I got lots of mails from people asking me about this video, so I decided to finally make it public again (This video was set to “private” directly after they guys from Strato had seen it).

The story behind it….
In early November 2010 I got a call from the Strato camp asking wether I would be available to fill in for Jörg on a very short notice, basically less than 10 days before the tour was supposed to begin.
When I told them I was indeed available, they then told me that aside from myself there were also two other drummers who were in the run for the job.

So I decided to take some action and drove to my rehearsal space where I shot this video in less than maybe 45 minutes to demonstrate I would be able to play and learn the material quickly enough.

It’s a 30 minute drive to my rehearsal space, so I listened to the song about 6 times until I had arrived there.

There I went over it another 6-7 times and then taped 3-4 performances until I had this one.

It had to be done in such a hurry because they had to make a decision very quickly.

I went for this song cos it has a lot of different elements in it that are all part of the Stratovarius style.

I guess it was the perfect choice of a song and also the right thing to do, because I ended up playing the tour and filling in for my friend Jörg.
