Industrial metal bands Ventana and Deadly Apples are teaming up this November for the Saints of Sickness Tour, an 18-date run across the United States and Canada.

Cleveland-based Ventana, founded by Richard “Stitch” Thomas (Mushroomhead, Crossbreed, A Killer’s Confession) and Daniel Fox (Mushroomhead, Dope, Wednesday 13), have spent more than two decades carving out their place in the industrial metal scene, earning a reputation for highly entertaining live shows. The band has toured alongside acts including Fear Factory, Dope, Mindless Self Indulgence, Hellyeah, Static-X, Powerman 5000, Hed PE and The Birthday Massacre, while also performing on select dates of the Mayhem Festival. Ventana recently unveiled their latest single and music video, “Iron Over Blood.“

Montreal’s Deadly Apples have toured throughout North America, South America, Europe and Japan supporting artists such as Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Korn, Deftones and Rammstein, while also appearing at major festivals such as Hellfest, Knotfest and the Vans Warped Tour. Renowned for their intense, high-energy and chaotic live performances, the band continues to build momentum with their single “Volatile,” featuring Richard Patrick (Filter) and Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails), which has surpassed one million streams. The song’s accompanying music video was selected for the Berlin Music Video Awards.

Special guest Aeternum will appear on all dates. The female-fronted band recently released their new single, “Knives at Midnight,“ and blends elements of electro, pop and metal. Aeternum has toured with acts including A Killer’s Confession and Dogma.

“How could I have held you?
How could I have kept you mine?
The fairest light of all
A gleam in the black”

Finland‘s undisputed masters of melancholy, INSOMNIUM, are unveiling their latest single and video, “Gleam in the Black,” offering an even deeper descent into darkness and the shadowy realms beyond. Blending haunting melodies with crushing heaviness, the track captures the essence of the band’s signature sound while exploring the emotional depths that define their upcoming album.

Niilo Sevänen (vocals, bass) comments: “Being one of the faster songs on the new album, this is a track that should get the crowd moving when played live. It definitely carries a classic INSOMNIUM spirit. The lyrics tell a dark and mysterious love story, capturing the mood and atmosphere of the entire album. We are doomed to wander the nightly woods, searching for something lost long ago, something we can reach only in our dreams. That single gleam of light amidst the blackness.”

Atmospheric, powerful, and deeply evocative, “Gleam in the Black” serves as another glimpse into the album’s haunting world, where beauty and despair walk hand in hand.

Immerse yourself in the darkness and experience the song’s captivating visual counterpart, directed and produced by Patric Ullaeus of rEvolver Film Company AB, whose cinematic vision perfectly captures the track’s bleak yet mesmerizing atmosphere:

It is the second track from their upcoming album, “Netherworlds”, that is set for a release on October 16th, 2026. The band previously released “Shadowlife (Official Video)”: https://youtu.be/i5tMCCXKkD0

Ever since emerging from the mist-shrouded city of Joensuu in the heart of North Karelia, INSOMNIUM has stood as a beacon for those drawn to melancholy, introspection, and the beauty found within darkness. Over the course of their career, the band has carved out a unique place in the metal world, crafting epic soundscapes where sorrow and hope coexist, and where haunting melodies meet the raw power of melodic death metal.

Now, for the tenth time, INSOMNIUM opens the door to a new chapter. Their new album is a journey deeper into the shadows, steeped in the unmistakable spirit of Finnish melancholy and enriched by the band’s most nuanced and emotionally resonant songwriting to date. Sweeping atmospheres, poignant melodies, and crushing heaviness intertwine to create a work that is both deeply personal and universally affecting.

Never content to rest on past achievements or repeat familiar formulas, INSOMNIUM continues to evolve with each release. Rather than revisiting established ground, the band explores new emotional and sonic territories, broadening its artistic palette while preserving the qualities that have made its sound instantly recognizable. The result is an album that feels both fresh and timeless: a bold step forward that remains unmistakably INSOMNIUM at its core.

Behind the scenes, “Netherworlds” also marks the beginning of a new production era for INSOMNIUM. Taking on a pivotal role throughout the album’s creation, producer and engineer Miiro Varjus emerged as the band’s closest creative confidant, helping to shape and refine the record’s sonic landscape. His meticulous approach and deep understanding of the band’s artistic vision proved instrumental in bringing the album’s dark, immersive atmosphere to life.

Once again INSOMNIUM entrusted the album to the renowned team at Fascination Street Studios. Acclaimed producer and mixer Jens Bogren, together with mastering engineer Tony Lindgren, delivered the album’s powerful final sound. The result is a record that sounds both majestic and intimate, perfectly capturing the emotional weight and dynamic range that define this new chapter in INSOMNIUM‘s evolution.

