Swedish folk metal band DIBBUKIM will release its debut album, “Az a Foygl Un A Goylem Tantsn”, on April 25 via GM Music. The group says, “[The CD] title translates [to] ‘as a bird and a golem dances,’ and we believe it captures the mood of the recording.”

“Az A Foygl Un A Goylem Tantsn” will feature 12 tracks and approximately 40 minutes of “a good mish-mash between metalized traditional Yiddish songs and newly written material.”

DIBBUKIM was formed in 2009 when Ida and Niklas Olniansky came up with the idea to start a Yiddish metal band. Old friend Magnus Wohlfart was soon recruited and work on a full-length album began.

Regarding the new CD cover artwork, DIBBUKIM said, “We’ve hired artist Jean Hessel, who we also worked with on our debut single, ‘Oyfn Veg Shteyt A Boym’, to do the cover art for the album, and we can now present the final result. We hope you all agree that Mr. Hessel has created quite a magnificent piece of art for the album, and maybe it’ll give you an idea of what the album holds in store for you music-wise.”
