FROM ASHES TO NEW  — Danny Case (vocals), Matt Brandyberry (vocals), Lance Dowdle (guitar), Maty Madiro (drums), and Jimmy Bennett (guitar) —unleash an emotionally charged and engaging new single entitled “Love Me” out now via Better Noise Music. This hard-hitting yet hypnotic anthem sets the stage for the forthcoming Deluxe Edition of their acclaimed album REFLECTIONS, which arrives November 13, 2026.

Listen to “Love Me” here.

“Love Me” sees FROM ASHES TO NEW seamlessly evolve, while clinging tightly to the punchy rhymes, walloping choruses, and inventive soundscape architecture that transformed the band from Pennsylvania independent favorites to a Gold-certified international phenomenon who’ve achieved their first No. 1 single with “DRAG ME” (from Reflections) earlier this year.

“Love Me” cuts deep, breaking the skin and inciting true catharsis that’s as catchy as it caustic once the chorus kicks in.  You’ll be chanting along to “LOVE ME” after just one listen.

Vocalist Matt Brandyberry states, “‘Love Me’ is about that person who was supposed to be there for you, but they completely vanish, essentially becoming a ghost. You still vividly remember how it felt when they were actually around, to the point where you can still feel their breath on your skin, even though no one is there. This track creates a heavy, haunting atmosphere that mirrors that exact feeling of reaching out for a presence right next to you, only to grasp at empty air. It captures the sheer desperation of watching your own memories turn into a cage that feels impossible to break out of.”

“Love Me” follows the release of their new version of “Die For You,” featuring quarreling alt-pop sister duo Neoni. Since its arrival in August, the collaboration picked up critical acclaim from the likes of Broadway World, antiMusic, Metal Underground, and Rock ‘N’ Load, to name a few.

In other news, FROM ASHES TO NEW will share news regarding their forthcoming 2027 plans October 6.

2026 has been a banner year for FROM ASHES TO NEW. “Die For You,” which enjoyed a viral moment as the band took a firm and active stance against bullying. It is currently #5 at active rock. As mentioned, “Drag Me” surged as the #1 track on Active Rock radio. Meanwhile, Reflections has tallied just shy of 100 million streams since its April release. Plus, the group hit the road (and stayed on it), touring with the likes of Shinedown, Coheed and Cambria, Black Veil Brides, TX2, and As December Falls.

The band also announced a hometown holiday show in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania set for Friday, December 11. It sold out during the pre-sale, so the band added an additional show on Saturday, December 12. Zero 9:36 and Sage will serve as support. Both shows will take place at Capital City Music Hall.

VOLUCRINE Released Fifth Album “Chapter V: Renewal”

Finnish modern metal band Volucrine released their fifth album ‘Chapter V: Renewal’ via Inverse Records on September 25th 2026.

LISTEN to the album on streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/volucrine-chapter-v

The band’s mastermind Jupe Velin comments:

“The year 2024 brought with it, on a personal level, a serious crisis and a series of setbacks, from which I managed, with great difficulty, to get back on my feet only by turning to songwriting. It was just me, a new blank white page and a void that had to be filled with something. From this arose the central question of our new album: How to build a new life from nothing? In fact, never before has a Volucrine album come about so quickly and instinctively. Every track on the album represents a stage in the process, a chapter in its own right within a larger whole. It was a conscious choice to let the tracks emerge without the pressure to fit into any particular genre box. That’s why I feel, one hundred per cent, that ‘Chapter V: Renewal’ is the purest and most honest Volucrine ever. Taking both ends of the spectrum into account, it’s our heaviest and, at

the same time, our lightest album.

As with our previous album “ETNA”, our bassist Joni Kyynäräinen is once again in charge of production. He recorded the drums, bass, some of the guitars and mixed the album. This time, I wanted to get involved by recording all the vocal tracks and rhythm guitars in my home studio. This meant I could take my time to refine, layer and produce the vocal tracks to my heart’s content. Consequently, in terms of arrangement, the overall sound is very rich and grand, featuring plenty of harmonies and backing vocals.

