DARK TRANQUILLITY has released an official video for “The Science Of Noise”, taken from their latest album, Construct, out via Century Media Records. The clip can be viewed below.
The band comments: “The festival season has just started, which is a good reason to release our very live based video clip for ‘The Science Of Noise’. The bulk of the material was shot during last year’s ‘World Construct’ tour, but for various reasons the video wasn’t completed until now.
Also, we’re very pleased to welcome Erik Jacobson (from the Gothenburg-based DEALS DEATH) as a stand-in guitarist while Niklas is busy with parental duties. Furthermore, our old brother Anders Iwers (TIAMAT, AVATARIUM, CEREMONIAL OATH) is handling the bass guitar, making this a very special run. Hope to see as many of you as possible at the shows!”
DARK TRANQUILLITY will release their 10th album, Construct, on May 27th in Europe, and May 28th in North America, via Century Media.
Construct features artwork by the band’s own guitarist Niklas Sundin. Check it out below:
Construct tracklisting:
‘For Broken Words’
‘The Science Of Noise’
‘Uniformity’
‘The Silence In Between’
‘Apathetic’
‘What Only You Know’
‘Endtime Hearts’
‘State Of Trust’
‘Weight Of The End’
‘None Becoming’
The new video, for the track ‘Uniformity’, directed by Revolver Film Company and Patric Ullaeus (N FLAMES, HAMMERFALL, LACUNA COIL), has made it’s online premier.
The band comments about the video: “After the introspective ‘For Broken Words’ and the uptempo riffing of ‘The Science of Noise’, it’s time to showcase the more anthemic aspects of the new album with the song ‘Uniformity’. In contrast to the more experimental promo videos we made last year, we wanted the ‘Uniformity’ clip to be an intimate and genuine performance video. Nothing but the music itself and the band members playing in the rehearsal room. For this, we hired renowned director Patric Ullaeus, and we’re very happy to share the result with you. Stand up and be counted!”

DARK TRANQUILLITY recently amicably parted ways with bassist Daniel Antonsson. According to the band, “Daniel wanted to focus on his own musical projects as well as working more in his recording studio. Being first and foremost a guitarist, he felt that the playing bass in a full-time band didn’t allow him much time for his main instrument and true passion. With this in mind, he chose to follow his heart and step aside at this point instead of committing to another album and an intense touring cycle that would leave little room for other activities.”
