Finnish metal band Northvoid is set to release a new EP ‘Ember Remains’ on April 25th 2025 via Inverse Records. The second single Entrusted is released today and music video is available below.

Entrusted takes the listener to the depths of the mind, driven by heavy riffs and deep-rooted vocals. It is the slowest and heaviest song in the band’s output so far. The band’s guitarist and composer Markus Heikkinen says the following about the song:

“Entrusted is the band’s most melancholic, even oppressive song to date. Despite its anxiety, the song has become an important part of the band’s story.”

“I see that the lyrics of the song have different meanings, depending on the listener. They can describe men who, without speaking to each other, watch an autumn campfire somewhere in the woods. The lyrics also have a melancholic side, which I think fits well with the heavy guitar sound of the song,” continues the band’s drummer and lyricist Timo Korkalainen.

Forged in North Karelia in January 2020, Northvoid delivers a musical assault rooted in the melodic death metal of the 90’s. With a bond forged in childhood, our members now channel the raw, untamed energy of the past & present into every note.

Our music is a fusion of melodic heaviness and groove, inspired by the harsh environment and wilderness of the north. Experience the power and versatility of our music, which broadly covers different elements of metal music, guided by the attitude of the frost-bitten north. Northvoid isn’t just music – it’s a journey into the heart of coldness and wilderness.

DARK DRIVEN Release Video for New Track ‘Through Waves of Sand’

Sweden’s Dark Driven have just unveiled the mesmerizing video for ‘Through Waves of Sand’, the latest glimpse into their highly anticipated debut full-length From the Unbeliever, dropping Friday 21st March via Hammerheart Records.

Directed by the visionary Claudio Marino (Watain, Gaerea, Katatonia) and produced by Artax Film, the video is a stark, dreamlike descent; hypnotic, harrowing, and impossible to look away from.

Frontman Filip comments on the track and video: “The theme of the song revolves around a love story that takes a dark turn. Add a touch of witchcraft, and the scene is set. I have known Claudio since my time as the vocalist for Corporation 187, when he played in a band called Roswell here in Linköping. Our bands shared the stage on several occasions, giving me the opportunity to witness his creative talent firsthand. Over the years, I have followed his work closely, and when I approached him to create the video for this song, he exceeded all our expectations. His dedication and expertise truly stand out, and we couldn’t be happier with what he has delivered.“

Order From The Unbeliever here: https://darkdriven.lnk.to/fromtheunbeliever

Dark Driven’s debut doesn’t merely flirt with darkness; it inhabits it. There’s a rawness here that feels simultaneously classic and refreshingly new, blending gothic melancholy with a relentless drive. You can expect music that is as uncompromising as it is evocative, bleak yet beautiful, with a depth that demands multiple listens to fully unravel. This isn’t just an album; it’s a journey into the abyss, with Dark Driven as the dark architects leading the way.

From the Unbeliever isn’t here to bow to trends or polish up for radio play; this is metal for those who prefer their music with shadows intact.

• Mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö at Unisound AB (Dissection, Opeth, Marduk, Skeletal Remains)
• Produced by Joakim Rimhagen and Filip Leo
• Artwork and layout by Filip Leo, inspired by an idea from photographer Maria Åsén

EYES have just released their second single ‘Save Face on a Regular Basis’ featuring guest vocals from Jesse Matthewson of KEN Mode. The single is taken from their forthcoming album ‘SPINNER’, out April 25th via Prosthetic Records.

“Save Face is one of the earliest cuts that actually made the album – i think it shows in the sense that it’s by far the most krauty, noise-rocky, full throttle kinda song. It shares a bit of the DNA with Congratulations, but at the same time is very much of this album.

We wanted a feature on the song and it had to be Jesse, or none at all.

Few people can channel pure insanity through their voice alone like him, and it matches the part perfectly. We’re extremely grateful that he wanted to be a part of the album and hope we can do it live one day!” – EYES

Stream Save Face on a Regular Basis via Apple Music, TIDAL, Deezer, Bandcamp and Spotify
Pre-order SPINNER here.

Upcoming tour dates:

May 3rd: FEYESTIVAL, Pumpehuset – Copenhagen, Denmark
May 10th: Ilter Festival – Odense, Denmark
June 19th: Copenhell – Copenhagen, Denmark
July 12th: 2000 Trees – Withington, UK
August 15th: ArcTanGent – Somerset, UK

EYES is:
Victor Kaas – vocals
Rasmus Furbo – guitar
Søren Bomand – guitar/backing vox
Kenn Bendtsen – bass
Simon Djurhuus – drums

Italian crust / grindcore squad HORRID HUMAN CONDITION returns with a blistering new single off their upcoming debut album, “Perpetual Imbalance”, which will be released on April 18th 2025 via Time To Kill Records.

Watch the video of “Heavy Burden” HERE.

The band commented:

“‘Heavy Burden’ is one of our latest tracks and stylistically highlights our main influences: crust punk in a more aggressive form, bordering on grindcore.
The song deals with humanity’s ongoing struggle against injustice and abuse of power, forced to live daily amidst fear and uncertainty, increasingly caught in a relentless fight for survival. Living a dignified life, which should be a right for everyone, has become a privilege for the few.
The music video was filmed at the Caserma Liberata in Bari, a place known for its social inclusivity and a key symbol of the underground scene in which the band thrives”.

Formed in the summer of 2022, the band emerged when Alessandro (vocals), Claudio (guitar), and Marino (bass) joined forces with Carlo (drums). Drawing from their parallel experiences in projects like laCasta and Nigredo, their synergy was undeniable. Within months, the band had written 14 powerful tracks, debuted live in March 2023, and recorded their material by December of the same year.

The name HORRID HUMAN CONDITION reflects the band’s visceral critique of modern society. Their music captures the existential and social despair of a world where systems designed to govern and sustain instead serve the wealthy and powerful—leaving the majority to bear the consequences. Themes of disillusionment with money, religion, morals, and politics dominate their lyrical landscape, exposing these as mere instruments of control.

Musically, the band channels this intense message through a raw fusion of crust punk and grindcore, genres perfectly suited to convey feelings of chaos and urgency. Expect a sonic assault of sharp, high-pitched guitars, sludgy, acidic basslines, machine-gun-like drumming, and vocals that scream with desperate energy. Their live performances are a cathartic and visceral experience, where the band forges an unbreakable bond with their audience.

With a debut full of fury and conviction, HORRID HUMAN CONDITION is poised to leave their mark on the extreme music scene. Time To Kill Records is proud to support their vision and looks forward to bringing their raw energy to a wider audience.
