Twenty damn years. That’s how long HELL:ON has been tearing it up from the heart of Ukraine – through lineup shifts, label drama, and now an actual war. No trends chased, no compromises made. Just full-tilt death metal, carved out of chaos and conviction. What started as a pissed-off underground unit in the early 2000s has grown into a battle-hardened machine that never took a break, never cleaned it up for the mainstream, and never needed to. HELL:ON is still here – loud, ugly, and absolutely vital.
“Today we celebrate 20th anniversary of the band. And one thing we can say for sure… we are still alive and we still playing death metal!” – says the band
As part of the 20-year chaos, HELL:ON just dropped a live video from their set at Metal Injection’s Slay At Home fest – raw, loud, and exactly how it should be:
Hell:on was formed in early 2005 in Zaporizhzhia, Eastern Ukraine. Hell:on plays death metal with oriental and tribal elements. The band’s lyrics generally deal with mysticism, philosophy, and anti-religion. During the recordings of previous albums, the band has worked with Andreas Kisser, Jeff Waters, Andy LaRocque, and Marek Pajak. In 2019, the band was nominated as the Best Ukrainian Metal Act and has shared the stage with Rotting Christ, Kreator, Marduk, Napalm Death, etc.
In 2024, HELL:ON dropped their seventh full-length, Shaman (via Archivist Records) – and it didn’t go unnoticed, showing up on heavy album-of-the-year lists worldwide.
May 30, 2025, will see Swedish sludge and groove metal force CAREGAH reissue their highly anticipated debut album, ”Osmium”, self-released by the band in 2023, now through their new label partner ROAR!

Marcus Kärregård (vocals, guitar) comments: “I wrote this song many, many years ago and have played it for myself from time to time. I actually like to let the listener form their own opinion of all the songs Caregah releases, but if you want to know my insight into the song, it’s about longing for something/someone and loneliness but when you’re among other people. There are many perspectives here…so I’ll let everyone decide for themselves what Tombstone is for them.”
Hailing from Southeast Sweden, CAREGAH is a no-nonsense, full-throttle heavy, sludgy groove metal band. Their music has a captivating quality, keeping you engaged throughout every performance and track. Formed in 2019, CAREGAH introduced themselves to the world with their much-acclaimed debut EP, ”Forsaken EP” featuring a music video for the track ”Tomahawk”. This Ep will now be reissued as a bonus on the new CD version of “Osmium”!
Their music is a fantastic blend of groove, doom, and sludge metal, ultimately delivering a straightforward, headbanging-heavy metal experience. Their live performances are a whirlwind of high-energy moments that will leave your neck sore from all the headbanging.
Sweden Rock Magazine gave “Osmium” 8 out of 10 points, and a perfect 10/10 highscore came from Metal-Head.de, attesting: “CAREGAH have forged a massive piece of metal with “OSMIUM”. It’s like riding a steel wrecking ball or surfing a monster wave. You are swept along mercilessly. It’s massive! It’s hard! And it rocks! An absolute direct hit!“
Dive deep into “Osmium” and experience a massive wall of sound from CAREGAH, which are currently working on their follow-up record, always driven and inspired by the power of the riff. If your musical tastes align with Down, Pantera, Black Label Society, Testament, and Sepultura, then CAREGAH is a band that you’re sure to fall in love with!
Looking back on a more than 30-year long career, GOTTHARD still remain relevant: TV appearances at “Sing meinen Song – Das Schweizer Tauschkonzert,” all-embracing media presence around the globe, and especially their chart-storming new album “Stereo Crush” keep the band in the talks. After fans received the three previously released singles ‘Boom Boom,’‘Thunder & Lightning’ and ‘Rusty Rose’ with open arms, there seems to be yet another track on the album which has entered their hearts right away. Closing in on the mentioned tracks, most notably on streaming platforms, is ‘Burning Bridges,’ and that’s why GOTTHARD are even more pleased to present a music video for this evident new fan favourite today.
Vocalist Nic Maeder, who also wrote the song, comments: “This track is about the thrill of non-conformity and the moment you walk away from what’s expected of you: because freedom tastes better than approval. Don’t play it safe, move on and burn the bridge to a new world after crossing it. ‘Burning Bridges’ is dedicated to all those who don’t fit in – and don’t want to!”
With their latest offering “Stereo Crush,”GOTTHARD reached the top of the official album chart for the 17th time (and for the 13th time in a row!) in their home country Switzerland.
Guitarist Leo Leoni states: “We’re absolutely thrilled! This is our 17th album hitting #1 in Switzerland! Trends fade, but rock never dies. Thanks to our fans, some of whom have been supporting is for over 30 years! Let’s keep on rocking!”
“This album has become so special because of YOU – our amazing fans who love our music! Your incredible support has once again taken us to the top of the charts. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!” adds Maeder.
The band’s Austrian (#7) and German (#11) fan bases also gave them plenty of reason to celebrate in recent days.
GOTTHARD will present “Stereo Crush” live on stage from May 20 on: Mainly leading them to Germany, Austria and – of course – Switzerland, but stops in Italy (Alcatraz, Milan), Sweden (Sweden Rock Festival, Sölvesborg), and Spain (Z! Live Rock, Zamora) are also part of the upcoming routing. All dates and ticket info can be found below!
“Stereo Crush” was produced, recorded and mixed by long-time producer Charlie Bauerfeind, who’s known for his work with the likes of HELLOWEEN and BLIND GUARDIAN, alongside co-producer and founding member Leo Leoni at Yellowhouse Studio. Mastered by Sascha “Busy” Bühren (TrueBusyness), artwork was once again provided by Thomas Ewerhard (AVANTASIA etc.).

