Hardcore torchbearers PRO-PAIN share “March Of The Giants”, the second single off their long-awaited album Stone Cold Anger, out May 15, 2026 via Napalm Records. With their first album in 11 years, the New York legends—rising alongside Madball, Agnostic Front, and Sick Of It All—prove that they stayed on top of their heavy game throughout the years. “March Of The Giants” is David vs. Goliath—the pursuit of triumph over fear. With it, PRO-PAIN capture a story present throughout history: the oppressed versus the oppressors, a plutocratic class keeping a tight grip on everyone else. With added elements of oligarchy and technocracy, the scale of what the ordinary person is up against becomes even clearer. The impressive “March Of The Giants” shows PRO-PAIN continuously stoking up the fires in politically dark times, kicking down doors 35 years into their career.

The video for the new song was filmed in Belgium—specifically in Mons and Charleroi—and directed by Ludo Colapietro for COLAFILMSTUDIOS.

Gary Meskil about “March Of The Giants”:
“The second single from our upcoming album, Stone Cold Anger, is ‘March Of The Giants’—a song about standing tall and moving forward together to challenge oppressive forces and create real change. It was the first track completed for the new album, written with assistance from Eric Klinger and our former guitarist, Matt Sheridan.”

Rhythm guitarist Eric Klinger adds:
“We are thrilled that our previous single was so well received, and we hope you equally enjoy this one. Thank you all for the overwhelming support!”

Legendary New York hardcore juggernauts PRO-PAIN make their debut on Napalm Records with their sixteenth studio album, Stone Cold Anger, out on May 15, 2026. Their first release in eleven years showcases the band’s explosive energy in its purest form: Stone Cold Anger unfolds heavy, angry, and ready as ever—proving PRO-PAIN haven’t lost even an ounce of strength. An exceptionally catchy offering, the new album fortifies its groovy melodies and stirring guitar riffs with furious and inciting, anthemic vocals, turning the ten new songs into worthy follow-ups to their 3.5M-stream hit “Voice Of Rebellion” (2015).

Stone Cold Anger is an enthralling, memorable, and triumphant milestone for PRO-PAIN, and an impressive demonstration of power. See you in the pit!

Gary Meskil about Stone Cold Anger:
“Thank you to our fans worldwide for 35 years of unwavering support. After a decade away from the recording studio, we return with Stone Cold Anger—an album forged from global tension and the rising demand for accountability.”

Order your copy of Stone Cold Anger NOW

The highly anticipated new album (which features the return of former guitarist Eric Klinger) opens up with the punishing “Oceans Of Blood”, an energetic and captivating track which confirms once again that the hardcore icons have not lost one bit of their relentless anger in the last 35 years. The title track abruptly commences with soaring melodic guitars acting as sirens around frontman and bassist Gary Meskil’s commanding barks. Aptly named “March Of The Giants” is just that, a show of brute force layered upon an ever-so-heavy groove-laden foundation. “Uncle Sam Wants You!” displays a more rock ’n’ roll attitude, complete with a driving bass line and distinct social commentary; the raw and honest vibe continues throughout “Demonic Intervention” and “Rinse & Repeat”. Meskil’s raspy shouts fill the melodies of “Hell Or High Water” before PRO-PAIN forge onward and into the anthemic “Scorched Earth”—fiercely belting “And so it begins…” The following track, “Jonestown Punch”, galvanizes with stirring, up-tempo two-steps before “Sky’s The Limit” rounds off the album with catchy sing-along choruses.

Stone Cold Anger tracklisting:

  1. Oceans Of Blood
  2. Stone Cold Anger
  3. March Of The Giants
  4. Uncle Sam Wants You!
  5. Demonic Intervention
  6. Rinse & Repeat
  7. Hell or High Water

VARG Release New Live-Single ‘Morgenrot’ with Video

VARG invite their fans to another ritual with the second single off of their upcoming live album, Live at Wolfszeit Festival 2024, out May 22, 2026 via Napalm Records. With “Morgenrot”, the pagan metal band presents a duet between growler Freki and singer Fylgja, showcasing their ability to skillfully blend brutal sounds with epic melodies. During the show at their very own festival, which the album captures, the song (originally released in 2023 on Ewige Wacht) naturally shone in awe-inspiring red—as seen in the rousing video for the single.

