DEMONICAL Announces New Guitarist

Swedish death metallers DEMONICAL have announced the addition of guitarist Daniel Gustavsson to the group’s ranks. The band states, “Daniel has been touring with us as session member since early spring, and as all admission tests executed on the road turned out nothing but excellent, he therefore became the obvious choice for our vacant axe position. We welcome Daniel aboard. Let the madness begin!”

DEMONICAL will enter Necromorbus Studio (WATAIN, UNANIMATED, DESTRÖYER 666) in Alvik, Sweden in November to begin recording its fourth album for a tentative April/May 2013 release.

Commented DEMONICAL bassist Martin Schulman: “Five tunes were nailed and completed [during the pre-production phase of the next album], deadly material that is still good old death metal (which we all worship) but with some new perspectives and varied influences.”

DEMONICAL earlier in the year parted ways with guitarist Pablo Magallanes.

DEMONICAL‘s third album, “Death Infernal”, was released in April 2011 via Germany’s Cyclone Empire Records.

 

DEMONICAL To Tour Russia And Release New Album

Statement from DEMONICAL – the Masters of Swedish Death Metal Darkness:

“We are proud to announce our confirmation of a headlining tour through Russia this coming October. Our Swedish comrades in Spasmodic will join as support making this “Death Infernal Russia” crusade a lethal death metal firestorm. The tour will include concerts in Velikiye Luki, Izhevsk, Ekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod and various other cities. Exact dates and details to be announced within the nearest days.

We can also reveal that last weekend was spent at the Demonical headquarter rehearsing new material and making preparations for the pre-production phase of the next album. Five tunes were nailed and completed, deadly material that is still good old death metal (which we all worship) but with some new perspectives and varied influences.

The recordings of the next full-length will take place at Necromorbus studios on and off between mid-November and late January with a tentative release date in April/May 2013″.

DEMONICAL Parts Ways With Guitarist

“As a lot of people have asked us during the past months what’s up with the Demonical line-up we feel that it is time to sort things out.

Since February Pablo Magallanes is no longer a member of Demonical. Only about two months after he officially joined the band we had to part ways due to him moving back to South America and as a result of this, some of the shows during the spring were done as four-piece.

The timing of Pablo’s departure was not the best as Johan had already last autumn notified us that because of personal reasons he needs to take some time off from all touring activities during this summer.

However, Johan will be back again after the summer and everything will be back to normal. We have not yet decided and feel no rush in deciding what to do with the vacant guitarist slot. We will continue as a five-piece live – that’s for sure – but in which form (fulltime or session member) is yet to be decided.

As for now we have Daniel Gustavsson and Antti Kurvinen with us to fill in on guitars and so far everything has worked out incredible well.
The shows we have done this spring have been awesome – actually some of the best shows we have ever done – and we are all very much looking forward to the exciting festivals and club battles that we have ahead of us.

DEMONICAL european tour – Hungary added

A battle in Budapest, Hungary, has been added to the upcoming DEMONICAL “Summer Infernal tour”, their anticipated festival- and club campaign which kicks off at the Protzen Open Air in Germany during the Midsummer weekend. The complete and final routing is to be found below.
