Acclaimed Metal band ARTHEMIS have signed a deal with Scarlet Records for the release of their new album ‘Blood-Fury-Domination’.
Widely recognized as a ground-breaking live band, ARTHEMIS’ career is marked by several amazing shows full of energy and true passion. The band performed at some of the biggest Metal festivals in the world (Download Festival, Hellfest Open Air, Wacken Open Air, Bloodstock Open Air, Gods Of Metal, Hard Rock Hell, Hammerfest and many more) and toured relentlessly since day one, eventually becoming the ultimate road-warriors. But they have also delivered 7 full-length killer studio albums (plus the astonishing ‘Live From Hell – Live In The UK’), proving that when it’s about time to forge a new studio release they always deliver power and glory and give all they got to give: blood, sweat, tears and fury.
Their brand new album ‘Blood-Fury-Domination’ is absolutely over the top! Massive production, uplifting songs, sing-along choruses and a true wall-of-sound that mixes the deepest roots of Metal with modern influences and hooks. Songs like ‘Undead’, ‘Black Sun’, ‘Into The Arena’, ‘Warcry’ and ‘Blood Red Sky’ prove them right and will resonate in your heads forever. This true piece of art absolutely means “no compromise”! Love it or leave it! It clearly screams “We are Arthemis and we’re gonna get you all”! Definitely one more album you must add to your collection if your life is driven by passion and true Metal! ‘Blood-Fury Domination’ has been mixed by Simone Mularoni (DGM) and will see the light of the day on April 7th, 2017.
This week’s Blackdiamond’s Metal Mayhem will be on http://www.totalrock.com from 10am GMT on Tuesday 3rd March and is a “We Are The Fire” Special!
GUS G. and ARTHEMIS will be featured, both with interviews recorded at the Rescue Rooms in Nottingham UK, on the first date of the “We Are The Fire” European Tour 2015 and of course there will be songs from both bands.
The show is repeated every week on Saturday afternoons from 4pm GMT and if you want to listen to any older ones, they can be found on Mixcloud at this location.
Italian metallers ARTHEMIS were formed by guitarist Andy Martongelli back in 1999 and are the epitome of a hardworking metal band, with their thrashing, catchy heavy music! The band’s most recent album, “Live From Hell” was released in 2014 and recorded at Hard Rock Hell VII.
ARTHEMIS are now well into the “We Are The Fire” European Tour with GUS G. I caught up with guitarist Andy and drummer Kekko before the first show of the tour in Nottingham on 20th February. We discussed everything from the band and live music to cakes! Check out some excerpts below and the full chat on the audio player:
Andy Martongelli, ARTHEMIS, With Blackdiamond Nottingham 2015
Discussing ARTHEMIS in general since the release of last studio album “We Fight” in 2012, Kekko stated:
“We had some line-up changes – the rhythm section – bass and drummer (me!) and we recorded the live album “Live From Hell” with the new line-up which is great, very tight.”
Andy continued: “Me and Kekko were in Powerquest back in the day so we’ve known each other forever. JT the bass player is my good friend from 2002. This time it was so easy to get the real deal, the real Arthemis back as we wanted.”
The guys talked about what’s going on with the band at the moment and their views on playing the live circuit:
“We’re just writing a bunch of riffs here and there, putting together ideas. We’re working on the album, trying to find the right direction, cos we got so many ideas.
Five years ago you would see a tour, some gigs and studio album. But now, you see two years of touring sometimes. Probably, the proper album is not considered that much these days compared to the past, but the live scene is amazing now!
It makes it more like back in the seventies – where you had to see the real deal and see if the band is really good – they had to prove it straight away. We’ve been confirmed for a festival with Obituary and Angra for the summer and some more news to come soon. We keep gigging, so that’s good!”
