Seven long years since their latest studio offering, North German power metal collective MOB RULES returns with their eagerly awaited new album, entitled “Rise Of The Ruler”, that is slated for a release on August 22nd via ROAR.

The follow-up to 2018’s successful album “Beast Reborn” (which reached a sensational #37 in the German and #59 in the Swiss album charts) is not only a work brimming with creativity, wit and quality, but also the conceptual continuation of their two early albums “Savage Land” (1999) and “Temple Of Two Suns” (2000), with which MOB RULES laid the foundation for their career. Both albums are linked by an exciting concept story about life in a dystopian, hostile end-time world in which resources are becoming scarce. This is exactly where the band’s new offering “Rise Of The Ruler” comes in and keyboardist Jan Christian Halfbrodt (who is responsible for all the lyrics) continues the thread.

After previously-released songs, “Back To Savage Land” and “Future Loom”, today, MOB RULES are  premiering an epic video clip for their new single “Trial and Trail of Fear”! Listen to the track now streaming on all digital providers at: https://mobrules.rpm.link/tatofPR

“The song ‘Trial and Trail of Fear’ is based on lumbering heavy metal riffs and creates an epic atmosphere,” comments singer Klaus Dirks. “Lyrically, it deals with a scenario that many can relate to: one knows the feeling of diving headfirst into a new challenge, only to feel completely overwhelmed and fighting with all one’s might to keep going.”

Once again, the band’s forthcoming magnum opus “Rise Of The Ruler” was mixed and mastered by the experienced hands of Markus Teske (Vanden Plas, The New Roses etc.). After “My Sobriety Mind” (from the “Beast Reborn” album), MOB RULES also collaborated again with singer Ulli Perhonen (Snow White Blood), which is reflected in the beautiful duet of the song “On The Trail”.

After “Beast Reborn” (2018), the live album “Beast Over Europe” (2019) and the anniversary compilation “Celebration Days – 30 Years Of Mob Rules” released in 2024, the Northern Lights are finally back with a powerful new studio album that marks another milestone in their extensive career!

In addition to the eleven-track standard album (available as CD digipak and colored vinyl), MOB RULES have also been working on a very special fan item over the last few months: The limited earbook edition of “Rise Of The Ruler” comes with an exclusive bonus CD containing five additional, brand new songs, as well as a spoken version of the concept story, an alternative version of “Dawn Of Second Sun” and the two video clips for “Back To Savage Land” and “Dawn Of Second Sun”! The large-format, hardcover book-style 48-page earbook extensively documents the creation of the album, video shoot, photo shoot and provides insights into the concept story.

July 11, 2025 will see rising melodic heavy metal force FRONT ROW WARRIORS unleash their much-awaited, sophomore studio album, entitled “Running Out Of Time”, slated for release via the band’s powerhouse label ROAR. Coming as CD, Vinyl and Digital formats, the album pre-sale is available at: https://frontrowwarriors.rpm.link/rootalbumPR

Following previously-released singles, “Turn the Tide” and the album title track, today, FRONT ROW WARRIORS are premiering a video clip for their unique cover version of Pat Benatar’s breakthrough single “Heartbreaker”, originally released in 1979.

“I immediately fell in love with “Heartbreaker” and Pat Benatar’s voice, many songs came and went, but “Heartbreaker” never lost its fascination for me and it always appealed to me not only to cover this over-number, but to put it in a “new” guise”, says FRONT ROW WARRIORS singer Elkie Gee.

“In the end, we gave the song our very own Front Row Warriors mix – energetic rocking from the heart, with a dash of metal and ingenious keyboard harmonies, and as the icing on the cake, there’s a brand-new live video to go with it, freely adapted from Gustav Mahler: “In every performance, the work must be reborn”. “

“Heartbreaker” is now streaming on all digital services at: https://frontrowwarriors.rpm.link/heartbreakerPR

Founded in 2019, FRONT ROW WARRIORS has already caused quite a stir in 2023 with their debut “Wheel Of Fortune” and was showered with praise by critics. The German Rock and Pop Musicians Association even named the debut album „Hard Rock Album of the Year 2023“. The 80s hard rock, with a pinch of AOR and melodic metal from the 90s, went down fantastically straight away, which is not only due to singer Elkie Gee, who has a remarkable range and stands out from the crowd with her vocal color.

