NECROCCULTUS Announce New Album “The Afterdeath Blackness”, Out April 24th

Mexican death metal veterans NECROCCULTUS are set to make their triumphant return with their new full-length album “The Afterdeath Blackness”, scheduled for release on April 24th, 2026 via Terror From Hell Records.

Proud standard-bearers of the purest and most solemn death metal tradition, NECROCCULTUS return with a record that both honors and revitalizes the genre’s roots. Forged through years of underground militancy and unwavering dedication to the death metal cause, the band channels its accumulated experience into an album that feels timeless yet fiercely alive. “The Afterdeath Blackness” stands as a statement of intent: death metal in its most essential, uncompromising form.

Across eight tracks, the album showcases everything that has defined NECROCCULTUS since their inception: massive riffs, carefully crafted songwriting and a dark atmosphere rooted in ritualistic heaviness. The compositions are elaborate without ever becoming self-indulgent, balancing complexity with raw impact and maintaining a natural flow that keeps the listener immersed from beginning to end. A constant sense of menace runs through the record, while a subtle veil of epic grandeur elevates the material beyond mere brutality.

Rather than chasing trends or modern gimmicks, NECROCCULTUS embrace the spirit of classic death metal, filtering it through decades of underground commitment and artistic growth. The result is an album that sounds both reverent and commanding, a work that speaks directly to devoted followers of the old ways while reaffirming the band’s place among today’s torchbearers of authentic death metal.

The first single “Dread Midnight Entities” is now streaming HERE.

Tracklist:

I. Intro (The Highest Sphere Of The Dead)
II. Slaughter Of Bestiality
III. Transition To The Tortuous Reign
IV. Unburied Hellish Presences
V. Dread Midnight Entities
VI. Multiform Devourer Of Souls
VII. Old Coffin Miasma
VIII. The Afterdeath Blackness

NECROCCULTUS was formed in 2003 as a five-piece band consisting of César (guitar), Omar (bass), Chago (guitar), Daniel (drums), and Isaías (growls). During the following three years, this original line-up recorded several releases, including the brutal full-length “Encircling The Mysterious Necrorevelation” (2005) for Sempiternal Productions (US), a 7” EP for Blood Harvest Records (Sweden), a three-way split CD with Sanctifier and Throneum on Warfuck Records (Colombia), and a split LP with Shub-Niggurath released by Iron Bonehead Productions (Germany).

Between 2006 and 2009, the band went through a series of line-up changes while continuing to perform live. Among their most notable appearances was “Glorifying the Great Beast” in 2009, where they shared the stage in Berlin, Germany, with bands such as Necros Christos, Kaamos, Graveyard, and others.

In 2012, NECROCCULTUS recorded another 12” EP, “Solemnelohim, Bringer Of Death”, once again released via Blood Harvest Records. Further line-up changes followed, and in 2020 the band unleashed the demo “Unburied Hellish Presences”, released by the Italian label Unholy Domain Records. Shortly after, due to the global pandemic, the band disbanded.

In 2024, founding member Isaías H. reactivated NECROCCULTUS alongside a new line-up: Roel (guitar), Néstor (bass), Alex (guitar), Dante (drums), and Isaías (growls). After performing several live shows, the band entered the studio between July and October 2025 to record their new abominable full-length, “The Afterdeath Blackness”, featuring eight tracks of bestial, unholy death metal.

Line-up:

Roel – Guitar
Alex – Guitar
Néstor – Bass

DRUDKH Announce New EP “Thaw” + Share Lead Single ‘Memory’

Ukrainian atmospheric black metal entity DRUDKH announce their forthcoming EP Thaw with the release of its lead single, “Memory.” Conceived during the same sessions as 2025’s Shadow Play, the new EP stands as a direct continuation of that album’s emotional and thematic landscape.

Rather than marking a departure, “Memory” extends the introspective current established previously. Running just over seven minutes, the track unfolds with deliberate pacing and sustained atmosphere. Its title suggests persistence rather than nostalgia, an emotional residue that remains present beneath the surface. Suspended melodies and restrained repetition guide the composition forward, reflecting the EP’s central image of thawing as fragile transition.

Thaw is best understood as a transitional release in the most literal sense. Recorded during the same creative period as Shadow Play, it shares its spirit and atmosphere, functioning as a distilled appendix rather than an independent statement. Across three tracks, the EP explores liminality, inner exile, and the quiet instability of change. “Memory” serves as its entry point, embodying the tension between stasis and subtle movement that defines this release.

Thaw is out April 24th via Season of Mist: Underground Activists. Pre-order & pre-save: https://orcd.co/drudkhthaw

Tracklist:

  1. Memory (07:07)
  2. Somewhere, Sometime (05:51)
  3. A Moment in Eternity (07:02)
    Full runtime: 20:10

Born from the whispering winds and the brooding landscapes of Ukraine, a realm steeped in history and draped in the enigma of folklore, emerges DRUDKH – a beacon of profound expression in the vast expanse of black metal. In their essence, DRUDKH are the custodians of a narrative, combining atmospheric and pagan influences into a mesmerizing portrayal of their homeland’s soul. Their journey is one of introspection, seeking to create music that evoke a profound emotional resonance that stirs the depths of the human experience.

With the unfolding of Shadow Play, their latest album, DRUDKH invites the listener into a realm where the boundaries between the corporeal and the ethereal blur. This album emerges as an ode to the contrasting forces that shape existence: light against shadow, silence against storm, ephemeral beauty against the decay of oblivion. A story untold, exploring themes of exile, the cycle of life and death, and the perpetual yearning for a return to origins—both personal and collective.

