Two forces from opposite sides of the underground converge as post black metal project BLOOD MOTHER and industrial horror outfit ANTHROPONEURAL join forces for a two-track collaboration that blurs the boundaries between extreme metal, industrial techno, and cinematic horror.
Rather than simply combining genres, the collaboration treats them as different expressions of the same darkness: weight, tension, distortion, atmosphere, and release. The result is a pair of tracks built for listeners who live somewhere between the mosh pit and the warehouse floor. The offering can now be heard at THIS LOCATION.
“The New Flesh” plunges into a world of mechanical violence and psychological unease, combining the relentless physicality of industrial techno with the darker textures of extreme metal and horror cinema. Driven by pounding electronic rhythm, distorted sonic architecture, ominous melodic elements, and visceral vocal material, the track feels less like a conventional genre crossover and more like the soundtrack to something mutating in real time. It is cold, physical, hypnotic, and threatening—music for the moment when machinery, flesh, and consciousness begin to blur together.
Where “The New Flesh” feels mechanical and brutal, “The Night Fires” moves deeper into the cinematic and ritualistic. The track builds an atmosphere of nocturnal dread around heavy electronic propulsion, dark melodic textures, and the sense of something ancient moving beneath the surface.
Rather than following a traditional metal or techno structure, “The Night Fires” unfolds like a horror sequence—building tension, introducing increasingly ominous textures, and allowing the electronic and metal elements to become part of the same sonic landscape. Together, the two tracks form a natural pairing:
“The New Flesh” — the machine.
“The Night Fires” — the ritual.
Two worlds. One dark frequency. Blood Mother’s visceral approach to heavy music meets Anthroponeural’s obsession with industrial rhythm, horror atmosphere, and cinematic sound design, creating a collaboration that refuses to sit neatly inside either genre.
For fans of industrial metal, extreme metal, hard techno, dark electronic music, horror soundtracks, and the darker corners of underground culture, the two tracks offer a meeting point between the club and the abyss.
This isn’t metal with a techno beat added. It isn’t techno dressed up in metal aesthetics.
It’s something built from the same raw materials: distortion, aggression, tension, darkness, and release. Enter the dark.

Rick Giordano, the composer behind THE LION’S DAUGHTER, has re-emerged as BLOOD MOTHER, a devastating new project that combines the post black metal horrors of TLD with haunting, atmospheric soundscapes and Western Americana attitude. Forged in themes of isolation, paranoia, violence and terror, dark and synth-driven ambience coalesces with bouts of chaotic and desperate black metal, while also honing in on the grit and desolation that was no doubt inspired by Giordano’s upbringing in the rugged American heartlands. Combined with the commanding aggression of Giordano’s vocal attack, BLOOD MOTHER offers the score to your own personal horror film.
BLOOD MOTHER recently debuted its first studio album, which can be found at THIS LOCATION and can be ordered via the official webstore HERE or via Bandcamp HERE.
Giordano is accompanied on this self titled debut album by Erik Ramsier, long time drummer and percussionist for the Lion’s Daughter, with artwork by renowned graphic novelist The Salamander King.
ANTHROPONEURAL is a dark electronic entity operating at the intersection of hard industrial techno, extreme metal, and cinematic horror.
Built from pounding rhythms, distorted electronics, ominous synths, and ritualistic sound design, Anthroponeural creates music that feels less like a genre and more like an environment—somewhere between a warehouse rave, a horror film, and a descent into something primal.
The sound draws from hard techno, industrial, metal, horror cinema, and experimental electronics, combining relentless physicality with dark cinematic atmosphere.
Ritual-grade techno from the abyss.

Accompanied on this self-titled debut album by Erik Ramsier, longtime drummer and percussionist for the Lion’s Daughter, with artwork by renowned graphic novelist The Salamander King, BLOOD MOTHER isn’t just a reboot, but rather a reinvention. While it still draws from many of THE LION’S DAUGHTER’s original influences, and therefore, the project also defies generic classification much like its predecessor, BLOOD MOTHER is still a clear evolution from what came before. “After 18 years of releasing music and touring the world, the daughter had to die so that the mother could live,” explains Giordano of the new project.
As a fully independent entity, BLOOD MOTHER has no chains, no bounds, and no master. Self-releasing this project with the help of world renowned independent artist manager Wolf Mountain Productions, Giordano is paving his own path and asserting his dominance over the oppressive music industry. Like a renegade cowboy, he joins the ranks of other modern artists who have abandoned all standards and practices to usher in a new era of artist ownership and DIY supremacy. “I’ve never been a person that neatly fits in with any group, or made music that neatly fits into any category, so it just makes sense to operate independently,” Giordano explains. “I also look at the current state of the music and most of the bands that are popular now, and think why the fuck would I want anything to do with that?”
Like a ghost riding out from the desert, Blood Mother is here to paint the town a shade of red found only in Hell… before burning it all to the ground.
