The mighty WARKINGS return from Valhalla with fanfares of the apocalypse! With their new single “Genghis Khan”, the warriors unite with German power metal titans Orden Ogan to unleash a thunderous power metal tale inspired by one of history’s most formidable military forces. Fueled by loyalty and discipline, the song brings to life the fearless warriors of Genghis Khan—men who didn’t see themselves as conquerors, but as a brotherhood driven by a singular vision.

With relentless energy and iron resolve, the song storms across the land like a cavalry charge, reshaping the battlefield with every note and leaving only devastation behind. This isn’t just a metal anthem—it’s a call to arms echoing from the steppes of Mongolia to the halls of Valhalla.

The track launch also quickly follows the announcement of the band’s upcoming European co-headline Pirates & Kings tour with label mates Visions of Atlantis! See below for all confirmed tour dates.

Check out the official music video for the second single “Genghis Khan” below, and prepare for war—the horde is coming.

The Tribune comments:
“Ride with the horde, gather under the banner of the great Khan — unstoppable, unbreakable, and born for conquest!”

Since their formation in 2018, WARKINGS have cemented their place in the power metal scene. They have conquered festival stages, played alongside legends like Powerwolf, Hammerfall, and Subway To Sally, and built a devoted fanbase that has chanted their anthems at Europe’s biggest stages, including Wacken Open Air.

The five warriors in WARKINGS have once again taken up their weapons to bring the legends of their past to life with mighty power metal anthems. Each of them carries the memories of great battles within, and now, the time has come to unleash these stories upon the world alongside the indomitable sorceress Morgana le Fay.

The band’s fifth album, Armageddon, is a journey through some of history’s most pivotal conquests—moments where warriors stood firm, empires crumbled, and the world was forever changed. From the Viking raid on Lindisfarne in “Armageddon” to the thunderous legacy of “Genghis Khan”, and the tragic fall of the Knights Templar on “Hangman’s Night”, WARKINGS breathe fire into forgotten chapters of the past. The epic finale “Kings of Ragnarök” calls on fans to rise and fight alongside gods in the last battle.

The new album features strong forces – Dominum (“Hangman’s Night”), Orden Ogan (“Genghis Khan”) and Subway to Sally (“Stahl auf Stahl”) lend their weapons to the mighty kings. Adding to the sonic arsenal, Armageddon was produced by Felix Heldt and mixed/mastered by the renowned Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Powerwolf, Amaranthe). The band teamed up with further musicians to write some battle hymns on this album: Eike Freese (Dark Age, Lord of the Lost) lends his power to “Genghis Khan”, Jan S. Mischon (Saltatio Mortis) joins on “Varangoi”, and Ken Kängström (Follow The Cypher, Sabaton) co-wrote “Kingdom Come”.

With Armageddon, WARKINGS prove that history is not only written by rulers and conquerors—it is shaped by those who fought in their name. This album offers a glimpse into the experiences of those who stood at the brink of their own end—their personal Ragnarök, their own Armageddon. Honoring these fearless warriors, WARKINGS deliver yet another epic, destined to triumph in every battle!

WARKINGS comment:
“Armageddon is not just the end — it’s the moments in history that changed the world forever. This album is a tribute to the warriors and shieldmaidens who faced the battles that shaped their world.”

GODZILLA WAS TOO DRUNK TO DESTROY TOKYO Drop New Single ‘Sideral Voivod’

Argonauta Records is thrilled to announce the release of “Sideral Voivod”, the mind-bending first single from the upcoming album by Italian heavy psych trio Godzilla Was Too Drunk To Destroy Tokyo.

Driven by a fuzz-drenched mix of acid rock and stoner madness, “Sideral Voivod” is a sonic rollercoaster where sludgy riffs, prophetic choruses, and explosive breakdowns collide in an electrifying storm of chaos and groove.

The band states:
“All Heil the ‘Sideral Voivod’! A madness fueled odyssey where the good, the bad and the starring are the same being. As landscape for this twisted trip you’ll find fuzzy and crunchy 60s acid rock guitar riffs, stoned obsessive prophetic choruses, gorilla bass sound and unexpected drum fills and breakdowns. Everything is spiced up with more paranoid views.”

