South African Metalcore stars FACING THE GALLOWS have released their latest single and video “Filth”, check it out below.

“Filth” is about everything that is wrong with people in the world today & how we perceive an idea of ‘change’. We do not collectively pursue enough psychical influence on a negative situation in order to have a solid impact, yet we succumb to our own ‘feel good’ attitude by engaging in uselessness. Take for instance psychical abuse, poverty and crime, we all want to see a change, but for most of us the only value we inject into those social occurrences is by sharing a sad story on social media. You call it recognition, I call it laziness. The word is slactivism and we are the victims. We won’t get up off our couches to pursue a change in this world, but we post stuff about it online like we are some sort of hero. If we don’t physically do something, how will the negativity end? Are we waiting for someone else to come and do it for us? No longer should we pretend, but if we are fine with the way the world is and we are fine living our lives while others bleed for us, we may as well go into our backyards, get a spade and start digging our graves. We are killing ourselves a little, day by day, not doing a thing about it.

Facing the Gallows will be playing OppiKoppi 9Rated one of the Top 10 festivals in the world  this year. They are known for their powerful live performances and have opened for many international acts inc. Asking Alexandra the UK rated best alternative act in 2014.
