The mighty TRUCKFIGHTERS’ own label, Fuzzorama Records, and Century Media Records team up to floor the gas and fuzz pedal. The Örebro, Sweden based band was formed in 2001 by Oskar “Ozo” Cedermalm (vocals & bass) and Niklas “Dango” Källgren (guitar). Since that time, they have released four studio albums and several more releases through their own label Fuzzorama Records – including the 2011 DVD documentary (Fuzzomentary) featuring guests such as Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age) and more friends from bands Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Witchcraft, Graveyard and more.
“Signing to Century Media Records is like kicking in the fuzz pedal with all knobs turned to 11 – maximum energy, maximum output and totally out of control!”, comments the band.
The new album “V” will be released worldwide through Fuzzorama in cooperation with Century Media Records on September 30th, 2016. To celebrate the band’s 15th anniversary and nearly 700 shows around the world, we’ve created a new website which allows fans to mark a TRUCKFIGHTERS show they have attended in the past. All gig dates and the names of the fans who sign in and mark their show will be printed in the special edition of the album. To join in and find more info please head over to http://truckfighters.centurymedia.com/.
Shortly after the album release, the TRUCKFIGHTERS will hit the road again to play an extensive European tour. Exact tour dates and further plans to play the rest of the world will be announced soon. Expect something big. Super fuzz big!

Century Media Records and Prowling Death Records are proud to announce the joint release of the HELLHAMMER ‘Blood Insanity’ 7″ vinyl single, originally conceived by the band in 1984.
The worldwide release date for the ‘Blood Insanity’ 7” (Which comes packaged in a gatefold sleeve) will be August 19th, 2016 and the pre-sale will begin via CM Distro / www.cmdistro.com on July 22nd, 2016.
Tom Gabriel Warrior: “In early 1984, after Hellhammer’s third demo Satanic Rites, Hellhammer bassist/singer Steve Warrior, Hellhammer roadie Marco Dinosaur Suremann, and I contemplated properly releasing some of the music Hellhammer had recorded the year before. We planned a NWOBHM-style 7″ vinyl single, containing two songs taken from the Triumph Of Death demo recording sessions of June 1983.
The single was to feature Blood Insanity as a title track, and Maniac as its b-side. The cover of the single was to be a photo taken by Hellhammer photographer Martin Kyburz in early 1983. We drafted a brief typewriter memo, recording the outline for this single proposal.
At the time, it was difficult and prohibitively expensive for a band to directly contract a manufacturing plant to produce a vinyl record without the involvement of a record company, so the single eventually remained a mere idea, while Hellhammer ultimately signed with Noise Records in West Berlin. The Blood Insanity single project thus languished in an unrealized state until the eventual dissolution of Hellhammer rendered any plans for further Hellhammer releases redundant.
Nonetheless, the unrealized single never really faded from my memory throughout all the commotion associated with Hellhammer’s past existence during the many years since the band’s termination. Moreover, Prowling Death Records, founded in my bedroom in 1983 to release the Hellhammer demos, had in the meantime become a proper record company. When I presented the idea to Century Media Records, the long-standing licensing partner of Prowling Death Records, they immediately pledged their support.
The original single was to be issued in a simple card sleeve; but the gatefold format now chosen allows us the luxury to expand the visual presentation: the outside representing the single exactly as it was to be in 1984, the inside adding information about the project’s history.
The result is this single, produced in full coordination with the Hellhammer members who played on these songs and designed as faithfully as possible in accordance with the original concept we devised 32 years ago. It features the Prowling Death Records number we originally assigned to it: PDR 007.”
The ‘Blood Insanity’ 7” release is limited to a one-time only pressing of 3,000 copies and will be available in the following vinyl editions:
Picture 7“ / 500 copies
Silver 7” / 300 copies (Century Media exclusive)

The worldwide release of the sophomore full-length album “The Northern Sanctuary” by Swedish progressive Death Metal duo WITHERSCAPE on July 22nd, 2016 (Italian street date; July 29th!) via Century Media Records is drawing nearer. Therefore, a next song off the release is being debuted online now.
Check out the extremely catchy track ‘In The Eyes Of Idols’ in a lyric-video designed by Cloud Music Typography here:
Multi-instrumentalist and producer Dan Swanö (ex Edge Of Sanity/Bloodbath, Nightingale, etc.), who partners up with fellow Swedish multi-instrumentalist Ragnar Widerberg in WITHERSCAPE, checked in to comment about the song and the album’s lyrical storyline as follows:
“There is a 50 year jump in the conceptual time line since “The Inheritance”. The Northern Sanctuary” picks up where we left off with the “The New Tomorrow” EP. The main character “Mannen i vitt” (The man in white) has now restored the house where all the horror initially happened and “Fristaden i Norr” (The Northern Sanctuary) is open for business! He rents out rooms to people from the big cities, who are aiming for some peaceful northern Swedish silence. But the entity still haunts the house and “Mannen i vitt” is possessed by it, so consequently he/it does terrible things to the “patients”. Since the house is built on one of the gates to hell, there’s a ritual taking place, opening the hellish dimension from where the evil entity once came, so it can go back there…”
Lyricist Paul Kuhr (Novembers Doom) fleshed out the story invented by the band and here are his complimentary own words on the lyrics for “In The Eyes Of Idols”:
“Daily life in the Sanctuary begins. Breakfast, social interaction, Aqua Therapy. The man in white struggles with his faith and prayer against the conventional methods he uses to cure the sick. Extreme procedures uncover oddities in behavior with the most severely mentally ill. Pushing the patients to their limits uncover “Gifts” within the strong. Unexplainable, and beautiful, powers that Science Fiction is based on. Praying for the answers, the man in white is met with other thoughts…”
The album’s opening track, ‘Wake Of Infinity’, was previously launched online and can be checked out here:
The track-listing for WITHERSCAPE‘s “The Northern Sanctuary” album reads as follows:
1. Wake Of Infinity (04:38)
2. In The Eyes Of Idols (03:58)