Listen here: https://song.link/gwtdtdt

Formed in 2022 in Calice Ligure, a small village near Genoa, Godzilla Was Too Drunk To Destroy Tokyo is a total DIY powerhouse. The band is led by frontwoman and drakkar bass destroyer Sara de Luca, known as the Evil Lord, alongside octopus-armed drummer Nicola Viola, and riff-wizard guitar builder Alessandro “Camu” Camurati. Together they have already toured across Europe and Japan, leaving a trail of crushed stages in their wake.

Following the success of their 2023 albums Atomic Spitfire and Evil Lord, the new material promises to take their sound even further into the unknown, a swirling blend of cosmic fury and psych-fueled rebellion.

If you are into heavy riffs, acid-drenched rock, and chaotic sci-fi visions, this is the band you need in your life.

Stay tuned for more news and the full album release coming soon on Argonauta Records.

NADA Sign with Wormholedeath for Release of Full-Length Album “Entropia”

Wormholedeath is proud to welcome Brazilian hardcore thrash metal powerhouse NADA to its roster! The relentless trio has signed a deal for the release of their full-length album, Entropia, a ferocious and politically charged record that embodies the chaos and defiance of modern Brazil.

NADA: Uncompromising, Unrelenting, Unfiltered

Formed in 2020 in the interior of São Paulo, NADA emerged as a response to the growing social and political turmoil in Brazil. With the pandemic forcing them into isolation, the band used their time to craft a sound that is as raw and urgent as the reality they face.

Driven by the rise of the extreme right and the spread of fascism and denialism in Brazil, NADA channels their rage into fast, direct, and unapologetic music. Their hard-hitting riffs and no-nonsense lyrics aim at the injustices plaguing their country, blending social critique with deeply personal reflections.

After making their mark with a blistering self-titled debut EP in 2022, featuring five uncompromising tracks, the band is now set to unleash their most powerful statement yet: Entropia.

Entropia: A Soundtrack to a Fractured Society

A sonic gut-punch that refuses to be ignored, Entropia captures the intensity of life in Brazil over the past decade. The album reimagines five tracks from NADA’s debut EP while introducing eight brand-new songs, resulting in a relentless fusion of thrash, hardcore, punk, and death metal, infused with Brazilian and South American influences.

The album’s cover art, designed by @kaparootz, depicts the destruction of Indigenous values upon first contact with colonial forces—an allegory for the modern world’s descent into deception and manipulation. NADA draws a parallel between this historical loss and today’s society, where truth is often drowned in a sea of lies.

More than just an album, Entropia is a battle cry. It’s the sound of a band refusing to stay silent, using music as a weapon to confront oppression and demand change.

Joe Stump’s TOWER OF BABEL Announce New Album “Days Of Thunder”, Video for Title Track Out Now

Joe Stump’s TOWER OF BABEL – the hard rock quintet who bring the finest European ingredients to their no-nonsense rock ‘n’ roll – will release Days Of Thunder on Silver Lining Music on July 4th. Joe Stump’s supreme six-string shredding skills are known throughout the rock and metal scenes, both as the lead guitarist of Alcatrazz and as the shred specialist associate Professor at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, and having torn new earholes with their 2017 debut Lake of Fire, Stump & co take it a step further and higher with 10 glorious slices of riff-driven, Rainbow/Deep Purple styled anthems.

Along with the soaring vocals of Jo Amore, the tight-fist-drumming of Mark Cross, the multi-dimensional Mistheria (aka The Maestro) on keyboards, and Nic Angileri nailing down the rhythms on bass guitar, Stump has once again prevailed in bringing heavy, energetic, yet gloriously melodic music to the table with a style and panache rarely seen in 2025.

“All of my influences are the classic European hard rock masters, whether it’s Ritchie Blackmore, Michael Schenker or Gary Moore.” offers Stump. “Naturally, the record gives a modern take on those classic sounds. I also love classical music of course, like Bach, Tchaikovsky, Vivaldi, and I wear all those influences on my sleeve. I do have more of a metal background, and my touch is quite a bit more aggressive, but this Days Of Thunder record is more of a hard rock album than it is a metal record.”

Released today, title track and first single ‘Days Of Thunder’ propels itself off with typically blistering Stump riffs which shimmer with dazzling technique, Amore’s vocals helping to further evoke the classic era of 80’s European rock.