VARG about “Morgenrot”:
“‘Morgenrot’ tells the story of the moment after a great battle—when the smoke clears and the first rays of the rising sun fall on the battle field. In our imagination, the Valkyries then ride across the skies and lead the bravest warriors to Valhalla. This mix of dignity, myth, and epic grandeur make this song special for us—and live at Wolfszeit Festival, this atmosphere unfolded perfectly.”

VARG gather their followers around them and call for a joint ritual: on May 22, 2026, the pagan metal band will share the recording of a special evening with their first live album, Live at Wolfszeit Festival 2024. Recorded at the group’s very own festival, it contains thrilling live versions of 16 tracks. Live at Wolfszeit Festival 2024 invites you to be part of the home match both as an audio and a video recording in Blu-ray format—filmed with 13 cameras, which makes for a particularly well-rounded live experience.

Supported by their home environment, VARG keep the flame alive and cement their leading position in the German pagan scene with Live at Wolfszeit Festival 2024. A unique demonstration of power by a band at the peak of their creative powers—at least until VARG call for the next Wolfszeit coming in August…

VARG on Live at Wolfszeit Festival 2024:
“With Live at Wolfszeit Festival 2024, we are immortalizing one of the most intense moments in our band’s history. Fire, thunderous choirs, and pure emotions merge into an atmosphere that sweeps everything away. This album is the gateway to the innermost circle of the wolf pack—and the answer to a question we always ask together: Are you with us? We are with you!”

On their new album, VARG conduct a campaign through their discography. It begins with “Aufzug der Heere” and “Schildfront”, which were first released in 2008 on the split EP Schildfront with Minas Morgul, and leads to “Ewige Wacht”, the title track of their latest album which was released in 2023 and is their biggest chart success to date. The visually stunning atmosphere of the evening flares up in a fiery production, impressively directed by frontman Freki. Light installations pierce the darkness and amplify the ritualistic power of the show. VARG remain “Immer Treu” (engl: Always Faithful; Ewige Wacht, 2023) to their fans, who respond with enthusiastic cheers—the band’s energetic songs and devoted performance make this particularly rousing. The crystal-clear production of the live spectacle is also reflected in “Morgenrot” on which Freki’s growls and singer Fylgja harmonize particularly beautifully—the latter is also honored with the rare live gem “Fylgja” (both also Ewige Wacht, 2023). “Blutaar”, the title track of the German band’s second album released in 2010, on the other hand, strikes a harder tone, bathed in deep red light. After the ominous thematic classification, the frontman screams his head off in his usual brutal manner, fueled by drums and cheers, and spreads his wings in a similarly intimidating manner as in the Viking custom he sings about—albeit less bloody. Furthermore, the fans join VARG for “Schwertzeit” (engl. Sword Time) and “Jagd” (engl. Hunt), and declare: “Wir sind die Wölfe” (engl. We Are The Wolves) (all Wolfskult, 2011).

Exclusive Premiere for Finland: KISSING KAOS – ‘Hay Sugar’ Official Video

Posted by tarjavirmakari on March 27, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: KISSING KAOS. Leave a comment

With their explosive new single and video “Hey Sugar”, KISSING KAOS deliver the track that ignited the spark behind the band’s upcoming album. Packed with towering guitar riffs, infectious melodic hooks and an undeniable swagger, the song captures the raw energy and attitude that define the band’s sound.

“Hey Sugar” dives headfirst into a story of reckless desire and the chaotic passion that follows in its wake: a wild ride where temptation, adrenaline and danger collide. Equal parts seductive and explosive, the track perfectly sets the tone for the debut album “To Your Limit”, blending hard-hitting rock power with irresistibly catchy melodies.

