This summer, on August 22nd, North German power metal collective MOB RULES returns with their eagerly awaited, new studio offering, entitled “Rise Of The Ruler”, that is slated for a release via ROAR.

The follow-up to 2018’s successful album “Beast Reborn” (which reached a sensational #37 in the German and #59 in the Swiss album charts) is not only a work brimming with creativity, wit and quality, but also the conceptual continuation of their two early albums “Savage Land” (1999) and “Temple Of Two Suns” (2000), with which MOB RULES laid the foundation for their career. Both albums are linked by an exciting concept story about life in a dystopian, hostile end-time world in which resources are becoming scarce. This is exactly where the band’s new offering “Rise Of The Ruler” comes in and keyboardist Jan Christian Halfbrodt (who is responsible for all the lyrics) continues the thread.

In addition to the eleven-track standard album (available as CD digipak and colored vinyl), MOB RULES have also been working on a very special fan item over the last few months: The limited earbook edition of “Rise Of The Ruler” comes with an exclusive bonus CD containing five additional, brand new songs, as well as a spoken version of the concept story, an alternative version of “Dawn Of Second Sun” and the two video clips for “Back To Savage Land” and “Dawn Of Second Sun”! The large-format, hardcover book-style 48-page earbook extensively documents the creation of the album, video shoot, photo shoot and provides insights into the concept story.

Following the previously-released first single, “Back To Savage Land”, today, MOB RULES are presenting a music video for their latest album appetizer, the enthralling new single “Future Loom”!

“‘Future Loom’ is a fast yet very melodic song that breathes the spirit of old Helloween compositions,” says singer Klaus Dirks. “Lyrically, “Future Loom” accompanies the main character of our concept story, the young temple guardian Dendayar, who stands up against the increasingly tyrannical ruler and transforms from doubter into the new leader.”

Stream “Future Loom”, out now on all digital services, on: https://mobrules.rpm.link/futureloomPR

Once again “Rise Of The Ruler” was mixed and mastered by the experienced hands of Markus Teske (Vanden Plas, The New Roses etc.). After “My Sobriety Mind” (from the “Beast Reborn” album), MOB RULES also collaborated again with singer Ulli Perhonen (Snow White Blood), which is reflected in the beautiful duet of the song “On The Trail”.

The visual design was created by French cover artist Stan W. Decker (Masterplan, Primal Fear etc.), who perfectly staged the post-apocalyptic scenery of “Rise Of The Ruler”.

After “Beast Reborn” (2018), the live album “Beast Over Europe” (2019) and the anniversary compilation “Celebration Days – 30 Years Of Mob Rules” released in 2024, the Northern Lights are finally back with a powerful new studio album that marks another milestone in their extensive career!

VLAD IN TEARS release ‘Empty’, the first pre-release single from the upcoming studio album ‘Hide Inside’, which will be released on 1st August on Metalville.

“Empty” captures the paralyzing isolation we all know. With haunting vocals, the song takes listeners on an emotional journey through self-doubt and the feeling of belonging nowhere. The repeated “Empty” refrains intensify the sense of being lost, while the band navigates between fragile and intense moments. A track that hits straight to the heart and honestly reflects the darker sides of our existence.

VLAD IN TEARS, the band that is taking the global dark metal scene by storm with their unique and powerful sound, is ready to release their highly anticipated new album, “Hide Inside”. With a perfect blend of dark atmospheres, devastating riffs, and profound lyrics, “Hide Inside” is set to mark a new era for the band, solidifying their position as one of the most influential and innovative forces in contemporary metal.

Hailing from Italy, VLAD IN TEARS have already built a growing international fanbase, thanks to their ability to blend dark metal with gothic, industrial, and alternative rock influences. With a sound that knows no compromises and a visceral image, the band has proven their ability to captivate even the most discerning listeners, remaining true to their artistic vision without ever compromising with current trends.

The new album “Hide Inside” explores themes of inner darkness, mythology, and the confrontation between the material and spiritual worlds.

Each track is a powerful narrative that takes the listener on a psychological journey, suspended between reality and dreams. “Hide Inside” is an auditory experience that is rooted deep in dark metal, yet simultaneously challenges the conventions of the genre, with fresh sounds and musical experimentation.
The album was recorded with the utmost care and passion, with the aim of conveying the emotional intensity of each track. The result is a bold and introspective work that showcases the band’s growth and artistic evolution.

“With “Hide Inside” we wanted to explore the concept of spirits and invisible forces that influence our daily lives,” says the band’s frontman. “It’s an album that seeks to go beyond the surface, digging into the darkest corners of the human mind and its deepest desires.”

VLAD IN TEARS have yet to break into the mainstream, but their explosive power and authenticity make them one of the most promising bands in the international metal scene.

METRONIMIA Release ‘Incubo’, A New Disturbing Progressive Single

Posted by tarjavirmakari on May 16, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: METRONIMIA. Leave a comment

‘Incubo’, the new single by Italian progressive rock band METRONIMIA, is out now on all major streaming platforms via Volcano Records & Promotion.

The track immerses the listener in a dystopian and surreal dreamscape, where humanity is enslaved by technology and stripped of free will. With tight riffs, ominous soundscapes, and a narrative that blurs the line between dream and nightmare, Incubo delivers a powerful and thought-provoking sonic experience.

The song depicts a dark vision of the future where humans behave like remote-controlled automatons, incapable of making decisions or even performing daily tasks. A nightmare—or perhaps a reflection of reality? The music and lyrics merge into a hallucinatory crescendo that ends in madness and awakening, challenging the listener to question their own place in the modern world.

Drawing inspiration from bands like Deep Purple, PFM, and Ivan Graziani, Metronimia blends vintage progressive rock with a bold, personal edge. The single is accompanied by an official video on YouTube that deepens its symbolic and emotional impact.
