Blackdiamond’s Metal Mayhem on 29th November 2016 will be the start of its 4th birthday celebrations on http://www.totalrock.com! The show will feature an interview with Emrah Demirel from Turkish metallers PITCH BLACK PROCESS, as well as playing tracks from their forthcoming album “Derin”, set for release on 3rd December via David Ellefson‘s EMP Label Group.
Also on the show, new singles from AVERSIONS CROWN, FIREWIND, NIGHTWISH and GREYBEARDS.
The META(L)SCOPE will be highlighting old school Japanese metal band SOLITUDE with tracks from their “Reach For The Sky” album.

This week’s Blackdiamond’s Metal Mayhem on Tuesday 12th April is a special show starring guitarist Tomi Koivusaari from Finnish metal legends AMORPHIS. You will hear the recently recorded interview with Tomi conducted by our Senior Manager Alison Booth (who also has the radio show on TotalRock) at their recent show in Nottingham, along with specially selected tracks. The show also features another chat with Uri Dijk from Dutch metallers TEXTURES, also recorded in Nottingham.

Metal Shock Finland Chief Editor, Mohsen Fayazi and Senior Manager Alison Booth have joined together in partnership with their respective other areas of work: Stargazer Consultancy and Blackdiamond’s Metal Mayhem.Stargazer was set up to be a useful guidance in the rock and metal music industry. Some of the services on offer include custom artist biography and press release writing, designing and licence negotiation. Blackdiamond’s Metal Mayhem is a weekly rock and metal show on UK radio station TotalRock.
Mohsen “Stargazer” Fayazi
Mohsen has built his career in the music industry over the last seven years, beginning by writing many music articles on the popular online encyclopaedia, Wikipedia, in 2009.
He then started working with renowned Middle Eastern metal webzine Jorzine in 2010 and began conducting the first of many interviews to come.
In 2011, Mohsen was invited by Metal Shock Finland President Tarja Virmakari to join the team. He was soon a major contributor in creating the well respected rock and metal news source that the online magazine is today and became Chief Editor.
During this time, Mohsen has forged strong relationships with record labels such as Nuclear Blast, Century Media and many more. A plethora of interviews have taken place over the years, with esteemed artists including Wolf Hoffmann (ACCEPT), Michael Weikath, Markus Grosskopf (HELLOWEEN), Jon Schaffer (ICED EARTH), Arjen Anthony Lucassen (AYREON) and Steve DiGiorgio (DEATH, CONTROL DENIED, TESTAMENT and more). Many thought provoking reviews and articles have been written.
Another area of work is designing high quality banners, posters and logos, some examples are all the headers and logos seen on the Metal Shock Finland website and social media. Posters have also been designed for metal legends ACCEPT, notably for Sweden Rock Festival in 2013, along with being official Ambassador for the band in Iran, as well as doing promotional work.
Mohsen has worked for two Iranian death metal bands in the role of agent and manager. He has been instrumental in spreading their names worldwide, as well as securing a record contract.
Mohsen created the specialist sister magazine to Metal Shock Finland, a quarterly production by the name of Metal Shock Times.
The magazine has focused on aspects of the music industry, reports, reviews and interviews.
Alison Booth (AKA Blackdiamond)
Alison’s career in the industry has been built over the last five years, starting in 2011 by initially joining Metal Shock Finland as an Author. This consisted of writing daily news articles, reviewing new albums and interviewing artists, then progressing to becoming Senior Manager and also Utilifests Project Manager; arranging partnerships with rock and metal festivals worldwide. Festivals supported include Wildfire, Metal Crowd, Brutal Assault and Devilstone.
In 2012 she joined the long running excellent English radio station TotalRock, presenting a weekly two hour show, Blackdiamond’s Metal Mayhem amongst a team of stellar DJ’s. Featuring bands worldwide, many guest artists have appeared for a chat on the show including Michael Schenker, Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth (OVERKILL), Andi Deris (HELLOWEEN), Nigel Glockler (SAXON) and Glenn Hughes. As well as big named bands, Alison also supports new bands and frequently features their material on the show.
Alison also has built solid relationships with record companies, promoting their band’s music through her radio show and with press releases, reviews and interviews on Metal Shock Finland. She is an experienced writer, having had reviews published in AOR magazine.
Alison has worked with ACCEPT as Ambassador for the UK.

Tobias Sammet’s AVANTASIA are set to unleash their seventh album “Ghostlights” to fans worldwide on 29th January via Nuclear Blast and it is the sequel to 2013’s “The Mystery Of Time”. The first Blackdiamond’s Metal Mayhem of 2016 will be a Tribute To Lemmy Special Show on Tuesday 5th January, starting at 6PM GMT on http://www.totalrock.com. As well as many MOTÖRHEAD classic tracks to be played in memory of Ian Lemmy Kilmister, the show will also feature a chat with I.C.O.N drummer and huge MOTÖRHEAD fan Larry Paterson.

Metal heavyweights ACCEPT are back on the road again with their “Blind Rage Part IV” tour, finishing on 16th December in Bulgaria. The stalwarts of the metal world have travelled the globe since the release of their current and 14th album “Blind Rage” in 2014, which hit number one in the charts in Germany and Finland, delivering dynamic performances over and over again to faithful fans, now spanning generations.
Metal Shock Finland Senior Manager Alison Booth also has a radio show, Blackdiamond’s Metal Mayhem, every Tuesday from 6PM on http://www.totalrock.com. She recently had a chat with Wolf, as part of the show’s third birthday celebrations, prior to ACCEPT‘s one-off UK show at The Forum in London on 7th December. Wolf spoke of the forthcoming tour and plans for the follow up to their last album “Blind Rage”. “We’ve been hitting it so hard these last five years. We could’ve already started, but it was so nice not to jump right into the studio after all this touring for Blind Rage.
In January Peter and I will lock ourselves away and the cycle will start again. It’s gonna be ready when it’s gonna be ready, but we’re trying to get something out next year, or something ready next year, recorded.”