INSOMNIUM are:
Markus Hirvonen – drums, percussions
Markus Vanhala – guitar, clean vocals
Tomy Laisto – guitar, clean vocals
Niilo Sevänen – vocals, bass guitar
Ville Friman – guitar, clean vocals

BLUTGOTT Release New Single & Video ‘Fall Of The Skull Mountain’ (Debauchery version)

Posted by tarjavirmakari on July 27, 2026

From the BLUTGOTT METAL UNIVERSE, DEBAUCHERY return with their rousing new single “Fall of the Skull Mountain,” the opening track of their upcoming album “Death of the Bloodking” (October 2026). Recorded by Dennis Ward (Unisonic, Helloween, Krokus) and featuring cover artwork by band leader Thomas Gurrath, the song delivers a powerful blend of melodic death metal, dark fantasy storytelling, massive grooves, and an anthemic chorus.

Set in the eastern realms of Dark Eden, on the border of the Underworld, “Fall of the Skull Mountain” tells the epic tale of the battle for Knochenheim, where the Blood God hordes of Balgeroth clash with the Legion of Luziferon. The track takes listeners deep into the dark lore of the BLUTGOTT universe, combining cinematic worldbuilding with relentless metal intensity.

“Fall Of The Skull Mountain” is the next lead single from the upcoming BLUTGOTT album:

BLUTGOTT: DEBAUCHERY VS. BALGEROTH
The Battle for Knochenheim Part 1 – Death of the Bloodking.
Release October 30th 2026

THE BLUTGOTT METAL UNIVERSE – independent & authentic.

Dark Fantasy Metal. There is no political or socio-critical message.

DEBAUCHERY – Death Metal
BLOOD GOD – Hard Rock & Heavy Metal
BALGEROTH – Dark Fantasy Metal with German Lyrics

It’s not just a band—it’s a universe. The BLUTGOTT Metal Universe, consisting of Debauchery, Blood God, and Balgeroth.
In the metal world, this is a unique concept, featuring interconnected bands spanning different metal genres and albums. In the comic book scene, however, it’s quite common. Both DC and Marvel have many superheroes who sometimes go into battle alone, sometimes together. Spider-Man, Iron Man, Black Widow—you know them from comics and movies, either alone or together as the Avengers.

Each of the Metal Blood Gods fights on their own—as Debauchery, Blood God, and Balgeroth—but together they are the Avengers of the metal scene: BLUTGOTT.

20 years of monsters and metal. Somewhere between Judas Priest, Slayer, AC/DC, Rammstein, and Bolt Thrower. 20 albums with over 40 CDs.
The lyrics depict a unique, dark fantasy world—the World of Blood Gods. Blood Gods are brutal, demonic vampire-dragons.
There are miniatures, a tabletop wargame, books, and artwork.
Concerts by the various incarnations of the BLUTGOTT Metal Universe have taken place throughout Europe, Russia, and Asia.

The draconic BLUTGOTT monsters have toured with legends such as Doro, Saxon, Dismember, Napalm Death, Destruction, Six Feet Under, Marduk and many other giants of the metal scene, and have played at festivals like Wacken, With Full Force, Summer Breeze, and Bang Your Head.

There have been articles in “Der Spiegel“ and “BILD“. Also a regularly collaboration with mainstream media, such as ZDF Neo’s -Wildes Deutschland – and ZDF’s Soko Stuttgart.

The mastermind behind BLUTGOTT is Thomas Gurrath, singer and guitarist, creator of the music and the monsters, and author of the World of Blood Gods.
There is no manager, no booker, no external songwriters. The albums are now released on band own Blutgott Metal Universe label.

The guy who quit his job as a teacher to become a full-time metal artist.
The artworks and stories are mostly made by him, but sometimes there were collaborations with renowned artists such as Adrian Smith (Warhammer), Jan Meininghaus (Bolt Thrower), Kris Verwimp (Marduk), or Graham McNeill (New York Times best-selling Horus Heresy author).

A few songs were created in collaboration with great musicians:
Tim Ripper Owens (Judas Priest, KK’s Priest), Michelle Darkness (End of Green), Tom Naumann (Primal Fear).

Almost all of the studio albums were recorded with the mighty Dennis Ward. He is known for his work with Helloween, Unisonic, and Krokus.

DAEDRIC Releases ‘RE:FORMED’ EP, Three Songs, Three Transformations, Out Now

Posted by tarjavirmakari on July 27, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: DAEDRIC. Leave a comment

Following the release of their acclaimed sophomore album As The Light Left, Daedric returns with the RE:FORMED, a three-track acoustic EP, with an accompanying behind-the-scenes documentary, out now via FiXT.

Purchase/Stream: https://link.fixtmusic.com/Daedric_REFORMED

Featuring stripped-down reinterpretations of fan favorites “Iridescent Wings,” “Sand Tiger,” and “Dreamweaver,” RE:FORMED reveals a more intimate side of the band while preserving the emotional weight and intensity that define Daedric’s sound. The accompanying documentary features a look behind the scenes, details the creation of the songs, and the thought process behind RE:FORMED.

