ANGRA’s eight album, “Secret Garden”, on earMusic, has brought us a renewed sound, binding together the maturity of the band’s 23 years on the road and the freshness brought on by their passion of the music they make. Pre-produced by Roy Z (Judas Priest, Bruce Dickinson, Halford) and produced and mixed in Sweden by Jens Bogren (Kreator, Arch Enemy, Opeth), “Secret Garden” showcases all the elements that established Angra as one of the most important bands in its style: a contemporary sound combined with inspired compositions.
The video for “Final Light” from the band’s recent studio album “Secret Garden” flirts with real and imaginary elements in a dreamy landscape. Directed by Drico Mello, who is also responsible for the “Angels Cry 20th Anniversary Tour” DVD and the music video for the first single “Storm of Emotions”, among other very recognized artists, “Final Light” is completely different from everything Angra has done until now, recreating World War II air battles with vintage aircrafts and special digital effects, as seen on movies like Red Tales.
The scenes were filmed at the amazing TAM Museum in Brazil, and the entire production, makeup and aesthetics of the video were developed with the idea of having an authentic vintage feel. The immense arsenal of aircrafts in their warehouse was available for the making of the video.
One of the planes in the video clip, the North American T-6 Texan, was developed in 1935 by the US Air Force, and is a low-wing single-engine which is used to train pilots of the US Air Force, US Navy and British Royal Air Force, and other air forces around the world, including Brazil. It served as a training aircraft from World War II until the 1970s and can currently be seen in numerous air shows and static displays around the world.
