More Headbanger’s Kitchen news – Demonstealer has just released a promo video for a brand new show called ‘Bacon Tadka‘. Check it out below:
“Ever since Headbanger’s Kitchen was started, my bacon creations have been the most popular, as well as the meat being a global phenomenon. So it seemed only natural to do something with bacon, but I wanted to do something unique and what better way than to baconize Indian food. So on the show we take classic Indian dishes and figure out a way to add bacon into it and still make it taste great. That’s what Bacon Tadka is all about” commented Demonstealer.
The show will release it’s first episode around the last week of January on the Headbanger’s KitchenChannel.
DEMONIC RESURRECTION frontman Sahil Makhija, better know as Demonstealer has launched a crowd funding campaign for his sophomore solo album, which is currently untitled. He aims to raise a sum of 4500$ over a period of 40 days through the newly launched platform http://www.fairfundr.com
Commented Demonstealer, “I’ve had this album in the works now for a long time and the songs have been ready for a while but given that I had albums to release from Workshop (my comedy rock band), Reptilian Death (my death metal project) and the new Demonic Resurrection album I barely had any time to breathe let alone put this album out. Now I finally have some time and I’m looking at a mid 2015 release of the album. The album is going to have 9 tracks with 3 bonus songs for the crowd funders and musically it’s different from what I’m doing with my other projects. It’s a lot more straight from the heart kind of stuff and I have some amazing musicians who will be gracing this album with their performances.”
Heavy metal cooking show Headbanger’s Kitchen hosted by DEMONIC RESURRECTION frontman Demonstealer has released the 6th episode of their current season. The new episode sees grindcore band GUTSLIT being interviewed and fed a Skewered Suar which is a BBQ pork skewer.
The biggest name on the Indian metal scene, DEMONIC RESURRECTION, have been a force in the metal world since their inception in the year 2000, releasing their debut album “Demonstealer” only nine months later. Their brand of demonic metal with vocalist and guitarist Demonstealer at the helm, has developed over the years, resulting in more recognition for the band outside of their home country. As with most bands, they have been through various line-up changes, but kept moving forward. Film maker Sam Dunn (Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey, Iron Maiden: Flight 666) featured DEMONIC RESURRECTION in his documentary ‘Global Metal’. The band went on to support the likes of AMON AMARTH and OPETH and they were also awarded the Metal Hammer Golden God for ‘Global Metal’ in 2010.
DEMONIC RESURRECTION recently released their latest album “The Demon King” while touring the UK. As well as performing at Les-Fest and Sonisphere, the band also took part in the UK ‘Thrash Invasion’ Tour with ARTILLERY and ONSLAUGHT, before going on to Wacken Open Air in Germany. Blackdiamond caught up with Demonstealer at the show in Sheffield on 18th July.

Discussing the difference between English and Indian metal fans, Demonstealer stated:
“There’s actually a huge difference, one being the age group. The fans in India are much younger, between the ages of 15-25, whereas here you have a much older audience. For this first tour it’s more like listening to us and seeing what we have to offer and in India it’s kind of break out the mosh pit from the first song! It’s a little bit different, but as long as people enjoy the music, at the end of the day passionate fans are passionate fans.”
Demonstealer expressed his thoughts on the fan’s reactions to “The Demon King” and revealed more about its content:
” So far the reaction we’ve been seeing online is very good from fans, very positive, and at the shows people have bought the album after hearing us play the songs. It’s going down well with people and that’s a good thing. The line-up that recorded the album was with our old guitarist Daniel Rego and he was with the band for a good five years. So I think the band chemistry was a little better and it was more cohesive as an album, it’s sounds more like the evolution of a band, rather than being just another album in your repertoire. You can see the change in the songwriting, even in the sound and it’s starting to sound more like Demonic Resurrection. We decided to write a new story for this one and the basic gist of the album lyrically is about the balance between good and evil. Does evil need to exist for good to exist and can they exist without one another. It’s the story of the resurrection of the Demon King, an ancient demon who has been asleep for centuries and he disrupts the balance of good and evil in the world and God decides to intervene and bring back the balance. What happens at the end, we leave you to listen to the album and figure out.”

Indian metal veterans DEMONIC RESURRECTION have just been announced to play at Wacken Open Air 2014. W:O:A is one of the worlds biggest metal festivals with almost 80,000 attendees in the small village of Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein, Northern Germany.
Check out the official statement from Wacken here.
“It’s very hard to put into words exactly how it feels. For us it’s still just a small step forward but when you’ve been busting your ass for 14 years it definitely feels like a big deal, given that it is the coveted ‘Wacken Open Air’ the festival most metal heads dream about playing or attending. It’s definitely going to be a religious experience and we’re going to deliver a kick-ass performance.” said frontman Demonstealer.
DEMONIC RESURRECTION is set to release a new album sometime this year on Candlelight Records worldwide and on Universal Music in India.
