1349 Sign With Season of Mist for Worldwide Record Deal, Embark on Japanese Tour

Norwegian black metal tyrants 1349 have signed with Season of Mist for a new record deal that will see label representation for the band worldwide.

Regarding their signing, the band comments: “We are currently in the early creative stages of our new art offering and we are exited to confirm that we have extended our agreement with partners Season of Mist – this time handling the release worldwide.”

1349 are embarking on a headlining Japanese tour which begins on March 10th. The tour sees the band brining their ferocious black metal across Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo, before playing in the UK. A full list of confirmed tour dates can be found below. The Japanese tour dates see 1349 being supported by Norwegian prog pioneers ARCTURUS.

1349 is touring in support of their new album, ‘Massive Cauldron of Chaos’. The album, which has been called a “another career-defining release which will surely confirm their place among black metal’s more promising groups.” (Sputnik Music), and a “musical, versatile effort that should earn 1349 a high degree of respect going forward” (Metal Injection) is streaming here. Norwegian black metal tyrants 1349 announced a new tour of Mexico, reports Season Of Mist. The 4 city trek begins January 28 and hits Mexico City, San Luis Potosi, Monterrey, and Guadalajara.

The Mexican tour will follow 1349‘s recently announced North American tour. Sponsored by CVLT NATION, the “Chaos Raids U.S.A. 2016” tour kicks off on January 9 and sees support from TOMBS and FULL OF HELL. A full list of confirmed tour dates can be found below.

Norwegian black metal tyrants 1349 and cult death metal pioneers NECROPHAGIA have announced special guests for different regions of the new North American “Chaos Raids” tour. The “Chaos Raids” tour kicks off on May 30 and includes VATTNET VISKAR. Added to the tour are BLACK ANVIL for the performances in Baltimore and Brooklyn, ATRIARCH in Seattle and Portland, and EARLY GRAVES will be performing in Oakland and San Diego respectively. Norwegian black metal tyrants 1349 have added more shows to their headlining U.S. tour, issues Season Of Mist. New dates include shows in New Orleans, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, and more. Support on this tour comes from ORIGIN, ABYSMAL DAWN, and WOLVHAMMER. A full list of confirmed tour dates can be found below.

1349’s critically acclaimed new album, ‘Massive Cauldron of Chaos’was recently for a Spellemann award, (the Norwegian equivalent of a Grammy) in the in the “Best Metal Album” category. The Spellemann awards will be presented on January 17.

Founded in  Norway in 1997, 1349 have remained a constant influence on the Norwegian black metal scene. With a penchant for lightning speed riffing, blazing drums, and apocalyptic lyrics, the band has trail-blazed the underground, surpassing many of their peers through brute musical force. Following a a trio of landmark albums, namely 2003’s Liberation, 2004’s Beyond the Apocalypse, and 2005’s Hellfire, 1349 is set to re-establish their dominance in the world-wide extreme metal scene.