Through Shadow Play, DRUDKH transcends the conventional expectations of music, engaging in a dialogue that is both personal and universal. They challenge us to confront our own shadows, to find beauty in desolation, and to appreciate the intricate dance of light and darkness that defines our existence. This album is another chapter in DRUDKH’s storied discography – it represents an invigorated exploration into the myriad facets of human emotion, the relentless pursuit of truth, and the undying passion for unearthing the hidden threads that connect us to the past.

In the wake of Shadow Play, DRUDKH extend this same creative breath with Thaw, a three-track EP recorded during the album’s sessions and conceived within the same emotional horizon. Rather than opening a new chapter, it lingers within the existing one, offering a quieter, more concentrated meditation on transition and inner exile. If the album traced the tension between shadow and illumination, Thaw inhabits the fragile interval between stillness and movement, where change begins almost imperceptibly beneath a frozen surface. In doing so, it reinforces the coherence of this period in DRUDKH’s work, deepening its atmosphere and affirming continuity over rupture.

DRUDKH continues to illuminate the path for those who dare to wander, to question, and to dream.

All lineup, production, mixing & mastering information is not published.

GINGER EVIL Unveil New Video ‘Not Your Fool’ from Debut Album

Finnish female-fronted rock sensations Ginger Evil unveil today their new single, “Not Your Fool”, along with an official video, available below. The track is taken from their debut album, “The Way It Burns”, out via Frontiers Music Srl.

The band stated: “We’ve entered the songwriting phase for our upcoming album, but to celebrate our very first shows in Germany, we wanted to drop a video for “Not Your Fool” from our debut record. We believe our music is always relevant – especially to those hearing it for the first time. Maybe this will open the door for new listeners into the world of Ginger Evil”.

“Not Your Fool” is more than just a song; it’s our final word to the games, the cheating, and the people who mistook our patience for weakness. We’re scraping the past off our boots and starting a blaze that will burn through the night – turning the debris of a broken relationship into the fuel for our future. See you at the shows!”, they added.

Order “The Way It Burns” HERE

Ginger Evil began as Moonshine Inc. in 2005, in a rehearsal room in Helsinki, Finland. After a couple of years of rehearsal and composing, a fruitless search for a singer meant the songs were put on ice.
Meanwhile, guitarist Tomi Julkunen and bassist Veli Palevaara continued gigging in Finland with The Milestones, including arena shows with Deep Purple and Whitesnake. In the aftermath of their fifth album, those Moonshine Inc. songs from a decade back emerged from hibernation, so the search began again for a vocalist.

The powerful voice of Ella Tepponen was known to Tomi and Veli from many theatre and music projects, and drummer Toni Mustonen was already familiar to everyone. Jamming together found a shared musical passion, and a group creative process soon flourished. Ginger Evil was born.

“From Foo Fighters to Fleetwood Mac”, is how the band hears their music, with singer Ella bringing a whole new kind of twist to their rock expression. Once the band got together and songs were taking shape, on board jumped music producer and film director Richard Stanley, known for his work with The Who and John Lennon, heard demos of Ginger Evil and was inspired to co-write lyrics.

In 2022 Ginger Evil signed a deal with Frontiers Music Srl. (Def Leppard, Lynyrd Skynyrd, TOTO, Whitesnake, Skunk Anansie). Debut album “The Way It Burns” was released on February 14, 2025. Organic and fresh sounding album was something that rock fans had been waiting for since the 90’s; something familiar, something new, something that got their asses shaking once more!

German melodic death metal band ABROGATION unveil their second single “Spieglein, Spieglein”, taken from the upcoming studio album “Widerschein”, set for release on April 10, 2026 [new release date!] via Massacre Records.

Following the powerful and cinematic first single “Morgenrot”, the band now present one of the album’s most intense and emotionally layered compositions, accompanied by a striking lyric video.

“Spieglein, Spieglein” marks the first of three songs on “Widerschein” featuring the remarkable guest vocalist Jyl, whose expressive and haunting performance adds a dramatic new dimension to the band’s sound. Her vocal presence deepens the internal dialogue at the heart of the track, creating a gripping contrast between fragility and cruelty.

The song unfolds as a melodramatic inner confrontation between vulnerability and the harsh façade built to conceal weakness. As the tension escalates, the narrative spirals toward inevitable self-destruction – a theme mirrored in the dynamic interplay between melodic intensity and crushing riffs.

Musically, “Spieglein, Spieglein” highlights ABROGATION’s evolution on “Widerschein”: tighter structures, heightened emotional depth and an expanded sonic palette, while staying firmly rooted in their melodic death metal identity.

Evermore has released “Ravens At The Gates”, second single taken from the new album “Mournbraid” to be released on March 20 by Scarlet Records.

“Ravens At The Gates” is both a song that touches on historical problems in human society as well as a call-to-arms kind of rallying cry for those who choose to stand defiant against the injustice. The song opposes ideals or it may address the result of fearing your fellow man because they are different. In the end, the song may convey either a burning desire for defiance and change or a feeling of unity and uprising.

“Mournbraid”:

  • produced by Marcus Alfsson at MWC Studios and mastered by Svante at Chartmakers West;
  • illustrated by Alvaro Valverde/AV Art Ilustracion (Elvenking, Unanimated, Verikalpa);

The third record for the Swedish masters of power metal, “Mournbraid” delivers the trademark Evermore sound made of aggressive guitar riffs, soaring epic vocals and unforgettable strong hooks – all amplified by a massive neat production.

Master of ardour and melody perfectly blended together, the Scandinavian trio further refined its pretty unique songwriting and lyrical touch. Each song of the album tells a different story from the perspective of individuals experiencing the diversity of existence’s challenges and feelings of personal struggles.

As always in Evermore’s music, the end goal is to make the listener relate to the music on a very deep personal level.
