CORRODED – mostly known as the band behind the main soundtrack ‘Age of Rage’ for the free to play First Person Shooter game Battlefield Play4Free. Check it out below:

CORRODED was formed 2004 and quickly went from unknown to household in their native country, when national TV station TV4 handpicked their debut-single “Time and Again” to accompany the promotion of their blockbuster show “Expedition Robinson” internationally known as “Survivor”. CORRODED went straight into the Swedish albumchart at #6 with their second album “Exit To Transfer”, following up on the success of their debutalbum “Eleven Shades of Black” 2009. No sign of weakness or willingness to fit any other mold than the one that they created with the debutalbum the second album “Exit to Transfer” dug deep within the same influences as before with the heavy rock acts of the 70:s with additional layers of a more modern sound shining through. With the third album “State Of Disgrace” the band has again worked with Swedish platinum selling producer Patrik Frisk at Ninetone Records and the sound is again refined, dark, heavy and very, very CORRODED.

CORRODED Performs Two New Songs At Sweden’s GETAWAY ROCK; Video Available

Swedish hard rockers CORRODED performed a brand new song, “More Than You Can Chew”, and their new single, “I Am The God”, during their July 7 appearance at the Getaway Rock Festival in Gävle, Sweden. Both tracks will be included on the band’s as-yet-untitled third album, to be released on September 5 via Ninetone Records.

Fan-filmed video footage of the two new songs can be seen below.

CORRODED‘s new CD was once again helmed by Swedish producer Patrik Frisk and its sound is described as “melodic, dark, heavy and very, very CORRODED.”

The band was formed 2004 and quickly went from unknown to household in their native country, when national TV station TV4 handpicked their debut-single “Time and Again” to accompany the promotion of their blockbuster show “Expedition Robinson” internationally known as “Survivor”. CORRODED went straight into the Swedish albumchart at #6 with their second album “Exit To Transfer”, following up on the success of their debutalbum “Eleven Shades of Black” 2009. CORRODED‘s second album “Exit To Transfer” came out on last October, via Ninetone Records…  Some days ago I had a change to interview Jens Westin (singer and lead guitar) and Peter Sjödin (Guitar), and this what they told me…

 Hi Jens and Peter, I’m Tarja. Welcome to Metal Shock Finland! what was your first thought of this morning?

J: I think that speak for the whole band when I say, we really need a shower (no showers at the venue yesterday).

What makes you so corroded? what is the story behind your band name?

P: We are all old farts 🙂 and all metal eventually goes corroded in the end.

CORRODED: Behind-The-Scenes Footage From Making Of ‘Age Of Rage’

Swedish rockers CORRODED have just released a brand new behind-the-scenes video detailing the making of the “Age Of Rage” soundtrack for the upcoming Electronic Arts (EA Games) free-to-play First Person Shooter game Battlefield Play4Free. The soundtrack, produced by Swedish producer Patrik Frisk at Ninetone Records, will be included on the international release of CORRODED‘s new album, “Exit To Transfer” (also produced by Frisk).

“Exit To Transfer” will be released in North America on September 27 via Ninetone Records. The CD, which landed on the official Swedish chart at position No. 6, draws influence from the heavy rock acts of the 1970s with additional layers of a more modern sound shining through.