Joe Stump comments: “It’s a badass tune that has a Rainbow vibe to it but heavier and reminiscent of early ‘classic’ Dio, something you could hear on the Dream Evil or Holy Diver albums. The band just went for it and the track immediately took on a life of its own… Jo’s great vocals, Mark’s killer playing and of course The Maestro destroying on the keys, it all matches up perfectly!”

Watch/Listen to the first single, ‘Days Of Thunder’ here – video by Very Metal Art.

On Days of Thunder, songs such as ‘Sacrifice’ and ‘The Princess’ dance the edge of speed and classic fireball rocking, the latter allowing some outrageous solos to unfold from both Mistheria and, of course, Stump, who proudly re-establishes his pedigree as one the world’s best axesmiths. The mysterious and hazy groove of hip-swinger ‘Alone In The Desert’ is a smokey backbeat dragging you into its soulful swagger. All in all, taking a ride with Days Of Thunder is a Jedi mind trick of vintage sounds with ultra-fresh and vibrant sensibilities that will transport you back to the Hammersmith Odeon and the days when unabashed hard rockin’ talent, power, colour, and flare were celebrated and venerated.

DIAMOND HEAD Announce New Release “Live and Electric”, Single/Video ‘Helpless’ Out Now

Posted by tarjavirmakari on May 7, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: DIAMOND HEAD. Leave a comment

With a thunderous crunch and genuine ‘in-your-face’ production that places the PA up against your ears, British heavy metal icons DIAMOND HEAD are proud to announce the release Live and Electric, a live album that delivers every nuance of that four-letter word thanks to a song selection that covers Diamond Head’s seminal career, and a sound that leaves you breathless in the stalls and smelling the sweat and leather of a classic British Heavy metal night. Live and Electric is set for release on on July 11th via Silver Lining Music and it’s available to pre-order at here.

The first single taken from Live and Electric, “Helpless”, is released today. Founding member and lead guitarist Brian Tatler recalls of the song: “In September 1979 the song Helpless began life as a riff I was playing by an obscure punk band. I was playing it at the 5th fret and singer Sean Harris said ‘play it at the 2nd fret but play it faster’ and the song took shape. It has always been a powerhouse live and one of the songs that has never left the set list. Metallica covered Helpless on their $5:98 EP in 1987 which introduced it to a whole new set of Metal fans.”

Watch/Listen to the first single, “Helpless” here – video by Jay Shredder.

Recorded in 2022 on the band’s tour with Saxon, Live and Electric takes in performances from Aberdeen, Blackburn, York, Cambridge, Cardiff and Bexhill, creating in the process an unmistakably British energy which is superbly recorded and mixed by Jay Shredder, with singer/frontman Rasmus Bom Andersen mastering. By now, the rock and metal scene knows all about Brian Tatler, whose riffs have genuinely defined a genre as well as influencing one of the world’s biggest-ever rock bands, Metallica, but the contribution of Andersen to these Diamond Head performances is explosive as he bursts with power, presence and personality.

“It’s the first Diamond Head live album for twenty years and the first time in Diamond Head’s career that we were able to record all fourteen shows and then go through them to find the best performances,” continues Brian. “In the past we would only record one specific show and so all the pressure to get it right on the night would build up and make everyone very nervous. Somewhere in the middle of this tour things began to gel and fortunately these shows were captured for posterity.”

The seamless way in which old classics such as “The Prince” and newer stormers like “Belly Of The Beast” thunder down the tracks is a testimony to the lock-tight no-nonsense foundation that Paul Gaskin (bass), Andrew “Abbz” Abberley (rhythm and lead guitar), and Karl Wilcox on drums add to the alchemy and the balance of respect plus reinvigoration for treasures “It’s Electric”, “Helpless” and “Am I Evil?” is electrifying. Live and Electric is a true roots representation of Britain’s metal communities, and a wonderful live celebration of Diamond Head’s distinctly British heavy metal music which feels as fresh, vital, and important now as it ever has before.

Live and Electric track-listing:

The Prince (Live At The Bexhill De La War Pavilion)
Bones (Live At St David’s Hall, Cardiff)
The Messenger (Live At The Cambridge Corn Exchange)
In The Heat Of The Night (Live At The York Barbican)
