Dallas’ beloved death metal / hardcore unit Frozen Soul announce No Place of Warmth – a monolithic, majestic and exigent collection of anthems built on the perfect blend of ferocity and subtle melody, allowing soaring guitar leads to guide a lantern through the dark chasm of merciless riffs.
Album opener and title track “No Place of Warmth” features Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance) is “about life at its coldest and the choice you have to let it consume you, or to use it to find warmth in a world that feels void of it. Life is always coming at you, and death doesn’t stop—you might slow it down, but it’s always coming—so you have to make the best out of it and march on” reveals Frozen Soul vocalist Chad Green.
UK metal powerhouse Sylosisare pleased to announce that Heaven Shall Burn, The Black Dahlia Murder and Frozen Soul, will all be joining the bill for their show on February 20th, at London‘s O2 Forum Kentish Town. This crushing line-up is guaranteed to be metal’s billing of the year!
Sylosis stated:
“Friday 20th February marks the release of our new album ‘The New Flesh’ and what better way to celebrate than bringing this insane bill together under one roof. As soon as the fans made us aware that both shows were clashing in London on the same night, the penny dropped. This is the heaviest line up that the O2 Forum has ever seen and a night to celebrate all things metal. Head on down to our Q&A / album signing during the day then get on over to the venue for endless riffs. You do not want to miss this!”
These bands will be joining the already announced supports: Revocation (US), Distant (NL) and Life Cycles (US).
Sylosis will also be hosting an ‘Album Release Party Event‘ on February 20th from 12-5pm, at The Black Heart, Camden. The free-entry event will include an album signing session, a full-band Q&A, a merch pop-up, and food and drink specials. See flyer above for more info!

When the going gets tough, metal gets heavier. SYLOSIS have always been devoted to the fine art of breaking necks, but in recent times, the urgency of their mission has grown exponentially. Still surfing on a wave of acclaim and the effusive fan response to their last album, 2023’s A Sign Of Things To Come, Josh Middleton’s virtuoso wrecking crew are poised to release their latest and best album, The New Flesh. A towering testament to destructive riffing, incisive melody and refined brute force, the band’s seventh full-length offering is a powerful showcase for the state of SYLOSIS in 2025: lethal, uncompromising, and avowedly metal as all hell.
The New Flesh is a fearsome statement of renewed intent. Harder, heavier and more ruthless than its predecessor, it is full of the kind of explosive, riff-driven anthems that guarantee carnage in the pit. But this is no exercise in mindless bludgeon: instead, Josh Middleton has penned his most evocative and thought-provoking songs to date. From the punishing grooves and breakneck viciousness of the opening ‘Beneath The Surface‘, to the epic conflagration of album closer ‘Seeds In The River‘, The New Flesh is an artful and nuanced take on the pure metal that SYLOSIS hold close to their hearts. This is brutality and catchiness in perfect symbiosis.
Dark and destructive, but dynamic and diligent, SYLOSIS are on blistering, career-best form on The New Flesh. The purposeful reset that began with The Sign Of Things To Come has evolved into something unstoppable, and the band’s latest work brims with confidence and authority. If it’s skull-shattering, 21st century heavy metal you want, The New Flesh brings it like never before.
There’s a chill in the air and it’s courtesy of ice cold death metal crew FROZEN SOUL!
The band — vocalist Chad Green; guitarists Michael Munday and Chris Bonner; bassist Samantha Mobley; and drummer Matt Dennard — is back with frigid force and will unleash its new album Glacial Domination on May 19 via Century Media. The album was produced by Trivium vocalist/guitarist Matthew K. Heafy and co-produced by Daniel Schmuck. Pre-order it here.
The band has shared the video for the title track. Watch it here
It features a cameo from Heafy, as well as a past vs. future battle that ends with someone’s arm being ripped off!
“‘Glacial Domination’ was co-written by the band and Matt Heafy of Trivium,” Frozen Soul share. “We had a lot of fun exploring new things like catchier choruses, more leads, and solos. It’s an avalanche of riffs leaning in traditional Frozen Soul but adding some new flavor. At the end of the day, we wanted to write a catchy and fun death metal song! It’s paired with another video by Brendan McGowen that features Matt and a fight between a stranded, time-traveling space man and a literal caveman — what’s not to love about that?!”
GLACIAL DOMINATION TRACK LISTING: “Invisible Tormentor” “Arsenal Of War“ “Death And Glory” “Morbid Effigy“ “Annihilation” “Glacial Domination” “Frozen Soul” “Assimilator” “Best Served Cold” “Abominable” “Atomic Winter”