Bold, electrifying and impossible to ignore, “Hey Sugar” marks the moment where everything truly began for Kissing Kaos – and it’s only the start.

Join the premiering here:

What do you get when you combine punk rock influences with heavy melodic rock? Kissing Kaos is born and is set to release their debut album “To Your Limit” via Mighty Music. The album was produced by Andy Reilly (UFO, Bruce Dickinson, Cradle of Filth) at Muse Productions in Atlanta, GA. “Our debut album, born from seeds planted in 2022 and fully realized in late 2024, began as raw punk energy but evolved into melodic hard rock under the guidance of producer Andy Reilly”, states singer Joe Flynt. “This sonic shift demanded fresh songs to match the polished, expansive production, creating a dynamic journey from upbeat anthems like “Hey Sugar” to heavy hitters like “Tear It Down” and heartfelt ballads such as “Heartache and Scars.” Every track features infectious, sing-along choruses that invite listeners to join the ride that will take you “To Your Limit””.

After parting ways with his former band Asphalt Valentine, singer Joe Flynt began crafting heavier and more powerful songs. Drawing from a wide range of influences, Joe wanted to write songs that were melodic, full of energy and that could bridge the gap between old and new school bands. He quickly recruited Asphalt Valentine drummer Brian Jung after Brian heard the new material. Guitarist Jon Lansburg was recommended by producer Andy Reilly because of his broad musical influences, stage experience and technical abilities. Rounding out the lineup is bassist Chris Taylor of the band Kickin Valentina. Initially, Chris was just going to help with a couple music videos but loved the music so much, he ended up joining the band, co-writing a few songs and playing on the rest of the album.

With gritty riffs, pounding bass and drums, and anthemic choruses, Kissing Kaos delivers chaos you can’t resist singing along to.

“To Your Limit” will be released on LP (green teal opaque vinyl, limited to 300 copies), digipack CD and digital formats on 01.05.2026, via Mighty Music.

Lineup:
Joe Flynt – vocals
Brian Jung – drums
Jon Lansburg – guitars
Chris Taylor – bass

Exclusive Premiere for Finland: BLACK OAK COUNTY – ‘Around The Sun’ Lyric Video

Posted by metalshockfinland on March 27, 2026

Danish hard rockers BLACK OAK COUNTY continue to pave the way for their new album with the new single release of “Around the Sun”. Taken from “Misprint” (out April 10, 2026), the track is a modern-but-classic rock hit of pure groove, attitude and drive, built to be played loud and built for the stage.

Lyrically, “Around the Sun” taps into one of the oldest conflicts there is: pride. It’s the sound of watching arrogance spiral, listening to increasingly absurd certainty, and reaching the breaking point between patience and pure spite. Not as a personal attack, but as a hard, familiar observation – the moment where you stop arguing, step back, and think: Fine… Go ahead. I’ll watch it burn.

Musically, the track sits right in the pocket between classic rock swagger and Black Oak County’s modern punch. A deceptively simple riff drives the verses with a darker, bluesy edge before flipping into a bright major lift in the chorus. It’s fast, tight, and designed to move crowds with singer and bassist René Kristensen handling the verses, as guitars and singer Niels Beier delivers the high-soaring chorus, showcasing the band’s two-vocal dynamic at full strength, accompanied by a guitar solo full of classic-rock swagger and thundering drums, by guitarist Jack Svendsen and drummer Mike Svendsen.

“Around the Sun” also ties directly into the band’s upcoming touring cycle, with the 10 Years Around the Sun Tour coming up a few weeks from now, with a song that perfectly captures exactly what Black Oak County have built their name on: groove, hooks, and high-energy hard rock that doesn’t overthink itself, and serves as a staple in the band’s live set throughout 2026.

Join the premiering here:

With “Misprint”, Danish hard rock outfit Black Oak County deliver their most focused, aggressive and emotionally charged album to date. Releasing April 10th, 2026 via Mighty Music, the band’s fourth full-length is a confrontational, hook-driven hard rock record shaped by years of personal pressure, unrest, and hard-earned clarity – as well as celebrating some of the band’s greatest professional and personal victories.