“The approach to the RE:FORMED EP was more than just rehashing songs from As The Light Left as acoustic versions of the same thing,” says Daedric. “It was about creating something new out of our emotions and experience of the album. These acoustic songs have become more like a rebirth in such a cathartic sense, and the reworking and restructuring of each track allowed us to explore that concept in our own time.“

More than a collection of acoustic recordings, RE:FORMED serves as a creative reimagining of material from As The Light Left. Through careful restructuring and reinterpretation, Daedric uncovers new emotional dimensions within the songs, trading sonic aggression for vulnerability while preserving the spirit that made the originals resonate with listeners. The result is a release that stands on its own, offering a fresh perspective on the band’s evolving artistry.

Daedric is an alternative rock and metal project led by vocalist and artist, Kristyn Hope, alongside producer Geoff Rockwell. Daedric draws inspiration from an eclectic array of sources including the open world role-playing game series, The Elder Scrolls, from which the Daedric name is derived. The musical soundscape can best be described as “all killer, no filler” (according to Metal Epidemic) with a dance of hypnotic synths, elaborate grooves, and intensely dynamic vocals.

Kristyn launched the Daedric project in 2021 through a partnership with electronic rock label FiXT. With the debut full-length album, Mortal, and a May 2025 tour supporting TesseracT under Daedric’s belt, the project has solidified its hold on the line between rock and metal, with promises to tighten its grip on listeners’ ears. The band continues forward with a new album slated for release in late 2025.

Daedric has collaborated with labelmates Celldweller, Fight The Fade, Andromida, Void Chapter, and Highsociety for a gamut of well received singles that have also pulled in more fans from across the world. After dropping a variety of singles, music videos, and collaborations Daedric has amassed nearly 500K followers across all platforms, scored interviews in Outburn’s issue #112, mentions on Louder Sound, Punk Rocker, Metal Hammer, Metal Injection Spotify’s official “Women Of Metal” playlist, and recognition from Cristina of Lacuna Coil in a Spotify Women of Metal roundtable discussion between Lacuna Coil, Spiritbox, and Halestorm. They’ve also gained notoriety as Daedric’s track “Abandon,” a collaborative effort with Andromida, found its way into the spotlight when Ubisoft chose it for inclusion in a promotional trailer for Rainbow Six Siege.

With a European tour ahead and new music in the works, 2026 looks to be another big year for Daedric.

HESSIAN & YHWH Drop Crushing Split EP “Rapture and Perversion”, Out Now

Posted by tarjavirmakari on July 27, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: HESSIAN, YHWH. Leave a comment

Hessian and YHWH have joined forces to unleash “Rapture and Perversion,” OUT NOW  via Wormholedeath.

Bringing together two uncompromising visions of black metal, Rapture and Perversion is a relentless journey through occult atmospheres, crushing riffs, and unfiltered aggression. Although the collaboration had been planned for nearly a year, both bands delayed its completion while focusing on other releases. The result is a perfectly timed union that highlights the strengths of both acts, creating a seamless listening experience that moves effortlessly from one band’s sonic assault to the next.

On this release, Hessian enters a new chapter. Following an exceptionally prolific period that saw mastermind Laremy Wade involved in more than forty releases within a single year, he now assumes both guitar and vocal duties, while Imperious Noctem returns behind the drums. Together, they deliver a fierce performance that stands alongside Belgian-Thai occult black metal force YHWH, whose ritualistic approach and atmospheric intensity make Rapture and Perversion a powerful statement from two bands pushing the underground forward.

STREAM Rapture and Perversion now: orcd.co/rpsplitep

Hessian

Hessian traces back to 2002, when Wade’s project was recorded under the name Madame Durant. It became Utuk Xul Commands Worship in 2004 and went inactive, then returned in 2014 playing hardcore street punk. By 2016, the project had shifted back into extreme metal, recording collaboratively under the Hessian name. Hessian signed to Wormholedeath and released a self-titled album in January 2025, with Brandon Floyd on vocals (now running the solo DSBM project Nyvrosk), Wade on guitar, and Noctem on drums.

Since the self-titled album, Wade has run Hessian with a rotating cast of guest musicians from release to release: Frostmorner, also signed to Wormholedeath, on the single “Goetic Altars of Obsidian”; Thoth, of Thoth Nemesis and Internment, on the EP “Sworn to the Kult”; Frostmorner, Thoth, Crotalos of Gomold, and Dromo’ together on the EP “Celebrants of the Lunar Blood”; and, on the split EP “Primitive Adorations” with Death Invoker, Wade himself on vocals alongside drummer Wrath of Nunslaughter and Beelzebub Slaughter of Murder Records on the opening track. On “Rapture and Perversion,” Wade returns to vocals and guitar, with Noctem back on drums.

YHWH

YHWH is a Belgian/Thai occult black metal band formed in 2024 by brother and sister Schem HaMephorash and C. Bones, and S.M. Goatritual arrived in June 2024. S.M. Goat Ritual joined the band in June [YEAR TO CONFIRM]. YHWH released its debut EP, “Tetragrammaton,” through Wormholedeath in April 2025, followed by a second EP, “Khatha,” later that year. A third EP, “Baghavat,” is scheduled for October 30, 2026.