Darkest Hour’s Mike Schleibaum says, “It feels unreal to the type the words, 30th Anniversary tour, but here we go! See you this fall EU & UK as we celebrate 30 years of DARKEST HOUR! When we started in 1995 we had no idea where this wild ride would take us, how much this band would enrich our lives, how thankful we would be for it all, and how hungry we would still be to keep the party going. We’ll be playing the most robust headline set we’ve ever played. We’ll be pull’n out all the hits, old jams, deep cuts, new cuts, new bangers, and everything in between.
“Joining us will be long time friends, Bleeding Through who haven’t toured the EU / UK in over a decade. They’re releasing new music, and are as heavy, tight, and ready to destroy as ever. Shai Hulud who have been friends of ours, almost since our inception, and who have stood the test of time as one of the most underground, yet revered heroes of our scene. Denial of Life are putting it all on the line as the opener and will set the night off with their unique style of hardcore / thrash / metal that fits right in on this line up. Every one of these shows will be so special to us, get your tickets, tell your friends, and come celebrate with us this fall!”
The band released their latest album, Perpetual | Terminal, in 2024 via MNRK Heavy. Kerrang! gave the album 4 / 5, saying, “The mighty Darkest Hour deliver yet another slice of pure melodic death nirvana,” while Blabbermouth wrote, “As great as diehard fans will be expecting, and maybe even greater than that, Perpetual | Terminal adds yet more weight to DARKEST HOUR‘s unassailable reputation. Listen and learn, half-assed infidels: The experts are back.”

“Hi Guys!
Here’s our next single “Haldokló belső, halott szív (Pengékkel ágyba hívni)” from our debut album (Üdv a világomban), which will be released in the fall. The song is about a sad chapter in my life. Nearly eight years ago, after a very serious break-up and the difficult and struggling year that followed, I began to search for new love and a new relationship. Of course I wanted love and care, but I also felt that part of my soul had died before. It wasn’t easy, but I knew that somehow it all made me stronger. Not long afterwards I met a girl who completely enchanted me, but it was very difficult to believe and trust her honestly and without doubt. After successfully overcoming myself and my doubts, I fell in love. Unfortunately, we broke up after a short time and I was again alone in the dark, wondering once more, “Where did I go wrong?” -Nagy Gábor “Kenny”

Germany’s HATRED INHERIT are back with a vengeance! Forged in Bottrop in 2012, the band blends relentless traditional Death Metal with modern, crushing drumming and dissonant riffing, drawing influence from legendary acts such as Malevolent Creation, Dead Congregation, Morbid Angel, Immolation, Hate, Death, and Decapitated.
Following the unfortunate loss of their debut during the pandemic chaos of 2020, HATRED INHERIT now returns stronger and more ferocious than ever with their second full-length, “Void“. Featuring 8 devastating tracks and clocking in at just under 31 minutes, “Void” showcases a sharpened, technical, and uncompromising assault, crafted by ex-members of Phobiatic, Hounds of Damnation and Seventh Seal Broken.
Recorded at guitarist Stipe Šimleša‘s 3rd Floor Sounds studio, and featuring the dark, gripping artwork by Kai Ski (The Serpent Sun Tattoo), “Void” is a testament to HATRED INHERIT‘s pure, unrelenting Death Metal vision. No compromises, no mercy!