Following the award-winning “III” (2024), “Misprint” finds Black Oak County pushing both ends of their sound – heavier, more melodic, and more direct than ever – without losing the no-nonsense hard rock core that has earned them a strong live reputation across Denmark and beyond.

The album’s title reflects a central feeling running through the record: the sense of being off, wrong, or out of place, and the damage done when those feelings are left unspoken. While much of “Misprint” carries a dark emotional weight, it’s balanced by moments of resolve, love, defiance and release. This is not a record about wallowing, but about confrontation.

The first single, “Kill The Pain”, opens the album with its heaviest statement. Driven by crushing riffs, groove-heavy production and an explosive chorus, the song functions as both a wake-up call and a release valve. Lyrically, it confronts the growing division, violence and dehumanisation dominating modern society. At its core, “Kill The Pain” is about facing what’s broken, rather than ignoring it, and choosing action over apathy. Written during a period marked by both global unrest and personal crisis, the song ultimately lands as a call to stand together and fight back against despair – in whatever form it takes.

“Misprint” was once again co-written, produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Nicklas Sonne (Defecto, Danish Eurovision Preliminaries). The result is a bold, modern hard rock album that blends aggression, melody and layered instrumentation – including subtle synth elements – while keeping the songs immediate, physical and built for the stage.

Black Oak County have steadily built momentum through relentless touring and releases, earning Årets Single (Single of the Year) for “Save Your Breath” at Den Hårde Tone 2024 and Årets Rock Single (Rock Single of the Year) for “Boom Boom Baby” at the Danish Alternative Music Awards 2025. Known for their high-energy live shows, the band will support “Misprint” with their most ambitious touring cycle yet, including their first full German headline run.

“Misprint” will be released on LP (gatefold, splatter orange vinyl, limited to 500 copies), digipack CD and digital formats on 10.04.2026, via Mighty Music.

Niels Beier – guitar, vocals

NARGAROTH Announce New Album “Apocalyptic Steel”, Video for Lead Single ‘Requiem Germania’ Out Now

Nargaroth are announcing their upcoming eighth album. Apocalyptic Steel is the German black metal firebrands at their most uncompromising. These nine songs are forged from pure black metal furry in the attitude of Judas Priest, Accept, Deicide and Obituary.

Apocalyptic Steel comes out June 26th on Season of Mist: Underground Activists.

Pre-order & pre-save: https://orcd.co/nargarothapocalypticsteel

Watch the official video for lead single “Requiem Germania”:

Written entirely in German, “Requiem Germania” stands apart from the rest of Apocalyptic Steel in both language and register. Where the album is built on the direct, unadorned attitude of old-school metal, its lead single moves through a slower, more interior space, its weight carried by the accumulated grief of someone who left and cannot cleanly return. The lyrics draw on imagery of harvest fields, ancestral graves and the pull of rivers to frame a condition that has grown more acute rather than fading with time.

The song addresses homesickness not as a temporary state but as something that calcifies with distance. Nargaroth frontman Ash left Germany, his family and his home more than a decade ago. The longer the separation, the more insistently the roots assert themselves. The track sits in the tension between that pull and the practical difficulty of return, shaped by resentment and a world that has changed in his absence.

The official video for “Requiem Germania” was directed by Claudio Marino and produced by Artax Film. It moves between a smoke-wreathed black metal performance and a slower narrative built around traditional German garments being put on, piece by piece—each layer a step back toward something left behind.

Tracklist:

  1. Intro (00:34)
  2. Steel Apocalypse (03:58)
  3. Twisted Steel (03:37)
  4. I Drink Alone (04:26)
  5. Metalheart (04:17)
  6. Dresden (04:21)
  7. Shelter the Faithless (06:27)
  8. Man of Mayhem (06:15)
  9. Requiem Germania (05:10)
    Full runtime: 39:07

NARGAROTH is the sole vision of Rene “Ash” Wagner, forged in Saxony in 1996 and driven by nearly three decades of raw, uncompromising German black metal.