All of the band members in FRONT ROW WARRIORS are no strangers in the scene. Sorin Badin and Stef Binnig-Gollub on guitars are former musicians from Samsara and Septagon, while Richie Seibel, who is also a member of Ivanhoe and Them, plays the keys. The bass is played by Timo Michels (ex-Pump) and the drums by Jay G. (ex-Sharon). The band played a number of concerts and festivals in 2024 and performed on stage with the likes of Treat, Vicious Rumors, Riot V, Victory, Axxis and Shakra. Since March 2024, guitarist Dominik Barth (ex-Illusoria) has replaced Sorin Badin, who had to step back for family reasons, but has been working in the background on the studio and fine-tuning the songs.

Their new album “Running Out Of Time”, once again with none other than Achim Köhler (Primal Fear, Brainstorm a.o.) at the controls and co-produced by Michael Bormann, features some real bangers and impressively proves that the band also feels at home in metal. Lovers of delicate guitar and keyboard work as well as melodic hooks will get their money‘s worth, as will fans of the heavier genre. FRONT ROW WARRIORS once again skilfully play with the genres to produce a colorful bouquet of fabulous songs with guaranteed catchy tunes and surprising moments!

Black Majesty has released a video for “Oceans Of Black”, titletrack and third single taken from the new album to be released on June 20 by Scarlet Records.

Amid the despair of society, a good soul is often lost in a world filled with corruption and evil. Yet, an inner voice – shaped by his upbringing – reminds him to keep fighting and to rise above the darkness. Though he may stumble at times, that voice will always guide him, offering a path away from his downfall and toward a better life. Ultimately, it is his choice to embrace that guidance and, in doing so, he can overcome the demons of his past and emerge victorious.

ADEPT Unveil Explosive New Single + Official Music Video ‘You’

Swedish metalcore heavyweights ADEPT continue their triumphant return unleashing the heartfelt and groovy hook-laden new anthem “YOU” alongside an official music video. Following the release of their crushing comeback single “Heaven”, which marked their first new music in nearly nine years, “YOU” dives deep into the emotional wreckage of love lost, with swelling, cathartic guitar leads and honest, bleeding heart lyricism.

The band first re-emerged in 2024 with a breathtaking live appearance at Core Fest in Stuttgart, Germany, igniting the stage, and thrilling fans with a powerful display of fury and fire. Now with two new singles under their comeback belt, ADEPT has their foot on the gas, and show no signs of slowing.

This new visual arrives on the heels of ADEPT’s recent announcement of their “20 Year Anniversary Tour”, marking two decades of explosive live shows and heavy-hitting anthems. The tour features an extensive run across major cities in Europe and the UK, kicking off in Berlin, Germany on November 27. Tickets are on sale now, so grab yours before they’re gone!

Watch the official music video for “YOU” below, and don’t miss this chance to experience ADEPT live.

Vocalist Robert Ljung about “YOU”:
“‘YOU’ is a classic breakup song built around the lingering ‘what if’ – a reflection on love, loss, and how time eventually swallows everything. It’s probably our most accessible track so far, combining a catchy topline with heavy riffs in a way that still feels true to our sound. We had a lot of fun experimenting with new elements on this one, and we’re incredibly proud of how it turned out.”

Originally formed in the early 2000s in Trosa, Sweden, ADEPT played a pivotal role in shaping the early European metalcore landscape. Known for their explosive live energy, the band quickly rose through the ranks, earning international acclaim and touring alongside genre giants like A Day To Remember, Underoath, and Bring Me The Horizon. Now entering a bold new chapter, the band stands ready to once again leave their mark on the global metalcore scene.