A broader musical palette than before provided a great opportunity to invite guest artists to feature on the album. Otto Närhi (Nestruction, Psychework), who previously played on our album “The Lead Heavens”, recorded the piano parts on the tracks “Moving Mountains” and “The Sum of Changes”. Sanni Teitto (KuuDelta) lent her beautiful, vivid voice to the duet “Drift”. I hope that, with this album at the very latest, our audience will realise that Volucrine has never been simply about the heaviest riffs or the dirtiest metal vocals, but purely about music, which draws on styles or genres to channel different emotions in the best possible way. And although we always let the song dictate the musical direction, we strive to do so without losing our own distinctive and recognisable sound. Many of today’s arena-level artists have built their sound by incorporating influences from other musical genres. Perhaps the world is beginning to be ready

to appreciate our own diverse musical palette as well.“

VOLUCRINE are a Finnish alternative metal collective, who released their debut album in 2011. Four albums, two EP’s and countless live shows later, the band’s personal style has been honed to its peak, still emphasizing bold testing of boundaries within their genre. The band has a strong focus on their lyrics, which, due to their deeply personal nature, give Volucrine’s music a human voice.

After the ETNA LP, which garnered a lot of positive attention worldwide, the band is finally ready to present new material from their upcoming album, “Chapter V: Renewal”, which is released in September 25th through Inverse Records. With the theme of rebirth, we can expect the unexpected from this album as a great circle is closed.

CALLIDER Release New Single & Lyric Video ‘Stars Shine True’, Feat. Disarmonia Mundi

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 27, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: CALLIDER. Leave a comment

With ‘The Explorer’, CALLIDER (Stefan Lange) presents his second album, a sonic expedition that blends melodic death metal with literary depth and cultural reflection.

Today, CALLIDER releases the fourth new single for the song “Stars Shine True” (feat. Disarmonia Mundi), complete with a music video, from the upcoming new album “The Explorer”.

Stream/Download „Stars Shine True“: https://callider.bfan.link/stars-shine-true

“The song ‘Stars Shine True’ tells the story of Polynesian navigators who relied on the stars without a compass or modern technology. It’s a metaphor for the loss of our connection to nature, and a reminder that even today, we must orient ourselves by our guiding stars: humanity, solidarity and moral principles,” reflects Stefan Lange. “It’s a fast and heavy melodic death metal song, interrupted by an atmospheric chorus. It’s characterised by intense, powerful drumming and a heavy emphasis on solos and lead guitars.”

Following the successful debut ‘Southern Stars’ (2023), Lange takes things a step further: rather than science fiction or Viking clichés, the focus here is on the search for universal values – a tribute to forgotten cultures, historical narratives and the question of what holds humanity together.

Musically, Lange breaks with genre conventions: wind instruments, oriental sounds (Makam music) and acoustic ballads meet classic metal riffs and varied vocals. The result is an accessible yet complex sound that delights even non-metal fans. The lyrics are political, philosophical and poetic – ranging from the unity of humanity (‘One Note’) to a critique of social division.

The artwork (a Polynesian catamaran following the stars) symbolises humanity’s journey: we navigate through crises – but what are our guiding stars? Humanity, solidarity, moral principles. ‘The Explorer’ is not an album to listen to in passing, but an invitation to reflect.

Gåte are one of the most accomplished group of artists to come out of Norway. The band have topped the Norwegian charts, won a Norwegian Grammy and represented Norway in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest. Now, they are expanding their groundbreaking mix of Nordic folk and modern rock on their critically-acclaimed new album Sigil.

“After being brutally robbed at Eurovision, Gåte have reemerged with a grander full-length to rekindle the sylvan aura they condensed and presented to over a hundred million people in just three minutes” Heavy Blog is Heavy writes about Sigil.

“Just like anybody who craves something bold and exciting will be right at home with Sigil as Gåte breathes invigorating fresh air and impetus into the world that truly needs it”, writes The Razors Edge.

Sigil was released on September 25 on Season of Mist, and you can hear all 10 genre-blending songs by listening to the full album stream on the Season of Mist YouTube channel.

