Italian technical death metallers NODE – one of the organizers of the benefit concert “Rock For Sveta” – have issued as follows:

Sunday March 13, some Italian rock/metal artists, NODE, EXTREMA, EXILIA, FUROR GALLICO, MELLOWTOY, HOLY SHIRE, CASABLANCA and MARIO RISO will give a benefit concert to raise funds for Svitlana “Sveta” Trepyton, a 36 year old Ukrainian woman who just gave birth to her fourth baby. Quite soon after the birth, she started to suffer strong headaches, nausea, dizziness, and after an MRI scan the doctors discovered she has a big brain tumor, a Meningioma.

In Ukraine, where Svitlana lives, they do not operate on a cancer like this, even if in its early stage, because her cancer is too big and no one wants to take the responsibility for it, but there’s a place in Israel where she can be helped. The doctor who can help her is called Navo Margalit, and he is one of the best experts in the world. This kind of cancer does not make metastasis, but if it gets big it compresses brain cells. Svitlana can no longer see from one eye, she has big problems in articulating words and can’t walk anymore. The problem is that she doesn’t have any medical insurance and her family can not afford the treatment for her. Her family really needs help, she needs to have the surgery as soon as  possible. It was scheduled for March 10th, but they had to postpone it to March 21st because first she needs to be prepared for it.

The Event is called “Rock For Sveta” and it will take place on March 13th at Legend Club in Milan (Italy). The ticket price (7 €) will be donated entirely for the surgery. The Facebook Event page HERE.