“YOU” is streaming on All Platforms, Check it out HERE

With their fierce blend of aggression and melody, ADEPT return with an infectiously emotional sound. The band quickly gained recognition and headlined multiple international tours across Europe, Asia and also performed at festivals like Metaltown and Sonisphere, where they opened for Metallica.

With several massive festival appearances across Europe, new music on the horizon, and the celebration of their 20th anniversary, 2025 marks the beginning of an electrifying new chapter for ADEPT. This is only just the beginning!

Wormholedeath proudly welcomes Texas-based brutal death metal powerhouse CRUNGUS to its roster for the release of their forthcoming album Hollow.

Emerging from the desolate plains of the Texas Panhandle, CRUNGUS brings a feral and invigorating presence to the extreme metal world. What began in 2021 as a humble two-man acoustic experiment quickly mutated into a monstrous five-piece force, armed with devastating riffs, thunderous drums, and an unrelenting DIY ethos.

Their sound fuses the raw intensity of brutal death metal with elements of blackened and doom-infused heaviness, delivering an overwhelming sonic assault that is as cathartic as it is merciless. With a reputation for face-melting live shows and razor-sharp songwriting, CRUNGUS continues to gain momentum in the underground metal scene.

Lyrically, Hollow delves deep into themes of inner torment, societal decay, and existential dread—channeling chaos into catharsis. It’s more than just an album; it’s a statement.

1. Dead Tree
2. Hollow
3. The Fear
4. Collapsing
5. Undying Ritual
6. Shapeshifter
7. Abomination
8. Lost
9. Parasites
10. Massacre

AKHLYS Present New Video ‘Through the Abyssal Door’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on June 11, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: AKHLYS. Leave a comment

Last July, oneiric Black Metal entity AKHLYS unveiled their formidable fourth opus, “House of the Black Geminus” – a stunning successor to the lauded “Melinoë“. Now, in collaboration with visual artist Chthonia (YouTube, Instagram, Bandcamp), the band conjures a haunting visual accompaniment to deepen the song’s dark and otherworldly aura.

Initially conceived to enhance AKHLYS’ live rituals, these abyssal visuals possess a standalone power – intensifying the atmosphere and amplifying the song’s lyrical resonance.

Composer Naas Alcameth (NIGHTBRINGER, AORATOS) reflects:

“The lyrics for ‘Through the Abyssal Door‘ were written by my friend, Richard Gavin, an author of occult literature and horror fiction (“The Benighted Path“, “The Infernal Masque“). We had discussed the concepts behind the album and the role of each track within the album’s hierarchical structure. Overall, the track emphasises the idea of “katabasis” within the framework of an initiatic dream, symbolized as a descent towards the “cellar” of the House.“

Richard Gavin adds:

“It is basically a two-part poem: one from the perspective of the house’s occupant, the next from the perspective of the Other itself.“

Delve into “House of the Black Geminus” in full below, or stream it across all major platforms!

Following their lauded appearance at the UK’s prestigious Fortress Festival (see photos here), AKHLYS will next perform in Istanbul, Turkey on October 25th. Further live manifestations will be revealed soon.

AKHLYS was formed 2009 by Naas Alcameth (NIGHTBRINGER, AORATOS, BESTIA ARCANA) as a musical expression for the inexplicable visions, journeys and phenomena that occur in liminal lands between slumber and awakening. Initially exploring these concepts via Dark Ambient in debut “Supplication” (2009) and then haunting Black Metal through lauded follow-up “The Dreaming I” (2015), Alcameth has once again reified and rarefied this vision, giving rise to a third and crowning work, “Melinoë“, which was released in December 2020.

Earning widespread acclaim for their live performances, AKHLYS secured a partnership with Parasite Gallows Booking in 2022. Amidst numerous tours and festival appearances in Europe, Israel, Latin America and the United States, the recent years have also witnessed the crafting of new compositions destined for the band’s fourth album. Titled “House of the Black Geminus,” this much-anticipated release is released July 5th, 2024.