Apocalyptic Steel is a record that refused to stay buried. Tracked in a single weekend at Trident Studios in Pacheco, California, in September of 2014, the album sat forgotten on a hard drive in the United States while Era of Threnody took priority. Years later, the recordings resurfaced. Drums were re-recorded in Las Vegas, vocals and mixing completed at AMP Studios in Duisburg, and twelve years after its first sessions, the album is finally here. This is not a vault curiosity. It is Nargaroth at its most direct: nine tracks of filthy, unadorned metal built on the attitude of old Judas Priest, Accept, Deicide and Obituary. From the predatory menace of “Twisted Steel” to the band-name-studded battle cry of “Metalheart”, from the unflinching historical weight of “Dresden” to the aching Germanic longing of “Requiem Germania”, this is an album that has nothing to prove and wastes nothing on pretence. Recorded fast, recorded dirty, and finished on its own terms.

SYLOSIS Reveal Live Video ‘All Glory, No Valour’ Ahead of North American Tour Dates

British metal powerhouse SYLOSIS are preparing to take their monumentally heavy, riff-fuelled live show across the Northern Hemisphere.

Next week, the band will be launching head-first into a collosal month-long trek across North America alongside Bleed From Within, Great American Ghost and Life Cycles.

To set the stage, SYLOSIS have released a break-neck live video for their track ‘All Glory, No Valour‘, filmed during their career-defining performance last month at The Forum, London, a highlight of their biggest headline tour to-date.

SYLOSIS commented:

“All Glory, No Valour is a collective favourite from The New Flesh. Since the early demos, the song always stood out as one of the most aggressive that the band has ever put together. Instead of a standard video, we agreed that releasing a live version of it at some point would be best so listeners could really connect with the energy of the track. Filmed at our biggest headline show to date at London’s O2 Forum in Kentish Town, this video really captures the essence of our live performance. Catch us live across North America over the next couple of months with Bleed From Within and across UK & Europe early next year with Whitechapel. We’ll see you soon.”

SUMMER 2026
19/06 – FR Clisson, Hellfest

Last month, Sylosis released their career-defining record The New Flesh. The album is a towering testament to destructive riffing, incisive melody and refined brute force. The band’s seventh full-length offering is a powerful showcase for the state of Sylosis in 2026: lethal, uncompromising, and avowedly metal as all hell.

When the going gets tough, metal gets heavier. SYLOSIS have always been devoted to the fine art of breaking necks, but in recent times, the urgency of their mission has grown exponentially. Still surfing on a wave of acclaim and the effusive fan response to their last album, 2023’s A Sign Of Things To Come, Josh Middleton’s virtuoso wrecking crew are poised to release their latest and best album, The New Flesh. A towering testament to destructive riffing, incisive melody and refined brute force, the band’s seventh full-length offering is a powerful showcase for the state of SYLOSIS in 2026: lethal, uncompromising, and avowedly metal as all hell.

The New Flesh is a fearsome statement of renewed intent. Harder, heavier and more ruthless than its predecessor, it is full of the kind of explosive, riff-driven anthems that guarantee carnage in the pit. But this is no exercise in mindless bludgeon: instead, Josh Middleton has penned his most evocative and thought-provoking songs to date. From the punishing grooves and breakneck viciousness of the opening ‘Beneath The Surface‘, to the epic conflagration of album closer ‘Seeds In The River‘, The New Flesh is an artful and nuanced take on the pure metal that SYLOSIS hold close to their hearts. This is brutality and catchiness in perfect symbiosis.

Dark and destructive, but dynamic and diligent, SYLOSIS are on blistering, career-best form on The New Flesh. The purposeful reset that began with A Sign Of Things To Come has evolved into something unstoppable, and the band’s latest work brims with confidence and authority. If it’s skull-shattering, 21st century heavy metal you want, The New Flesh brings it like never before.
