Drum-cam footage of Pearl artist Adrian Erlandsson of British gothic metal pioneers PARADISE LOST performing the song “Forever Failure” during the band’s February 2012 appearance at the Finnish Metal Expo in Helsinki, Finland can be seen below.
PARADISE LOST‘s new album,“Tragic Idol”, will be released on April 24 (one day earlier internationally) via Century Media Records. The CD was recorded in part at The Chapel studios in Lincolnshire, England and features cover art by by Parisian designer Valnoir, who has previously worked with MORBID ANGEL, LAIBACH, ULVER and WATAIN, among others. The seventh annual Finnish Metal Expo, the main event of Helsinki Metal Meeting is running over the Cable Factory on Feb 19.-20. This is where more than 50 operators in the metal music industry showcase their latest products and services in the exhibition area and the hottest metal phenomena take the stage. The live shows will be provided by the likes of ACCEPT, TRIPTYKON, SABATON, MYGRAIN, DEATHCHAIN as well as new comers THE MAN-EATING TREE, DREAMSHADE and BATTLE BEAST. More additions to the Cable Factory program will be announced shortly.
The Finnish Metal Awards gives the public the chance to vote the best of Finnish metal in 2010. The voting begins on Dec 1. at http://www.imperiumi.net/fma. The FMA-gala will be held at the Cable Factory on Saturday Feb 19.
In addition to the consumer aspect of the event, the Industry Day gathers the metal industry people from all over the world. The Industry Day will be held at the VIRGIN OIL CO. one of the main music venues in the very center Helsinki on Thursday Feb 17. Topics and guest speakers will be announced soon.
Tickets for Finnish Metal Expo will go on sale on Monday 1.11.2010 at www.lippupalvelu.fi and www.tiketti.fi.
