After delivering the triumphant 2023 affirmation that they are “…still fucking I.C.E.!” via 20-year-awaited second album “Ancient Glacial Resurgence“, the US Black Metal horde returns with their third revelation – “Abominable Astral Summoning“. I.C.E. now unveils a second new composition to grant both disciples and adversaries of Råvaskieth passage into their impending blizzard-born assault.

The band comments:

“As the reality of starvation and cold sets in, the walls burst open and the slow murder begins. The Phantoms of ICE are ancient monstrous beings that manifest through the archaic frosted veil (the astral frozen portal) that has been conjured and opened by I.C.E. on the command of the Great Råvaskieth, (the ONE who came before all). Much like the Blizzard Banshees, these ghostly demons appear with the wind and the hail. They can pass through all matter and infect and eviscerate all living creatures from within. These phantoms are just one force amongst many legions of old that are conjured to destroy all life and return this universe to its original blinding and empty bleak white state of eternal despair.“

“Abominable Astral Summoning” will be released on CD, vinyl – including an exclusive DMP variant – and digital on July 11th. A special t-shirt design will accompany the launch. Pre-orders are possible via the label’s EU, US, and Bandcamp shops.

To spread their grim gospel across the globe, I.C.E. have announced a series of select live appearances in follow-up to their appearance at Maryland Deathfest this May (view photos here).

I.C.E. had this to say on future live performances:

“You will see us in South American, in the United States and in Europe. You will see us in Hell. You will see us all around you. It will start with rain and hail and frost on every landscape. You will see the skies and valleys turn white and the storm clouds gathering. We will be all around you. The ghastly banshee hordes will enter your homes and ravage your families. You will see us in the mirror, you will see us in the lakes, you will see us stand above you as your decapitated heads sink in the snow from the hot steam of your warm blood. Before you die you will know us well!“

Originating in 2003 after the arctic summoning of the ancient astral Anti-God “Råvaskieth”, IMPERIAL CRYSTALLINE ENTOMBMENT was manifested through the hypothermic possession of four unwilling dead souls. Their identities died the minute their hearts were ripped from their chests and cast upon the whirling winds of the “Crystalline Blisserred Shrine”.

Driven by the inherent will of timeless hatred to freeze all Worlds and return the Universe and all of its Dimensions to the original bleak, empty void of colourless cold death, “IceSickKill”, “Blisserred”, “Bleak” and “Mammoth” vowed to stop at nothing until this frozen wasteland was achieved.

The now infamous “Apocalyptic End In White” album was conjured in 2004 and released on its unsuspecting victims with extreme violence as the first wave of cryonic encapsulation. After years of spreading pummelling, hopeless extinction upon the earth with the use of their supreme brand of sonic devastation, I.C.E. was called by the instinctual pull of the “Great Orbital Råvaskeith” to return their bodies to a hibernative state, while their energies were displaced onto other distant planets and within four alternate entities, who have been spreading the cold white death further amongst the stars.

20 years have now passed and the repetitive howling shrieks of the “Astral Frost Invocation” from the loyal mortal servants below, have opened the archaic portal and reanimated I.C.E. once more to reign over Earth and begin the second wave of convulsing frigid annihilation.

Awakening within caverns of ice and snow, I.C.E. have returned from the abyss, across the frozen emptiness of space! All shall perish! Your children shall continue to be abducted and skinned under the piercing blizzard winds of the Arctic Aurora, until the vast army of ghastly “Lycanthropic Banshee Hordes” arrive!