Across Sigil, Gåte expand on their groundbreaking mix of Nordic folklore and modern rock. Hardanger fiddle, nyckelharpa and hurdy-gurdy move alongside dark electronics, heavy guitar and Gunnhild Sundli’s transcendent vocals as the songs travel from enchantment and insatiable hunger through prophecy and mortality toward a closing sense of renewal.

Maria Franz of Season of Mist labelmates Heilung guests on lead single “Sannsiger”, which won in the World category during Session I of The John Lennon Songwriting Contest.

Gåte’s upcoming fall tour will bring the band to nine cities across Norway, plus one date in Istanbul, Turkey. During this ten date run, they will perform new songs from Sigil, along with fan favorites from their celebrated discography.

Rooted in the intersection of Nordic folk tradition and contemporary rock, GÅTE have spent over two decades developing a sound that feels both ancient and fiercely present. Drawing on centuries-old ballads, oral traditions, and traditional vocal forms, the band transform these sources into music that is physical, emotionally direct and unmistakably their own.

Emerging in the early 2000s, GÅTE quickly became one of Norway’s most distinctive bands for their groundbreaking mix of Nordic folk tradition and modern rock. In 2002, their debut album, Jygri, entered at #1 on the Norwegian Albums chart and won them the Spellemann Award (Norwegian Grammy) for Best Newcomer.

“GÅTE have been drawing from traditional music and transforming it with modern means into something new right from their beginning”, Metal Hammer writes.

After two studio albums, three EPs and one live album, GÅTE took a twelve-year hiatus before returning to critical acclaim and sold-out performances with 2017’s Svevn. Following their folk-leaning LP Nord in 2021, the band went on to represent Norway in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest with a contemporary re-imagining of “Ulveham”, a traditional Norwegian ballad. In 2025, they toured throughout Europe with Leprous.

Rather than treat tradition as a fixed reference, GÅTE approach it as a living force. Old material is not preserved for its own sake, but reworked and recontextualized, allowing it to resonate with contemporary urgency and relevance.

“Our music comes from a place where tradition is not something fixed, but something alive” the band says. “We draw from old sources because they still speak to us, and because they allow us to express something honest and human today.”

GÅTE have now completed their sixth studio album, which will be released on the band’s new label home Season of Mist. While the band has focused primarily on Norway in the past, signing with the international label reflects both the growing interest they have received from around the world and their desire to reach a wider audience.

During the fall of 2026, GÅTE will perform the album’s lead single “Sannsiger” and other new songs during a headline tour of Norway and one date in Istanbul, Turkey. Their concerts are well-known for being immersive and intense, balancing raw energy with a ritual-like focus that has earned them a glowing and growing reputation beyond the Nordic region.

CARNATION Return to Their Death Metal Roots with Catchy Yet Brutal New Single & Video ‘Blackmouth’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 27, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: CARNATION. Leave a comment

Death metal band CARNATION return sharper, heavier, and more focused than ever. Today, they unveil their new single “Blackmouth”!

Blackmouth taps directly into the core of classic Death Metal while still feeling fresh within the context of the album. It brings together heavy, driving riffs, relentless blast beats, and a strong sense of groove, striking that balance between aggression and catchiness that defines the band’s sound.

Lyrically, Blackmouth explores the impact of constant criticism and negativity, especially in today’s hyperconnected world. This negativity is personified as vultures circling and preying on weakness, reflecting the often harsh and short-sighted nature of public judgment, particularly on social media. As the song progresses, the narrative comes full circle: the one being targeted at the beginning ultimately transforms into the very thing that was hunting them. This transformation underscores the idea of a never-ending cycle of negativity, making the track both confrontational and thought-provoking.

Album Release Show – 7 november, Zappa Antwerp

In honor of the new album, CARNATION is playing one exclusive release show in Flanders this year. This takes place on November 7, 2026, at Zappa Antwerp. Fans can expect an intense evening full of brutal riffs and unforgettable moments. This is the moment to experience the band in full glory once again. CARNATION IS BACK!

Concert tickets are available HERE

Blending raw aggression with sharper songwriting and a more defined visual identity, “Symphony In Flesh” captures CARNATION at a crucial point: back to their core, but evolved in every direction that matters.

The album will be out on October 16 and is available for pre-order HERE
