With a heavy heart we have to share with you the news that Päde [Patrick Kistler] is no longer a part of Eluveitie. After six years and four albums, he leaves big shoes to fill. While we have no further comment at this time, we would like to wish him all the best for his future endeavours.
At the same time, we can announce that we have already found a very talented musician to step in and keep the show going: multi-instrumentalist Matteo Sisti, from our friends and colleagues at KRAMPUS, has not hesitated to jump in and learn our full set in just a few days. A big THANK YOU goes out to Matteo and Krampus at this point – in the midst of the European leg of our Origins World Tour, their support is much appreciated. Matteo is joining us as a temporary session musician for the remainder of this tour. We can’t wait to rock the stages together for you!

»Origins«, the bands sixth full length album was recorded at the New Sound Studios by Tommy Vetterli (CORONER, KREATOR & many more) and is the successor of the most acclaimed album »Helvetios«.
Helvetic new wave of folk metal pioneers ELUVEITIE, are set to return to the UK in support of their latest work: “Origins” – released last August and produced by legendary producer Tommy Vetterli (KREATOR, CORONER).
The UK tour is only a small fragment of a massive 37 dates tour across the entire European continent, which follows ELUVEITIE’s current North American tour. Earlier this year, the band won the ‘Best Live Act National’ award at the renowned Swiss Music Awards – the Swiss Grammy equivalent – becoming the first ever metal band to receive the honour.

The band states: “Our new album »Origins« addresses the Celtic mythology and spirituality in detail – the myths on the origins of the Gauls! This is a complex and multi-layered topic, which is difficult to work with and much scientific work. Not least because the Celts refused to write down anything on spiritual matters! This is why we have to rely on ancienthistorians of other civilisations, such as the Greeks or Romans, to tell us about the Celts and their culture.
The song ‘The Silver Sister’deals with a spiritual Celtic tradition, a tradition which is rooted deep within the Celtic mythology and ultimately coins the whole culture of the Celts. The following video shines a light on the lyrics and explains the scientific facts and insights modern research on the Celts has to offer on the topic. We hope you find these matters as thrilling and exciting as we do – enjoy!”
