Eagle Booking issues that After announcing AT THE GATES, IN.SI.DIA, MASTER, DESASTER, HOUR OF PENANCE and NECRODEATH, we are finally able to disclose the complete lineup for the upcoming edition of Metalitalia.com Festival 2014, set to take place on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Live Music Club in Trezzo (Milan). The festival’s pre-headliner will be Finland’s IMPALED NAZARENE, who are about to release their new album, “Vigorous And Liberating Death”! The band need no introduction as they are one of the forerunners of the north European extreme metal scene. From black metal to black’n’roll, from the underground to the biggest metal happenings in the world, they have always stood out from the mass and never compromised.
The lineup is wrapped up by Italy’s deathsters ANY FACE, soon out with the new record “Perpetual Motion Of Deceit”, and by fellow countrymen GAME OVER, up and coming thrash metal band who have been getting great press and support from the local scene for the last few years.

Legendary Swedish melodic death metallers AT THE GATES will be playing their only 2014 gig in The Netherlands at Eindhoven Metal Meeting. They’ll be on tour showcasing the new album ‘At War With Reality’ – the band’s first new opus since 1995’s all-time classic ‘Slaughter Of The Soul’.
PRIMORDIAL – flying in exclusively for The Netherlands’ hardest festival – are currently in the studio recording their new album and Dutch metallers URFAUST are gearing up for another exclusive ritual.
Gothenburg based melodic death metallers AT THE GATES have recently announced a comeback studio album in the classic line-up of their latest masterpiece, “Slaughter Of The Soul” (1995), the band now proudly presents its European touring plans. AT THE GATES will be joined by label mates TRIPTYKON and MORBUS CHRON during the UK/EU shows in December:
“We are very excited for this tour. It will be our first proper tour of Europe since 1996. As we have been playing only festivals in Europe since the reunion in 2008, this will be the first chance for us to meet the fans of Europe in a more intimate environment. Playing live for our own crowd, our own people in smaller clubs is something that is essential to us as a band and we are looking forward to finally being able to deliver a full AT THE GATES show in this setting, without having to work around the schedules and conditions of bigger festivals. It will also be the first time ever that we will be able to present some new compositions in a live setting – as the new album will be released by then. It’s hard and uncompromising and I think the new songs will work great live next to the old songs.
As for going out together with TRIPTYKON, we couldn’t be more thrilled. I have always looked upon the work of Thomas Gabriel Fischer as a great source of inspiration. From naming my first band, Grotesque after a line in a Celtic Frost song back in 1988, to the mighty comeback with his new reincarnation with TRIPTYKON. Seeing them live every day for three weeks will be mind-blowing.
As for the opener MORBUS CHRON…they have just released one of the most exciting albums of modern death metal in a long while. They remind me so much of the spirit of early AT THE GATES. It’s as if every note is important and fills a certain purpose. It’s dark, it’s beautiful and it’s sincere. One of the most outstanding “new” bands for sure.

Eagle Booking has announced the first bands to the third edition of Metalitalia.com Festival, scheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Live Music Club in Trezzo (Milan).
For the headlining slot we are immensely proud to announce a special show by the legendary AT THE GATES. A great news that comes only a couple of days after their statement regarding a new album scheduled for fall 2014 on Century Media Records.
This will be the first indoor concert in Italy since 1996, when the band was busy supporting the acclaimed “Slaughter of the Soul” album, a true milestone in Swedish death metal history.
The Live Club will also see the return of Italian thrashers IN.SI.DIA! After announcing their reunion earlier this January, the band is about to resume live activity. Their show will present all the classics from the “Istinto e Rabbia” and “Guarda Dentro Te” albums, both to be considered seminal records for the Italian metal scene, recently reissued by Jolly Roger Records.
Finally we are really happy to present the irreducible MASTER, lead as always by His Majesty Paul Speckmann. Get ready for an old school death metal assault that will span all over their huge catalogue, from the classic debut album until the recent “The Witchhunt”.

Seminal Swedish Metallers AT THE GATES are back. Following the heat of an ample and highly praised live-reunion, the pioneers of the “Gothenburg style” melodic death metal sound have announced to be working on a comeback studio album in the classic line-up of their latest masterpiece effort from 1995, “Slaughter Of The Soul”, expected to be released worldwide by the end of 2014 via their new label partner Century Media Records.
AT THE GATES checked with the following comment statement:
“So, here we are almost 24 years since the birth of At The Gates, and some 18+ years since our latest album ‘Slaughter Of The Soul’. A lot of years have passed and we have embarked on some life-changing reunion tours and shows the last couple of years.
So, why make a new album you might ask, and why now? Well, what we learned from the last couple of years hanging out and playing shows together, is that we enjoy what we do to the fullest extent. We love playing music together, and we love to hang out as friends. But, as a musician, we constantly write new music. It’s a huge part of our identities.
We are fully aware that we have made some very drastic statements in interviews as well as the closing words on the DVD about the longevity of At The Gates, but things change, situations change and people change. When Anders sent the first song last summer, we had zero expectations of the outcome. We only knew one thing – That it sounded amazing! At the time we weren’t even sure there would be an album, but as things progressed, more songs came into existence, and we knew we were on to something great.
We know you are all curious about the new material, and to make a simple explanation of where we are at musically, we would describe it as a perfect mix between early At The Gates & ‘Slaughter of the Soul’-era At The Gates, trying to maintain the legacy and the history.
We chose Century Media as a worldwide partner for the upcoming album. We have all been friends for years with people at the label. Jonas & Anders have a history with The Haunted there (as well as Adrian with Paradise Lost).
So, we hope to bring you updates about the progress of the new album soon. The plan is to record the album in June/July with a tentative release in October / November of 2014 on Century Media Records.”
