” Phil clarifies. “The Cosmo Fighter comes back into the present to recount what he has seen. Not that long ago, we were all so optimistic about what technology would bring to our lives. This character shows us that things will not always turn out as we imagine. It is entirely up to us to create our own destiny.”
“I put everything I could into these songs; pure thought at first can seem uncomfortable, like you are confronting hidden feelings and doubts, but as these ideas developed, they became purely honest. For more than forty years, legendary bassist, songwriter, and producer Phil Soussan has laid the sonic foundation upon which global rock-and-roll royalty has built its towers.
British born singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and performer Phil Soussan has been involved in music since his school years in London, where he excelled studying classical violin and composition. His most notable memory of those days was performing at a private classical concert for HRH Queen Elizabeth II.
Since then from rock and metal, to commercial and mainstream, Phil has worked with some of the biggest names in music and has earned himself a stellar reputation. Named by Mike Varney of Shrapnel Records as “the most underrated bass player in the rock/blues world” he has played with a who’s who of artists. As such he has been the driving force alongside titans such as Ozzy Osbourne, Jimmy Page, Billy Idol, Vince Neil, Johnny Hallyday, Steve Lukather, Edgar Winter, and John Waite.
As a songwriter, he is the master craftsman behind Ozzy Osbourne’s mega-hit “Shot in the Dark”, he co-wrote Vince Neil’s first solo album Exposed, and co-wrote guitarist Steve Lukatherʼs solo album, LUKE. He followed that success by writing and arranging “After You’re Gone”, the opening track for Toto on their Mindfields album, which earned a Grammy nomination.
“As a member of Simon Kirke’s band on Swan Song Records we were managed by Peter Grant; that connection led to an invitation for me to play with Jimmy Page, who was in the process of igniting what was to become The Firm. After a one-off live TV appearance with an unrelated artist I received a call from Ozzy asking me to audition for his band. That was an enviable yet tough decision, whether to continue with Jimmy or to embark on a chapter with the great Ozzy!”
With that commenced a remarkable rock’n’roll rollercoaster ride. Submitting the song “Shot in the Dark” as a last-minute addition to The Ultimate Sin album, no-one could have been prepared for the ensuing success. A Top-Ten single for many weeks on the Rock Charts, six months at #2 on the MTV music charts, a double platinum album and quite possibly the biggest tour of Ozzy’s career, Phil found himself performing to many thousands of new generation Ozzy fans in sold out arenas world-wide. The now 150-million Spotify streamed song crossed Ozzy over into the mainstream, bringing Metal to the commercial masses, and the rest became history.
Jumping forward, and while currently anchoring the sensational rock band LAST IN LINE in, Phil is turning the page on his most ambitious chapter yet.

The French metal opera adventurers AVALAND reveal their new single “Face The Eternal” (out: August 28) from their upcoming album “Chemical Poetry” (coming: October 30). The thrilling track thrusts the grand AVALAND lore into the next dramatic part of their fantasy story. Musically, the single balances heavy storytelling with classic features. Infused with mystical vibes and an ‘80s sound – including a blistering synth solo by Joost van den Broek as well as the band’s trademark choir arrangements– the track takes listeners straight into the heart of the legend. “I think it’s really fun that you can find both a lot of ‘80s and melodic death metal inspiration in this song. When we had the first demos of the album, that was maybe the weakest track. But when we found this idea of bringing some Melodeath riffing and atmosphere to it, it radically changed into a heavy and headbanging song. It really represents that soft point we wanted for this album between old-school and modern metal,” vocalist Adrien describes.
In this dark phase of the narrative, protagonist Aylan Wilstorm finds himself in a path-breaking confrontation with Death in the Necrolands. In the rich lore of AVALAND, Death is a daughter of Time (who listeners were introduced to as a main character in the last singles “Sail On”, “Destiny Call” and “Faded Away”). “Death is no tyrant, but a gentle guide.
