“New World Shadows”, the fifth album from Finnish melodic death metallers OMNIUM GATHERUM, is available for streaming in its entirety (for a limited time only) at the Record Shop X web site. The CD was released in Europe earlier this month via Lifeforce Records and will be made available in North America on March 1.
Commented Markus Vanhala added, “Here it is, the OMNIUM GATHERUM musical evolution and career of 15 years in metal and this album surely is finally the musical diamond what we were starting to chase once we started this band. Finally every piece of the puzzle are here and the notes on the right places! This is northern death metal without limitations, really melodic and intelligent but still aggressive while quoting lines from prog to even AOR and no less than having also my teenage idol sir Dan Swanö himself singing some stuff here. Like we say it — this is adult-oriented death metal in its most epic, melodic and purest form!”
STRATOVARIUS will release their thirteenth full-length studio album, “Elysium”, in Asia on January 12, 2011 via JVC and in the rest of the world on January 14, 2011 through earMUSIC/Edel. Check out audio samples of all the songs that will appear on the CD at Amazon.co.uk.
Finnish fantasy metallers BATTLELORE have completed work on their sixth full-length album, “Doombound”, featuring 11 new songs, one of which is instrumental. As was the case with previous BATTLELORE albums, there will be a jewel-case edition of “Doombound” and a special limited-edition digipack including some rare material.
“Doombound” features 11 new songs, one of which is instrumental. The band’s first conceptual effort features lyrics which “tell the story of J.R.R. Tolkien‘s tragic hero Túrin Turambar and his kin,” according to a press release. “One of the songs is sung completely in Finnish in appreciation to BATTLELORE’s beautiful home country Finland and Kalevala, the national Finnish epic. The songs themselves are more dynamic, atmospheric and epic than ever before — prepare for the ultimate music experience and a life-long journey through the eyes of a fallen hero!”
Audio samples of all the “Doombound” tracks are available at Amazon.de.
