Welcome to your time in Limbo! This is the fourth album by Norwegian progressive thrashers 66CRUSHER, and the second one on Gymnocal Industries. Limbo will be released on February 17th. The themes this time revolve around dying, what happens after death, trench life during the first World War, a forever sailing ghost ship, and uncovering ancestral secrets.
Limbo is not a concept album, but lingering and being stuck in time or between two worlds is a red thread throughout the album. Musically the band has developed a lot from “Wanderer” (2015), but you can very much see the lineage all the way back to the 2007 debut “Truth Unmasked”. Fast and aggressive, yes, but always making room for great hooks and melodies. Never fearing to do something unexpected to throw the listeners out of their comfort zone.
The band recorded most of the album in their home studio, except drums, which were handled by Herbrand Larsen in Conclave & Earshot Studios. All vocals, keys and bass by Jarle Olsvoll. Guitars were done by Jarle and Martin Legreid. Drums by Håkon Bergstad.
Mixing and mastering by Russ Russell at Parlour Studios in UK.

Norwegian Progressive Metallers 66CRUSHER have announced the details of their sophomore album ”Blackest Day”, which is scheduled for release on Misanthropica Enterprises on the 20th May. This is the second release from 66CRUSHER on the San Diego, California, based label, which had previously released the band’s much acclaimed debut album ”Truth Unmasked”. Guitars, vocals, bass and keys on ”Blackest Day” were recorded by the band themselves, but the rest was handled at Bergen’s Conclave and Earshot Studios, by two of Norway’s leading producers and musicians. Bjornar Nilsen (VULTURE INDUSTRIES, BLACK HOLE GENERATOR), known for his work with HELHEIM and TAAKE, amongst others, recorded the drums, whilst the mixing was done by Herbrand Larsen (ENSLAVED, AUDREY HORNE).