Following up on the refreshing impact of 2013’s much acclaimed debut album “The Inheritance” (“Album of the month” by Germany’s Rock Hard magazine and position # 97 in the official German sales charts) and 2014’s complimentary “The New Tomorrow” EP, “The Northern Sanctuary” is yet another mesmerizingly dense conceptual album, enhanced by breathtakingly powerful artwork courtesy of Hungarian artist Gyula Havancsák / www.hjules.com (Nightingale, Destruction, Tyr, etc.).
WITHERSCAPE’s “The Northern Sanctuary” seamlessly blends the best elements of the band’s 70’s/80’s Prog/Hardrock and even AOR roots with contemporary, yet always atmospheric and subtle extreme Metal. Its infectious catchiness will doubtlessly appeal to the passionate followers of Swanö’s diverse artistic catalogue, but also to fans of bands like Opeth, Amorphis or Symphony X.
Finnish melodic deathsters INSOMNIUM have now revealed the cover artwork for their upcoming album “Winter’s Gate”.
“Winter’s Gate” is a concept album that is made of one epic 40 minute song. The album is built around a short story “Winter’s Gate” (Talven portti in Finnish) by vocalist & bassist Niilo Sevänen, which won awards and nominations in Finland back in 2007 and 2008. It’s a story about a group of Vikings who set out to find a fabled island west from Ireland, even though the winter is drawing near.
The full story is released together with the album as a book that has the tale in English, Finnish and German – illustrated by the artist Teemu Tähkänen.
The album is currently being mixed by Dan Swanö at Unisound AB studio in Sweden. A worldwide release through Century Media Records will be out September 23rd 2016. Tour dates for autumn and winter will be announced soon.

PERIPHERY, the D.C.-based prog innovators who have graced the covers of Modern Drummer, Guitar World and Revolver, return this summer with a new album, “Periphery III: Select Difficulty” which is set for a release via Century Media Records outside of North America, Australia/NZ and Japan on July 22nd, 2016.
“’Periphery III: Select Difficulty’ is finally complete and we’re extremely excited to show everyone,” said guitar player Jake Bowen.“For the past couple of years we’ve been refining our collaborative process as a band and we feel that it’s only getting better with the completion of this album. We spent two months writing songs that are not only representative of the PERIPHERY sound but also reflect where all of us are as musicians, working together has helped us tread new ground musically and creatively. In support of ‘Periphery III’ you’ll see us hit the road in the States this summer with SikTh, Chon, and Toothgrinder on the Sonic Unrest tour, it’s going to be a blast! See you on the road!”
Beforehand the band will head over to the UK to play the prestigious Download Festival on June 12.
PERIPHERY’s own Adam “Nolly” Getgood oversaw production for the album as he did with the “Juggernaut” releases. Nolly will no longer be a touring member of PERIPHERY, as he will be expanding his production work in his native UK. He remains an integral part, and a member, of PERIPHERY. At this time no decision has been made about a touring bassist.
“Touring with PERIPHERY has shown me some of the most incredible experiences I could ever have imagined, to meet amazing people all over the world and to create friendships for life; it has truly been an honour to perform in front of every audience who has watched us play over the years. However the touring life isn’t something that everyone can continue doing indefinitely, and for me, the time has come where I want to settle into a more normal existence, be able to make plans further into the future than the touring life enables, and to be able to focus more on the studio side of my music career,” explained Nolly. “I will, however, be remaining as a band member and contributing in any way that I can while the band is off the road; I love all of my fellow bandmates like brothers and I’m so grateful for the incredible support they’ve shown as I make this huge life change. I know they are going to be taking the music and performances to the next level when they hit the road later this year.”
The band will host a four-day, immersive summer camp dubbed the “Periphery Summer Jam” on July 25 to 29 at the Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, New York. Registration and further information can be found here.
